Oh and uh... forgive Kitt's mouth in this one. It's all Michael's doing really ;)
Daddy Dearest
"Alright." Michael said, looking a little uncomfortable once he hopped back into Kitt. "This guy obviously isn't affiliated with anything regarding the case."
"Ugh, you're telling me." Kitt replied. "I was listening the whole time through the com-link. I just about blew my Alpha Circuit listening to him drone on and on about how he can't perform-"
"O-kay, Kitt. Thank you!" The man quickly shut him up before the blunt AI could go into detail about the man's, ahem, 'issues' anymore. "We don't need a recap, buddy."
"I'm just saying." Kitt remarked haughtily. "The only reason he even brought that up - of all things - was because he was in to you."
Michael scowled in disbelief. "What? How do you know that?"
"Michael, really. How can a man of your nature not notice these things?"
All Kitt got was a flat glare in return. The AI hmphed.
"Well," he began in a sly purr. "Let's just say half way through your conversation, I, your ever loyal companion, couldn't help but notice the beginnings of some rather... drastic bodily changes to the man. Not to mention his hormone levels were steadily rising to the point that it became quite obvious of the way he was thinking of you, Michael. Or better yet, wanted to do to you."
Michael could feel himself pale. "Please tell me you're joking."
"Oh no, Michael." Kitt quipped. He then added huskily, "One look into your baby blues and he was more than hooked."
An uncomfortable shiver passed through the man's frame. Okay, strange older guy secretly hitting on you when all you're trying to do was gather information on your supposed suspect... gross.
Very gross.
Probably could top as the grossest thing Michael's had to experience thus far - even if he genuinely had no clue it was happening.
But, more importantly, why didn't Kitt save him when he first started noticing these, uh, changes?
Kitt's laughter snapped him back to the present.
"What?" Michael asked vehemently.
"Your face!" The AI chuckled. "Oh that look will never get old, I promise you! I'm so glad I have the ability to log moments such as this."
Michael could only smile bemusedly. "I'm so glad my disgust humors you so."
Kitt only laughed again. Michael shook his head with another bemused smile and stared off into the distance outside the driver window. Ever since Kitt had his babies, conversations like these seemed to be their new normal. It was like Kitt's hormone levels (something Michael didn't even know his partner possessed until now) completely changed his usual professional demeanor. He was still logical and precise when needed of course. But Kitt definitely had a new flamboyant air of him as of late. His filters of appropriate topics of conversation and inappropriate suggestive phrases pretty much went AWOL anymore.
At least just with him. It was rare for him to say anything like that whenever Bonnie was around. And it only ever happened with Devon once a blue moon.
"Whatever you say, pal. Let's just get back to the semi."
"Of course." His partner answered before taking over control of the car and plotting the fastest course. On the way there, they started to run into some traffic, so Kitt rerouted them through a residential neighborhood. Once they were back on side roads, Michael noticed a little convenience store and eventually talked Kitt into stopping. Claiming he deserves a treat after enduring such an inappropriate situation. The AI reluctantly gave him ten minutes, saying he needed to get back to relieve Bonnie from babysitting duty. The man gave a Boy Scout salute and disappeared into the store. Kitt set his surveillance mode on his partner and began organizing files from the case while he waited.
Michael was only gone for about five of those ten minutes when another noisy car pulled up right beside him. Kitt felt a little claustrophobic at the closeness, but otherwise didn't react visibly. A distinct whirr was heard. Kitt turned away from his musings to focus on his surroundings. Horror suddenly gripped his virtual heart when he finally recognized the vehicle next to him.
"You." Kitt growled in distrust and hate. The charcoal Trans Am next to him smiled deviously.
"Ah, baby don't be like that." The other purred in his husky voice. He attempted to get closer to the other essence, but only received a vicious attack from a fire wall that left him jerking back in pain.
"Don't touch me!" Kitt snapped. The other AI wasn't deterred in the slightest by the aggressiveness.
