Saito stared at his parents' bed. It had been years since he had last been in his birth home, and he had no intentions of returning when he left. He turned to exit the room and lurched backwards. His father's lifeless body sat against the wall "Dad?"

He sprinted over to the corpse. "Dad, get up!" Saito shook his father, "Come on, come on!"

A hand grabbed Saito's wrist. Saito's eyes darted from his dad's dull eyes to the cold hand that had latched onto his wrist.

"Why…" Saito's eyes snapped directly onto his fathers mouth, as the devastating words croaked out of his father's mouth. "Why...did you...hide?"

*BBRINGG BBRINGG BBRINGG*

Saito shot up, his eyes scrutinized every part of the dark room he was in. After seeing a lack of dead fathers, his eyes landed on a couple first aid kits and the doors leading into the hallway of the school, he was in the nurse's office. Saito glanced over his shoulder and saw a note sitting on a chair next to the bed, he hopped out the bed and picked it up. Hey Saito! You fell asleep in class and started making some, uh, strange sounds so I brought you to the infirmary to rest in peace. ha. Anyways I'm writing this note because I had club duties and couldn't stick around, so I can't walk home with you today, don't waste time looking for me! Be safe! - Kiba

The teen's eyes rolled as he read the end of the letter. How hard can it be to walk home with your neighbor? Saito tossed the note aside and slid out of the infirmary bed. The clock read 2:55, I've got five minutes. He knew Issei probably wasn't doing anything important, and would probably walk with him if he could talk Issei out of getting beaten by the Kendo girls. He's still zero for eight in attempts, why not go for nine? Saito headed to the training grounds outside the school, the Kendo club was practicing today and he knew Issei's exact position. He whistled an upbeat tune as he traced the same path he takes every other day that would lead him directly to his target. Before he turned the corner he stuck his arm out and grabbed the pervert's shoulder from behind.

"It's getting a little too easy to predict your schedule, Issei." Saito groaned out.

A mischievous smile grew on the pervert's face. "I don't see why you don't just join us once and awhile Saito. I know about those magazines you have hidden under your bed. They're alright, but I've seen better."

"Absolutely not. I actually prefer walking home, not limping. Speaking of walking- Wait, you were looking under my bed?" Before he could fully register what the lecher meant, Issei was already halfway to the changing rooms.

"I think I'm gonna go meet up with Matsuda and Motohama, see ya later!" Issei quickly said and sprinted off into the distance.

The high pitched shrieks from the trio told Saito that Issei had met his timely demise at the hands of the Kendo club. As he walked off the Academy campus he basked in the sunset that peaked through the woods in the distance. He had come to love this town after only moving in months prior, everything about it calmed him to the point of serenity, including the people. He extended his hand and waved at the mother and daughter, Sayuri and Aiko walking across the street. The pair happily waved back at Saito, the Sada's were Saito's neighbors and helped him settle in when he moved to Kuoh.

Saito reached the intersection to his house and stumbled to the curb. He looked down and saw his shoelaces untied, he bent over and ran through the motions of tying his shoelaces. As he finished the final loop a rat scurried past his shoes, he sneered at the rodent as it ran into the patch of grass next to him. The one thing that he disliked about Kuoh is how the worst of the worst came out at night. He glanced down the street and saw a short, white haired girl walk into a dark alley. He grimaced at the thought of leaving the situation alone. He thanked himself for packing his outfit in his bag, because a masked vigilante never looks cool wearing a school uniform.

-Koneko-

One of the thugs pumped his fist in the air. "Wow, I can't believe this actually worked!"

"Yeah who would've thought using candy would actually lure in a girl!" The other thug exclaimed.

Koneko glanced between the two men as they conversed among themselves. "So…do I get the candy or not?"

The thug reached his hands out towards Koneko. "You can get the can candy later, but now we're gonna enjoy your sweets."

"I hope you saved some for me!" A fourth voice said as it descended from the top of a building.

The figure landed on the balls of their feet, on a closer Koneko could see it was an average height, well built guy that wore a red oni mask, a black hoodie with the hood covering his hair, black cargo pants, black combat boots and gloves.

