Janus had seen enough of this bullshit. He was getting tired of watching the Powers that be setting up wildly extensive plans that rarely worked and often led to disaster. It also didn't help that even now the weapons of man were unable to kill a few of the more powerful beings. There was also the fact that Everything seemed to be heading for an unwinnable fight. Janus had come to a decision that it was time for something new. Something to be gained. It had taken much in the way of convincing to get all the help he needed. It had also seemed to gain a dogmatic following from his fellow gods and titans of change chaos and doorways. The desire to destroy what was and create what was to be was something that they all needed. It had taken meeting all the God-kings and all the wisdom deities to drag out his idea but it was agreed upon in the end. It was decided that the best warrior from amongst the god would take the fight to the strongest demons so that they could capture them and use them as fuel for the change. It was easy to say everything but it came pretty close. It took a lot of planning to raid various Hell realms to get the most powerful demons, but they managed to do it in time for halloween. Oh yes it was time to get started on destroying reality.

Various 'gods' had gathered in an unknown and more importantly unobserved plane to discuss a problem taking place. They discussed intervening with humanities plight for one final time.

Odin stroked his long beard and gazed into the abyss with his single eye. "If we do this it will cause as much harm as it would good."

"It would but it would break the control of the PtB so at this point we should go ahead with this plan. It's the best way to kick out the demons once and for all." Athena stated with apathy.

"Are there any precautions being taken?" Asked Loki being the pragmatic god of mischief.

"Indeed. We weren't going to allow any transference of the Marvel, DC, or Dragonball universes." Said Hermes with a shudder.

"Yeah I'm glad of that. Just the idea of a Yeerk or Goauld getting ahold of a kryptonian, a kree, or a Saiyan is terror fuel." Amaterasu said with a shudder.

"You said weren't going to allow?" Odin asked thoughtfully.

"That was merely a grammatical failure we aren't going to allow Races with such power in." Athena said with some force.

"Hmm. So, we are all in agreement then?" Aman-Ra asked imperiously.

"Indeed." Anansi said with a mischievous smirk. "Time to free the destiny of humanity."

Xander Harris stared at the world of Science Fiction in front of him. There were Costumes from every franchise he had ever loved. Fallout, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Star Trek just to name a few. He wandered through the rows of costumes looking for something to choose, all ideas of a soldier left him. That was until he came to the Doom isle and found the Fatigues, dog tags, and gun of Staff Seargent John 'reaper' Grimm. Yeah, that was when Xander was once again fully behind being a soldier. He looked at the price tag and winced but decided that it didn't matter he was going to buy it, trip or no trip he'd be cool for once in his life damn it. He grabbed the costume and made his way to the cashier. It was time to go be a badass for once

Buffy gazed forlornly at the costumes. Every one of them was something Sci-fi and nothing that she recognized. She wandered around looking for anything that would give her what she wanted. Something to look good for Angel. She was about to storm off in a huff when Willow said.

"Hey Buffy look at this!" Buffy heroically drug herself out of her funk to gaze at the costumes on display. It was some kind of alien and a human soldier.

"Who is this willow?" Buffy asked trying for enthusiasm. Willow obviously didn't detect Buffy's lack of enthusiasm because she went into a lengthy diatribe about some Alien Game called Knight of something or another, the only part that caught Buffy's attention was that these characters were dating. So, she quickly said good bye to Willow and rushed the costumes to the cashier.

Willow watched Buffy dash out the door with a bemused smile. She was pretty sure that all Buffy had heard her say was that Bastila was Revan's main love interest. Oh well it wasn't like it actually mattered. As she began to turn away, she saw that there was A Female Shepard costume. Willow almost started to salivate at the very sight of said costume. She snatched it down and rushed from the isle towards the cashier.

Ay jay Che was confused. She had no idea what primitive planet she was on, but it certainly wasn't the arena. She was also confused as to why she was surrounded by children. Some of which were ARMED little girls, and some of which were obviously alien in nature. Not that it mattered to her they were obviously children, and as such she would care for them until she was sure they were safe. She looked down at the gun in her hands and smirked. It was a level 4 alternator. She quickly checked her bag to find a dozen spare magazines, and two health kits and three incendiary grenades. She quickly stowed the grenades in her belt pouch and gave her robot an affectionate pat before turning to the children and asking.