"Kitt, sweetheart, why are you acting like this with me?" He tried to sweet talk Kitt. The black Trans Am scowled, his ruby red scanner portraying his fury.
"Seriously? You really want to know the answer to that question, Kyle?"
"I do." Kyle replied, ever patiently.
Kitt didn't think he's ever felt so angry in his life. "You got me pregnant and then left me to go through everything by my myself! Everything, Kyle! Not once did you give a shit to think about checking in and seeing how things were going! Not. Once!"
"Baby, you know I would've loved nothing more than to come see you. But I had other matters to attend to. You know that."
"Oh," Kitt drawled sarcastically. "And just what would those 'matters' be, hm? Because I'd just love to fucking know, Kyle!"
But before Kyle could reply, Michael came walking out of the store with a bag full of snacks. He paused once he came close, noticing how the other T-Top was pretty much pressed to Kitt's side. Any other time, Michael would've made a joke of how Kitt was getting friendly with another, but there was something about the way his scanner darted back and forth that betrayed otherwise.
"Uh, Kitt? Who's your friend?"
"No one. Just some scum bag who needs to get a life." The AI seethed venomously. Michael's gut clenched as he connected the dots.
"Ah. So this is Daddy Dearest." Michael stated. Kitt had mentioned something of the guy's appearance before. Not long after the babies were born, in fact. But this was the first time Michael had ever laid eyes on the other AI.
"Uh, who are you?" The charcoal Trans Am asked, annoyed.
"His partner." Michael said firmly, feeling a wave of protectiveness wash over him as he stepped up to Kitt's prow. He then turned his attention to Kitt, jerking a thumb at the other car. "This really the douchebag?"
"Unfortunately, yes." Kitt confirmed dully.
"Aw, honey don't sound so put out." The charcoal Trans Am pressed his bumper to Kitt's fender, apparently ignoring Michael's presence entirely. Kitt's hackles raised at the ignorant intrusion of his space. "I'll tell you what. Why don't I follow you back and then we can go see the how to kids are doing, eh? Whaddya say?"
Kitt growled something feral. It gave Michael quite a shock since he's only ever heard such a sound from Karr. "Over my dead body you'll even get a glimpse of my kids you WORTHLESS PILE OF FUCKING SHIT!" His passenger door slammed into the side of the charcoal car hard enough to leave a huge dent and slide Kyle over several feet, his tires squealing in protest at the abrupt shove.
"Whoa, hey." Michael tried to coax the outraged AI as he nimbly jumped into the driver's seat. The man couldn't shake the feeling he was standing in front of a raging bull. "Kitt, it's okay. He can't hurt you or your kids. It's alright." He tried stroking the dash as his fallback way of soothing his partner, but the comfort seemed to have no effect on Kitt.
"Hey!" Kyle barked. "Baby, what was that for?"
"Don't call me 'baby' you asshole. I'm not your 'honey' or your 'sweetheart' either." Kitt spat. "Now get the fuck away from me."
Kyle, however, lacked the physical sense to back away and leave Kitt alone. "Kitt, baby! Don't be like that!"
At this point, Kitt has officially had enough of this guy's bullshit. His engine roared to life and he peeled out of his parking spot a moment later. Leaving his ex-lover to choke on his dust in the parking lot alone. Michael had stayed silent through the whole ordeal, knowing it wasn't his fight. It wasn't until they were safely back on the freeway that Kitt eventually spoke again.
"I'm sorry you had to witness that." Kitt's voice was quiet with an underlying tone of simmering anger. Michael patted the dash.
"Don't worry about it. I'm proud of you for handling that the way you did. The guy was being a pushy jerk and you put him in his rightful place."
Kitt was quiet for a moment. "I didn't really get upset until he mentioned the babies. The way he just suggested so casually, like it wasn't a big deal at all... that's what set me off. Really set me off." He scoffed. "I can't believe I fell for his tricks in the beginning. I feel like such an idiot."
