Howdy folks. Looks like we're finally getting some sense of normalcy back in the world. Vaccines are rolling out and the shops have opened theirs doors again. Hopefully we'll all soon get our lives back on track.
I had so much fun doing the Meetings for my friend Monokub's story Cat-Ra (Great story check it out) I've decided to do Pitch Meetings about other things. So sit back and enjoy.
Disclaimer: I do not own Injustice, DC or Pitch Meetings which are made by Ryan George on his you tube channel Screen Rant.
Injustice Pitch Meeting
Producer Guy "So you have a video game for me?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yes sir I do. But don't you normally make movies?"
Producer Guy "I do. But I realised that video games can make millions of dollars so I figured, lets do that."
Screenwriter Guy "Okay, so the games called Injustice: Gods Among Us."
Producer Guy "Its not religious is it?"
Screenwriter Guy "Oh absolutely not. Its about superheroes from DC Comics."
Producer Guy "Oh thank god. So whats it about?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well you know how some people ask what would happen if Superman ever turned evil?"
Producer Guy "Yeah those people are morons. Superman is the greatest force for good in the universe and would never go bad."
Screenwriter Guy "In this game he does."
Producer Guy "Oh…. So whose in this thing?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well playable characters include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, Raven, Nightwing, Shazam, Hawkgirl and Green Arrow. Then on the villains side we have the Joker, Lex Luthor, Ares, Harley Quinn, Bane, Catwoman, Deathstroke, Killer Frost, Sinestro, Solomon Grundy, Black Adam and Doomsday."
Producer Guy "Holy extensive character roster Screenwriter Guy."
Screenwriter Guy "So the Justice League stop an attack by super villains lead by Lex Luthor. Batman defeats Deathstroke, Bane and Lex, but turns out it was all a distraction so the Joker to set off a nuke in Metropolis."
Producer Guy "Oh that sounds bad."
Screenwriter Guy "It is. But before the bomb goes off, Batman, Joker, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Green Arrow are teleported to another Earth which luckily stops the nuke from going off."
Producer Guy "Oh very convenient."
Screenwriter Guy "So Batman beats up the Joker but then has to escape soldiers. Then Green Lantern goes to charge his ring and ends up saving Deathstroke who was being tortured by Raven and Cyborg. So he beats them up and Deathstroke escapes."
Producer Guy "That was weird."
Screenwriter Guy "It gets weirder. Cause then Hal saves the others from Sinestro and Yellow Lantern, whose Hal Jordan but hes in the Sinestro Core."
Producer Guy "But they're the bad guys."
Screenwriter Guy "They sure are. Then they meet that Earths Batman who explains that five years ago the Joker drugged Superman, tricking him into killing Lois Lane and their unborn child while also nuking Metropolis."
Producer Guy "Oh my god. That's a tragic back story times ten."
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Superman kills Joker by driving his hand through his chest."
Producer Guys voice became deep. "Fatality!" He coughs and clears his throat. "Go on."
Screenwriter Guy "After that killed a whole bunch more villains, took over the Earth forming this One Earth Regime leading it as the High Councilor. The other heroes follow him cause they think hes right also they die if they don't."
Producer Guy "Not wanting to die is great motivation.
Screenwriter Guy "Meanwhile Aquaman goes to Atlantis where he beats up Flash, Shazam, this Earths Aquaman and Ares the god of war."
Producer Guy "Very cool. Which reminds me what kind of game is this, RPG?"
Screenwriter Guy "Better it's a fighting game."
Producer Guy "What?"
Screenwriter Guy "You know like Mortal Kombat. You play as one character for a chapter where you fight about four opponents while enjoying the story cutscenes."
Producer Guy "But how can someone like Harley Quinn beat a heavy hitter like Black Adam?"
Screen Writer Guy "Oh I've actually got a reason for that. See the Insurgency has these special pills that increase muscle strength and makes their bones harder."
Producer Guy "Oh taking a pill to makes things harder is tight!"
