Peter: "I... don't feel so good..."
Stark: "You're all right?"
Peter began to stumble, losing his footing, his face getting more and more nervous as he stumbled into the arms of his Mentor, Tony Stark, the invincible iron man.
Peter: "I don't... I don't know what's happening, I don't-"
Peter stumbles forward, about to fall, but luckily is caught by Tony. As Peter begins to cloth onto his mentor. Being truly afraid.
Peter: " I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go, Mr. Stark, please. Please, I don't wanna go. I don't wanna go..."
Peter fell on the ground, having Tony hold onto Peter for dear life.
Peter: "I'm... s-so sorry..."
Peter saw the horror in Tony's eyes, before closing them, and opening his eyes again, seeing... nothing.
Peter slowly opened his eyes. Immediately feeling the cool draft of the air slowly flow upon his face. His eyes slowly opened, to see... the dark night sky. He closed his eyes again, before quickly getting up, and struggling to breathe. The air struggled to enter his lungs, as he thrashed around on the floor, before, after a while... Slowly, and finally relaxing, his breathing slowly getting to a calm state. He was relaxed, or well, his breathing was. Relaxed. Reeelaxed.
Peter: "Mr... Mr. Stark? What happened... Ugh... my head..."
Peter tried to get up, before struggling to do so. His legs were out of the strength it usually had, but, after a while, he was able to stand up, and slowly began to climb a nearby tree, using it to stabilize himself. Before almost falling forward, and seeing the spider claws hold him up.
Peter: "Good to know I can stand... W-where... am I?"
Peter used the spider legs to move him forward, before looking up.
Peter: "Oh no. Oh no no no no... Mr. Stark? Mr. Stark!"
Peter tapped the side of his mask, before getting nothing more than pure static. Before he hung up. He took a breath, before panicking.
Peter: "A FRACTURE MOON? HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? You would need a large amount of kinetic force to actually even get a dent in the moon itself. But then the thing would also need to have a large amount of mass to support it. Kinetic energy and a large amount of mass would be needed to cause a dent in the moon! But could it also be magic? Actually, Magic is just a really advanced form of technology! Right? Oh god... Did we lose? I mean... I remember being on that planet, and... we lost...? Even turned to dust and... Now I'm here. Okay. Yeah, sure. Completely makes sense. Ha."
Peter stared at the fractured moon. Taking a good minute to look, and stared at it.
Peter: "Oh god. Where am I? Hello? Anyone?"
Peter was stable enough to actually walk on his legs. He was a little too unstable for web swinging, but he could last. He felt the cold air brush against his face.
Peter: "Cold. Very cold. Hey uh... Karen? Are you still there?"
Karen: "Hello Peter. How can I help you?"
Peter: "Can you activate the... heater? I know my other suit has one so, I thought this one would have one too."
Karen: "Well, it does have one. Activating Heater."
Peter: "Ah... that's nice. So, Karen do you... have any information on where we even are?"
Karen: "Not too sure I can get anything for you Peter. The only thing to accurately notice is that something is wrong with your walking. Did you hurt yourself?"
Peter: "No, but it feels like I just took a loooong nap. I'll get back up to shape in a bit... What about the moon? I think something really big struck it."
Karen: "The moon's fracturing could have been caused by... Unknown. Nothing that I know of could have caused catastrophic damage like that. A more pressing issue, do you have any local body of water?"
Peter: "Ah, why didn't I think of that. The moon affects the flow of water, so..."
Peter walked through the forest, before reaching a nearby Cliffside. He looked over the edge, and... saw the water. Move perfectly normal...
Peter: "Uh Karen. The water isn't moving as much as it would, given the fact that the moon is... broken, it should mess up how the water works but... it's completely... normal."
Karen: "Peter. I hate to tell you but..."
Peter: "I don't think I'm on earth anymore. I'm... anywhere but earth. I'm... far from home."
...
Karen: "Well, I think you should try finding some help. Wouldn't you agree?"
Peter: "Yeah. Got it. Let's see if I have enough strength to actually..."
Peter shot a web up, before pulling himself up, and over the rest of the trees, seeing how large the forest was.
Peter: " See anything?"
Karen: "Nothing so far. But, we do see what seems to be..."
Peter: "A town? Well, let's go."
Peter's suit assembled over his face, before web swinging off into what appeared to be a local town, before discovering in...
Spidey: "Uh oh..."
Spidey stared on from a distance, seeing that what he thought was a town, wasn't. Whatever the thought he could expect, he was dead wrong. The town was a full society, crawling with tons of people. But that wasn't what shocked Peter. What shocked him was...
Spidey: "Are... Are those..."
Karen: "The people of this society appeared to have... animalistic features."
Spidey: "You think they have cats?"
Karen: "..."
Spidey: "What? I like cats. anyways..."
Peter slowly came out of the forest, slowly walking into the city. Seemingly... not gaining any kind of attention to him.