"Shit! I didn't think the Demon would show up, we were quiet about this one! Let's run!" The second thug said.

The Demon stepped in front of the two, cornering them. "If you think you're leaving this alley without a cop car or an ambulance, you're as stupid as I thought."

The Demon rushed the first thug and planted his fist into the thug's face, sending him flying and leaving his body imprinted in the wall. The Demon picked up the knife from where the previous thug's hand had been planted in the wall. Koneko had noticed something odd about the Demon's punch, it's almost as if the punch skipped frames right before it connected. She wanted to study how the Demon fought since no one in her peerage had seen him this close but, she glanced over at the thug who recently became public art, it seemed these thugs weren't going to put up much of a fight. Everyone in the peerage had heard about the Demon but since he wasn't considered a threat, and was doing good for the town, they left him alone.

The thug that was still conscious sprinted over to Koneko and wrapped his arm around her throat. "You bastard! I'll teach you to fuck with us!" The second thug yelled at the Demon. The thug raised a knife to Koneko's throat. "Move an inch and she dies!"

The Demon tilted his head to the side and dropped his arms. "What's the end goal here? You slit her throat and you go to jail for life."

The thug brought the knife closer to Koneko's throat. "You'll let me leave if I take her hostage!"

"Pfftt!" The Demon placed a hand on his chest. "Why would I let you leave? The reason I'm here is to stop you from leaving." The Demon rolled the knife to the tips of his fingers.

"Dammit, just let me lea- SHIT!" The knife shot out of the Demon's hand and into the thug's arm, the speed planted the thug into the wall. Koneko didn't care about the thug getting hurt, she was focused on the Demon's movements. She saw it this time, a magic circle appeared on his palm just before he launched the knife. She didn't just miss parts of his windup, he used magic to boost his speed! Now that she knew that he had some sort of magical affinity, Rias would have to know.

-Saito-

Who the hell actually follows a trail of candy! I thought that was outlandish cartoon humor, why would she actually follow a path of candy to a dark alleyway! As Saito walked over to the girl, who just happened to be Koneko Toujo, he looked her over and saw nothing, not even a scratch. I guess I got here fast enough, thank goodness. He glanced at Koneko as her eyes wandered over his mask, it's almost like she tried to take off his mask with her eyes. She doesn't even seem phased that she was almost assaulted by two grown men, she's one tough cookie.

Saito pulled out his phone and called the police, they could deal with the thugs and help Koneko press charges. He turned to Koneko and said. "You really shouldn't accept candy from strangers, they'll try and steal from you, or worse."

"You're strong." Koneko shoved her face right in front of Saito's mask. "Who are you?"

Saito stepped back and rested against the wall. "Bad guys call me the Demon, the name stuck and people ran with it."

Saito chuckled. "For good reason too, but that's only to people who threaten the peace of this town. I really like this place, so someone's got to look out for the little guy, you know?"

She stared at his mask for a bit longer, as if she wanted to search his eyes through the mask. She pointed at his mask. "The thugs called you the Demon, you come up with that?"

"Oh no! I think the name sucks but I can't think of anything better. I just thought the mask looked cool, haha," he scratched the back of his neck with his gloved hand, "but if the name sticks in the minds of bad guys I'm happy to keep it."

Saito lurched off the wall as sirens wailed in the distance. "You stay safe, you hear me," he crouched and bounced from one leg to the other, "I don't want to find you in this same predicament next week!"

"You smell familiar." Koneko stated as she walked towards Saito.

It's definitely time to go. "Be safe and don't trust any strangers offering you candy anymore! It's never what you think it is!" Saito hopped onto his toes and launched himself onto the roof of the building. He dashed over a few rooftops until he reached his apartment building, his eyes scoured the nearby area making sure no residents were outside. Seconds later he darted in front of his door and slid into his apartment, he hung the mask on the wall and undressed himself. Tonight he'd treat himself to a long shower and a good meal.

