Y'all! I have done it all! I have given Lila a redemption, the butterfly miraculous has been taken, Chloe would never be on Hawkmoth's side because Chloe has been robbed by Miracle Queen, turned Marinette evil without being akumatised, and we even got some Cat Blanc stuff! Ladynoir the whole way even with some Adrigami and Marichat… wait, that hasn't happened yet, but we're finally at the last book of the Call Me mini series that I have made and I AM SOOOO HAPPY! The idea came to me while listening to Queen of Mean, so I wrote the one-shot, and then the thought came to me I should add more because sad stories, still up for the happy ending. Welcome to CALL ME YOUR KITTY!
Sadness is a feeling that no one wants to feel. It just doesn't feel worth it. Why not be happy? That is true, but not possible for this kitty. Cat Noir had just lost a friend- and a loved one- not physically, but spiritually.
Marinette had sided with Shadowmoth, or now Shadowbird. Cat Noir's heart ached. Of course, right now he was Adrien Agreste. Hiding. The whole thing had given Adrien a good reason to stay home. His father even let him cancel everything on his schedule. On such a bad day, his father seemed happy… For no good reason whatsoever. Paris was in more danger than ever and his father was happy. It seemed horrible.
"Adrien?" came Kagami's voice.
"Come in," Adrien said. Kagami entered through the door and shut it softly.
"Are you okay? Everyone is taking Marinette's- err- change, very harshly," Kagami said. Adrien's eyes darted down. Kagami sat beside Adrien.
"This is so strange. I should've just called her," Adrien said. "This is my fault."
"It is not your fault, and don't you dare talk about yourself like that," Kagami said. "You are stronger than that." Adrien looked up at Kagami with tear filled eyes.
"But Marinette-"
"No buts, you are stronger than you are being. Marinette made her choice, and now we have to reason with her," Kagami said. She gently lifted Adrien's chin with the pads of her fingers. "You love her, don't you?"
"No! I love you, Kagami!" Adrien protested, but his voice faltered.
"You love her, you and I both know that," Kagami said. "Listen, we will find a way out of this mess. You and Marinette can be together."
"What about you?" Adrien's heart ached to hear Kagami saying this. He still loved her. It was all very complicated.
"I will find a way to heal, don't you worry," Kagami said. Though she said that, Adrien couldn't help but worry about the raven-haired girl. They had been through so much together. Kagami kissed Adrien on the cheek and said, "It'll be okay." Kagami got up, sensing Adrien wanted some time alone, and went quietly out the door. "Call me if you need anything. Oh, and do one thing for me: Don't get hurt trying to help Marinette." (I nearly flipped writing the "call me" part. I'm like, oh crap. Luckily the sentence cleared itself up. Also, MY POOR BABY GIRL!)
"Look, kid," Plagg said, flying out. "Little red is right." (Thank you KagamiPINKAgreste for that name. Plagg gotta have his nicknames)
"I guess you both are," Adrien sighed. "I just need to clear my head for a little while."
"You know what always helps me?" Plagg asked.
"What? Cheese?"
"Yep, a nice big lump of camembert," Plagg said, swallowing a giant piece before continuing. "Look, you will be able to talk some sense into pigtails. She loves you just as much as you love her. Some strings just need to be pulled before you can be together. She doesn't want this and you know that. You guys can figure this out together."
Adrien managed a smile when an akuma alert started going off. Right now it was only an amok, but that didn't stop Shadowbird. "Plagg, claws out!" Plagg could hardly realize the akuma alert before Adrien could say that. And Cat Noir was off in a flash.
It wasn't long before all the other superheroes appeared. Without the Ladybug, purifying the amok will have to be done with Cat Noir's cataclysm. And at that, there is no way to truly purify the amok. That is, unless Ladybug switches. Not going to be easy, though.