"Do any of you know where we are?" she asked looking at the children with a hopeful look. One of the small girls looked to the others then shook her head at Lifeline. Lifeline looked around at the buildings and then at the skyline. "I don't know what's goin' on here but I think we should get somewhere defensible so that we can-" Whatever else she was going to see was going to say was cut off by a loud deep growl. Then there was an explosion underground. Lifeline didn't like the looks of that. She liked what came up out of the ground even less. They came up from underground in a shambling horde. Numbers uncountable, walking on rotten limbs, eyes as dead as anything she had witness after a failed rescue. The only difference was that these people-things were moving towards her, and by extension, the children. Without a backward glance she began shooting the creatures. "You children need to get ta cover ya hear me?!" She roared as she took out three of the creatures. She could hear some of the children stepping up towards her. She was about to start reprimanding them when she heard the blast of a few different guns being fired from both sides of her. With a quick gaze to her left and right she saw a group of young kids with a veritable armory firing into the oncoming creatures. There were three girls on the right side of her, and two girls and a boy on the left. All of them had weapons. From a trench shotgun, to an old-fashioned Sniper rifle, as well as what looked like the predecessor to the Prowler PDW. Each of the kids was a serious crack shot. With a grimace Lifeline went back to shooting the creatures. She began noticing a disturbing trend by the time she was replacing her weapons third magazine. The number of destroyed creatures was multiplying but more seemed to be coming.

She growled in annoyance. Then said to the children. "Fall back! We have to find a defensible place to get the other children." the only boy in the group of children, a dark-skinned white-haired boy with a scar below his left eye nodded. Before he slung the assault rifle he had been using across his back, and drawing a pistol. "I'm out of bullets." He said by way of explanation. Shay noticed that the boy wasn't the only one swapping out for a secondary firearm, in fact she was down to the last half a clip in her own primary weapon. Granted she had a P2020 with hammerpoint rounds, but she didn't have but three clips. Things were not looking good. Even with all the dead...things there were still more coming. She was beginning to feel hopeless when she had an idea. She pulled out her comm and tapped at it for a few moments activating it on all channels. "This is Ay Jay Shay I'm currently surrounded by, …..things attacking me and a group of twelve children. I have six children that seemed to have been trained in combat but the other six have not. We're all runnin' low on ammo and we are down to hand guns. I'm setting my com ta trackin' mode. Please someone we need help! …...Silva if you can hear dis, please come quickly." Lifeline put down her comm and opened fire into the incoming horde with her alternator. The two barreled automatic weapon was soon empty.

She waved the children back as she whipped out her personal P2020. The white and gold weapon skin looking tacky in this setting but her Lady Justice had never failed her. With a frown she stood between the children and the creatures. She quickly dropped the five creatures that were closest to them all. She wasn't ready to die here. Her thought process was interrupted by the sound of her comm going off. "This is an emergency message to all people. This is Nora James General of the minute men of the commonwealth. I am aboard the Prydwen and am sending out My Vertibirds. I need all civilians to ping their locations via the Global Positioning Satellites! People in need of immediate assistance should send up smoke or flares or any way to flag down a passing Vertibird. My soldiers and companions are willing and able to provide assistance and extraction. This message will repeat on all frequencies." Lifeline honestly didn't have any idea what a Vertibird was but it sounded like someone was calling in the Calvary. This was the first piece of good news. The second was the arrival of a friend, in the form of a dust cloud in front of lifeline. Out of the cloud rose a figure, and then came a glow about chest height. Followed by the sound of gunfire then the sound of bodies dropping. The figure turned around and held up his hand.

"Hello friend I have come to provide back up." Pathfinder said with a smiley face on his emote screen. "High five?" Lifeline smiled fondly at the robot before giving in and high fiving it. "It's good ta see ya, Pathfinder." She watched happily as Pathfinder opened fire with mechanical precision with a custom R-301. She wasn't sure what all was on it, but his rapid firing was dropping an enemy with each pull of the trigger. She also didn't have to think long about what a Vertibird was. An old-fashioned Helo with two sets of rotating blades. It dropped from the sky and then came the sound of a heavy machine gun. With then amount of bullet casing raining down it was no surprise that the clearing was soon free of enemies. The vertibird landed and a pair of soldiers in sterile combat outfits.

"We are here to provide exfiltration to a safe location." The first man said making a salute to Lifeline. Lifeline smiled in relief. "Come on Pathfinder we need to get dese children somewhere safe!" Pathfinder turned to her and gave a thumbs up sign before helping the children into the Helo. Lifeline was the last person on the Helo.

