I've been wanting to read a fanfiction where Ace, Sabo, and Luffy are blackmailed into becoming marines. Ok on with the story now!

"Remember this is a very important mission! You three are to attack The Whitebeard Pirates, capture a crew member and bring them back here." Exclaimed the one and only, Sengoku. "Try to get someone high ranking so that Whitebeard himself will come to get their crew member back." Sengoku told the three young adults. The Navy was planning on taking down Whitebeard once and for all.

""Yes, sir.""

The young adults said in unison.

One of the people agreeing was none other than Portgas D. Ace, a 20 year old man who had wavy black hair that was cut just above his shoulders. He wore an orange cowboy hat with red beads around it, it had two blue beads with one of them having a smiley face, and the other a frown.

The other person who answered was Sabo, he was also 20 years old, and had wavy blond hair that was just long enough to cover his left eye, which had a bad burn-scar on it from his childhood. He could still see out of his eye thankfully, but it often scared people, so he kept it hidden with his hair. He had a black top hat with blue goggles on it, making him look like some sort of steam-punk.

Lastly, there was Luffy, who had short black hair. It was straight, and bagged over his eyes a little bit. On his head he wore a yellow straw hat with a red ribbon. He was 17 years old and was shorter than the other two by half-a-head.

The three of them were brothers, not by blood but by bond. They only really had each other, and were glad to have at least that.

They wore the least amount of the Marine themed garments that they could, wearing too much of it on made them feel nauseous. I'm sure anyone would if they were blackmailed into joining the Marines. They wore navy blue pants and a white t-shirt. They had their cloaks around their shoulders with the Japanese kanji for "justice" on the back. They only wore it when they had to, wishing day after day that they could just throw it into a crumpled pile on their cabin floor.

When they had a mission they got it done, because if they don't, the people of Dawn Island will have to pay the price. They hate to admit it, but taking their home island hostage was a smart yet dirty move on the marines part. Ace, Sabo, and Luffy were only one mistake away from a Buster Call to Dawn Island and boom! There home would be gone, along with everyone living there.

They had never wanted to be marines in the first place anyway, they would rather be free, sailing the seas, and kicking ass as pirates.

They hated the marines, and they had plenty of reasons to betray them. If they could though they would, but alas they don't want to be the reason the people on their home island died. Not only that, but having the destruction of Dawn Island on their shoulders, it's something they don't want hanging over their heads.

So they listen, and obey orders like dogs. They don't complain, or whine. They just roll with it. Day after day, in a miserable cycle. They weren't strong enough to save Dawn Island yet. Not strong enough, yet.

When they got close enough to the Moby Dick, Sabo hopped off the boat and swam to the ship. He hopped on only to find that the Whitebeard's were ready. Most likely given information that they were coming. They had multiple Commanders there and they had Sabo surrounded. Vista, a commander in Whitebeards crew, attacked first with his sword. Sabo blocked the blow with a metal pipe.

Ace and Luffy noticed Sabo surrounded and quickly leaped onto the ship. Ace used his fire to make the people surrounding them spread out. Luffy used his Gatling Gun to beat down the rest. Even with his Observation Haki he had failed to notice the person coming at him from behind, too focused on looking out for his brothers.

Sabo pushed Vista back and went to help his brother. He blocked the attack heading for his younger brother and was now back to back with Luffy. Ace soon made is way over as well, covering for his brothers as he stood with his back to both of them.

Whitebeard was watching from his seat on the deck. Peculiar, he thought, they don't fight like most marines do.They look out for each other, and the two older ones look to be protecting the younger one as well...

Whitebeard was surprised to see the youngest brat. He seemed a bit young to be a Rear-Admiral, the older two as well.

Soon enough the brothers were surrounded, and it seemed as though every time they beat up a group of the Pirates, more would appear. They were getting tired, and one by one they got knocked out.

Sabo was knocked out first by taking a hit for Ace, then Luffy when someone got a surprise attack on him, and lastly Ace when he was pitted against Marco the Phoenix. They fought well against the Whitebeards, but they didn't stand a chance against the whole crew, so their loss was inevitable. Maybe this was the Marines way of getting rid of them?

They were about to be thrown back on the ship they came from, when they heard a noise come from the younger one.

"I'm sorry," Luffy mumbled to his brothers, still knocked out. The crew froze. "Ace...Sabo..." He was rambling in his sleep again, but it was enough to rile his brothers back to consciousness.

"It's ok Lu," Sabo began, quickly forgetting they were surrounded by enemies. The whole crew was silent, not wanting to interrupt.

Ace pulled his youngest brother into a tight embrace, he finished Sabo's sentence for him. "your our little brother, we won't be mad at you over something like this." The brothers soon passed out once again, but the crew was silent. The blatant affection shown between the three of them showed the Whitebeards just how strong the bond of these brothers was.

Brothers, Whitebeard thought. "Tie them to the mast," he began. "They'll be staying for a while."

Someone scurried to grab rope, and they tied the three to the mast with iron rope, lined with sea stone. The crew went back to work, but the same thing was on all of their minds,

Why the hell did the marines send these little brats after us?
