What happens when you die?
Some people think that it's judgement. Heaven if you're good, hell if you're bad and some other place if you are just angh or need to get your soul cleaned or whatever.
Others think that there's reincarnation coming back in some other form to begin a new life. Of course that new life won't necessarily be as a human.
Option number three is that you simply cease to exist, upon death there's nothing. No paradise, no flames, burning oil or politicians with horns, spiked tails, and pitchforks. All there is is emptiness, a void. A thing where you don't even have a consciousness because there's nothing.
There's tons of other beliefs of course. Some think life is a simulation and death is just the end of the game like it was shown in that one episode of Rick and Morty. Others think that upon death you ascend to an alien spaceship or become a noodle in the body of the flying Spaghetti Monster.
Then there are those who believe that if you get hit by a certain truck you'll meet god before going to a parallel world with superpowers. You'll then proceed to save said world from a demon lord and get either the princess or a harem as a reward. Alternatively you could be reborn and become a demon lord, setting out to conquer the world and wage war in the name of evil. Third option is you get reincarnated as an average villager named Sam with nothing special about you. Or you could be a wolf, monster, whatever, main point is you were reborn in another world and kept your memories.
No one knows for certain what happens upon death and honestly I'm not qualified to say because, well, my death was about as far from ordinary as you can get.
I died from a bullet.
Not exactly uncommon in the modern day and age if you consider soldiers, terrorists, robbers, and muggings but still not exactly the most common way to go either. What might make my death a little stranger was the fact that the person who killed me wasn't intending to shoot me. Still not the craziest possibility you might say, he could have been aiming for the person beside me. No, no he was not.
I was killed by a bank robber shooting at cops while leaning out the window of a stolen van in the middle of a high speed police chase like this was GTA V or some blockbuster action movie. Said bullet bounced off a street post, went through my window, reflected off a candlestick in the kitchen, went through a closed door and shower curtain.
At this point the bullet was nothing more than a misshapen miniscule mass of metal the size of a bobby pin. However said piece of scrap was still enough to hit my leg and create enough pain so as to cause me to stumble.
Stumbling it should be noted is not deadly in and of itself. In fact it can be quite eye opening, stumbling into a friend and realizing you love them. Stumbling into a room drunk to find your best mate in bed with your sister. Yep stumbling, not the worst thing in the world.
However stumbling in the shower can be deadly. I, unfortunately, serve as a prime example of this as when I stumbled I slipped due to the tub being wet because I was showering, duh, and fell backwards. My head hit the metal bathtub faucet and I was dead.
Yep, such a great way to die. I'm certain Leonidas, Horatius Cocles, and 'Mad Jack' Churchill are just tripping over themselves to take my spot.
When it comes to death I honestly didn't have a lot of expectations. Sure my parents had been religious but I was more of a shoulder shrug than a church every Sunday guy. I just figured I'd live my life the best I can and whatever happened, well, happened. Sure if I had a say I'd go isekai but can you blame me?
Playing the harp on a cloud for the rest of eternity with a permanent night light floating over my head just doesn't sound like the best afterlife and while I might be a sadist I firmly prefer to be on top so being tortured for the rest of eternity is something I would unfortunately have to pass on. I had no intention of spending the next twenty lifetimes working my way up from garden snail to human so that option was out and frankly the idea of nothingness, just ceasing to existence just seemed wrong on a basic primal level. That left isekai and being reborn in another world.
Now I'm no saint, I've lied, cheated, stolen, and frankly lusted after most women I see. I watched Netlifx, and anime for free on 9anime instead of paying for things like subscriptions to support the creators. I read manga, books, and fanfictions, heck I even wrote some. I had a family and a few people that were more acquaintances than friends.
I was human, I sinned, indulged in worldly pleasures, and tried to do right when I could. Sure I was no saint but I wasn't a serial killer either. I was just sadistic, arrogant, lustful, and a self-labelled sociopath that never had a real human connection. I saw people as pieces I could use and manipulate for my own gain.
So when death found me on a Friday the day I graduated high school I did what any normal eighteen year old teenager would do when they woke up naked in a seemingly endless plain of mist that stretched as far as the eye could see. I cussed and proceeded to curse God, Satan, and every other deity I could remember from Campione or was written about by Rick Riordan in one of his books paying particular attention to Zeus for being a horny bastard and Athena for being a bitch (so I was biased, sue me I was dead).
Why was I so mad you might ask? I'd already ranted about how boring life was so shouldn't I be happy I was dead. Two words, senior year. Thinking about all the time wasted in classes and on scholarships I would never have the chance to use made me slightly peeved to say the least.