X

Saito sat underneath a tree between the old and new school buildings. He had left campus to get a meal from Mr. Toji's shop because he would be damned if he ate more school food than he needed to. As he took a bite out of his sandwich he spotted Kiba and Koneko walking by.

"Yo! Kiba, Koneko!" Saito waved at the two students.

"Yo Saito!" Kiba waved back.

"Saito." Koneko noded back at the boy.

Saito glanced between the old school building and the two students. "ORC stuff today?" Saito stood up and dusted off his pants. "If you see Rias and Akeno tell them I said hello," Saito's face fell, "do not forget to tell Akeno."

"Don't worry, don't worry I won't forget again." A dark shadow donned on Kiba's face as his grin grew. "Maybe I should tell her you're out here right now."

"Uh, no need to do that," Saito's eyes darted left and right, "I was actually about to leave, have fun doing occult stuff!" Saito made his way back to the new school building to finish his last class of the day, while Kiba and Koneko started towards the old school building. He glanced back at the pair as they entered the old school building. You know, I wonder what they talk about in those ORC meetings.

-Koneko-

"Rias. Akeno." Koneko announced as she entered the ORC clubroom.

"Hey Rias, and Akeno." Kiba greeted as he sat on the couch in front of Rias' desk. "Oh, and Saito said hi to you both," he turned to Akeno, "he urged me to make sure you knew he said hello."

"So he remembered this time," A devious grin appeared on Akeno's face, "maybe I should pay him a visit. Is he still outside?"

"He also urged that you don't come see him."

Akeno pouted, "He's no fun," then smiled again, "I'll see him eventually."

"So what was it you wanted to talk to me about Koneko?" Rias leaned forward in her chair. "You mentioned the Demon and it seemed important."

Koneko went on to recall the events of the previous night, conveniently leaving out the part where she followed a trail of candy into a dark alleyway, telling her fellow peerage members about how the Demon 'saved' her from the thugs. She mentioned how the Demon used a type of magic that boosted the speed of his punches and throws, and to scale a building.

"Since he was able to scale a building in a single leap, I would assume that rules out speed magic." Rias smirked. "It would seem we have a rogue magician on our hands."

Akeno smiled and clapped her hands together. "Who would have thought Kuoh's own Batman would become a magician, this keeps getting more and more interesting!"

Even Kiba seemed giddy at the idea that there was another non-hostile force in Kuoh. Koneko would be a liar if she said she didn't feel any type of excitement. Being the only people in town with this kind of power can become boring. If you have a group to share with, it can slow the boredom, but eventually all the stories repeat themselves. The same contracts, the same pacts, the same strays. She wouldn't trade this group for the world, but she would never take something new and exciting for granted.

Kiba cupped his chin with his hand, "So, what do we do about the Demon. I know we didn't do anything before because he was still small-time, but he has access to magic, should we confront him?"

Rias leaned back in her chair and stared at the ceiling, "If he continues on this path into the supernatural, I'm sure our paths will cross naturally. Seeking him out and confronting him may come off as a hostile action." Rias leaned forward in her chair and grinned, "Now let me tell you about the boy with the Sacred Gear, Issei Hyoudou."

-Saito-

Saito stared blankly into Issei's eyes, "You mean a real woman...asked you...to be in a relationship with her?"

"Yes! Yes she did!" Issei yelled, while he shook Saito violently. "I have a girlfriend!"

Saito gently grabbed Issei's arms. "I'm happy for you, really I am, but are you sure it wasn't a dream?" Saito questioned.

"I'm positive! Look I have a picture!" Issei pulled out his phone and shoved a picture of a dark haired girl into Saito's face.

Saito stared at the picture for what felt like an hour before two words spilled out of his mouth. "She's real." Saito looked into Issei's eyes and shook him as hard as he could. "You did it! You got a girlfriend!" For a few minutes Saito and Issei hugged, danced and sang in the middle of the school's courtyard. Blissfully ignorant of the students that stared at them.

Saito hung his arm around Issei's neck and pointed at the school's front gate. "Well go be with her! The only thing between you and a woman is a couple yards! Go my friend, go!"