Spidey: "Uh... hello? Can I get some help?"
Faunus: "Oh great, a costumed weirdo..."
Spidey: "Hey! You! Are there more than one costumed weirdo around?"
Faunus: "No."
Spidey: "Do... you not know who I am?"
Group of Faunus: "Should we?"
Spidey: "Oh come on. I'm an avenger man!"
Faunus: "A what?"
Spidey: "An avenger? I'm a member of the avengers!"
Faunus 2: "What... What's that?"
Spidey: "You... don't know the avengers? Come on! Iron Man, Hulk... Captain America even? Anybody? What about the battle of New York? Everyone's heard about that!"
Faunus 3: "No. What even is 'America?' Who's the captain of that? And... New York? The battle of New York? Is that some sort of inside joke...? I don't think I've ever heard of New York. Is that a new food or something...?"
Spidey, unintentionally slowly gained a bigger crowd, all of them beginning to overwhelm him with questions, before...
Spidey: "Does anyone have a map!"
?: "I do."
Peter turned around, saw the people surrounding him slowly parted through, slowly letting a woman arrive on the scene.
?: "Well hello there. I think I've introduced myself to you. You can call me... Sienna Khan. And you?"
Spidey: "Uh... Ahem! Just call me S-Spider-Man."
Sienna: "not even giving me your full name when I gave you mine? I think that's a bit rude."
Spidey: "Ah! No, that's not what I-"
Sienna: "I'm joking. You should've understood that. And for looking how you do... I don't think you're around here."
Spidey: "You can say that again... Where even... What is this place?"
Sienna: "This place is called Menagerie. It's an island reserved for the Faunus. For people like you and me."
Spidey: "I don't want to seem insensitive, but... What's a Faunus?"
Sienna: "I... okay. You surely don't seem to be from around here."
Spidey: "That's what I've been saying..."
Sienna: "Well, the Faunus are a group of people that have animalistic features. You see?"
Sienna pointed to what should've been obvious, the fluffy, tiger-like ears on the top of her head. Something Spidey noticed was the fact that she also had ears like he does... He decided not to point it out to her.
Spidey: "Have you guys always lived on this island?"
Sienna: "Not always."
Spidey: "I don't want to seem rude, but... could I get some sort of history lesson? I... just think it might be a good place to start."
Sienna: "Hmm... that depends. Are you a Faunus?"
Spidey: "Well... I can do this!"
Spidey jumped up, sticking to a nearby light pole, and hanging upside down from said light pole, using his signature web.
Spidey: "Does... this prove anything?"
Sienna: "A spider Faunus? Haven't seen one of those in a while. Well then, a library is that way, and to your left. It shouldn't be too far."
Spidey: "Gotcha, thank you!"
Spidey ran off, before using his webs to zip up, and web swing away.
Sienna: "Interesting... A spider Faunus. A powerful sub group of Faunus. Thought to have almost gone extinct. I'll let this play out. See if he's a friend, or foe."
Spidey opened the doors to the library before trying to find a book. One thing that he did notice, was that at least, the words are still spoken in English. He noticed that everyone spoke English. And, that was something he was thankful for. He grabbed what seemed to be a history book, and sat down in a nearby chair, before opening it, and beginning to read it. Although, something that caught him off was the name of the book.
Spidey: "The world of remnant... Remnant? Wait… could've sworn I saw that in a tv show or something… But, nonetheless, this book better have some answers."
And thus, Peter began to study. Reading, reading, and reading. He read for quite a while. He kept a few mental notes about the history of earth. Actually, scratch that. Not earth.
Spidey: "Okay. So, run me over what I've just read."
Karen: "We are anywhere but earth. We're in a world titled remnant."
Spidey: "Yeah... And history here is reaaaaally different. There's no avengers, no battle of New York, and..."
Karen: "No Mr. Stark."
Spidey: "Stark industries don't exist. I... I don't know what to do."
Karen: "Unfortunately, I agree."
Spidey: "I don't know anyone here, and I really doubt that anyone would even help me 'out of the kindness of their heart.' And... I... Have no one. I'm... alone."
Karen: "I'm still here."
Spidey: "For how long? I don't think there's any way to actually charge this suit."
Karen: "Didn't you read about-"
Spidey: "Oh my... Yes! I forgot! This world has... something called dust. I should try that out with all the webs I've got. What do you think?"
Karen: "It's a good idea Peter."
Spidey: "I'm... also a bit hungry."
...
Spidey: "What? I get hungry. Where's a map..."
Spidey stood up, before returning the book, and leaving the library.
As he walked out into the street, he saw that most, if not the entire street was empty. Pitch black as well.
Spidey: "Please tell me the suit has some sort of lighting feature."
Karen: "Well, the iron spider suit can allow you to have heightened senses, but there is a nice night vision feature."
Spidey: "Could you turn that on?"
Karen: "Certainly."