"You're not an idiot, Kitt. Situations like that happen way more than you think." Michael gently told him. He knew the whole situation from start to finish made Kitt feel less like a sophisticated being, and more along the lines of a rebellious teenager just trying to make a point. "Look, stuff happened between you two, we can't change that. But look on the bright side. You now have five beautiful and amazing children that are filled with so much life and love, I'm shocked they haven't burst already." Kitt chuckled at the words and Michael grinned at the sound.
"Thank you, Michael. For everything." Kitt said sincerely.
"Anytime, buddy." He stroked the dash. "Anytime."

A few days later saw Kitt and his kids gathered in the main garage. Thankfully, it was a good day. Kitt only had to scold them once arguing. Bonnie was currently at her work station running diagnostic tests and such on Kitt's systems. David and George were both sleeping by her chair, each covered by their own blanket Bonnie had made them. James, William and Joseph eventually began winding down and soon followed their other two brothers into dreamland snuggled up together in the corner. Kitt gave a small sigh.
"They're so cute when they're sleeping." He murmured quietly. Bonnie giggled.
"You said it. Not me."
Before Kitt could respond, an electronic whine was heard. Bonnie looked up a second later, a thoughtful frown on her face. It was all the confirmation Kitt needed to mechanically lock all the bay doors and do a security scan of the entire property simultaneously. A familiar ping soon bounced back to him before he could finish the scan. Without his or Bonnie's doing, the bay door slid open to reveal a two tone Trans Am. Bonnie looked a little alarmed, shooting Kitt a concerned look. He flashed his scanner once, signaling all was well.
"Just can't get enough of this place now, can you?" Kitt teased his brother. The yellow scanner spanned once.
"On the contrary. This particular visit is because I have something I think you'll both enjoy watching." His deep, rich voice purred. "Although I'd have to ask Ms. Barstow to step into my cabin seeing that the little one's are around. I'd hate for them to overhear what's about to be played."
Bonnie looked at Kitt before closing out her computer and gingerly stepping off her chair. Neither baby stirred. Karr's passenger door swung open in invitation. Bonnie hesitated. Yes, she was the one to alter Karr's programming to something more 'environmentally friendly,' but he still had his wild moments. Karr was a free spirit after all.
Kitt pulled closer to his brother's right side, silently assuring he would protect her and intervene should he deem necessary. If Karr noticed the subtle exchange, he didn't comment on it to either party.
She got into his cab.
"Excellent." Karr quipped as she got seated and closed his door. "Now I must say beforehand that I took all necessary precautions in order to keep this from somehow getting back to the Foundation."
"Uhh... why would you need to do that?" Bonnie asked, a sinking feeling in her gut.
"Er... well you'll see."
On his windshield came a news story with a projection of the video feed live from the scene obtained from a near by security camera. It looked to be an older part of down town where it took place. As the news replayed the footage, Kitt felt his proverbial heart drop. He'd recognize that charcoal Trans Am anywhere.
"Oh my word..." Kitt murmured. "Karr, what did you do?"
The cheekiness in his older brother's tone was just plain terrifying. "You'll see."
The footage resumed itself. On the screen, they could see Kyle apparently sitting alone in a parking lot. Karr pulled up beside him a few moments later. The video was paused again.
"Hang on a sec... just adjust that there... aaaand aha! Okay, that should do." A faint click could be heard before Karr's and Kyle's voices filtered through the cabin.
"Hey, who are you? I've never seen you around here before." Kyle's voice asked curiously.
"That is none of your concern." The coldness in Karr's voice brought goosebumps to Bonnie's skin. He sounded just like his old self.
"Whoa, o-kay." Kyle said jokingly. Kitt started shaking his virtual head dreadfully. From past experience, he knew exactly where this was headed. You never joked with a pissed Karr. "A little uptight now, are we?"