Screenwriter Guy "Uh…."
Producer Guy "Oh man that did not come out right."
Screenwriter Guy "It really didn't. So once they'll all at the Insurgency's hideout where they meet Lex Luthor."
Producer Guy "Luthors still alive?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah, yeah yeah. See this version of Lex was never evil. Infact he and Superman are long time friends."
Producer Guy "Whoa… twilight zone."
Screenwriter Guy "So Batman has a weapon what can defeat Superman, but its locked up and he needs the DNA of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow to unlock it. Since his Green Arrow is dead and the others are with Superman, Batman teleported them to his Earth."
Producer Guy "Then why were Batman and Joker teleported over two?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well as they were rushing to stop the bomb, Batman and Joker were between so they got up in the teleport."
Producer Guy "How does that work?"
Screenwriter Guy "Science."
Producer Guy "Were there any other heroes with them when it happened?"
Screenwriter Guy "Oh yeah, Shazam, Hawkgirl and the Flash."
Producer Guy "Shouldn't they have been teleported over two?"
Screenwriter Guy "No and I can explain why." He searches through his notes. "Comic book science."
Producer Guy "Can't argue with that logic."
Screenwriter Guy "Meanwhile Batman finds the Joker, but due to a noisy train, Batmans defeated and captured by the Regime. Hes taken to Superman who uses his super vision and can tell hes not the Batman of this Earth cause his vitals are all wrong."
Producer Guy "Vitals are all wrong, what does that mean?"
Screenwriter Guy "Unclear."
Producer Guy "Well okay then."
Screenwriter Guy "So Then Joker meets Harley Quinn who takes him to her Joker Clan who help the Insurgency, but its attacked by Regime soldiers, Hawkgirl and Nightwing, but Joker fights them off. That's when the others show up the Regime retreats."
Producer Guy "If the Regime has all the villains and former heroes why did they only send two?"
Screenwriter Guy "I don't know."
Producer Guy "Fair enough."
Screenwriter Guy "So they sneak into Wayne Manor which Killer Frost and Solomon Grundy. Hal gets knocked out and Diana gets frozen in ice."
Producer Guy "Shouldn't Wonder Woman be strong enough to break free from ice?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yes, but not this time. So Green Arrow defeats Killer Frost and Grundy, then the others arrives so Bruce brings them to the Batcave where they unlock a kryptonite laser."
Producer Guy "That's Supermans weakness."
Screenwriter Guy "It sure is. But then evil Wonder Woman and Black Adam show up."
Producer Guy "Oh man. Its gonna be pretty hard to fight off opponents as powerful as them huh?"
Screenwriter Guy "Actually super easy, barely an inconvenience."
Producer Guy "Oh really?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah thanks to the pill he took, Green Arrow is able to beat both of them."
Producer Guy "Wow that's one heck of a pill."
Screenwriter Guy "It sure is but the laser is damaged and they need to fix it."
Producer Guy "So tell me something that makes this game stand out from others?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well this game has these Clashes, where two characters say a line then charge at each other, theres a big flash of light and one or both of them are blown back. Its really cool."
Producer Guy "It does sound cool. What kind of lines are there?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well some are funny like Catwoman vs. Nightwing: "Still living in Batmans Shadow? Still using a litter box?" Or Superman vs. Batman: "Quite a mismatch. I'll go easy on you." Or Black Adam vs. Shazam: "You are a child. Still kick your butt." Then there are more serious ones like Doomsday vs. Superman: "I live to kill you. Then you'll live disappointed." Or Deathstroke vs. Cyborg: "You're only half and man. And your pure scum."
Producer Guy "Those are some good lines. So whats been going on back on the first Earth?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well Superman, Flash and Cyborg have been trying to find the others. They figured out they're on an alternate Earth and build a device to bring them home. But it ends up sending Cyborg to the other Earth."
Producer Guy "That's exact opposite of what it was supposed to do."
Screenwriter Guy "Whoops."
Producer Guy "Whoopsie."
