Beneath A Tattered Banner
A Fallout/Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice & Fire/Elder Scrolls crossover

Prologue: Beginnings
In the years following the Great War that turned the United States of America into the Wasteland, many factions formed from the ashes of the Old World to rise into the new one. Many factions sought different things; some sought out technology, some sought to reunite with friends and loved ones, others sought to restore the Old World by any means necessary, whilst other factions sought to rule this new world.
While those factions fought and squabbled for a slice of the Wasteland, they all sought out the military and martial-minded of people to fight in their conflicts. More often than not, those who had found themselves unscathed by the Great War were left without nothing. In many cases, such people sought out work as mercenaries. Whether they guarded the merchant caravans that roamed the Wastes from Raider gangs, ran protection for settlements and farmsteads looking to protect what they had or had no qualms about what they did or who paid them, a mercenary could make a good living in the Wasteland.
Of course, some of the cleverer and more strategic of mercenaries decided to band together, for various reasons such as safety in numbers or for more employment opportunities that could be offered than running solo, mercenary companies quickly formed in the Wasteland. Some had good intentions, but more than a few were no better than the bloodthirsty Raider gangs in the Wastes.
Of the many mercenary companies that roamed the Wasteland of America, there was one such mercenary company that was unique. The founding members of this company claimed to have come from another world that had never known the horrors of the Atomic Fire, nor known monstrosities such as the Super Mutants and the like. Of course, one could consider such tales of coming from another world untouched by the Great War to be a fantasy, meant to beguile the naïve. But then, who was to say otherwise?
There were many stories about this mercenary company and the details of their beginnings are quite muddled, further congested by time and distance as stories were told of them.
But whether one chooses to believe this story to be true or not is up to those who listen and those who tell it.
While the details about this band of warriors is muddled, the name of their company has always been consistent, as is their battlecry on the field of battle.
The name of the mercenary company? The Tattered Banners. And their company words: "Beneath a Tattered Banner."
And so we begin to tell the story of the Tattered Banners in the Wasteland of America…

A/N: There! The prologue of this story is done! I apologise for it being so short, but I felt that beginning the story with this little prologue would set things up. Now, as you can already tell, this story is a Fallout/Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice & Fire/Elder Scrolls crossover and in that regard, I have set up a voting poll as to which Fallout game/setting should be used. So far, New Vegas seems to be the favourite, but if you want to see a different Fallout game be used (i.e. Fallout 4) then you'll have to vote for that Fallout on the poll. My aim is for the poll to reach around about 30 individual voters before closing it, so you know what to do.
In any case, I have not got too much more to say so I'll just leave this here and I'll see you all next time.
Be kind to one another,
Angry lil' elf.
