The interview to get into UA felt so long ago. Sky remembered being so nervous. Though his mom was there with him, he still felt out of place. There were kids of all different abilities and looks but he still felt like an outsider. He hadn't been in Japan for long, just a year and a half, but it was still such an adjustment. One of the four recommended students to Japan's premier high school for heroes he stood wary of the next three years. To be the hero he knew he could be. After the everything that had happened at UA two years ago.

As he walked through the gate, He ran his fingers through his hair nervously. He hadn't cut his hair since the interview it was still so thick and bushy. His skin, a dark ebony, was starting to percolate with beads of sweat. Though it was a cool early April morning, he felt like he was on fire. Sky took after his father, cautious, gentle and too introspective. Just as well, considering he was a spitting image of him. It was time. The cherry blossoms were in bloom, as Sky entered the gate, a bunch of blossoms fell from one of the trees. Walking into the school He watched as the wind blew the petals and sighed. Sky walked into the imposing doors that led to his classroom. He opened the door slowly with a nervous caution. He was the son of two heroes. One from Burkina Faso and one from Japan. He still missed the African sun running in his bare feet and using his quirk freely and playing with his brother and mother. But that was a year ago now and now he was here. At one of the best hero schools in the world, UA. As he opened the door, he went in and sat down at his seat right in the middle of the classroom. There were a few people there talking in a language that he barely understood. His Japanese was still not the greatest and as a result he stayed relatively quiet waiting for people to slowly file in and class to start. He recognized some people from the entrance exam many with very interesting quirks.

(Sky Chinakazawazawa, Quirk: Half Land Half Sky: Has the ability to control air from his arms and earth from his legs he has yet to explore the magnitude of his quirk)

This was the start of his journey to be like one of the great heroes of his day like his parents. He never dreamed of being a part of this school. His mother would often watch the sports festival and reminisce about the fun times that she had at UA and how awesome it would be if one of her kids were to go. He didn't want to disappoint his mother but at the same time he didn't know what he was doing here. That might have been the reason that, despite getting in on recommendations, which is very difficult to do and having a very good dual quirk, he still was in Class-B. Though originally there was very little difference between the two classes, over the past few years, Class-B was seen as the lesser of the two hero classes with potential heroes that perhaps where not seen as being as much potential being the best of the best. At least compared to the other twenty or so kids in the other class. As apprehensive as he was, Sky was ready to at least try to make it as a hero. A few more kids filed into the class. Sky's attention immediately turned to this girl who shyly walked through the door. As she was one of the last people to walk in, she had very few seating options. She sat next to him and introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Ariel Bellows" she whispered, clearly still nervous. "I'm Sky…You're not from Japan, are you?"

"No, I'm from Australia actually"

"What made you end up here? I mean that UA is a good school and all. But the language barrier must have been a huge hurdle!" Sky inquired, leaning back in his chair.

"It's been rather tough, but I want to be the best hero I can be, just like All Might!"

Before he could get another word out, Sky's eyes were immediately diverted to the front of the class. His homeroom teacher had entered. A large and imposing man with white hair and sharp canines entered the front of the room. Needless to say, he was intimidated and judging from looking at the rest of his class, they felt the same way. Sky seemed to have a passing recollection of this man as a pro hero. He was one of the pro heroes that was in the training camp when the league of villains attacked two years ago. It's part of the reason why Sky ended up at UA it was because he was amazed at the level of skill that all the students possessed. More so than watching students at the sports festival, it was watching these kids be heroes. It was pretty amazing and so to emulate that would be a great first step towards being a pro hero that everyone would be proud of.

His homeroom introduced himself as Kan Sensei but like most of the class, Sky knew him by his hero name Vlad King. "It looks like I've got a good group of heroes in this class this year" He bellowed gruffly "perhaps you guys might be able to dethrone class A at the sports festival this year!" he chuckled a bit. Vlad went on to explain the general school rules and outlined the school year it seemed like it was going to be an interesting year. Sky especially was excited for the sports festival so that he could make his mom proud. He knew that she would be cheering for him if his father wasn't in Burkina Faso, he would probably do the same. If he did well, he would probably record it and send it to him and his younger brother. After Vlad finished his overview, it was time to introduce themselves. Of the 20 kids in his class he only knew a grand total of one person. One by one, they all got to introduce themselves. Sky managed to get through his introduction with only a few mistakes partially out of nervousness but mainly out of having to overcome the language barrier. Ariel was not much better, but she powered through her intro with minimal chatter from the class. It was obvious that she was embarrassed by her language skills. So much so that Sky chimed in.

"Come on guys, we're trying but it's hard for us" he looked at Ariel trying to reassure her "if you tried to do this speaking English, I'm sure you'd have a hard time..." he said before looking at Vlad and going silent. He didn't think that he was going to be winning new friends anytime soon with that little outburst. After everyone introduced themselves, they had a little break. Mainly so that they could get to know each other better. Though many of the locals mainly left the two international kids alone, there were some kids that decided to actually talk to them.