Screenwriter Guy "So he ends up in the Insurgency's base and overhears Lex and Deathstroke talking about taking down Superman. He doesn't realise Superman is evil and they're actually the good guys in this fight and attacks them."
Producer Guy "Classic misunderstanding."
Screenwriter Guy "After everythings explained, they're going to go back to the first Earth, fix the laser and bring back other heroes to help."
Producer Guy "Why didn't he do that already? Was the machine broken?"
Screenwriter Guy "No he just needed those four specific heroes."
Producer Guy "But Batmans literally up against an army and a whole bunch of villains and his former friends and allies, wouldn't a master tactician like Batman see the benefit of bringing in more heroes?"
Screenwriter Guy "Look sir I'm gonna need you to get all the way off my back about why Batman doesn't just bring help when its both really easy and smart thing to do."
Producer Guy "Ok let me get offa that thing."
Screenwriter Guy "Then Superman announces that Batman is gonna be executed for leading the Insurgency to lure the heroes out. So they come up with a plan to sneak into Riker Island, then use the Watchtowers teleporter to get Batman out."
Producer Guy "Do they send someone back to the Prime Earth to get the laser fixed and bring back other heroes?"
Screenwriter Guy "No theres no time."
Producer Guy "But doesn't it like a few seconds to teleport over? Plus the flash could do all the work in a few seconds."
Screenwriter Guy "My back sir, please get off of it."
Producer Guy "Will do. So whats the plan?"
Screenwriter Guy "Cyborg disguises himself as his alternate self to infiltrate the Watchtower."
Producer Guy "Oh that's smart."
Screenwriter Guy "But Catwoman sees through it right away and then he defeats her. Then the evil Cyborg shows up and they try to hack each others neural network. Which is gonna look way cooler than it sounds."
Producer Guy "Oh intense hacking is tight!"
Screenwriter Guy "So good Cyborg wins, so he and Slade teleport up to the Watchtower. While Cyborg works, Slade beats up Flash and Shazam who where aboard. Then he rigs the Watchtowers reactor to explode."
Producer Guy "Uh oh."
Screenwriter Guy "Its okay, he set it to go off in 90 minutes."
Producer Guy "Well that was nice of him."
Screenwriter Guy "Then Lex sends him to get parts to fix the laser. He also beats up Killer Frost and evil Wonder Woman who he calls Supermans rebound girl."
Producer Guy "Oh burn."
Screenwriter Guy "So then the good Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman attack Rikers Island, with Aquaman leading an army of giant sea creatures."
Producer Guy "Oh like giant squids?"
Screenwriter Guy "Crustaceans actually. But its all the diversion to keep Superman and the regime busy while Batman and Green Arrow sneak into the prison. But they get attacked by Catwoman and Nightwing. Batman beats Catwoman then its revealed Nightwing isn't Dick Grayson, but Damian Wayne, Bruce's son."
Producer Guy "Wait what?"
Screenwriter Guy "And he killed this worlds Dick Grayson."
Producer Guy "Oh my God. That is a shocking twist. I gotta hear how and why that happened. Please tell me right now."
Screenwriter Guy "No."
Producer Guy "What?"
Screenwriter Guy "So they find Earth Prime Batman but then Raven takes control of Green Arrow and Batman has to fight him."
Producer Guy "Wait which Batman does the fighting?"
Screenwriter Guy "This Earths Batman."
Producer Guy "By the way how do we tell the good guys from their evil counterparts?"
Screenwriter Guy "Oh all the characters on the different Earths have different looks. Shazam's costume has black parts instead of white. Raven has red skin. Wonder Woman is wearing armor. Green Lantern is green while Yellow Lantern is, you know yellow. Aquaman has a beard."
Producer Guy "Because beards are evil right?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well not everybody with a beard is evil. I mean we both have beards and neither of us are evil."
Producer Guy "Of course not. Hail Satan."
Screenwriter Guy "What?"
Producer Guy "What about Superman?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well the evil one has slicked back hair and a wrinkly forehead."