Issei sprinted out of school limits faster than anyone before him. Saito teared up as he watched his friend run towards his destiny, but something pulled him right back to reality. Among the many whispers talking about Issei and his moment of happiness, he heard one whisper that stuck in his ear like a Q-tip.

"Hey, did you know Uehara and Fukuda went missing doing a test of courage?"

"I heard they went to the abandoned building in the forest up north and never came back."

Saito had heard everything he needed. The abandoned building in the forest to the north, the Demon would be there.

X

Dressed in the full Demon outfit, Saito found himself outside the run down building unable to move. The copper stench of blood filled Saito's nostrils, a stark reminder of just how mortal he was. He was no different than the two girls that went missing in this building a day prior. No matter how much magic and martial arts he had at his disposal, he was still human.

This evil power permeated the area around the building and wrapped around Saito's body like a python. His movement was restricted, only allowed to stare at the door that would lead him to his demise, he was sure of it. He had felt fear before, this was not fear, this was an otherworldly terror.

Saito's legs trembled as he backed away from the door of the cursed building. He reached a hand under his mask and wiped his eyes as he dashed away from the cursed building. Uehara and Fukuda, I'm not brave enough to avenge you today. I'm sorry.

Saito sprinted over the rooftops of Kuoh Town and wondered about what could possibly be in that building. He had only felt pressure like that once before, when his father died. I couldn't do a damn thing, again. The teen shook his head as he leapt from building to building. Next time I'll deal with whatever's in there, I swear I will.

He shook his head again and tried to think of anything else. His brain immediately jumped to Issei, a smile formed on his face as he remembered that his friend was finally able to, what was he able to do? Saito skidded to a stop on a rooftop. Why am I happy for Issei? He dropped to his knees and grabbed the sides of his head as a terrible migraine shot through his head. He thought back to Issei and himself dancing in the middle of the school campus. Why were we so happy?

Saito winced as he climbed to his feet and took off across the rooftops again. If I can't remember it can't be that important. Despite his dismissal of the forgotten memory, he continued to prod his brain to see what was missing. No matter what he did there seemed to be a strange hole in his memory. What did Issei tell me at school?

X

Saito stared at the sky through the leaves of the tree he sat underneath. What the hell did Issei tell me yesterday? He tried multiple times to retrace his steps from yesterday but every time he got to the point where Issei showed him his phone, his mind would blank. It was pointless of him to try and focus on anything else that day, all he could think of was the glaring hole in his memory. Saito scowled and jumped to his feet. I'll just go ask Issei, if I can't remember he probably does.

The instant Saito turned he saw Issei bounding towards him with a fervor he had never seen before. "Saito you remember right?" Issei said, as he latched onto Saito's arms.

Saito winced as he tried to peel Issei's hands off his arms. "That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about, I feel like I'm forgetting something."

Issei grabbed Saito tighter as he pleaded with him. "My girlfriend! You remember her right?"

Saito tried his hardest to remember this girlfriend Issei has or had, but nothing came to mind. Saito frowned at Issei, "Stop joking, I'm sure I'd remember if you got a girlfriend."

Issei clenched his teeth and launched Saito backwards. "I'm not joking! Something weird is going on and no one's taking me seriously! Dammit, what the hell is going on!" Issei shook his head and stormed out of the school's front gate.

Saito rubbed his biceps as he gathered himself. Issei wasn't even strong enough to make Issei trip before, now he's able to launch Saito back multiple feet? Something was wrong and Saito needed to know exactly what happened overnight. He stared at Issei as he left the school's campus. I want to see why he's acting like this. Saito turned his head toward the school wall as Issei shouted from behind it. I'm not too sure he'll want to see me though.

Saito crouched behind a bush a couple feet away from Issei as his friend stumbled and staggered down the street. Saito ducked and weaved into cover as Issei checked over his shoulder, looking at people multiple meters away. Something weird is happening, I've never seen Issei act like this before.