Spidey's spider lens shifts a bit, allowing him to see in the dark.
Spidey: "This would've been useful when I was fighting vulture but... It is what it is. Anyways... Whatever this place is... It seems like we have no one, and know, no one."
Sienna: "You always know me."
Spidey: "AH!"
Sienna: "Apologies for the scare. I just had to find you again. You shouldn't be out this late. That's when the Grimm came."
Spidey: "The... what? The grimm?"
Sienna: "Yes. But... I assume you have no knowledge of the Grimm, do you?"
Spidey: "No, not really..."
Sienna: "The grim are beings, well. No, they are more like monsters that hunt people, based on their emotions. They hunt and feed off negative emotions."
Spidey: "Wow. That's the uh... definition of hey, don't be sad or you'll kill us all!"
Sienna: "Well, that's an interesting way to put it. Now. Since you're not from here, do you have a place to stay for the night?"
Spidey: "No, not really."
Sienna: "Well, for safety reasons, I think it would be a good idea to come with me."
Spidey: "Uh... no thanks. Stranger danger?"
Sienna: "Please. To me, you're the stranger. I haven't even seen your face. I don't even know your name."
Spidey: "It's called a secret identity! You haven't given much thought, hey, I should trust this random lady."
Sienna: "I'm offering you a place to sleep."
Spidey: "Fair point. But... is there anything else I should know about you?"
Sienna: "I've given you my name. But... I'm the leader of an organization called The White Fang."
Spidey: "The white fang? Mind... reminding me what that is?"
Sienna: "We're a group that was created in the hopes of one day, Faunus, and humans can live peacefully, and equally. I believe one day the white fang can be a symbol for that."
Spidey: "Ah... so you're the good guys?"
Sienna: "Of course."
Spidey: "Well... if that's true... lead the way then."
Sienna: "Follow me."
Spidey and Sienna walked into the darkness of the night. Slowly walking to what could be guessed to be... Sienna's house. Which was pretty large, for its size. Especially knowing the history of movements on earth. The leaders were not usually this wealthy. Or maybe it works differently here? Wait, no. Of course it works differently here.
Sienna opened the doors, allowing Peter to follow behind her. The place was nice. Well kept. And much, much larger than the apartment Peter shared with Aunt May, back in queens. Actually, on the topic of Aunt May, Peter felt his heart sink. He was... no, he was much more than worried, he was scared. What happened to May? Is she all right, was she dusted too?
Karen: "Peter, your heart rate is increasingly fast. Most likely due to stress, or fear. But it would make sense that it is from fear. Are you afraid Peter? Is it this woman who's making you afraid?"
Spidey: "What? No! Of course not! I'm just worried about May."
Karen: "Your Aunt May. Do you miss her Peter?"
Spidey: "More than anything. But..."
Sienna: "Who are you talking to?"
Spidey: "ah! Forgot you were here... I'm just talking to a... voice inside my head."
Sienna: "Are you alright?"
Spidey: "Not really. I would tell you but apparently no one knows the avengers. So, that sucks."
Sienna: "Well, I may not know them, but I would be lying if I said I was anything but uninterested. So tell me, who are these... avengers?"
Spidey: "Basically... There used to be only 6 avengers, all united after the death of a man named Phil Coulson. Once they were united, they stopped a massive invasion of a bunch of aliens and a god. The avengers were 6 super powered people, tony stark, iron man, Steve rogers, captain America, black widow, Hawkeye, thor and hulk. They stopped a massive invasion. They were Earth's mightiest Heroes... Then, they separated. They had a civil war. And MR. Stark, Iron Man, recruited me to be on his team. I fought a guy with a robot arm. I actually caught his arm with ease. I'm pretty strong by the way. And... Mr. Stark took me under his wing. But I messed up. Big time. And... he took this suit away from me. Until I stopped a guy with big wings. Then... some more guys tried to invade New York. I saved a wizard. Mr. Stark made me an official avenger. And... we fought this guy Thanos. But... we lost. He held me in his arms, and... I died. And then I woke up here, in menagerie."
Sienna: "Well now... That's an interesting story."
Spidey: "Well, where I come from, it's real. Far too real."
Sienna: "So, where're you from, you're..."
Spidey: "An anomaly. Because I... I'm a Faunus!"
Sienna: "I see... well, wait here for a moment."
Sienna continued to walk off, before leaving Spidey alone.
Karen: "You know that was a lie, right? You were bit by a spider!"
Spidey: "Doesn't matter. I have to find a way to fit in here. So, if this works, it works. Besides, I think that sienna woman is nice!"
Karen: "She seems to be a grown woman. I think it would be a good idea to look around. She invited you here, so it would be nice to do some reconnaissance."
Spidey: "Good idea. Time to see what I can find out..."
Spidey stood up, before beginning to look around the place. She told him to stay here, but she really wasn't specific if he couldn't move around this area.
Spidey: "Just gotta look around. One, two, three...!"