One girl came up to both of them all excited. She had long blue hair and bright eyes like diamonds that seemed to twinkle when she spoke "My name is Shinami Narikawa! I saw you during the entrance exam you were so cool!"

"Umm..thanks" Ariel was taken aback somewhat as Sky smiled he was one of the four lucky ones who were able to get in through recommendations. He got a chance to see the other people making their way through the exam as he went in for his interview. He didn't see anyone else that was with him that day. Until he felt eyes staring daggers at him. Another kid got up and sat on Sky's desk "I'm surprised you made it through the interview" he said in perfect English. The other kid got up into Sky's face, his golden eyes squinting angrily at him. His hands were pitch black, much darker than Sky's, in stark contrast to his otherwise pale complexion. "Why are you even here? don't they have hero schools in America or something"

"I'm from Japan too you know! only my dad is from Africa" Sky explained desperately.

"oi Sarashino, leave him alone." Another young man came up he stood tall and walked with such confidence. He pushed the hair out of his eyes and walked up to Sky and Ariel. The other boy left in a huff

"He's just upset that he wasn't chosen for the recommendations" The other boy held out his hand in a friendly way, "I'm Kenjirou Haishita. Nice to meet you," Sky shook his hand happy to make another new friend in this class. He talked to Kenjirou a bit more as Ariel had a rousing conversation with Shinami. Eventually it was time for class to start. They began with math. Ariel got up about to leave before Sky rushed over to her "the teacher comes to us" a few of the kids chuckled a little bit. The Australian girl headed back to her seat clearly flustered. Their other courses went by without much fervour. Naturally when it came English class, he and Ariel was far ahead of many of the other students. But the day went on. After they had eaten lunch, they were ready for a heroics class, the first one of the year. By this time, Sky had gotten to know a few more of his classmates thus, he was really interested in seeing what they could do.

They all got their hero costumes on for the first time. Sky had a hard time putting his new attire, but he liked the costume that he and his father came up with when he was still in Ghana. His costume had a good mix of enhancements and checks to the negative effects of his powers. A sturdy suit that with braces on his arms to help reinforce his arms due to the strong effect making windstorms has on them. His legs also had reinforcements to stop the shockwaves from travelling up his legs. He also had a visor to keep the wind out of his eyes when he activated his quirk. Keeping that the African style and flair was something that really wanted in his costume and he thought he looked good.

He and the other kids stepped out on the Training Ground Gamma. It was dark and dingy it looked like something out of a prison. Speaking of, when Ariel came out with her hero costume, Sky could hardly recognize her. She had a gas mask and looked like she was out of an action movie. Her costume was a dark green with a camo bodysuit covered in leaves and twigs, very stealth oriented.

"Whoa, Ariel? I hardly recognized you! Nice costume,"

"Your costume is pretty cool, Sky"

"Come on guys," Kenjiro said "We don't want to miss out they're picking teams already"

Sky and the others went running to where the rest of the students were. Vald was waiting for them at the training ground along with three students from class 3-A. Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugou and Tsuyu some of the best heroes at UA. Sky wondered where one of the other kids was Izuku Midoriya. Surely, he should be here with too he is one of the best hero to date. Vlad waited until everyone settled down after seeing the upperclassmen before explaining the rules of this drill. They would be split up into pairs, one pair would be the heroes, the other would be the villains. The objective is for the heroes to stop a bomb from going off that the villains will be protecting. All the hero team had to do is to touch the bomb and the drill would end. But they only had 10 minutes to recover the bomb. With the rules explained, the class picked teams from a hat. The first up, Sky was paired up with a kid named Hayato Ebizaki who had a barrier type quirk.

(Hayato Ebizaki: Quirk, Light Shield: He is able to create barriers out of the light around him the brighter it is the stronger his shields will be.)

It seemed like a pretty good match-up for someone with a more offensive oriented quirk. They were against two people that he hadn't really gotten to know much about. Tougi and Aguru. He didn't even really know their first names let alone their quirks. They were going to be playing the heroes in this drill so he and Hayato were tasked with securing the bomb from the other two.

The drill started, both heroes-in-training, began to charge up the building about halfway through the door, Hayato came up with a plan, if they could get close enough, Hayato would be able to create a barrier around the bomb and then Sky could push it out of a window without them getting too close to the "villains". However, this plan was promptly abandoned when Aguru came crashing through the wall.