Saito followed Issei as he walked toward the park fountain. He hopped onto a tree slightly outside the park since there was nothing other than benches inside the park. After getting settled in the tree Saito put on his Demon mask. There's no point in silently tailing someone if you have to expose your identity the second you have to help. Saito watched Issei intently from above as his friend wandered around the park.

As Issei approached the fountain in the middle of the park, Saito's heart rate spiked and he took in an involuntary sharp breath. The same paralysis from the night before took hold of him again. His head shivered as he glanced over his shoulder to a man in a gray trench coat, and a black fedora.

The python forged from primordial fear slithered around Saito's body once again, it constricted itself around Saito and forced him to sit motionless and watch his friend sprint away from the dangerous man. Saito shook as he watched his friend get cut off, was he really going to let his friend die in front of him? Saito grit his teeth, how the hell can he call himself the defender of Kuoh if he can't save someone who's right in front of him!

"Gah!" Issei fell to his hands and knees and grasped at the spear that had been hurled into his stomach.

Saito snarled as blood pooled underneath his friend. Dammit Saito move! Saito formed a magic circle on his back and only had one target in mind. "Die bastard!" Saito fired off like a bullet towards the monster, he twisted his body to land a powerful kick to the monster's temple. The monster raised his forearm and blocked the kick, and shot his arm out to grab Saito. Saito quickly formed a magic circle above his head and propelled himself to the ground, the second he reached the ground he stayed low and tried to sweep the monster's leg.

The monster jumped back and his features tightened. "I don't have time to spend fighting some worthless human." The monster formed the magic spear again and raised it to the sky.

Saito's body tensed as he looked to his left and saw Issei lying in his own pool of blood. He glanced back at the spear and instantly rushed to protect his friend, the monster planted his foot and pulled his arm back as the weapon grew brighter and brighter. Saito glanced back at Issei just to see the pool of blood grow wider and wider. He spread his arms wide to cover Issei's body, "If you're gonna throw that weapon, hit me!"

The monster's lips tugged upwards. "Will do!"

Saito flinched as the monster followed through, and launched the bright weapon directly at Saito. Fortunately a red blast flew over his head and intercepted the weapon. He threw himself to his feet, ready to defend Issei from the source of the blast and his assailant.

"Keep your hands off of him." The red headed, Great Lady of Kuoh Academy, Rias Gremory stepped out of what Saito assumed was a magic teleport, er, thing.

"I'll teach you not to meddle where you don't belong!" The monster flung the weapon at Rias.

Rias stood unbothered, as Koneko Toujou dropped from the sky and deflected the weapon into the woods. The monster leaped forward at the two girls with his weapon drawn and ready to attack. Saito lunged forward and formed a magic circle on his foot, propelling it forward to create the perfect leg sweep to trip the monster. As the monster fell onto his back a lightning bolt crashed into him and tossed Saito across the park. Saito flipped mid air, landed on his hands and toes and slid, to a stop. He quickly gathered himself and looked up at the lightning bolt caster, Akeno Himejima.

The monster groaned out. "That hair, you're from the house of Gremory."

Rias smirked as she looked down at the monster. "My name's Rias Gremory, and who are you?"

Saito's eyes darted back and forth as Rias, and what he now knows as a Fallen Angel talked amongst each other. He stared intently at the Fallen Angel when he mentioned that Issei was one of Rias' servants. Issei! He rushed over to Issei and placed two fingers on his friend's neck. Thank God his heart's still beating.

The Fallen Angel beat his wings, ascended into the sky, and glared at Rias, "My name is Dohnaseek and I pray that you, that human, and I, never cross paths again."

The Gremory Group turned and walked over to Saito and Issei, Saito dropped to his knees and slammed his head into the ground. "Please, save Issei! I don't know what you can do, but you said he's your servant right! I know he can be a shithead lecher, but he's a great guy at heart and doesn't deserve to die like this! Please!"

Rias chuckled and knelt down next to Issei. "Don't worry I won't let him die, but I do want to thank you for doing your best to protect one of my servants. Not many would put their life on the line to protect someone."