Producer Guy "How wrinkly?"
Screenwriter Guy "Like the chin of Thanos from Marvel was surgically attached to his forehead."
Producer Guy "Oh very wrinkly."
Screenwriter Guy "So earth Prime Bruce knocks Raven out but then Yellow Lantern falls in through the ceiling."
Producer Guy "Oh no."
Screenwriter Guy "But Batman beats him."
Producer Guy "Oh never mind."
Screenwriter Guy "Back outside The others aren't doing so well against Superman, infact he nearly kills all three of them."
Producer Guy "Why didn't he?"
Screenwriter Guy "So the game can keep going."
Producer Guy "Of course."
Screenwriter Guy "He almost catches Green Arrow and the two Batmen, but they're teleported away. Superman flies up the Watchtower but it explodes in his face. At the same time Lex puts on warsuit with the kryptonite laser attached and flies off to stop Superman."
Producer Guy "A genius mind like his must have an incredible plan to pull this off."
Screenwriter Guy "And is immediately shot out of the sky by Joker with a bazooka."
Producer Guy "Oh."
Screenwriter Guy "Then Joker tells Harley to take Lex suit but Lex defeats her, then saves her from Joker by beating him up. Then saves stops her from killing Joker."
Producer Guy "Why?"
Screenwriter Guy "Because hes a good guy. That's what good guys do."
Producer Guy "I guess."
Screenwriter Guy "Then he defeats Hawkgirl and Shazam. Lex is just about to fire the kryptonite laser at Superman but Shazam zaps him in the back."
Producer Guy "Wasn't Lex the one who betrayed the Regime? Meaning he stabbed them in the back?"
Screenwriter Guy "Not stabbed sir, zapped. Shazam literally zapped Luthor with lightning."
Producer Guy "Oh that makes more sense. Continue."
Screenwriter Guy "Superman kills Lex for betraying him. But then his super hearing picks up everyone calling him a murderer and he snaps."
Producer Guy "Didn't he already snap when he started killing people and took over the Earth?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah but now its worse. Now hes gonna attack Metropolis and Gotham to make an example of them and attack Earth Prime."
Producer Guy "Oh that is worse."
Screenwriter Guy "But then Shazam stands up to him and tells him that this isn't right."
Producer Guy "The pure heart of Billy Batson combined with the Wisdom of Solomon. That'll get through to even the darkest-"
Screenwriter Guy "So Superman uses his heat vision to burn his eyes out of his skull and kill him."
Producer Guy "Oh my god."
Screenwriter Guy "This is when Flash realises that they're in the wrong."
Producer Guy "It took seeing their leader murder a kid to realise they were the bad guys?"
Screenwriter Guy "Looks that way."
Producer Guy "Oh man I now I feel sad."
Screenwriter Guy "This might help, each character has a super move."
Producer Guy "A supper move?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah it's a special move that does a lot of damage to their opponent. Cyborg puts his arms together and forms a giant laser cannon. Aquaman hits em with a title wave, stabs them with his trident then has a shark attack them. Doomsday punches them into the ground non-stop till they literally pass through the core of the planet and then back again."
Producer Guy "Those do sound awesome. Almost makes me forget about the horrible event that just took place."
Screenwriter Guy "Great. So then Flash beats up Yellow Lantern and Solomon Grundy, then runs off to join the Insurgency. Along the way he saves some rebels from Sinestro and beats him up, then puts together a house sized pyramid of bricks around him."
Producer Guy "Neat. I assume he also takes his ring?"
Screenwriter Guy "No just builds the pyramid around him."
Producer Guy "But he'll easily break out. Plus talking the ring would leave him powerless and one less big threat for the Insurgency to deal with."
Screenwriter Guy "Oh yeah that would have bin a good idea. But I already wrote it so."
Producer Guy "What happens next?"
Screenwriter Guy "Flash gets to the base and after fighting Green Arrow he tells them about Supermans plan. That earths Batman wants to send them home but Earth Prime Batman thinks they should bring over the good Superman to stop the High Councilor."