Spidey stood up, before beginning his investigation. He noticed a ventilation duct near, and decided to open it, and enter. Unknown to him, Sienna was watching.
Sienna: "And thus, your trial begins."
She then picked up a nearby walkie talkie.
Sienna: "You know what to do. Engage... it. Make sure you try as hard as you can to subdue this... spider Faunus. Do not, under any circumstance, kill him. We need him. You understand how powerful they can be. Now go!"
Luckily, Spidey was in the vents, because... a large amount of... huntsmen broke down her door.
Huntsman: "Alright. Find the spider, and crush him!"
Spidey: "What the... guys with tech I've never seen before... Can you analyze their tech Karen?"
Karen: "Already doing so. But... their tech seems foreign. I can't get a proper read on them... But they seem incredibly high tech, while also being pretty simplistic. But their weapons seem to pack a punch. I would advise extreme caution against these men Peter."
Spidey: "Well... it's time to begin being sneaky. Just gotta know that these guys are dangerous. Showtime..."
Spidey took a deep breath, before slowly exhaling. His spider lenses opened, and closed, before...
Looking at his hands.
Spidey: "What web combo would be useful here... That's the thing..."
Spide3y tapped his chest, before realizing...
Spidey: "This suit doesn't have the drone... okay. How about..."
A ball shaped object came out from a vent.
Huntsman: "Grenade!"
Unfortunately, the huntsmen couldn't react in time, thus resulting in them getting covered in web.
Huntsman 2: "Oh god... what is this stuff?"
Spider-man then jumped out of the vent duct, before...
Spidey: "Rapid fire web!"
Spidey used his height in the air to get close enough to the ceiling to use the iron spider's arms to stick him up to ceiling, thankfully, he was quick enough to barrage the huntsmen, at them with web balls, at such a high velocity, at where he decided were weak points, stunning them long enough, to use his splitter web, to pull the 6 huntsmen all together, before, tying them all up, with a Taser web line, tasing all 6 of them, and taking them down. But, for safety measures... He punched all 6 of them, hard in the face, and... Noticed that some kind of light came off after they were punched, and knocked unconscious.
Spider: "Okay... There's most likely more where that came from... Karen, what do you suggest?"
Karen: "Analyzing... I'm not sure. You Taser web clearly wasn't as effective as it usually would be..."
Spidey: "Yeah, and they had some kind of force field I broke when they got knocked out. But..."
Karen: "Could it be a natural type of kinetic absorption mechanism?"
Spidey: "If it is... I think the people here need a lot more than a good punch to take them down... And I may be out of my league."
Karen: "Would you like for me to activate in-"
Spidey: "No! I don't kill, under no circumstances."
Karen: "So... What's the plan?"
Spidey: "No idea... But, I'm ready to protect this place. But..."
Spidey looked around the entire house, moving, pretty fast, and shooting a massive amount of webs on entry points, opened windows, doors leading outside, and any kind of entrance. Closing windows before webbing them up. Before looking at what could be seen as the only entrance.
Spidey: "Alright... come on..."
And... No one else came. Except... Sienna. Who purposefully made herself seem as she was battling damage.
Sienna: "Spider-Man!"
Spidey: "OH god, what's going on?"
Sienna: "An invasion, go, help as many people as you can!"
Spidey: "Are you going to be okay? You look bad."
Sienna: "I'll live, now go!"
Spidey: "On it!"
Spidey exited the building, before Sienna fixed her standing position, and grabbed a nearby napkin, cleaning the very, very light wound.
Sienna: "Adam, I think you know what to do."
Adam (?): "Test him in combat. But don't kill him. Something about spider Faunus's being incredibly strong, or something like that."
Sienna: "Good. Now, either way, test him. If he beats you, we can continue the initiation process. But, if he loses to you, even by a thread, he will be taken prisoner. We cannot allow people with his abilities to be let free."
Adam (?): "Understood."
Spidey continued his web swinging, before reaching where the chaos seemed to be coming from, before landing, and rolling on the ground before standing. He passed everyone else, before seeing a person come out of the fire. A man with a white mask, and what seemed to be a decently large sword, accompanied with what he assumed would be the sword's sheath.
Spidey: "Uh, hi? You're doing some bad stuff here man! C'mon, why don't you stop, and we can both get home safely! Well, you won't be. You'll go to jail. For sure."
Karen: "Peter, the material of this man's sword is unknown. I'm not too sure if the suit can take a hit from it."
Spidey: "So watch the sword, got it..."
Karen: "But the other thing is... the sheath. It seems larger than any normal sword sheath from earth."
Spidey: "Watch out for that too... gotcha... okay, sword guy! Can you at least tell me a name? I know this other sword guy, well, uh, not guy, more like a lady... she worked with Thor at one point!"
Adam: "Do you, ever, stop talking."