Saito lifted his head and looked Rias in her eyes. "Someone's got to protect people who cant protect themselves. I'll be that person for as long as I can."

Rias smiled and picked up Issei. "I'm glad we have someone like you protecting our city." The magic portal thing from before started to glow underneath the group of girls. "Hopefully we can meet in between classes some day."

Saito covered his eyes from the flash of the circle, he looked for a trace of the girls but they had vanished. He should have guessed that the club named 'Occult Research' was involved with the supernatural. Wait, did she say... Saito glanced down at his outfit, and dropped his masked face into his palms. He never changed out of his school clothes, he only put on the mask. Saito fell onto his ass as the adrenaline left his body, he stared at the puddle of blood next to him and could only think one thing. What the hell just happened.

X

Saito arrived at class the next day, and it may have been one of the most useless days of class he ever attended. Every class he attended was spent with his head in his hands as his mind attempted to process what happened the day before. So there are Fallen Angels targeting people in Kuoh. Issei is the servant of Rias Gremory, and the ORC is a front for magicians. Saito peered over his shoulder, and scanned the class for the Prince himself. If the other members of the ORC are magicians, it'd be a safe bet to assume Kiba is one too. Could this mean that Issei is a magician too? It would explain how he got- Is Issei alive? Saito jumped out of his chair and sprinted out the classroom door. Saito scanned the building checking every nook and cranny for his lecherous friend. He swung his head to the front entrance, and his jaw dropped.

Issei just walked into school with Rias Gremory. Saito shook his head and turned to rush to the stairs, but stopped himself at the first step. If I go down there and rush to Issei, I might as well introduce myself to Rias as The Demon. He took a deep breath and sauntered down the stairs, his eyes darted between Rias and Issei. "Yo Issei! I see you've made a new friend, nice to see you again Gremory."

"Nice to see you too, Sato." Rias smiled.

The corner of Saito's lips tugged towards his ears as he and Rias shook hands. He turned to Issei, and his smile grew tenfold. "You wanna explain how you pulled this off?"

Rias chuckled as she strolled away. "Issei, I'll send someone to fetch you after class."

"Send someone to fetch me?"

Saito gripped Issei's shoulders and pulled him back and forth. "Focus on me! How did this happen! How did you manage to become friends with a Great Lady!" Saito glanced over his shoulder and saw Matsuda and Motohama turn the corner at speeds he thought impossible. Matsuda led with an unbelievable right hook, sending Issei careening into the pillar he was next to. Before Motohama could land his follow up Saito grabbed the two and tossed them down the hallway. Matsuda and Motohama glared at Saito then stormed off, mumbling about traitors and high class women.

Saito bent down and extended his hand. "Come on get up." Issei clutched his hand and wrestled himself off the ground. "You okay?"

Issei rubbed his bruised cheek. "Yeah I should be fine, that punch didn't hurt as much as I thought it would."

Saito's eyes softened. "I'm not talking about that, I meant last night, you stormed off campus then went ghost for the entire night. I called you five times, no response."

Issei shifted his eyes away from Saito's. "Oh, I was busy last night, sorry about that."

Saito searched Issei's eyes. Yeah you were definitely busy. Saito flashbacked to Issei lying in a pool of his own blood, then shook his head to rid himself of the memory. He believed my lie, but I still don't want him to feel lonely in this supernatural world he was dragged into. "Issei. If you ever want to talk to me about something, I'm here for you. You don't have to carry your burdens alone."

Issei patted Saito's shoulder, while the smile on his face grew. "I appreciate that man, I've got to run to class, but thanks for the talk." He threw a half hearted hook into Saito's ribs. "That's for letting Matsuda land that hit, I'll catch you later."

Saito turned to go to his class, he still had a bit of time before he would be late. As he walked up the stairs to his next class he overheard a conversation between two classmates. "Did you hear, apparently a cop went missing searching for Uehara and Fukuda." Saito snarled and fire flashed behind his eyes, No more bodies, that monster dies tonight.