After going on for a good three minutes about the unfairness of it all I focused on my surroundings. I was naked and I was on an endless plain with pea soup level mist at knee height. There was no sky and what you could call a sky if you squinted really hard, and might be slightly blind in both your eyes was a solid grey mass of 'clouds'. Please note the uncertainty and quotation marks around the word.
Oh, also there were six other people in the plain with me also naked. For a moment I wondered how they'd gotten there but then I shrugged it off; they'd probably come the same way I had, whatever that was. Their faces were blurry but from their body type I could tell that three were male while three were female. Of the males two appeared similar to me, lean, and athletic while the third was taller and more muscular built not like a linebacker but rather like a quarterback.
The females on the other hand were vastly different from each other; one had a figure that made me literally start drooling with massive inhuman breasts, a slim waist, and a badonkadonk that embodied the phrase 'junk in the trunk'.
The second was average in every way you looked at it. From her hairstyle to her body she seemed to fit the role of mob character perfectly. Everything about her made her fade in the background and that more than anything made me focus my attention on her. Anyone who could do that and on purpose no less was suspicious and I made a mental note to keep an eye on her.
The third was a child. She legitimately looked to be around eight years old and as a result I quickly looked away. Pervert I might be but a pedo I was not. 'Whoever stripped a loli nude has some serious issues,' I thought to myself, making another mental note to look out for the tiny girl. Just because I wasn't a pedophile didn't mean one of the other five wasn't.
Just as I finished analyzing those around me I a pop up ad appeared right in front of my face.
Congratulations, you are one of seven lucky humans selected to participate in Ragnarok. The almighty god #%(*# has grown bored with the universe and in an effort to appease it he has decided to hold a contest between seven humans for his own amusement.
These humans shall each be granted a multiverse to grow in power and ability all in an effort to emerge victorious. The one who wins and provides the greatest amusement to #%(*# shall be granted great power and abilities as well as a multiverse of their own to rule over as a god within which #%(*# shall not interfere. However there can only be one winner, the rest must perish.
...Wow. Okay lot's of information here, really important plot backstory kind of stuff.
Main takeaways:
I'm getting isekaid; FUCK YEAH!
I'm in a battle royal to the death that's eerily similar to Future Diary; slightly concerning if there's a Yuno here but highly unlikely.
I can get everything I ever wanted and dreamed about; cool. I HAVE to win.
Anyway omnipresent god that I now know is real and totally don't have an irrational fear of disintegrating me for being a smart aleck; what's next? As if in response to my question the pop up reappeared.
Now that you have all calmed down the details of the game will be explained. You have all been chosen for this game based on the fact that you are all pieces of shit or rather you are all humans that embody one or more of what are commonly called the seven deadly sins.
Each of you has been given a power that relates to your sin and is unique to you. Use this power to assist you in the contest. Please note that just like other skills and abilities your unique skill is capable of levelling up and evolving.
We will now proceed to world selection after which you will all create your characters. Know that dying in your world will result in your removal from the game as well as forfeiture of all powers and abilities. Best of luck Sins.
With that the pop up vanished and in front of me appeared a giant wheel. There were dozens of spaces each labelled with different worlds from video games, to books, to movies. Star Wars to Saw, Game of Thrones to Reckoners, Attack on Titan to Shokugeki no Souma, God of War to Rainbow Six Siege, everything had a place on the wheel.
A grey space caught my attention and I noticed that Jujutsu Kaisen had been blacked out. Looking around I saw that the quarterback look alike had disappeared and as I watched the average looking girl poofed away as well. Turning back to the board I noticed that High School DxD was gone as well. Shit, that was one I wouldn't mind going to some of those women were fucking stacked. Fearing that I could lose another good world if I waited any longer I spun my wheel which went round and around before settling squarely on… Kimetsu no Yaiba.
So I was going to the world of demon slayers huh, not the worst option all things considered especially since there was God of War, HALO, anc COD on the wheel. Those worlds might sound cool to go to but first person shooters tend to have a high mortality rate when it comes to your avatar and Kratos was built to kill, well, everything. At least in Kimetsu no Yaiba the only things I had to watch out for were demons and demon slayers depending on how I played my cards and whether I was a human or demon. Plus I'd watched the anime, and the train movie as well as looked at the wiki. I might not remember everything but I believed I knew enough to get by. Speaking of which another pop up appeared in front of me.
Congratulations on getting a normal ranked world: unlike other worlds your race has automatically been set to human. Please acknowledge to move on.
I immediately thought next and the pop up responded moving on to a what looked like a character design page with a normal looking human on the left side of the page and options to customize it on the right. The page was even labelled 'Character Customization' for those with below average intelligence.
Gender: Male, Female, Androgynous
Mhmm, I'll go with male. After all this wasn't a world where I was guaranteed some action and I was firmly interested in females thank you very much.