Spidey: "I usually don't... it's one of my main positives! Most of the time at least. Other times people like you... find it incredibly annoying. Which I assume you already are finding it annoying. I mean, alright, come on, stop this chaos, now!"
Adam: "You want me to stop, you'll have to do it by force. Do you think you can even do that? Or do you only know how to run, YOUR MOUTH!"
Spidey: "Uh, okay... he's mad... Sorry guy, but I've got to put you down!"
Spidey got into his fighting stance, before charging right at Adam, before narrowly dodging a sword slash by sliding under his sword. Before jumping right back up from behind him, before kicking him away. Before shooting a few of his webs, trying to strike Adam at least once. Seeing that he's able to be fast enough to narrowly avoid his webs.
Karen: "I think it would be a good idea to try mixing things up a bit."
Spidey: "Like?"
Karen: "Rapid fire, and ricochet web. One of the new abilities of the iron spider suit is the ability to mix and match your web combinations, allowing for massive boosts to your web power."
Spidey: "Oh! Well thank you mister stark! I'll take this upgrade with both hands! Let's try... rapid fire and ricochet webs!"
Spidey webs began firing faster, now, if any of his web shots missed, they would get another chance to strike Adam, and luckily, some were actually beginning to hit Adam in the back.
Adam: "Does your body make this stuff?"
Spidey: "Uh..."
Karen: "Play along Peter."
Spidey: "Well of course I do. The angrier I get the stickier I get!"
Adam charged at Spidey, almost catching Spidey off guard, before beginning a dance of dodges, and sword slashes, and worse yet, sword blocks. Spidey noticed one thing was for sure, and it was that after he struck Adam's sword, he noticed that he hit back a little bit harder each time. So, seeing that this wouldn't end well, it was about time Spidey had enough of dodging, and decided to finally go on the offense, the two now attempting to trade blows with each other, but...
Eventually Adam backed up, before holding and swinging his blade around and...
Karen: "Peter, watch out!"
Spidey: "Whatever he's doing, I can't let him finish it!"
Spidey looked, but was too late, before being slashed by Adam's sword, which sent him flying, and right into a nearby house. Unfortunately, he landed on a family's dinner.
Spidey: "Ugh... K-Karen? What kind of damage am I looking at here? How did he hit so hard..."?
Karen: "Damage to iron spider torso piece. It's not severe, thankfully. It can repair itself, but it needs a few seconds. The most probable cause of his massive attack power would be kinetic energy."
Spidey: "How? Does he store it up and then strike me... that's exactly how he does it, isn't it?"
Karen: "Seems so. But, like everything, he has a tell."
Spidey: "He does something before striking me?"
Karen: "Parts of his body begin to glow red."
Spidey: "Alright... So, avoid hitting his sword, and watch out for when he glows red. How possible is it that I could actually beat this guy?"
Karen: "He doesn't seem to be nearly as strong as you. At least, physically. The power he has, comes from kinetic energy, coming from his sword."
Spidey: "Alright, game plan... Plan A, rely on not hitting his sword, and take him out. Plan B would be to strike him in the half minute when he leaves himself open for a minute. And worse case... hope he can be overcharged..."
Spidey looked around at the family of Faunus, who were peacefully eating, at least, WERE peacefully eating, before being rudely interrupted by a flying spider-man.
Spidey: "Uh... good evening...? I'll just get out of your way. Sorry for messing up your food!"
Spidey quickly leapt out of the window, clearly hearing the loud sounds of swears and profanities being thrown his way.
Spidey: "Great start Spidey... great start..."
Karen: "I think you could take into consideration using the legs of the iron spider as well. It would be very good to take it into consideration."
Spidey: "Gotcha. Well."
Spidey shot a web up, before rolling on the ground.
Spidey: "Alright, come on! Round 2."
And thus the dance began again. But this time something was different. Spidey began fighting with more power, but with more technical skills. Now landing a few more strikes on Adam, and not his sword, juking out Adam, here and there, seeming as if he was going to strike the store, making Adam block, but seeing that Spidey didn't hit the sword, it made the block useless, and giving Spidey a great opportunity to uppercut Adam. And luckily, he was fast enough to do so. Before jumping upwards, and beginning to smack Adam around in the area. That was one thing Spidey had the upper hand in.
Adam couldn't move in the air as well as he could.
Before grabbing onto his body, and kicking him backwards, and allowing Spidey to sort of jump off his body, before shooting a web at his face and pulling him toward spider-man, and punching him hard in the face. Hard enough to at least crack his face mask. Before swiftly landing on the ground.
Spidey: "Ooooh! Damn! How'd ya like that? Now is that enough to stop you?"
...
Spidey: "Oh no... Karen, did I kill him?"
Karen: "He seems to be breathing."
Spidey: "Better be sure..."
Spidey slowly moved onward before quickly reaching for Adam's sword. Before... quickly snatching the sword. And holding it in his hand.
Spidey: "Can... you get any information off this sword?"
