"Hey Bucky, what are you doing out here all alone?"

Bucky on the dock turned to Sarah who had just called out to him.

"Hey Sarah, nothing, I just finished helping the guys unload the boat, and was on my way home."

"You mostly looked miserable as sin yeah. Is there trouble brewing between you and my brother?"

When Sarah looked at him like that, Bucky could never send her packing. She had a way of seeing right through to him, which meant Bucky always found himself confiding in her.

"No, everything is fine with Sam, that's the problem, sometimes I feel like everything is too good. That I don't deserve this happiness."

Sarah wrapped an arm around his neck.

"Bucky, where did you learn that happiness is earned ? When you find happiness, you treasure it and do everything to keep it. But that has nothing to do with whether or not you're worthy of it."

Bucky, not quite convinced, shrugged and muttered, "People like me aren't supposed to have someone like Sam, I think fate was being harsh on him."

"Bucky you've got it all wrong. I don't know anything about people like you. But I do know you. And I know that fate was right to put you two in each other's path. You know, ever since our parents died, he was always playing the responsible big brother, never getting angry in front of us, keeping a lot to himself, never talking about what was weighing on his mind. I didn't hear about Riley until years later. But, since he's met you, I feel like I've found the part of my brother that I missed. You allow him to be him and he does the same for you, right? So I don't think fate was harsh on him this time, on the contrary. We're all happy that you're part of the family now."

She concluded her little speech by kissing Bucky on the cheek.

"Ahem, what did I say about flirting with my sister? Carloooos! Carlooos!"

Sarah and Bucky looked back at Sam who was smirking at them.

Sarah walked over to him, pretending to punch him in the shoulder.

"Idiot! Go take care of your boyfriend instead."

Sarah walked away, raised her hand and shouted, "Bye boys! No naughty things on the street!"

Sam chuckled as he moved towards Bucky, "Hey handsome, are you free tonight?".

He took his hand and Bucky replied with the same laughing tone, "For you, always." and stayed like that just looking at Sam.

Sam pulled Bucky towards him until their faces were practically touching and whispered against his mouth, "If you don't stop looking at my lips without doing anything about it, I'm not going to be accountable for my actions and Sarah will hear about our naughty things on the dock tomorrow..."

He saw Bucky's eyes darken with desire, before a glint of mischief appeared. Bucky planted a smacking kiss on Sam's lips and dropped his hand. Then passing behind Sam, he brushed his hand over his butt and murmured as he continued to move. "But if the naughty things happen in the Wilson-Barnes house, no one will know."

That was all Sam needed to react, he joined Bucky quickly, took his hand and they quickly headed for their house.

The rest is their story to tell.