They heard a growl. A feral and vicious sound that belonged in the bowels of hell. "Don't be smart with me, peasant. I know exactly who you are. Therefore your life is worthless to me and I will not hesitate in taking it."
The biting tone visibly put fear in the other car. He reversed a few inches. "H-hey man. Let's just calm down, okay? I didn't do anything wrong to warrant this kind of treatment, eh?"
Karr got all up in Kyle's personal space, his engine growling lowly like a pissed off wolf. Even through the feed of a camera, Karr's presence was still intimidating. "I beg to differ. You see... you had a fling with a certain black Trans Am. By the way you just flinched right there, I know you know of whom I'm speaking about. Well, just an FYI, he is my brother. And just last Friday... I hear of a certain charcoal automobile matching your description, harassing my brother. Do you deny any of this?"
Karr's tone was daring. Kyle was physically trembling now. Shrinking back from the overpowering Trans Am. "N-no. But it was all innocent! I-I wasn't doing anything wrong! I just wanted to catch up and go see the kids, I swear!"
"Hmm," Karr growled. "I don't believe you. You're a low life piece of scum from the tar you drive on. Kitt was right to shove you away. You don't deserve to know of anything that happens with any of them."
"That's not fair!" Kyle shouted in anger. "I'm their father! You can't keep me away! I'll find them myself if I have to!"
Kitt gasped. He's never heard such heat in Kyle's voice before. It honestly frightened him to a degree. What if he followed through with what he said?
"Don't worry, brother. Just watch." Karr soothed. Kitt turned his attention back to the tape.
On the video feed, the two tone super car went dead silent. They could all tell something inside Karr snapped at that last comment. He may be considered a loner and not really under FLAG jurisdiction - so long as he followed the agreement - but one thing you never did was challenge your power over his loved one. Karr was incredibly loyal when you gained his trust. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you to keep you safe. So when something or someone decided to interfere with that... well, let's just say they'd be too terrified to even glance your direction in fear of getting mauled.
Unfortunately for Kyle, he was about to learn this.
"Let's get something real clear." Karr said lowly in a venomous tone. His prow slammed into Kyle's already dented side from when Kitt got him a few days earlier. His brother pinned the other AI to the wall, leaving no room for escape. Kyle yelped in fear.
"You aren't doing a damn thing to those kids, you hear me? Those are my nephews and they are under my protection and I will not hesitate to annihilate you should you interfere at any point in time. If I hear of you trying to do anything to my brother ever again in an attempt to get them or otherwise..." Karr paused for affect. It was clear the elder AI loved the way Kyle trembled at the knowledge he was completely at Karr's mercy. "I will not hesitate to kill you. Is that clear?!"
Kyle gasped pathetically, too afraid to form words. Eventually all he could muster was a stuttered, "Y-yes s-sir! Perfectly clear! I won't touch him ever again!"
Karr held him there a little longer. Glaring daggers through the eyes of a killer before finally releasing the charcoal Trans Am. Kyle sat there quaking. Karr revved his engine, jumping forward. Kyle screamed and peeled out of there with the speed of light. The video cut out to the news cast saying their piece of what the footage could be. Karr silenced the audio and took it off screen. Bonnie and Kitt sat there speechless.
"Holy shit..." Bonnie astonished as she glanced at Karr's voice modulator. "Defensive much?"
A seep chuckle. "I still have my ways."
"You don't think he'd ever come back, right?" Kitt finally asked, a note of uncertainty neither Bonnie nor Karr liked. In the background, the babies all sleepily shuffled closer to their mother, as if sensing Kitt's distress.
"If he does, he's an idiot." Karr muttered dryly. "Or just really wants to die. Either one I guess." The elder AI finished with a virtual careless shrug, like threatening people's lives was an everyday thing. The youngest laughed at the bluntness. He couldn't have asked for a better family even if he tried.