Karen: "I'm not too sure peter. I think it's a sword made out of some unknown material that we don't have any information on."
Spidey looked over Adam's body, before shooting a massive amount of webs at his body, surely encasing him in webs.
Spidey: "You're done. Okay? Okay."
Spidey slowly walked over, grabbing the sword's sheath, holding it in his hands for a moment, before holding the sword itself, and sheathing the sword, before throwing it on the ground. Before walking right back to Sienna's house.
As he entered Sienna's house, the unconscious body of the huntsmen seemed to now be gone. He sighed heavily, before seeing Sienna eating at the table.
Sienna: "Ah! You've returned! Did you..."
Spidey: "Stop the person that stopped the chaos? Yes. I also got his sword, but I threw it on the ground. I… kind of have this code where I never, under any circumstance, hold, or wield a weapon. Not my style. But, it did look really cool. If I still had it, I would've put it on my wall. Man, Ned you would totally freak out about it too."
Sienna: "Impressive... very impressive. Leave the sword at the door... Now come. Have dinner with me."
Thankfully the mask hid the fact that Spidey, Peter, was blushing under the mask.
Karen: "I think you should do so. You've been without food for a while now."
Spidey looked away, before whispering...
Spidey: "Can the mask move to only show my mouth or..."
Karen: "Certainly."
Then, like that, the mask moved upwards, now showing his face, or at least, his mouth. Peter sighed, happy to know that at the very least, he can breathe here. He held the sword, before slowly walking over, and taking the seat across from Sienna.
Sienna: "So. How was the battle?"
Spidey: "Is... It was hard, for sure. That guy could... hit hard. But... It's not the hardest thing that hit me. The hardest thing that hit me was this guy named Thanos. Anyways... what is this?"
Sienna: "The food? I hope you're not picky, but it's a type of spaghetti, with a few chunks of tomatoes, and a bit of basil. For texture, of course."
Spidey looked to his fight, seeing a fork before grabbing it, and slowly lowering the fork, and picking up a few bits of spaghetti along with it. Before opening his mouth, and slowly putting the fork inside his mouth, and... slowly chewing it. Before realizing how... good it tasted. Amazing even.
Spidey: "Mmm... This is good. For sure."
Sienna: "Glad to see you enjoy it... Now. I would like to offer you something. Join us."
Spidey: "Hmm?"
Sienna: "Join us. Join the white fang. We could use someone with your skills on our side. You trust me, right?"
Spidey: "Uh... Could I have some time to think over it or..."
Sienna: "Absolutely. Take your time. Or... you could ask whatever you want. And I cannot lie. At all."
Spidey: "Hmm... Well, who was that guy? Why was he fighting me?"
Sienna: "Simple. He works for the white fang. He was testing you. To see if you're strong enough to successfully defeat him in combat."
Spidey: "Wait, WHAT? WHY?"
Sienna: "TO test you."
Spidey: "I... no. No no no. That's a big breach of trust!"
Sienna: "You're overreacting."
Spidey: "Me? Of course, ugh... come on! You said I could trust you!"
Spidey slammed his hands on the table, cracking it.
Spidey: "And what? You lied?"
Sienna: "You can trust me. Just relax."
Spidey: "Relax? YOU'RE TELLING ME TO RELAX? DID YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST WENT THROUGH?"
Sienna: "No. I would advise you to not raise your voice at all me. In my house, and at my table. Now, sit down. I gave you a home, what else could you ask me?"
Spidey: "Well, something I could ask you is what the hell the white fang even STANDS FOR! What, does it stand for some kind of terrorist organization? Is that another thing you're lying to me about?"
Sienna: "Well, as I said. We do nothing more than fight for Faunus equality. Honestly."
Spidey: "Well... okay. Um..."
Spidey felt something wrong, his mind began feeling a bit weird. His spider sense activated, and deactivated.
Spidey: "Did you... p-put something in t-t-this..."
Spidey then felt his face go numb, before feeling more and more numb, before feeling his body go completely numb, and his eyes shut, before his face fell on the table. While his eyes were opened, even for a few seconds, he saw Sienna walk closer and closer to his body, and place a hand on his cheek.
Sienna: "Shh... don't fight it. I'm so sorry, but this is another test. But, I have faith you can succeed in this one. Now... I will meet you later. Do not hate me for this. I fought against this. But... you can't have a truly good idea without some violence, isn't... that... riiiiiiight?"
Spidey's vision got darker.
And darker.
And darker...
Peter was unconscious. He couldn't see anything, but due to his intense senses, he felt his body being moved. Roughly. Before feeling and smelling the coldness of the air, after an unknown amount of time, he felt his body being thrown, before falling against a hard surface. He stayed there for a bit, his body undisrupted from it's forced slumber. Slowly, he felt his strength come back to him, but before he could begin to open his eyes, he felt shaking. As if someone was shaking him.
?: "Hey!"
...