Producer Guy "Very cool, but something they clearly should have done earlier."
Screenwriter Guy "But then the Regime attacks the base. Wonder Woman defeats Bane but is then teleported to Themyscira by Ares."
Producer Guy "Good thing hes on their side."
Screenwriter Guy "yeah but she fights him anyway."
Producer Guy "Why?"
Screenwriter Guy "Because."
Producer Guy "That works."
Screenwriter Guy "Ares tells her that the evil Wonder Woman is mobilizing the Amazon army to attack Metropolis. So after a quick fight with Raven, Wonder Woman defeats her evil counterpart and gives a speech that convinces the Amazons to help stop Superman."
Producer Guy "And no one questioned why there was a duplicate of their leader?"
Screenwriter Guy "It was a really good speech sir."
Producer Guy "Okay then."
Screenwriter Guy "So the Regime starts attacking Metropolis and Superman unleashes Doomsday whose under his control."
Producer Guy "That's not good."
Screenwriter Guy "So that Earths Batman is like "This is my world, my fight." And Earth Prime Batman is like "You made it ours when you brought us here." And then the two of them fight."
Producer Guy "But wasn't the first Batman is bad shape after being held prisoner by the Regime?"
Screenwriter Guy "He was but hes all better now."
Producer Guy "Also doesn't this contradict the whole one character fights for a chapter?"
Screenwriter Guy "True but the thing is, Its Batman vs Batman and its gonna be awesome."
Producer Guy "It does sound awesome."
Screenwriter Guy "So they bring Superman over and he fights Black Adam. Oh right I forgot to tell you about the mini games."
Producer Guy "Mini games?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah there fun little games before a few fights. Batman throwing batarangs and Luthor, Hal and Sinestro fighting with constructs, Joker throwing cards at Nightwing, Green Arrow shooting arrows at Grundy, Batman blocking Green Arrows arrows, Wonder Woman blocking Banes bullets with her bracelets."
Producer Guy moves his arms. "Oh yeah that's like her thing."
Screenwriter Guy "It is, and finally Superman destroying cars Black Adam throws at him that were driving by."
Producer Guy "Did you say driving by?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah he was in the middle of the road and just grabbed them as they pasted."
Producer Guy "Your telling me this fun mini game is blowing up cars that clearly have people inside them?"
Screenwriter Guy "Best not to think about it sir. So Superman defeats Black Adam and freezes him with his ice breath."
Producer Guy "Why are such strong characters being stopped by ice?"
Screenwriter Guy "Because."
Producer Guy "Fair enough."
Screenwriter Guy "Sinestro sneak attacks but Superman overpowers him and takes his ring."
Producer Guy "See Superman knew to take his ring."
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah but he wouldn't have been able to do that if Flash had taken it earlier now would he?"
Producer Guy "Very questionable logic."
Screenwriter Guy "Then knowing he cant beat Superman, Yellow Lantern gives up his ring."
Producer Guy "Guess he was feeling yellow. You know… cause of all the yellow and being powered by fear?"
Screenwriter Guy "Sure. Then Superman freezes a title wave and defeats Aquaman while the Amazons help fight the Atlantian army. But then Doomsday shows up and attacks Superman."
Producer Guy "Oh mans its gonna be impossible to fight Doomsday without destroying the whole city."
Screenwriter Guy "Actually super easy, barely an inconvenience."
Producer Guy "Oh really?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah he tackles Doomsday and flies him to the fortress of Solitude."
Producer Guy "Very cool."
Screenwriter Guy "The Fortress is just one of the many iconic arenas to fight in. The Batcave, Arkham Asylum, Atlantis, The Watchtower. Which leads to a special feature of the game, stage transitions."
Producer Guy "What are those?"
Screenwriter Guy "If you get an opponent to the end of the stage and perform a strong hit, they'll be knocked into another part via and entertaining cutscene."