(Kanga Aguru: Quirk Hop: Kanga has stong legs that allow him to hop and kick like a kangaroo)

Thinking on the fly, Hayato created a wall between himself and the other person. Sky came up the stairs to see this confrontation in the hallway of the building. Without hesitation, he wound up his fist and generated a forceful wind that pushed Aguru away far enough away that Hayato could make a barrier that was practically impenetrable. Or so he thought, Tougi jumped down from the second floor catching them off guard. (Masamune Tougi: Quirk: Sharpen: He is able to sharpen anything with a straight edge. The things he sharpens can be hard enough to cut glass) He threw three cards down at the barrier that Hayato had created shattering it like glass. Though it meant that he would have to deal in a two on one assault, Hayato motioned to Sky to go and obtain the bomb. Hayato created another barrier cube to protect himself from the assault of the other two which didn't last. Between the two students, they managed to break it with relative ease, but in the commotion Sky, using his wind powers, he launched himself like a bullet to the room with the bomb boosting himself with his earth powers to create a small ramp and his wind powers to shoot him straight through the other students. Using his earth powers, he secured it and himself in an earth shield protecting himself from harm. Simply touching the bomb ended the exercise, but Sky wanted to make sure that he was able to do it safely. With much relief he and his partner exited with the other two students. Exhausted, all the participants leaned on the buildings to keep themselves stable. Though it was short, it was a tough battle for all of them. However, it cemented why Sky was chosen as a recommendation student. Though his quirk was good, he knew how to use it effectively. This made the other kids more interested in the young hero.

Though he was quick to divert the praise to Hayato, he was the one who thought quickly and strategically and allowed him to get the upper hand, since he got the point, people lauded over him. Vlad gave them a debrief at the end of the exercise. With everyone present Hayato was given the MVP award, since he was able to think on his feet and lead his team to victory. Though most of the class protested, Sky was fine with that the three upperclassmen were quick to agree with Sky. He wasn't the hero of the day, Hayato Ebizaki sacrificed himself for the greater good without destroying himself and, as a result, deserved to be the MVP. Asui stated, "Both Ebizaki and Chinakazawa were excellent in their approach, Chinakazawa's quick thinking allowed them to score a victory against the other two"

"Anyways," Bellowed Vlad Sensei who seemed to appear out of nowhere

"it's time for the next group," bellowed Bakugo, "Ketusda, Bellows, Inari, Narikawa you're next"

Four girls stepped up to the building, Kayoko Inari and Shinami Narikawa were the villains and Yuzuki Ketsuda and Ariel were playing the heroes. Sky had seen Inari in action, since she was also a recommendation student, he knew that Ariel and Yuzuki would have a hard time with her if they weren't careful. (Kayoko Inari: Quirk AniForm: She is able to take the form of any animal that she has come into contact with so long as it is her size or smaller) Shinami would also be a problem her quirk, water body let her become water, so it might be hard for them to win. Still, Sky and the other kids watched with from the basement as the battle commenced.

Yuzuki Ketsuda, a cheerful, bubbly girl skipped into the building with a bright smile she sat in the middle of the floor and outside, from the window, Ariel began to breathe a gas into the building. He saw that Inari begin to sway starting to fall asleep. Ketsuda passed out almost immediately, to the surprise of everyone but amazingly, Inari, and a bunch of the lights and cameras began to shut off even the bomb with the timer on it shut off. (Yuzuki Ketsuda: Quirk: Shutdown: When she goes unconscious, she is able to release a pulse that shuts any object down permanently and renders living thigs dazed for up to 3 minutes) With almost everything out of commission, Ariel and Shinami were left to battle it out. As Ariel ran inside the building Shinami got the drop on her being able to fall from the upper floor to ambush her. Ariel had a hard time dealing with her before deciding to use a halogen gas to disassociate Shinami's so that she would get away and be able to win the exercise. As Shinami turned into water no doubt to make her pass out, Ariel used breathed out fluorine gas as she was being surrounded by the water. The water fell around her which allowed her to escape and touch the bomb ending the exercise. As soon as the mission ended Ariel released a gas to wake up Yuzuki and Inari. Shinami took a while to come to and recover and was promptly taken to recovery girl. (Ariel Bellows: Quirk Gas Chamber: Ariel has a chamber inside her lungs that allows her to breath different gasses made up of components that she has ingested i.e. she can turn her lunch into various gasses!)

The three girls joined the rest of the class to debrief their battle as well. "Well done" said Todoroki, "Good job to both teams however, Bellows, your move was a bit much don't you think?" She hid her face behind her hair and whispered "Yes I think so, but it was the best way to incapacitate her that I knew of. Next time I will think harder about what I use against my opponents,"

"I'm glad that you're are thinking like that! it is the first step to becoming a hero" said Asui.

"Next group" said Vlad Sensei

"Right, Yata, Nukimoto, Kidokoro, Gakubari you're next" said Bakugou as next group went.