?: "HELLO?"
But, Spidey opened his eyes to see... A girl. With cat ears, and white hair?
Spidey: "Ugh... where... where am I..?"
?: "Welcome to a white fang camp. And you are?"
Spidey: "Peee... Spider-Man."
?: "Peeee spider-man? Great name. Looooove it."
Spidey: "I'm sorry, but you are? And could you... get off me?"
Wherever this person was, was sitting on Peter. And her face was a little but too close to his.
Spidey: "C... Could you get away from my face too?"
?: "Hmm, why? Am I..."
And she got even closer.
?: "Too close... spider? Or... did a cat bite your tongue?"
Spidey: "Hummina hummina hummina..."
?: "Oh come on Spider! You're making this so easy! Come on, get up. You weigh a ton."
Whoever this lady was, was playing with Peter. And as much as he hated her... actually, he didn't hate her. She just... plays with her. Like a cat with its prey.
Karen: "Peter, your heart rate is increasing, rapidly."
Spidey: "S-shush.
Karen: "And you're stuttering. You don't usually do so, unless you're...
Spidey: "I'm not crushing on her!"
Karen: "I never said you were."
Spidey: "Why would you make fun of my n-name. I don't even know yours!"
The girl in front of him laughed, before taking off the black make that seemingly resembled the eye lids Peter had, and showed the rest of her face. As she slowly got off, something Peter noticed was a bit... off. Her suit was more like a skin tight black suit, with a zipping in the middle of her chest, that could go all the way down to her... Yeah. The suit could really hug her curves. Not that he was paying attention only to her curves. Her white hair wasn't too well kept. It was messy, but had a touch of elegance to it. Her cat ears stuck out, more than anything. They twitched every so often. It was cute.
Felicia: "Felicia. Felicia hardy. Nice to meet your spider-man."
Felicia held her hand out, seemingly wanting spider-man to grab it.
Spidey: "Well, nice to meet you Felicia. Nice to meet you."
Felicia: "Stick with me, we'll get along juuuust fine."
Spidey: "Why do I feel like this isn't going to end well..."
Felicia: "SO come on! Take the mask off, pleeeease?"
Spidey: "I c-can't. Secret identity and stuff."
Felicia: "Oh come on, show me! I'll keep it a secret."
Spidey: "Well... Not yet. I don't have much reason to trust you. At least, not now."
Felicia: "Rude. Fine, Spider-man. Be like that. Now come with me."
Felicia began to walk off, with a little sway in her hips, with Spidey standing behind her for a bit.
Felicia: "Eyes up here spider."
Spidey: "Ah! Sorry about that. Wait, I wasn't staring!"
Felicia: "Suuuure you weren't. Now come on, I have a friend I would like you to meet."
Spidey followed Felicia, walking throughout the camp. While they were walking, Spidey noticed a few things. The white fang seemed to have masks, masks that resembled what Adam wore, but each seemed to be different. Almost as if they were hiding their faces, which is what he's doing as well. Well, it would explain why no one is asking about his mask. The white fang didn't seem to live in a higher standard of living, but they seemed to get by. Something Peter would understand. Living in a small apartment in Queens, he could understand how to live, and simply get by.
Felicia: "So, where are you from?"
Spidey: "I'm... I don't know. I'm not from around here, I guess?"
Felicia: "Really? I thought you were from atlas. With that shiny suit and everything."
Spidey: "I... I guess you could say that."
Felicia: "Well, it's nice to know someone's around from the magnificent 'floating city.'"
Floating city... that gives Peter flashbacks of the time Sokovia was sent into the air. Flying for a while, and falling all the way back down. And how S.H.I.E.L.D. came back to save the citizens of Sokovia. Great times...
Spidey: "Floating city... how long has that been up there?"
Felicia: "How should I know? I've only been alive for like, 16 years. It's been up there for as long as I can remember."
Spidey: "Ditto... Seeing as I've been alive for about 16 years; I can say the same."
Felicia: "Wait a minute, you're as old as me?"
Spidey: "Apparently..."
Felicia: "You got anything else to ask, or is that it?"
Spidey: "I... How big is the white fang? Is it a small group, or it is a large one?"
Felicia: "Depends. We have several different factions of the white fang. One for each kingdom of Remnant. Unfortunately, there are some groups of the white fang that don't agree with us, and have left."
Spidey: "Hmm..."
Felicia, finally stopped in front of a building. Spidey smelled the air, it had that odd warmth to it, like he was smelling the ocean. The last time Peter had ever been to the beach was with Uncle Ben, and Aunt May. He was younger. Much younger. They entered a building, and saw... a familiar person, who looked to be not that older than Felicia.
Felicia: "Heya Blake! you miss me?"
Blake: "Not in the slightest. But, it's nice to see you safe. Who's the... person behind you?"
Felicia: "No idea, but Sienna sent him over. Calls himself spider-man."
Spidey: "Just spider-man. No the."