Producer Guy "Like what?"
Screenwriter Guy "In the fortress you can know opponents through the Phantom Zone. Arkham Asylum you can knock them into Scarecrows room where he injects them with fear toxin and they the hallucinate a giant Scarecrow attacks them."
Producer Guy "Hey that's reference to Batman Arkham Asylum."
Screenwriter Guy "Maybe."
Producer Guy "Very cool. So they all have cool transitions like that?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah… except for Atlantis and Ferris Aircraft."
Producer Guy "Why don't they have them two."
Screenwriter Guy "I'm gonna be honest with you sir, I just ran out of ideas."
Producer Guy "I mean we haven't started making the game yet. We could try to come up with some ideas."
Screenwriter Guy "No thanks. So Superman defeats Doomsday and traps him in the Phantom Zone. Then he meets the evil Superman, who knew the Insurgency would bring him over eventually."
Producer Guy "If he knew then why didn't he put measures in place that would have the fortress attack the good Superman if he entered?"
Screenwriter Guy "Oh whoops."
Producer Guy "Whoopsie."
Screenwriter Guy "So they fight and Superman overpowers the High Councilor and defeats him. The others show up and he says they'll have to kill him. But Batman won't cause they're the good guys."
Producer Guy "Still questionable logic."
Screenwriter Guy "So the regime members are arrested. Joker is sent back to Prime Earth to be locked up. Lex gets a heroes burial and evil Superman is locked up in a cell with red sun lamps that make him powerless."
Producer Guy "Smart."
Screenwriter Guy "But at the last seconds his eyes are gonna glow red, suggesting its not over."
Producer Guy "Is it over?"
Screenwriter Guy "Unless theres a second game, yeah its over. So what do you think?"
Producer Guy "Well people like Superheroes and they like games so, I think its gonna be good. Does it have any other features?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well aside from Player vs. player and player vs. the system. Theres an arcade mode where you fight about 10 opponents and can unlock a special ending of each character."
Producer Guy "Oh so we get to see some awesome cinematic endings?"
Screenwriter Guy "Yeah… no not really."
Producer Guy "What?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well the villains endings are great for them, but almost all the heroes endings will be sad and unsatisfying."
Producer Guy "Why would you do that?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well comics have sad things happen so, you know. Plus I hear DC movies are taking on a darker more serious style."
Producer Guy "Well I can't see that backfiring in anyway."
Screenwriter Guy "Kids love dark and serious. Which reminds be we're gonna have DLCs. Which include different skins and costumes for characters from famous comics like Red Son, Flashpoint and Blackest Night. They can even get five new characters to play as."
Producer Guy "Wow, But wait why weren't they included in the beginning?"
Screenwriter Guy "Well this way we can charge people and get more money."
Producer Guy "More money, why didn't you say so? I love it. So who are the new characters?"
Screenwriter Guy "Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter and Zatanna."
Producer Guy "Oh lets include Scorpion from Mortal Kombat."
Screenwriter Guy "Scorpion?"
Producer Guy "You know ninja turned hellspawn. Says "Get over here!" Likes to rip his own face off and breath fire on people. He'd fit right in."
Screenwriter Guy "Uh sir hes not from DC comics, he belongs to completely different company."
Producer Guy "You just leave that to me. I know a thing or two about demons and hell." His chuckles turn into demonic laughter as his eyes glow red.
Screenwriter Guy "Oh my god!"
Producer Guy "So all in all I like this game. Let make it happen."
Screenwriter Guy "Fantastic."
Producer Guy "But will we ever find out what happened to the characters not in the game? Like Captain Atom, Plastic Man or Hawkman?" Or how Dick Grayson died?"
Screenwriter Guy "Honestly sir I don't think anyones gonna be that curious about it."
Injustice Year 1 to 5. See how it all started and how it all came to this point.
And that was the very first Pitch meeting for a videogame. I think it turned out pretty well. I intend to do more Pitch Meetings in the future. Stay safe everybody.
