The Beginning: I made the mistake of binge watching Shadow & Bone on Netflix this weekend. Despite my love for Ben Barnes, I honestly hadn't been all that interested in it. And then, I saw the trailer. I couldn't very well leave well enough alone after that. While watching, I couldn't help but wonder what if...so here we are.

Summary: As the war drags on and party lines shift and switch with every betrayal and scandal; a girl with killing curse green eyes and named for the stars in the sky finds that she is growing to be disenchanted with the rhetoric. Good and evil, light and dark; as if one could have light without shadow or shadows without light? With bodies dropping on either side of her, friend and foe alike, when the magick reverberates along the ley lines and overflows within her core; Asteria Potter finds herself gifted with a single question, one that will change the very fabric of life as she knows it. She can board the train, follow after everything and everyone that she knows. Or she can take his hand, finding herself in a world where magick is considered science and a void of shadow splits a country in two. He says something, someone, awaits her there. He's been waiting for her quite a long time. So...either the symbol burned into her side is a beacon of hope, or she really is Death's favorite bitch to play tricks upon.

Canon: I'll be totally honest, I'm going to be taking a lot of Canon themed events and twisting them to my little heart's content. The world of Harry Potter will not be unrecognizable, but I will be reshaping a lot of it to fit the needs of my ideas for this story. The same can be said for the world of the Grishaverse and Shadow & Bone. The story will follow along with the Netflix Series mainly, though it will take elements from the novels as well.

AU Elements: As said above, we're mixing three different verses here. HP and the Wizarding World, the Grisha Trilogy and accompanied writings, and the new Netflix adaptation of Shadow & Bone. Picking and using themes and information from all of these pools together to form an awesome story, hypothetically. So wish me luck! Also, I'll be using some of the Soulmate!AU aspects here. You've been warned, lol.

Creative Licensing: Above you'll see a list of who I picture for each of the cast characters. You do not have to picture the same as I do, this is just a visual aide for myself, and others! Additionally, I'm aware that the blonde on the moodboard cover picture isn't Pyper. But it was just perfect, so there's that.

Beta: Unfilled at this time. I'm unsure on rather or not I'll be taking a Beta for this story. I don't currently have someone that fits the bill, but the HP World is such a huge undertaking, especially when I'm flipping the script.
