A man sits in a tavern drinking he never really did this much before but the past years events have made a regular thing for him.
The Bartender sees that the glass is empty so walks over to him. "You need a refill on that" the bartender ask he was a giant man but owning a bar in this area you'd need to be this rundown town has been in trouble for awhile.
The man nods his head to signal that he wants another drink.
He grabs the glass and cleans it before passing it back refilled. He throws over a coin to him.
"You're clearly not from around not many people want to stay in these parts with what's been going"
He grabs he drinks and looks up at the bartender"Well why don't you tell what's been going on"
He grabs himself a drink aswell.
"There is a demon in these parts and not just any demon it lives at the top of the mountain come down the mountain and killing people dragging them up to the top. We don't find any of them alive a few mages have tried to take it down but nothing has stopped so now the people here just hope we aren't chosen."
He stands up from the chair and heads towards the door. "Where you going didn't you just hear what I said"
He doesn't even turn face the bartender " Yeah I did don't worry I'll take care of it"
He walks out of the bar and heads up towards the mountains. Demons have been appearing a lot lately maybe it has something to do with END or the destruction of Tartaros when Mard Geer was defeated, Zeref took the book of END and disappeared.
Master then disbanded the guild and now here we are no one knows why he did but maybe the battle with Tartaros was to much for the guild to handle and since then I've been on my own.
Lost in his own thought he almost doesn't notice the presence of the demon.
He rolls to the side and sees the demon sitting on a higher ledge.
The demon laughs licking her lips as while looking at me.
"Well looks like we have another mage here"the demon jumps to the ground in front of him. The demons stands up tall doesn't seem to hide her appearance by taking a human form.
"I'll ask you this once what do you know of the Demon known as END."
"Why would a mage like yourself be looking for a demon like END."
This is the first demon I have came across which even knows the name of it it so she must know something.
"Tell me what you know".
"This isn't how this is going to work you're going to die here and you won't know any of the information."
She flies forward trying to land a quick hit Gray jumps to the side puts his hands together.
Ice make Knuckles fists fly out the floor and hit the demon sending it across the mountain.
Ice make arrows before she get she chance to reacts she is hit again the demon jumps out the ways lands near me.
"Well looks like we have a strong mage here but not strong enough"
Something flashes in the corner of my eye I jump to side again before I can get out the way a web sticks me to the wall.
I freeze the web and break it and land on the floor.
Ice make Prison I trap the demon inside she doesn't stay inside of the ice prison for long break it down with one of her attacks.
"Now I know who you are you're the ice mage that hunts demons there a plenty of demons who want to kill you they say you go around the country hunting us down and you people say we are the monsters"
She jumps at me grabbing one of my hands stabs me in the hand before jumping away from me.
I go to take a step forward then drop to the ground in pain I grab my hand where she stabbed me to see it Turning purple my body is feeling heavy
She shoots a web towards me again and traps me to the wall.
"The poison I put inside should kill you with 30 minutes I wish I could make you suffer for what you have done to the other demons."
She isn't wrong since Fairy tail was disbanded I've been on the war path hunting down demons trying to avenger my fathers wish of taking down END we all lost something in that battle and now we are all walking a different path mine has lead me here.
The poison I going round my body my hands aren't abl to move I have to think quick before I am killed.
"I like to take my time when I kill first the poison will kill you then after I'll cut you're body up and eat you"
She grabs my face and scratches me across the face she is clearly enjoying this so this is what she must do to them all I try to will my body to move but I cant seem to get it to do anything.
"I think I'll keep you're head to show the other demons that this all powerful demon slayer has been killed"
My head is slowly going cloudy I don't know how long it will be before I lose consciousness.
I activate my devil slayer magic and focus my breathing is she had put the Poison in my blood I should be able to freeze it out the same way I cook my body temperature and let the devil slayer magic flow through my body.
I freeze the poison inside my body before I can make me fall unconscious now with my devil slayer magic activated I break out of the web and walk towards the demon.
"How are you even able to walk the Poison should have took effect on you by now"
I don't even say a word ice devil slayer arrow.
I fire it and drop the demon to her knees I use my devil slayer magic to trap the demon to the ground she jumps out the way firing poison stings at me I freeze them before they get close.
