Dreams. When one closes their eyes, how is it that they are able to manifest such intricate worlds? These thoughts plauged through the dimly lit corridors walked a silver haired god, clad in his traditional attire, a silken toga, the color of the midnight sky, stars glittering in the fabric, the occasional shooting star crossing the garment. Now was around the time she would be there again. He placed a hand on his chest, what was this feeling? At the thought of this person, his chest tightened. It wasn't that long ago that he had come across someone such as them.

"You're only going to get your heart broken, Sesshoumaru-sama" His most trusted advisor, Kagura stood just infront of his destination, a golden ornate door, she closed her fan and held it across the width of the door. "Not that a monster like you would ever know of such emotions."

His brow knit, shoving her aside, upon opening the door an inch the sweet scent of violets happily invaded his senses. Sesshoumaru was greeted by the sunlight, warm and inviting, He stood under the shade of a grand oak, the person he came to observe at the bottom of the hill, her laughter ringing out into the open space. The edge of his lips curled up into a ghost of a smile, watching the scene unfold before him. A scene quite amusing for there was a battlefield just below, stuffed animals of all shapes and sizes, brandishing weapons, armor, some even riding the others as their noble steeds. The young woman in question wore a silver breastplate, a sword in one hand, a shield in the other. Her eyes fierce, unyielding she charged. Her oversized pink steed rushing down the battle field, her helmet was shot off of her head, causing her black unruly hair to fall around her shoulders. And at the sight of her, Sesshoumaru found that all reason had left his thoughts. The slightest tinge of pink graced his unearthly features.

It wasn't long that she proclaimed her victory amongst her subjects and the veil of the land began to become hazy, light.. It would seem that their time had come to a close once again and the handsome god had not gotten any closer to his goal. Without a word, he left.

He continued his work without a gripe or word to his fellow celestial beings. If he encountered a child with a nightmare his familiar would silently guide them to a safer subconscious. The fluffy white dog gave off the very same soft ethereal glow as his hair, as if constantly bathed in the moonlight. It ran up beside it's master raising a paw in a job well done.

How many days have passed? To someone such as he there was no way to tell Sesshoumaru allowed himself to enter the realm once again... her realm. Though..the same sunlight now seemed bleak. He walked along with his familiar in tow to find the girl in a heap on the floor. Disheveled, her armor strewn about, she tried to scream and cry but no sound would leave her.

The pup neared, a whine of encouragement as he licked her tears from her dirty face.

"What ails you, young one?"

She pet the animal and let out a sob of a smile. Well, there were stranger things that happened here.

"Some painful memories, little guy." Her eyes widened as she was now able to speak her mind.

"Little guy? My name is Sesshoumaru." The air rung sweetly with her laughter. The pup was now sprawled between her arms, his tummy ready for all the loving she bestowed upon him and boy was he absolutely estatic over the affection.

"Sesshoumaru... what an interesting name for a doggy."

"The pup does not have a name." She turned in the direction of the voice. His expressionless eyes took in her every feature as this was the first time he had laid eyes on her this close. Bruises marred her skin, Sesshoumaru's blood began to boil. He placed a tender hand on her face.

"You are injured." Heat rose to her face, she brought her black hair to cover what he could see as well as her sight. She couldn't risk staring for too long.

"It's nothing, I had a bad spill is all."

"Who?"

"What?"

"Who dare lay a finger on you?"

"What do you care? You don't even know me."

Silence. He was about to retort when he found his presence wavering. No, it was much too soon. He reached for her once again and she was gone, Sesshoumaru was once again alone, his stewing anger the only other thing to keep him company.
