Annabeth P.O.V.
Hi, I'm Annabeth Chase. A mortal. Of course, there isn't anything like a demigod or whatever. But still, I believe that Greek gods are alive. Many people bully me and laugh at me for believing that. As usual, I don't care. Let them laugh, I think. Who cares if they laugh? Well, anyway, today I was at a party - a really noisy one. My friend Thalia, who is one of my best friends and childhood friend, hosted the party. She is pretty popular at school. I think she is one of the most popular. So, I was trying to get out of the party and covering my face with a hood because I was a nerd - even if I was best buds with the most popular person at school.
Life is weird. Very weird.
Anyway, I have a crush on someone... that someone is... no-one. Yay. Not surprising. No one would like me, anyway. So right now I was trying m, to get out of the party when someone grabbed my hand. "Ugh, Thalia, I told you, I don't want to come to any party!" I said without turning to look behind if it was Thalia.
"Uh, I'm sorry, I ain't Thalia," Someone said from behind me. My eyes widened. This wasn't Thalia. I turned around and saw a guy - a guy whose face was covered in a hood, just like mine was. (She had to hide!) "Um, do I know you?" I asked. "No," The guy answered. "But, would you like to dance with me?" I stared at him. I noted that he had sea-green eyes. Startling ones, too. "Sure," I answered. He led me to the dance floor as they began to dance. They chatted a while before I excused herself. I needed to go to the bathroom. When I returned, the guy was sitting at a table. I wanted to ask him his name. "Um, so, what's your name?" I asked.
"I'm sorry," He looked uncomfortable. "I can't tell you my name."
"Why?" I asked.
"Just..." I got the feeling he wasn't going to tell.
"It's alright," I chided.
"Thanks," He smiled. His smile soon disappeared, though. "Uh, I have to go. Sorry," He muttered an apology under his breath and scrambled off.
"Bye?" I said, but it sounded more like a question. I had a question.
Was I ever going to see that mysterious guy again?
Well, that was short. I know, not my type. I've started writing longer chapters. Anyway, I will make a sequel to this. As you all know, this is a one-shot - not a chapter book. So, bye, everyone, see you in my next Fanfic update!