"I will not be killed by a human"
She keeps firing with everything she had trying to slowly my down I use my ice to create a platform and jump above her.
Ice devil zero sword I come out of the sky and cut the downs hand arm off she drops as
"My magic I made for killing demons like you I froze you poison inside of me and now it won't kill me, now what do you know about END?"
"I don't know anything about END but killing me will bring more trouble then you think"
Is this the demons way of begging for its life pathetic but I'm curious why.
"The six gates of hell have been opened our master must have heard what you are doing he will send the strongest demons he has to kill you"
"You're master is he END"
"No my master is The dark wizard Zeref and he won't be happy with this I can feel it the book has been opened and the six have been sent here for you you may have won this battle but the demons will prevail in the end.
I create a sword from ice and kill the demon by stabbing it through the heart.
So more demons are been released if I really want to find END I'll need to find Zeref.
I head back down the mountain but the poison has taken an effect on me it won't kill me but I need to sleep I push myself to least reach the bottom before I sit back sleep finally takes over.
My head hurts I open my eyes and find myself next to a fire I hear the sound of humming next to me I look over and see someone there face is covered but by the humming I'm guessing she is female.
I turn my body to sit up against the tree.
She must have heard the movement she stands up and walks over to me.
"Well I didn't expect to find you out here Gray"
That voice I recognise it that sweet voice almost like an angel I lift my head and I was right.
"I didn't expect to find you here either Mirajane"
"Well I was here on official council business then I happened to come across you at the foot of the mountain so I brought you here and took care of you" she just flashes that smile that she always does.
"How come you're working for the council?"
"We'll master disbanded the guild and the council was in ruins after the battle with Tartaros so with nothing else to do some of us now work with the council and the wizard saints are trying to rebuild it will take some time to fix."
So she has been pretty busy since the guild was left I haven't really had any contact with any of them so there is a lot that I will have missed I wonder where they all are Natsu , Lucy, Erza and Juvia wonder how much they have all changed.
She must have noticed that I wasn't saying back.
"So what happened to you Gray"
"I was fighting a demon and it's magic was poison it was like I was fighting a spider demon if it wasn't for my father's magic I would probably be dead"
She has this confused look on her face so I decide to show her I lift my arm up and my magic activates it covers the right side arm and part of my body in a demon scales.
She walks forward with this sad look on her face she puts her hand of the scales on my arm.
"A lot has happened to you Gray you can tell you have been through a lot since we last saw each other you want to talk about it"
The battle with Tartaros comes to my head my father dying in my arms all the death all because of the book of END it is like a curse to me.
"Not today Mira" she must have been able to tell by my face I didn't want to talk about it anymore.
"So who is at the council with you then"
"Well Lisanna came to join at the same time I have.
"Elfman has joined but is taking some time to train in the mountain's he still blames himself for the guild destruction.
Gajeel, Levy and Patherlily all work on the council and I know a few member has went to join different guilds." She says counting the members on her fingers trying to remember.
"What of Natsu" we suffered the most from the battle with Tartaros Natsu saw his father die and I had kill mine with my own hands i clinch my fist together i anger but call myself down I look back up a Mira and she hasn't noticed.
"No one has seen him or happy since you know it's the same with you Gray you both just gone after the battle do you plan on coming back"
Come back to what the guild is gone now Gramps disbanded after all this is over then maybe I can go back.
"I have something I need to take care of not like there is a guild to go back to now" I could really use a drink right about now not a lecture about what I'm doing.
"Open up Gray I can help you"I look up at her she has always been kind so I know she will want to help but can I really drag her into this,Maybe if I tell her part of it she can decide.
I explain to her everything that she needs to know I leave out parts about my father dying she doesn't need to know that yet.
"Sounds like you can use some help Gray what are friends for" she smiles before lying down next to fire.
"Are you sure Mira this could be dangerous and with these so called demons after me who knows what will happen"
"Gray we have came close to death more then enough times to know what the risk is and at least this way you'll have someone to watch you're back"
She rolls over and goes to sleep I smile to myself a little what did I really expect from her any member of fairy tail would have said yes to helping even if I said no.
I lie down look up at the sky before I drift of to sleep.
