Hi! I'm currently a bit stir crazy with cases rising in my country. So, I decided to write a story about it. The couples in this story are Kia, Jemily and Lantonio. I made an OC for Mike. This is a multi-chapter story. I'll try and update it once a week but no promises cause my Uni finals are soon.

Jayden's POV
With the nighloks gone, my day was fairly mundane. I would get up and get ready. With Ji gone back to his family, I had the responsibility of the whole Shiba house. Even with doing everything, I'm done by noon. I guess I can wake up at any other time than 7 am. Antonio and Lauren moved in together at the start of the lockdown. They had been dating for about a year at that point. They offered me to move in but they are a bit more PDA friendly than I like. So I declined. Lauren now owned a Bakery in the city and Antonio has a fish shop. They are already pretty busy.
Emily would have been here with me, but Serena and her mom needed help on the farm. With the pandemic, a lot of their helper can't come to work and be safe. And with Serena still sick, they didn't wanna risk it. She even joined University in the lockdown. I'm so proud of her, not because she is my girlfriend but because she is doing exactly what she wanted and was thriving at it. But between her classes and her work at home, she was busy. We hardly had time to talk in the day. We usually talked before she went to bed at 10. I wait all day for that time. I miss having her here with me.
Mia and Kevin also moved in. Mia became a preschool teacher and she also taught music at the elementary school next door. Kevin couldn't pursue swimming as he wanted. He became a programmer. They were plenty busy with everything as it is. So, talking to them was rare.
Mike also settled down. He is currently engaged to his childhood best friend Kaylee. He became a pro gamer. He streams on Twitch and I watch him daily. He even got me into gaming. I usually play with him once a week. That's when we talk. Mike changed a lot since I first met him. He is still the same goofball, but he understands his priorities now. Kaylee is a sweet woman, she even had us all for dinner a few times. She is a fashion designer. Kaylee somehow just fit with the seven of us. Just like that. Like she knew us for ages. They had their first child on the way. So, other than my weekly game night with Mike and sometimes, Antonio and Kevin, we couldn't talk during the day.
I usually spend the day learning to play the guitar or learning a new language. Even though I work as a translator, it is usually done by 5 pm. I have been teaching kids online Japanese as well, but that's only twice a week for an hour each. I miss everybody. The house is quiet without anyone. I miss Mike's chatter or Antonio's spool rolling sound. I miss Mia's singing while cooking or Kevin's alarm beeping. I miss Emily's laughter. Even when it was just Ji and me, I miss the page-turning sound I could hear from my room. Even the weather is like my mood grey. The only sound I hear is the pitter-patter of the rain outside.
I used to like being alone but now… This loneliness is getting on my nerves. I can't even move around in the city because of the lockdown.