X

Saito darted through the forest, facial features distorted into a scowl as he closed in on the abandoned building. As he approached the building he smelled the bloody copper in the air, the python of terror formed and slithered around his body once again. You're on a death march, just wait for the ORC to handle this.

If I'm on a death march I'm taking that damn monster with me. My hesitation cost someone their life, the ORC's ignorance cost three, I won't let there be a fourth. Saito trudged up to the door of the building and stared at the door. No point in sneaking in. One deep breath, Saito slammed his foot into the wooden door, and blew it off its hinges. "Come out monster! You've got a date with Death and I'm the matchmaker!"

A sultry voice permeated the air. "What's that I smell~? Another delicious human came right to me~? How sweet."

As the monster strutted forward the top of its body peaked through the shadows. She's got massive tits. Saito slapped himself in the face, then pointed at the monster. "You've taken too many lives! I'm here to send you to hell!"

The monster's lips twisted into a cruel smile. "If you think you can send me back, be my guest!" The monster strolled all the way out of the shadows and revealed its chimera-like lower half.

Saito's face tightened as he gazed upon the monster's new form. What the hell have I gotten myself into.

The monster fondled it's breasts causing its nipples to perk up. "Fresh prey always tastes best after being melted a bit!"

Saito squinted as the monster seemed to pleasure itself "Is this really necess-." Saito launched himself to the side as the monster shot white liquid out of its nipples. He turned and stared at the place of impact, and watched as the liquid ate away at the wall next to him.

Saito instantly rushed the monster, leaped next to its knee and pulled his arm back. He used his propulsion magic to launch his arm forward, his fist cut through the air with insane speed. The fist slammed into the monster's knee at top speed with a sick crack that caused the knee to flip in the opposite direction.

The monster howled and stumbled backwards. "Damn brat! I'll teach you what happens when you fight Vizer!" The monster fired another barrage of acidic milk at Saito. He weaved in between the pillars around the building, and narrowly dodged every blast of the milk colored acid. After he ran behind a pillar he zipped onto the wall and launched himself off of it, as he shot off the wall he jerked his upper body to the left. The momentum from the sudden movement created the perfect angle for a roundhouse kick directly to Vizer's midsection. Right before his boots could make contact, Vizer swung her arm around and swatted him like a fly.

Saito tried to propel himself in a different direction to reduce his speed but it was no use. He gagged as he slammed into the wall, the impact knocked the air out of his lungs as he dropped to the floor. Damn those hits are devastating, I take too many more and I'm dead. I gotta stay fast and close to the legs, that's how I win. Saito's legs shook as he stood to his feet, as his blurred vision came back into focus he saw one thing. White. He instantly propelled himself to his left, jetting out of the way of the acid.

"You seemed so confident before! One hit and you can barely stand! You came all this way just to die!" Vizer cackled as she prepared to fire more rounds of acid.

Saito took a deep breath in, held, then released it. He instantly jumped on the wall and launched himself to the wall opposite of him, landing a punch on Vizer as he crossed. He propelled himself to the adjacent wall and launched himself at Vizer's legs, turned himself horizontally and attacked another knee and landed a vicious hit with his heel. Saito propelled himself at her leg as fast as he could, he pulled his fist back ready for his next strike. If she can't stand, she won't be able to defend my fast attacks. I've got to do this now!

Vizer cried out, stumbling while she tried to correct her balance onto her two remaining legs. "You little shit! I've played with you for long enough, time to die! Vizer shot her arm out like a bullet, preemptively striking the ground in front of her knee. The shockwave disrupted Saito's midair trajectory, he tried to correct himself but it was too late. Vizer slammed her fist into Saito, and sent him straight into the wall. He crashed into the wall with a nasty crack, he looked back towards the monster and only saw white, again. Saito instantly propelled himself to the ground and stared as the wall of acid flew over his head. He dashed behind a pillar, and inhaled deeply. He put his left arm down to peek around the corner, the second his arm touched the ground he quickly shifted back behind the pillar. The bolt of pain that shot through his arm confirmed what he feared, his arm was broken. I need to break one more leg, if I can get her immobile I can unleash hell. She'll be expecting me to aim for the leg, so I'll go high.

