Kanata entered the Yuuwaku (temptation) flower and found himself in an endless room.
There were no walls, no flooring, no ceiling, just pink.
An endless sea of pink.
"Miyu!" He shouted as he picked up his pace walking through this endless sea of pink.
"Hikarigaoka! Miyu!" Kanata was getting increasingly worried about getting out in time, as there was no sight of Miyu nor Hikarigaoka.
Suddenly, the pink started to fade...
"Kanata!" Kanata heard Miyu's voice, before seeing her run towards him.
As he continued to look in the direction Miyu was coming from, the rest of the scene was set in place, replacing the pink backdrop.
"Kanata! You're here!" Miyu said, with her usual cheerful smile.
"Miyu, I found you!" Kanata said, while looking around, realising the scene was set in Saionji Temple.
They were standing outside Saionji Temple, at the open area where the top of the stairs was facing.
Is this Miyu's dream world? Kanata thought to himself, not noticing that he felt secretly happy that Miyu wanted to be at the temple.
"Kanata, let's go in!" Miyu chimed while beaming.
Kanata was getting a little bit impatient, there was no time to waste. They still had to get Hikarigaoka.
"Miyu, this isn't real. This is the dream world that you want to se..."
"Kanata!" Kanata's sentence was broke off by a voice calling his name from the house.
He turned and saw his mother standing there, waving at him.
"Kanata, don't talk to Miyu outside. We are all waiting for you to have dinner."
In awe, Kanata walked towards the house, with Miyu following closely behind.
When he reached the front door, he looked at his mother... Taking a close look at how she really looks like.
She looked just like her photo, but a little different at the same time.
Maybe it's due to age, Kanata thought, that's why she looks different.
"Tadaima!" Miyu shouted as she took off her shoes next to a stoned Kanata, interrupting his thoughts.
"Ta... daima..." Kanata mumbled along, as he proceeded to remove his shoes as well.
"Okaeri, Kanata, Miyu." Hitomi said, smiling at the two teenagers.
She had a very gentle voice, and a beautiful smile.
"It's time for dinner. Everyone's waiting." With that, she led the way.
"Kanata-san! Miyu-san!"
Just as Kanata turned into the room for dinner, he heard Wannya's voice before registering the sight before him.
On the dining table, there were some pumpkin dishes, dishes that brought back memories because his mom made them for him before.
Around the table sat his dad, the Kouzukis - Miki and Yuu, and Wannya, with an empty high chair next to him.
"Papa! Mama!" Ruu came flying towards Kanata from the direction of the high chair.
"Ruu-kun!" Miyu extended her arms as Ruu flied into her arms.
"Daa!" The happy baby chimed in response.
"Kanata, Hitomi made your favourite dishes today." Miki said from the other end of the table with a smile, as Hitomi walked to take a seat opposite her.
Miyu put Ruu in his high chair, and took the seat opposite Wannya, next to her parents.
They all turned to look at Kanata with a welcoming smile on their faces.
"Kanata, what are you waiting for?" Miyu asked with a soft laugh, gesturing him to take the seat next to her.
Miyu looks really happy to be here, Kanata thought, with her parents, Ruu and Wannya...
Although the thought of staying flashed in his mind, he quickly snapped out of it.
What am I thinking? I can't let Miyu stay here, no matter how happy she is, or else she will disappear when the flower withers.
Kanata hurried to Miyu's side, "Miyu, this isn't real. This is an illusion. We have to go."
"Kanata, stay here and we can all be together." Miyu said, turning her gaze from Kanata to the rest of the table.
Wannya spoke up, "Kanata-san, here we can all be together."
Everyone at the table nodded their head in unison.
"Miyu, listen carefully. Hikarigaoka is somewhere around here.
We have to find him and get out of here quickly, or else we may never be able to get out."
"Just forget about Nozumu-kun. It doesn't matter.
Who cares about the others?"
Miyu's response shocked Kanata.
Miyu would never say that. Miyu would never leave her friend in need behind.
With that thought, Kanata took a step back and re-evaluated the situation.
This isn't Miyu.
Another step back.
Kanata suddenly remembered that Miyu was wearing her school uniform when she was sucked into the Yuuwaku (temptation) flower.
However, this Miyu in front of him was in casual wear.
He would beat himself up internally for not realising this earlier, but there was no time.
He turned around and walked out.
That wasn't Miyu. I need to find Miyu.
"Miyu!" He shouted as he ran back into the endless sea of pink.