Before long they were at the final group Kenjiro Haishita and Yasuoki Taida vs Akira Sarashino and Katsuno Doute. His first friend and his first enemy were against each other in the final battle of the day. Sky didn't know any of their quirks, so he was even more interested to find out what they could do. He watched with great excitement as his four classmates battled it out. Akira and Katsuno were victorious over the other two. Katsuno was able to use her animation quirk to have the bomb run and hide and Akira used his blackbody quirk to singe through Kenjirou's string traps. Even Yasuoki Taida, Kenjirou's partner, was easily despatched by Katusno and her hoard of "living" miniatures.

With the exercise over, the students of class 1-B walked back over to their classroom for their last period class getting their hero costumes off and putting on their uniforms again. Though there were some students who didn't make it to last period. Yasuoki and Shinami were among the handful of students that ended up with recovery girl in various states of injury. In the changing room, Sky and the other boys talked and commented on their quirks now that they got to see them in action. Kenjirou came up to Sky and put his hand on his shoulder.

"You were great out there!" he exclaimed, "I didn't think you'd be that fast"

"To be fair, Ebizaki-kun was the one who thought of the plan and sacrificed himself...I just know how to use my quirk well I guess…" Sky trailed off sheepishly.

"Oii Ebizaki han," bellowed a deep voice from the other side of the lockeroom,"Chinakazawa thinks you're hot stuff"

"Shut up Maurishi," laughed Hayato "it's not like you did any better during your attempt,"

They got dressed and went back to their class which went by without much hubbub. After classes ended Sky and the other kids decided to move on to the dorms and waited for the other kids that were with recovery girl to come back. Both the boys and girls stayed the common area talking about their first day. "Well being in class B isn't that bad everyone is pretty cool!" said Yuzuki

"Ya, I think this will be a good year," Said Kanga Aguru, one of Sky's opponents in the training exercise.

"It's going to be fun if I don't have to deal with those damn miniatures" declared Yasuoki entering the dorm

"Ah, you're alive" said Kenjirou jokingly

"No thanks to you,"

"Hey I tried! Blame Doute! I didn't know she had those evil puppets" Kenjirou laughed, waving his hands in the air that made it look like he was carrying off something. "It was still funny when they carried you away,"

"Well, you said that you could deal with Sarashino; how did that work out for you!" teased Yasuoki with a smirk on his face.

Kanjirou sunk in his chair a bit more as Yasuoki sat down on one of the chairs in the common area where Sky and the rest of the class was sitting.

"Hey Sky," said a sly looking boy with dark orange hair "I don't think I formally introduced myself, I'm Masamune Togi"

"Hey, it's nice to meet you. Our battle was really fun wasn't it?" Replied Sky, as he reclined in the chair a bit more.

"You and Ebizaki make a pretty good team"

"Thanks, our quirks worked surprisingly well together!" declared Hayato who appeared from the elevator and entered the common area.

The other students in the common room didn't seem to care but a few kids acknowledged him. While Sky was talking to some of the boys, Ariel sat some other students waiting for Shinami to get out of Recovery Girl's office. A student with big black wings, Akia Yata, and her friends Haruto Wanisawa and Nikou Himi. Ariel was still shaken up at what she had done.

"She'll understand, Ariel." Said Nikou gently and she smiled at her

"We are part of the hero course its par for the course" added Haruto "besides you only exhaled a little bit of fluorine into her it's not lethal just annoying" he said as he grinned revealing his crocodilian teeth

Akia shook her head solemnly. Her dim, ruby eyes looked kindly upon Ariel "Just explain it to her when she gets out and promise you won't deconstitute her again. You already feel guilty so she will know it's really true."

The three of them talked next to the door a little bit longer before it swung open revealing Shinami. She looked quite tired after having the fluorine filtered from her body. Ariel looked at her classmate quite sheepishly. Her eyes were still obviously full of shame at what she had done. Shinami stared back at her and smiled, "it's the hero course Ariel-chan, we're going to be up against all sorts of villains eventually." She said solemnly still somewhat bitter after the fight "it was a very interesting counter. I really thought I had you beat,"

"That's why I used it, I panicked!"

"I can't be surprised; your strategy was rather reckless" Nikou pointed out

"Honestly, Ketsuda was the one who suggested it. Her quirk knocks out everything within a 5m radius both electronics and people too just for not as long, I though I had only a few seconds at most." added Ariel, "I just helped it along with my sedative to keep Inari down"

Yuzuki nodded as she half smiled at the group as she met the outside of the dorm building. "It's pretty good, but I can only use it in certain situations and I need a bunch of support so that I can wake up or am protected from harm. I want to improve my quirk so that I'm less vunerable,"

Ariel and the others decided to get to know the other students that were still down in the common area. They all walked over to where Sky and the others were sitting, and they all talked a little bit longer before they decided to all go to bed. It had been a long day but a good first day. He didn't know what kind of hero he wanted to be still, but at the very least, he would have a pretty interesting journey with the kids of class 1-B.