Saito cupped his hand around his mouth. "Hey dumbass! Your aim is terrible, maybe you should stop using useless breast cannons and focus on something else!"

Vizer's face tightened. "How dare some lowly human lecture me, in a fight he's losing!" It prepared to fire another barrage of acid at Saito.

Saito's eyes locked onto Vizer's magic circle, This is my chance! He dashed out from behind the pillar, leaped up to Vizer's midsection and cocked his fist back. Vizer's fist flung out to intercept Saito, which he expected. Saito launched himself straight towards the floor, Vizer's fist whiffed and flew straight over his head. Saito landed feet first and bolted towards Vizer's knee. He whirled his body around and slammed his heel into Vizer's, the impact shattered the monster's third leg like glass. He turned his attention to the monster's final leg, his lips turned into a smirk, this fight was over.

Saito pressed his offensive again, and propelled himself at Vizer's last leg. The monster turned to stop Saito's assault, but fell onto it's three broken legs. Saito cocked his fist back and planted his foot on the ground. His foot skidded on the concrete as he found his footing. Dust flew up in front of him as he stopped on a dime, spun his hips and used all the force he built up to demolish Vizer's last healthy knee.

As Vizer cried out in pain Saito's mind could only focus on one thing. It needs to die for what it's done. Saito rocketed off the ground to the back of Vizer's neck placing propulsion magic on his leg and delivered a flying Queixada kick to the back of Vizer's neck. Saito leaped off the monster's broken neck as it dropped to the ground, ready to deliver the final blow.

Vizer stared up at the human that had defeated her. She no longer saw a foolish human, she saw a vengeful spirit that hid behind the mask of a human. A true demon. The Demon twirled in mid air, preparing what she could only assume was his final move. Despite staring directly into her death in midair all she could think about was her former peerage. She murdered her master for being abusive. She escaped to where she thought she could live freely, was she so wrong in want-

Saito twirled into an axe kick, leaving his right leg extended and heel pointed straight at Vizer's temple. Time to die, beast. He launched himself directly down to the ground, clearing 20 feet in under a second. His heel slammed into Vizer's temple, destroying her head, leaving a reddish-pink paste underneath his heel where a head once was.

He stood up and gazed down at the corpse of the monster he had slain, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek as a small smile formed on his face. He had stepped into a realm thought to be fiction, but it had taken three dead bodies to get here. His grandfather taught him martial arts to protect people, and his first attempt to do some real good he let three people die. He knew if his grandfather was here he'd tear him a new one for such a screw up. Saito sighed and turned to exit the building and immediately fell on his ass. His body erupted in pain as the adrenaline trickled out of his system. The entire left side of his body was warm with pain. He took his right hand and traced the left side of his body. His left arm was broken, no pressure could be put on it. He winced as he reached his midsection, he had broken a few ribs at minimum, and his left heel was broken too. He struggled to his feet, corrected his balance to favor his right foot and prepared to limp to the nearest hospital.

As he started to limp towards the door a blast of red and black energy rocketed past his head. Saito slowly, and painfully, brought his fist below his jaw and slid his right foot back. It's not worth much but he would go down fighting.

He heard a familiar voice call out. "Never turn your back on an enemy unless you're sure they are dead."

His eyes caught a glimpse of white socks and brown shoes standing in front of the door. He looked up at the door and saw Rias Gremory, Kiba Yuuto, Akeno Himejima, Koneko Toujou, and Issei. He glanced up and down the group of students, and wryly asked through clenched teeth, "Any chance you just let me walk out of here?"

Rias smirked. "Not before we have a proper introduction."

A.N: Yo! I've had an idea for a DxD fic swirling around in my head for a while now so I decided to finally put it on paper. This is my first attempting at actually writing something that looks like a story so don't go too hard on me in the reviews. That's really it, if you have criticism or a suggestion I'd love to hear it. I'm still planning stuff out for this story so I'd love to hear feedback on it. Thanks!