Ladybug's amok was, ironically, a giant black cat. Then it struck him. Ladybug did love him. No one else! But of course, it would be easy to just say I love you and switch Ladybug or Marinette or ALL OF THIS CONFUSING STUFF. (Actually, it would be. I just make the characters oblivious. Plus, Plagg said it himself. He will be able to talk some sense into "pigtails.")
"You need to talk to her," Volpina said.
"It's not going to be that easy, Volpina," Cat responded.
"Volpina is right," Ryoku said. "She just needs someone to talk some sense into her."
"And as much as I despise Dupain-Cheng, she deserves someone who cares about her. Look, Cat Noir, you're the one she loves," Queen Bee said.
"As much as I hate to say it, QB's got a point," Carapace said.
"She loves you," Viperion said. "That's what's going on. If she knows you love her back, it'll all be okay." Right. Viperion was Luka. Luka was Marinette's ex… (MY POOR BABY ANGEL!)
"I will try," Cat Noir said.
"You better do better than try," Ryoku said. "You better do it." Cat Noir felt a stirring inside of him. There was only one thing he could do.
Ladybug hoped down and kept her distance, swinging her yo-yo to make it feel like she had a shield. "Kitty, I don't want to hurt you. Give me your ring and this all can stop." Ladybug's voice shook, and tears tumbled down her cheek.
"No," Cat Noir said. "You know there will be a consequence to every wish."
"I'm willing to pay the price!" Ladybug cried, and threw her yo-yo at Cat Noir who spun his baton in a circle, the yo-yo bouncing off.
"We don't need a wish, m'lady!" Cat Noir said. "I love you anyway." Ladybug froze. Tears fell down her cheeks faster and harder.
"No one will ever see me the same!" Ladybug said. "Marinette has betrayed their trust!"
"That is my fault!" Volpina said, making her voice heard. "I betrayed everyone's trust. I made you break. I pushed you until you couldn't handle it. This is my fault."
Ladybug looked at Volpina with sincere interest. "You- You mean it?"
"Yes. You don't deserve to be looked at differently," Volpina said. "I do." Ladybug dropped her yo-yo, and dropped to her knees. Her amok stood above her, protectively.
Cat Noir walked slowly up to Ladybug, only for the amok to drop it's head and growl. "You want to protect her, and I want to protect her." Cat Noir put his hand on the black cat's nose. "Let me protect her." The amok stopped growling, and honestly looked surprised. The amok slowly started to fade and a white feather flew out. A gasp was earned from the crowd. What had caused the amok to change?
Cat Noir walked and pulled Ladybug against his chest. "Spots off," said Ladybug's shaky voice. Marinette's breathing wasn't steady.
"Shh," Cat Noir said, holding the trembling girl. "I will protect you. We all will."
"What happened to our deal, Ladybug?" Shadowbird said, landing next to the group.
"She has a name," Cat Noir hissed. "Her name is Marinette!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know that. But we had a deal," Shadowbird said.
"She's not going to give you her miraculous!" Tikki defended.
"None of us will let you," Volpina said, the rest of the heroes lining up in a V.
"This is your fault, my dear Rossi," Shadowbird said with a smirk.
"I'm not your puppet anymore," Volpina said, flinching.
Queen Bee snick out of the line and shouted, "VENOM!" She stung Shadowbird and grabbed the peacock miraculous. She tossed it to Volpina just before everyone realized that Gabriel Agreste was standing in Shadowbird's place.
The whole world seemed to tumble onto Cat Noir. His father was Hawkmoth, Shadowmoth, and Shadowbird. He ignored that and held Marinette, who gasped and said, "How will Adrien react..?"
"I'm right here, Marinette," Cat Noir whispered. "I've been here the whole time."
"Kitty?" Marinette looked into Cat Noir's eyes. "You're- Adrien?"
"Claws in," Cat Noir said, a green light enveloping him.
"I always knew you had a secret like this, Adrien," Ryoku said. "That's why I knew you would want to be with Marinette."
"Thank you, Kagami," Adrien said. Finally, Paris could be at peace. Finally, everyone could be normal teenagers.
