In Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, it was a constant struggle. The rangers battled constantly to thwart the plans of the evil Lord Drakkon.
But behind the scenes, when the consoles were off and the controllers were down, everyone seemed to get along. All the characters hung out in a huge area with everything they needed: bedrooms, a TV, a kitchen.
The area was split into two sections: the main lounge and the Villains Lounge. Lord Drakkon, due to being an evil version of Tommy Oliver in the game, was classified as a ranger and put in the main lounge. He and Tommy seemed to have a telepathic way of thinking.
A few of the rangers were currently in the living room in the main lounge, watching TV.
"What do you guys think is going on in the Villains Lounge?" Eric Myers, the Quantum Ranger from Time Force asked.
"Lord Zedd is probably calling the developers, begging them to put Rita in the game again," Jason Lee Scott, the OG Red Ranger from MMPR answered, chuckling.
"I can't say I blame him," Drakkon said. "I mean, how can you have a Power Rangers game and NOT have the original villain?"
"Evil me's got a point, guys," Tommy said, to which the others nodded in agreement.
After a quick moment, RJ, the Wolf Ranger from Jungle Fury, turned to talk to the ranger sitting next to him. "Yo, Zack, you did awesome in that last fight," he said.
The ranger he was speaking to, the Mastadon Sentry, did not have a name in the game, but behind the scenes, he was, for all intents and purposes, Zack, the black ranger from MMPR.
"What can I say?" Zack replied. "The devs made me excel at range for a reason."
Just then, the PA system went off, alerting everyone in both lounges.
"Attention, everyone," Zordon said over the PA system, "it is time for curfew. We have much more fighting to do tomorrow, I assure you."
"Well, guess we better get to bed," Gia Moran, the yellow Megaforce ranger said.
"You guys remember where you sleep?" Kimberly, the MMPR pink ranger, also known as the Ranger Slayer in the game, asked.
"Yep, we remember," Drakkon answered. "Good night, guys."
The rangers all bid each other good night, as everyone in both lounges headed to their rooms, falling asleep in their beds, hoping to get plenty of rest for when they needed to play their in-game roles again.
(A/N: And there it is! Just a short little introduction to a series of stories I'll be doing. I bought Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid pretty recently, and I've been having a blast with it.
I wanted to write something like this for a bit, but never got around to do it until now!
A few quick disclaimers here: One, this series of stories will be written purely for fun, so don't expect anything canon to take place. Two, like this story said, Drakkon is technically a ranger, since he's an evil version of Tommy in the game. And three, I decided to name the Mastadon Sentry Zack since he has Zack's black ranger suit. That and it would be easier than to just refer to him as the Mastadon Sentry every time he's mentioned XD.