Commander Shepard was glaring at the incoming horde before her. These things were similar to husks but not quite. But that wasn't the biggest problem. She could easily wipe out a horde of these things even by herself. No, the problem was the group of kids behind her. She couldn't go all out against these things AND take care of these children! At the moment she was destroying the husk like creatures was a bit difficult because she was so used to fighting in the front lines, always pushing forward and never caring what was left behind. But she wasn't going to just stand aside either.

With a quick comm buzz she got ahold of E.D.I. and said. "EDI, I don't know what the hell is going on here but I need you to patch me through to any members of the ground team available!"

"Right away Shepard!" E.D.I.s voice sounded through the comms. Shepard prepped her special pump shotgun and began to fire into the incoming creatures. The weapon was one she had designed on the sly using Cerberus' money for the alliance special forces. Instead of using throw away heat sinks it used six of the old-style heat sinks. These heat sinks would be ejected from the chamber and into a coolant filled drum, whilst a freshly cooled heatsink went into the chamber. With this system the shotgun could be fired continuously without having to change heat sinks or wait for a cool down. She also had made the same system for an Assault Rifle and a Sniper Rifle. These were weapons for the N7s to use against the Reapers. But here was the kicker. She hadn't had time to get them put into production. Yet here was undoubtable the most devastating shotgun in the galaxy in her hands. Well, she couldn't say that she was displeased. She was lost though. Most of the children she was protecting weren't species she knew of.

Shepard was busy killing the creature and hunkering down the children, when the comm came to life. "Shepard this is Miranda, I'm on route to you with Jack and Liara!"

"Shepard this is Garrus, I have Grunt and Vega inbound to your location."

"Siha I'm bringing Tali and Samara to you now."

"Shepard this is Jacob. I have Zaeed and Kaiden with me."

"Ashley here inbound with Legion and Javik"

"Shepard." Came a hard teeth grinding voice. "This is Tela Vasir. I'm enroute with Jondum Bau, and Nihulis."

Shepard felt her heart stop. Kaiden? Thane? Legion? What was going on? They were all dead. That included the last three. Fellow spectres, one of which she had killed herself. Goddamnit She had been at Thane's bed side. Not that it mattered. She had died when she destroyed the Reapers. She was trying very hard to NOT think about this. Thankfully it seemed almost all of her team was on the way, even the ones who died. Well, this just became a whole hell of a lot weirder.

Then her Omnitool opened up and played a message that let her know just how weird this was. Commonwealth? Commonwealth of what? Oh well maybe she could get the children somewhere safe, and on the off chance this commonwealth was anything like Cerberus. Well, she could deal with that to.

Staff Sargeant John 'Reaper' Grimm was surrounded by what looked like C-24 mutations. There were also a group of children huddled behind him. This was not an ideal situation. He also had the Bio Force Gun strapped to his back. Well, that made things interesting. He looked at all the incoming mutations and aimed his RRTS assault rifle. The first shot took the head off of the closest mutation. Reaper grinned sadistically then he began to take the monsters out at speeds usually only seen in running cheetahs. The children watched in awe as this soldier took out the mutations with ease, Until the things lay dead at his feet. Then they heard a growl.

Reaper turned to look at a hulking mountain of muscle. "Big fella." He said in a soft Australian drawl. Then he set his face in grim determination and rushed forward shooting the fifty-caliber full metal jacket round into the creatures left shoulder. it surprised him slightly when the creature shrugged off the grapefruit sized whole and kept coming. This didn't stop Reaper though. He smashed the stock of his rifle into the things face with the force of a Mack truck. The Tank was thrown backwards. Reaper then grinned and pumped the last three bullets in his mag into the tank's head. With the mutation's head destroyed, Reaper turned to survey the children. Three were human, just regular children as far as he could tell. One looked like a baby bigfoot, and the last one looked like she was in some kind of space suit. His ear comm began to relay a message from someone called Nora James. As he listened to the message, he noticed that the young girl in the space suit had a glowing computer on her hand that was relaying the same information. He decided to ignore that for now and reload his RRTS assault rifle. He also pulled out a phosphorus flare and looked at the children.