Heights: 5' 0"
I'll go with 5'10" not too tall, not too short.
Weights: 150 lbs
Better go with 140 lbs, I've always been built more for agility and speed than raw strength anyway.
Age:
Eighteen, that's what I was when I died and I'd rather be eighteen for however long I have left rather than seventeen. as I set my age another pop up appeared:
Note that upon reaching the age set you will stop aging from that point onwards and will permanently possess your created character's appearance. Aging from that point onwards can only be done due to a skill or ability.
So I'm biologically immortal now, great.
Skin Tone:
This one was more difficult. I'd always wanted a tan but my pale skin had never given me the chance. However now that I was given the option to change it I didn't want to. After a moment of deliberation I finally settled on going with my pale, white skin. It was a part of me.
Hair Color:
White. White, white, white, white, white. With black highlights for some of the strands on the left side just over my forehead.
Hair Style:
This one was harder, there were tons of options from Saitama's bald head to Yugi's crazy hair from Yu-Gi-Oh. I eventually settled on one similar to Meliodas just without the cowlick on top. Anime hair that would make me unique but wasn't completely stupid looking.
Eyes:
Heterochromia because it was cool. Left eye the color of lava, red with orange dots that seemed to shift and scream violence. Right eye azure blue, the color of a carribean sea. I'm all about those contradictions.
Face:
Aristocratic features, square jaw, high cheekbones, smooth skin, you know, the works. Thin black eyebrows because white would look weird and clean shaven because stubble was annoying as all get out and made your chest itch when you put your head down.
Body:
This was easier, it was just asking how I wanted to be built and similar to when I was alive I went slim but muscular although I made sure to give myself a defined six pack and muscles, once again making me look similar to Meliodas. I also gave myself some sharper canines, a longer tongue, and a dick that looked like it could satisfy Issei's entire harem and then some.
Scars/Wounds;
Oohhh, interesting. Scars could really add character and would go a long way in making me look tough but on the other hand they could ruin my looks. I eventually decided to go with Ban's scar from Seven Deadly Sins on the left side of my jaw and neck, it felt appropriate given the situation, as well as the Kiznaiver scar although I switched it to the inside of my right wrist instead of my left. I'd always just thought that that one looked cool.
Tattoos:
I was very tempted to get a massive eastern dragon on my back but I decided to pass. I already had scars, tattoos could very well push me into having a delinquent appearance which would only hurt my charisma. Plus Kimetsu no Yaiba was set a few centuries in the past when tattoos were for criminals. Tattoos, while cool could only hurt me. Angh maybe next time.
Please confirm your selection, you will be unable to change this later. Note that your appearance will affect your starting charisma.
Yes, please.
Confirmed, please say or think the word stats to begin the next step.
Quickly thinking 'stats' I couldn't stop the grin that spread across my face when the screen appeared in front of me.

For a moment I stared at the screen, didn't my ability seem a bit, well broken? Although I guess it wasn't since everything I stole would be set to level one. Still if this meant I had a chance to learn Blood Demon Arts as a human I would take it. I did note that the only stat that actually had anything in it was charisma, likely due to my appearance.
However I wanted to start my adventure so I quickly distributed my stats making an effort to keep it somewhat even while paying special attention to vitality, strength, and endurance. When I was done I reviewed it with a smile before thinking next.
Please choose a first name, your last name has been chosen by #%(*#.
I didn't really care just go with Dante, he killed demons and we had similar hair so it worked.
Confirmed. Congratulations Dante Mammon, and best of luck in Ragnarok. May the gods look down on you with a smile.
Wait, gods as in plural?
Then everything went white as my body crumpled to ash.

Author's Note:
So another day another new story. This one was inspired by A Trashy Writer's Gamer : General Degeneracy or alternatively you can just search 'gamer sloth' in the fanfiction search bar if you're interested in reading it. Anyway this story is likely to be part of a seven way series in other words one story but with seven different perspectives allowing you to see each sin's point of view and follow along as they explore different worlds. This is probably the most ambitious project I have planned so be warned that updates are, uncertain to say the least.
In other news tell me what unique ability you think would suit the other sins and what worlds you'd like to see them conquer. I have my own plans but like always I'm interested in your guys input. So make sure to leave a comment or review below as those not only help me to create better stories but inspire me to keep writing for you guys, the readers.
Anyway until next time this is the Fallen Evil God signing off,
D'yavol Lucifer 3:)

If you're interested draw something up and pm me so I can send you the details on where to send it or pm me and I'll give you some details so you can draw one. As I say in my bio if I use it I may add you as an oc in one of my stories! Isn't that exciting!
