/Hey Guys, this is your local nerdy boi writing out his first fanfiction. Currently I've been on the hunt for more Punkblade fanfics but I've noticed there hasn't been a lot any on here, . So I've decided to take the liberty write one of my own for you amazing folks out there! I've written many stories in the past and once tried to write on here but I decided that it didn't quite fit the bill here, since it was just a personal story. Anyway, I'm stalling and let's get onto the story! This story takes place a few years after the events of Sword Shield, so the ages of each characters is somewhere around their early to maybe mid-20s, FYI. This story will also be told in Third-Person Omniscient as well. If you are wondering what our favorite lovebirds would look like, just reference the cover! Enjoy!/

Marnie couldn't help but to stop and stare at him. Sitting next to her was her own personal hero, someone she held dear to her. It was none other than the undefeated Galarian champion, Victor. And she couldn't stop staring at him.

The pair was currently at his local hometown, a tiny farming community called Postwick. Victor's best friend, a man that Marnie knew all too well during their days of adventure, Professor Hop had invited not only the pair to his house, which he was celebrating his recent engagement with Victor's sister, Gloria.

Normally, If Marnie had never met the Postwick trio, she would've never had the chance to not only experience the joys of friendship but as well as start coming out of her old, cold, introvertic shell. Marnie was never one for events but thanks to Victor, she learned how to finally embrace herself and take pride in who she was but as well as learn to smile officially. Marnie was thankful for the day Victor accidently (and maybe a bit rudely) entered the room where she was practicing her smile. Flustered and embarassed, she had tried to run out of the room in a blushing hurry, but Victor had quickly blocked the door. He apologized politely and helped comfort her that she was amazing in her own way, even if she had a fake smile and that he wanted to help support her in any way he could. Not only did he helped her made her feel like flawless but as well as helped her hometown, her urban Spikemuth. Not only did he made Spikemuth a glorious city of lights but a place where even normal battling can be exciting and fun. Spikemuth held a great future ahead and now that her older brother Pier's fanclub now helped The Gym Challenge as counsel and security for any trainer earning fame, It was no wonder why Victor held a nice spot in her heart.

But best of all, He loved her for who she was; She was his champion, his hero, his dear friend and the love of his life.

And There he was, enjoying the bathing of the warm sun, shine upon him. His eyes were closed and was smiling away.

He knew she was admiring the view and was getting something amazing he considered the best thing in the world.

He opened his eyes and looked right at her, a beauty that remained everything about him. Her long, shiny black hair, her gorgeous, jade-crystal eyes shined brightly in the sun and her ruby-red lips made her stunning as ever. She was his dreams, his happiness, his pure love.

She had noticed him, staring right back at him and smiled dearly.

"Had a good nap?", she asked.

Victor smiled at her and chuckled. "Didn't nap at all really. Just couldn't help but to see, a smile worth everything."

No matter how hard she tried not to, that line always made her smile. It was his signature line about her. All those talks late at night, through FaceTimes and their dates, he always said that line towards the end of their time together. He really knew how to make her smile. It was no wonder that the two made a great couple.

She was close enough to make him smile. Something she always succeeded at. And the best way she did it was by kissing him.

So close... yet so far away he seemed to be and it just seemed always faraway their lips seemed to be...

"OY! VICTOR! WHERE YOU FOOKING AT?!"

Following pursuit from behind was Gloria's Inteleon, Hop and the ever so modest Bede, Ballonlea's current gym leader. Although he didn't look like he wanted to be with them, they all knew he enjoyed their company, especially around Gloria's wild antics and Hop's hyperactive nature. Marnie could help but to laugh alongside with her Morpeko. Gloria had caught the two of them alone and didn't want them to be left out of their party.

After calming Gloria down, the party decided to go to Wedgehurst for Castelia Cones, all the way from Unova. Walking behind from the loving couple and Bede being his grumpy self, Victor and Marnie couldn't help but to smile at their best friends. Victor's Cinderace had always raced ahead against Hop's Rillaboom and Inteleon wanted to stay with Gloria. Everything was all good.

And it was even better for Victor and Marnie, who held their hands closely to one another.

And Her smile... was worth everything.

[And there it is folks! I know it wasn't much but still, I felt like writing a nice Punkblade one-shot. Apologies for any grammatical errors I've made and how short this story was but if anyone is interested enough, I will be making a Punkblade shipping story in the near future. I would like to thank you all for taking the time out of your day to read my one-shot. If you've liked it, go ahead and let me know! If you didn't, that's fine as well! Let me know why so I could improve! But once again, thanks for reading this! Have a great day and be safe out there! Owen out!]