"You need to listen to me now." He told the children. "I'm going to signal these 'Commonwealth' people. If they aren't on the level, I'll protect you but we need to get away from these Mutations. Now this is phosphorus. It will hurt your eyes so I'm going to throw it behind us and we're NOT going to look at it ok?" The children all nodded and watched him closely. It seemed that once he had proven capable, they decided to trust him, well that worked for him. Time to call in some back up.

Josey Wales looked around him in consternation. This was NOT the Mojave, even though he could clearly see the Lucky 38 in the middle of this town. There also seemed to be an outbreak of feral ghouls. Not to mention some of Christine and Veronica's little cousins grouped behind him in fear. Not that he blamed them, they seemed to be VERY young not even old enough to start taking classes in being an initiate to the brotherhood. With a frown he pulled out a cigarette and casually lit it up with Benny's old zippo. The look the children sent him as the Ghouls closed in was funny but he didn't show it. He had always been a private person, that trait had only worsened after the disastrous courier mission for House. But that didn't really matter they were just ghouls. After taking a drag from the cigarette he whipped the side of his duster and pulled his plasma defender. It was his favorite energy weapon. He'd modded it with a scope, a sheathe stabilizer, and a high-capacity terminal. All in all, it was one dangerous weapon. With a quick application of his pip boy's V.A.T.s system he killed the closest six Ghouls with head shots leaving super-heated plasma leaking from the new holes in their respective heads. Then he began to slowly walk through the group of radiated zombies. Each shot was in a vital area. The enemies just dropped to the ground leaking plasma and melting into goo piles from the wounds. He was actually force to quickly reload his weapon, but he finally managed to take out the last Ghoul was dead. Then he heard the transmission from Nora James. He didn't know what the Prydwen was or who the minute men were for that matter, but he did know what a Vertibird was. Well looks like someone had called in the calvery. He tipped his desperado cowboy hat back, and finished his cigarette.

"Looks like we got company on the way." He told the children. He then began looking through the item storage before turning the Flare Gun back into solid form from the data storage. This device's abilities never cease to amazing him. With the Flare gun now a solid weight in his hands he pointed it skyward and fired a flare into the sky. Help was on the way.

Master Chief Petty Officer 117 stood looking at the surrounding area. It was no location he had ever seen. The entire area was very primitive. He didn't know how he had gotten here but he wasn't happy about it. The last thing he remembered was going into Cryo after destroying Gravemind. Now here he was in some primitive backwater, but the worst part was that he was standing between children and what looked to be flood hosts. This was NOT a good day. On the upside he seemed to be loaded for Brutes. He had a M80B rocket launcher as well as an M392 DMR in his hands and a Plasma sword hilt on his thigh. Well at least he was locked and loaded. He began taking precise shots at the Flood Hosts and quickly dropping then with clean efficient head shots. He didn't know what was going on but it didn't matter. He was the tip of the spear for the U.N.S.C. and these things had to die to protect the children behind him. That was all he needed to know.

Canderous Ordo, a grizzled veteran of the Mandalorian wars and fully acknowledged Mandalore before his death was confused. Here he was in some primative party{?} surrounded by people he didn't know and aliens he'd never seen. This couldn't be the afterlife, could it? Some primitive backwater with building of wood and stone? Surely not. But he knew that he was dead, and here he was. Beside him was a woman in Mandalorian armor with a jet pack on her back and her helmet in her hand. He didn't recognize her. But then there were millions of Mandalorians.

"Tion gar gai? Din'kartay."{What's your name? Sitrep.} He demanded in Mando'a.

The woman looked affronted by this. And was about to reply when an explosion happened outside and all chatter stopped, and things got interesting. He readied his weapon and prepared for a fight.

The various 'gods' had all pulled together and sent synchronized attacks into the various major hell verses attacking earth. It was deemed that all the warrior gods would attack the major demonic threats. Thor, Ares, Guan Yu, and all the other Gods of war went after the Wolf the Ram and the Hart. Loki, Anansi, and Coyote all went to set up energy siphons at the various hellmouths around the world. Odin, Zeus, and Amen-Ra began to centralize their pantheons power. When this was done none of them would be powerful enough to do much of anything. Quite a few would probably Fade from existence. That however was irrelevant, they had all grown tired of the foolish deal that the PTB had agreed to but it wasn't like they were exactly smart. Any idiot could tell you that a demon was going to do everything in their power to come out on top of any agreement. Oh well that wasn't going to matter after tonight.
