So this is based off the song "River flows in you" by Yiruma I'd give it a listen while reading this as that was the song this was based from. Naomi if you see this, its all your idea lol. Enjoy! of course I do not own the character or idea I'm simply the instrument in Conductor Naomi's hands in this piece.

The theater was filled to the brim of people, Akaashi took a deep breath, his eyes ignoring the twinkling lights.

Green garlands drape the rows of seats and the balcony of the second story as the low thrum of people's chatter fill the auditorium. He adjusts his tie as his eyes look for you, the seat reserved for you lay empty and waiting for you. He glances at his watch beginning to worry you won't make it in time for the show.

"Akaashi." Your soft voice catches his attention and he spins around his mouth opening slightly from how beautifully handsome you looked. He could only stare as your eyes look him up and down appreciating the snug suit he wore. His white collar was popped up making you chuckle and walk up to him, reaching up to fix the collar and smoothing out the jacket as you say.

"I just wanted to come and wish you luck. I know you'll do amazing out there but I know how you get nervous before a show like this."

He smiles softly brushing his hand down your cheek, his eyes showing a softness that only you could bring out of him. "Thank you...you look breathtaking, more so than normal."

You blush and duck your head before smiling up at him a sparkle in your loving gaze, as you stand on your tiptoes. "I better be getting to my seat, I don't want to be the reason you're late."

He nods, kissing your lips, hand going to your waist, as you pull away his gaze, not leaving you until you turn the corner disappearing around the corner.

The lights dim and he's given the cue to go onstage, he straightens his back and walks out to the waiting piano, his eyes finding yours for the briefest moment and his lips curl into a small smile before he turns his attention to the piano taking off his jacket and rolling up his sleeves.

The silence was deafening, the people waiting with baited breath including yourself, you sit hands clasped tightly as you watch your husband raise his hands above the keys, your breath stilling as you wait in anticipation.

Even after all this time when your Akaashi played it filled you with emotions and when it was just you two relaxed you more than anything else in the world.

Akaashi plays the first note that rang out clear and crisp and memories flow before his eyes as he moves to the next note and the one after.

Him walking into the classroom freshmen year of college seeing your head held in your hand, chewing on a pen as you stared at your notes. Your beautiful eyes seeming in a daze as you look up when he takes the seat next to you. It was that adorableness that made him sure right then and there you were the one he wanted to spend his life with.

You had smiled up at him holding out your hand introducing yourself. You reminded him of a soft delicate flower and his eyes moved to your pen, Japanese cherry blossoms. He smirked. Blossom. You would be his blossom.

He took your hand bringing it to his lips smirking at your furious blush as you quickly took back your hand trying to ignore him.

He had asked you out that very day after class, he knew what he wanted and he wasn't going to stop unless you told him no.

After a year of fun filled dates you two decided to move in together, of course you two had been two broke college kids so you both could only afford this one room tiny apartment where the couch was a love seat and filled the room. When you had found out he loved to play the piano you had scraped and worked over time to buy him his first piano. A tiny one with a simple stand.

The crowd begins swaying; a few women had their hands over their hearts and tears of joy in their eyes, their own memories passing before them.

Akaashi and you studying before he would have to take a break and he'd play on his piano that he adored while a small smile would grace your tense face as the tension melts away as he plays.

You would often fall asleep in his lap while he played, a book on your chest. After he would just sit there stroking your head staring at you.

The day of your anniversary he had surprised you with the apartment covered in cherry blossom petals and candles. You had walked into him kneeling a little blue box in his hands. That was the day he asked you to marry him.

The stress of your senior year almost did your relationship in, his family pressuring him about finding a "real job" because he chose to follow his dream of being a pianist. The bills falling on your shoulders for a while making you very stressed and exhausted that you would get snappy. But then after each argument he would play on that little piano you got him and all the negative would wash away like a river carrying all your stress away.

The day he got a contract and did his first show you cried from joy. He had held you so tight that day as he broke down after the show a bundle of nerves. You had thought if he let go he may just fall to pieces so you had held him just as tightly.

The day you both packed that tiny apartment you both had tears in your eyes, it had been your home for five long years.

You both had gone to the store and he had pushed you around in the cart piling everything into your arms as you both laughed as he pushed you through the store not caring about the looks people gave you.

The song becomes slower, more heartfelt and your eyes mist up, remembering.

The late nights of trying to stay awake in your little country house waiting for Akaashi to return home from the city from the studio. You'd have fallen asleep on the couch waiting for him, his dinner wrapped on a plate in the fridge awaiting him. You'd wake up but not enough to greet him or open your eyes but could feel the soft gentle kiss to your temple before hearing the soft lullabye of the piano as he plays for your sleeping form.

The late nights of staying up with each other because of work. The days were one of you would come down with a fever and the other taking care of each other the time when you almost lost everything because of the student debt and bills.

The month you had left because of a family passing and Akaashi driving home to the empty house. He would sit in his car sighing and resting his head on the wheel at how much he missed you. Your family trying to convince you to leave him and come back home, he'd pinch the bridge of his nose doubting himself wondering if they were right. He would start to think about the time before you, the time where life was dull and there was n't anything to look forward to, the way his editing job paid like crap and then you came along.

You brightened his world giving him a new breath of life.

His eyes were closed as he played and you couldn't help but smile holding your hands to your lips heart brimming with pride at how far he had come. This was a song he had played at your wedding for you and the first time he played it in front of any other crowd other than your wedding.

The day he had come home after a long day and you were just beaming, was the day he found out he was to be a father.

Teaching your little one how to tie their shoes and you laughing watching Akaashi chase your little one around the yard with their puppy on their heels.

You getting the big promotion you'd been dreaming of since forever.

The movie nights where the three of you would build a blanket fort in the living room and spending the night in it with your growing child in between you two Akaashi's arms draped over the both of you warming your heart.

The time you walked in on the two making you breakfast and you just smiled leaning in the doorway going unnoticed so to let them think they surprised you snuck back to bed acting like they woke you up with their kisses and breakfast in bed.

How proud you both were when your kid brought home their first report card. Your entire house decorated with their pictures and Akaashi's records along with pictures of memories of your little family.

The song ends and you're the first one up and clapping tears flowing down your face as you clap, wiping away your tears. The entire audience stands clapping and several whistles were let out but Akaashi doesn't pay attention to anyone else as soon as his eyes open they were on you and at your joyful tears he couldn't help but feel completely loved by you.

You were the first one to leave when he leaves the stage practically running to where he would exit, the second the door opened you jump at him in a hug.

He laughs wrapping his arms back around you as you look up at him in awe. "You were so good words can't describe it."

He smiles his aura of calm washing over you and you just melt into his arms as he kisses your forehead. "Thanks Blossom, now why don't we go home now? I'm sure our little one is waiting for us."
