He ran as fast as his legs would let him. Tress blurred in the edges of his vision, raindrops hitting his face, yet he ran until coming on a clearing. The person came to a sudden stop, his momentum carrying him across the clearing as he skidded on the wet grass.
As soon as he came to a stop someone dropped to the clearing and kept their distance. "Naruto! you will pay for what you did!" The person shouted, his voice filled with hate and betrayal.
"Sasuke, you don't understand! I haven't-" Before Naruto could say anything else, he was interrupted by the Uchiha.
"Shut up! I will bring your head before the Hokage and avenge Shisui!" Without wasting any more time, Sasuke unsheathed his Chokuto and dashed forward. He attacked like a snake, quick and deadly, yet Naruto dodged every attack without any problems.
"You know you can't defeat me!" the blond shouted and jumped back.
"Then killing you will be the last thing I do!"
'Shit, at this rate they are going to catch up. I need to end this quick,' the blond thought with slight distress and reached for the katana hanging at his waist. "I'm sorry Sasuke, but I can't die yet," he muttered under his breath, yet the Uchiha heard him and got even madder.
"Naruto!" Sasuke screamed and pushed chakra in every muscle in his body. His Chokuto surged with Raiton Chakra, ready to pierce the blond traitor.
Naruto waited for Sasuke to attack him, his left thumb pushed the Katana out, his right hand holding on the handle. When the dark-haired Ninja was halfway to him, the blond's sword started whining a white, almost ethereal light. The light quickly started to shine around the blond, bathing his body in a flame-like aura.
'Remember, Naruto, this blade is powerful, more than any sword in the elemental nations, but at the same time, it is a great burden. Once you draw this sword on anyone, the chances of their survival are minuscule, use it wisely'
Those words ring in the blond's head as the Uchiha closed the distance and at the very last moment, Naruto surged forth. He was nothing more than a blur to Sasuke's onyx eyes.
A second has passed and the blond was behind the Uchiha, his Katana in a striking position. A single drop of blood fell together with the rain and landed on the wet grass. A moment later Sasuke fell to his knees, blood spraying from the grievous wounds on his chest.
Naruto took a single step before he felt something hot spilling into his right eye. He reached out to see what it was and his eyes widened when he saw blood coming from a wound above his eye. Quickly angling his peerless sword, he looked at his reflection and saw a vertical injury going upward from his eyebrow.
He got startled by shouts from where Sasuke came from and without wasting any more time, he started running again. As he passed the Uchiha, he saw him barely hanging on consciousness, looking at him with endless hatred.
What shocked the blond the most was the sudden change of the Uchiha's eyes into bloody red with a tomoe in each. Just as he vanished behind the trees, a group of people jumped on the clearing and quickly ran to the Uchiha.
Yo, back in action with another story. had a burst of motivation at 3 am and decided to write something and here we are. I have some plans for the story and it might be the one I will stick with for now.
the chapter is kinda short, actually very short but I want to stop it right there since it seemed the right moment to stop. You might be wondering what is happening? Well, it's an AU and naruto is slightly OC for now.
it will be stated in the next chapter but just for reference, Konoha twelve are older than in Canon, they are 17 and 18 just so you know.
Hopefully, someone will read this, I will try to update soon, so if you like the premise of what's happening wait cuz I got some ideas.
The story won't be following cannon and expect many crossovers, whether techniques, characters,or locations.