Felicia: "Well, Mr. Spider-man here, is not that younger than me here."
Spidey: "I'm as old as you are!"
Blake: "So, why name yourself Spider-man? Why not spider-teen?"
Spidey: "Because. Spider-man makes me sound more like a man. And because it's to fake people out here and there. That's why. I mean, imagine being an adult, and getting your butt kicked by a 16-year-old kid?'
Adam: "Yeah. Iiiiimagine."
Spidey: "AH!"
Adam: "So, you're the spider Faunus Sienna tasked me with fighting..."
Adam stood over spider-man, as Peter saw. He felt like, compared to Adam, Peter was nothing. His shadow towered over Peter's body.
What could a Spider even do to defeat a wild Taurus? I mean, he won once. But… that couldn't agree he could win again. And if they even are on the same side, he wouldn't have to worry about fighting Adam again.
He hopes, unknown to anyone, the slash along his chest would be deep. The suit could hide it, and his healing sped up the process, but… he was lucky it was just his chest.
Adam: "No hard feelings. Right?'
Spidey: "..."
Felicia: "Hellooo? Anybody in there? Eh, give him a minute."
Adam: "Guess I do make a killer first impression."
Blake: "Ouch. Now come on! We have some things to do today Adam."
Adam: "I'm coming; I'm coming..."
Felicia: "What a pair, huh?"
Spidey: "What a pair."
Spidey held his fist clenched, having half a mind to knock Adam's lights out, here and there, but he was distracted when Felicia led him out of the building. But… Something about that Blake girl was.. Ticking him off. And not in a right way. She clearly looked uncomfortable around Adam. It… was as if she tried to force a smile upon her face. A fake smile. It was clear she wasn't happy, but-
Felicia: "Well, that was fun. Now, where to spider?"
Spidey's focus was taken away from Blake, before returning to felicia, who was tugging on his arm like a little child. The height difference between the two wasn't large. He was about 5'8, and she was about 5'6.
Spidey: "I... have no idea. Where's the nearest bed? I'm... exhausted."
Felicia: "Oh yeah. Heard you had the task of beating Adam. But you won!"
Spidey: "Barely. But still nice to know."
Felicia: "C'mon. Sienna said you're going to be my partner, so unless you want to sleep on the streets, your best chance of living is with me."
Spidey: "Lead the way."
And like that, the black cat led the spider-man.
Felicia's living quarters weren't that large. Especially seeing that now two people were going to live here. Spidey raised his mask up, at least, enough for his mouth to show.
Felicia: "Wow, glad to see you are, at least, a person. I was beginning to think you were a robot."
Spidey: "As you can see, I'm not. Fleshy human, under this suit."
Felicia: "So now that it's just the both of us... why don't you take off the mask?"
Spidey: "Take off my mask? I still..."
Felicia: "Don't have reason to trust me? What else could I tell you?"
Spidey: "Why... Did you join the white fang? I mean, I heard from Sienna that we're the good guys. So... why did you join?"
Felicia: "If I tell you. You. Reveal. your. Face."
Spidey: "Okay! I promise."
Felicia: "I... joined the white fang to feel powerful. Because... Things happened to me. Horrible, horrible things happened to me, things that I would like to not talk about by the way..."
Felicia took off the little black mask on her face, revealing the rest of her... pretty face.
Felicia: "But, things that I believe, I can make sure never happen to anyone else, ever again. Could you relate to that? To have your... innocence robbed because of who you were?"
Felicia remembered a time where, not too long ago, she was walking through a city, and was slowly backed into a dark corner, in the darkness of night. Being backed up, more, and more, by tall menacing men. Before...
Felicia: "What gives anyone the right to do things to me because I'm a Faunus? That's why I joined."
Felicia sat on her bed, before covering her face with her gloved up hands, before rubbing them a bit. Spidey just... sat there. Completely silent. He... had no idea of what to say. He was truly speechless.
Spider-Man: "Oh god, I'm so sorry, I never knew."
Felicia: "I... don't need your sympathy Spider."
Spider-man: "Peter."
Felicia: "What?"
Spider-man: "Peter. That's my name. But..."
Peter took off his mask, revealing the rest of his exhausted face.
Peter: "You can just... call me Pete."
Felicia: "Well... Pete. Nice to meet you."
Felicia rubs her teared up eyes for a minute, before looking at Peter's face.
Felicia: "Happy to see there's a face under the mask."
Peter ruffled his hair, before slowly walking towards Felicia, and... doing what he thinks would be the best thing to do. And hugged her.
Peter: "I'm so sorry for you."
Felicia: "I'm... sorry for me too. Y'know..."
The cracked moon shined through the rooftop window, shining on the duo. Peter thought to himself for a while, that... maybe he was sent here for a reason. Heroes didn't exist here. And he was technically the first. So... maybe he... had to be here. Needed to be here. Just maybe.
Just maybe.
