"Mandy! Come on, baby, we're late!" Olivia called out, picking up her purse and car keys.
"Mama, do I really get to play with Dani all day?" Amanda smiled excitedly, running to Mama's side when she heard Mama calling for her.
"Yes, you get to play with Dani all day today. We're going to get her and her Daddy will pick her up after dinner. Come on, we have to go now." Olivia held out her hand for Little Mandy to take.
Little Mandy chattered innocently as she walked with Mama down to the car. Mama leaned in to buckle Amanda's seatbelt. Amanda smiled when Mama kissed her forehead and giggled when Mama tickled her belly. Olivia drove for a few minutes and pulled the car up in front of a house. She helped Little Mandy out of the car and the two of them walked up to the house and rang the doorbell. Somewhere in the distance, a dog barked and a police car siren blared.
"Thanks for looking after Dani on such short notice, Liv." Dani's Daddy, Trevor, answered the door in the middle of putting on his tie.
"Not a problem at all. I owed you a favor since you looked after Mandy for me last month." Olivia smiled.
"Hi, Mr. Trevor. I have new shoes." Amanda showed off her new pink tennis shoes.
"Hi, Mandy. Those are very pretty shoes. Dani! Let's go, sweetie! Daddy's going to be late for work!" Trevor called out.
Little Mandy and Dani squealed in delight when they laid eyes on each other and hugged happily.
"Dani, be a good girl for Ms. Olivia today and remember what Daddy said."
"Yes, Daddy. If I'm naughty, Ms. Olivia will spank me." Dani replied obediently.
"Good girl. Daddy will pick you up at 6:30. Have a fun day. I love you." Trevor kissed Dani's nose, making Dani wrinkle her nose cutely and giggle.
"I love you too, Daddy."
"Dani, honey, Mandy hasn't had breakfast yet. Have you eaten?" Olivia asked as she loaded the girls into the car.
"I had toast and tea with my medication, but I'm still hungry." Dani replied.
"All right, then the first thing we do is find breakfast. Anybody in the mood for Ihop?"
"Yay!" Amanda and Dani cheered happily.
"I'll take that as a yes." Olivia smiled.
Little Mandy and Dani giggled quietly and colored on their placemats as they sat at the booth waiting for the waitress to arrive.
"Mandy, do you want your usual, baby girl?" Olivia inquired.
"Yes, Mama."
"Dani, what would you like?"
"Can I have blueberry pancakes with sausage and chocolate milk?" Dani asked, reaching for the red crayon that had rolled across the table.
"Yes, if that's what you would like. Sit down properly, sweetheart." Olivia handed Dani the crayon.
"May I take your order?" The waitress asked with a pleasant smile, her pad and pen in her hand poised to write.
"Yes, we'll have cinnamon french toast with scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes with sausage, two chocolate milks, a cheese omelet with bacon, and a coffee, please." Olivia said.
"Coming right up." The waitress wrote down their order and hurried away.
After breakfast, Little Mandy and Dani received praise for being good girls in the restaurant. Olivia hoped that they could get through the rest of the day without anyone needing to be spanked or sent to the time-out chair. Once they were home, Amanda and Dani took Frannie and disappeared into Amanda's room to play. Little Mandy reappeared once and asked Mama to change her diaper, and then went right back to playing. After lunch, Olivia put both girls down for a nap despite their protests.
"Are you tired?" Dani asked, lying next to Amanda on her bed.
"No."
"Me neither. Do you wanna get some of your Mama's nail polish and do our nails?" Dani suggested. She had seen Olivia's collection of nail polish.
"We have to ask first. Last time I used her nail polish without permission, I made a huge mess and got spanked." Amanda replied, remembering the spanking she had gotten.
"If we asked, do you think she would let us?"
"Maybe. We can ask, but if we ask right now she'll just say no and send us back to bed, so we better wait until she says we can get up."
Outside the bedroom door, Olivia smiled, having overheard the entire conversation. When naptime was over, she surprised the girls by being the first to suggest painting their nails before they even had the chance to ask her. Little Mandy chose bright blue polish that matched her eyes while Dani chose to alternate between black and white on each nail.
"Your nails look like Cruella Deville's hair!" Little Mandy giggled.
"I was Cruella for Halloween last year. I don't know what I'm going to be this year." Dani replied.
"Me neither. Mama, can we watch Balto? Dani's never seen it." Little Mandy asked.
"What's the magic word?"
"Please!"
Olivia set the girls up with the movie and popcorn. When her phone rang, she went down the hall to answer it. When she returned about fifteen minutes later, her jaw nearly hit the floor when she found the girls laughing and having a food fight, throwing the popcorn back and forth.
"Girls!" Olivia put her hands on her hips, using a stern tone.
Amanda and Dani froze, their eyes wide.
"Pause the movie and clean up this mess. I know two little girls who need to sit in time-out."
Olivia put Amanda in her usual time-out chair and put another chair in another corner for Dani. As usual, Olivia stayed right behind Amanda the whole time. When it was over, Olivia hugged both of the girls, giving Amanda an extra squeeze.
"How come your Mama stayed behind you while we were in the corner?" Dani asked curiously.
"She always does that. Sometimes I get really scared in the corner. When I was a kid my mom would leave me there for hours. Sometimes I would fall asleep and forget why I was in the corner, then my dad would beat me with his strap."
"Oh. I'm sorry." Dani looked sad.
"Do you wanna finish the movie?" Little Mandy changed the subject.
"Sure. I like it." Dani agreed.
When the movie was over, Amanda and Dani quickly grew bored. The day had been a lot of fun, but Little Mandy was ready for Dani to go home so she could have her Mama to herself again. It was hard sharing Mama's attention, even if Dani was her best friend. Unfortunately, it would still be a few hours until Dani's Daddy came to pick her up. Little Mandy and Dani ended up rolling around on the floor, thoroughly annoyed with one another after yet another disagreement about which board game to play.
"OW!" Dani yelped.
"What on earth is going on in here?" Olivia hurried over to break them up.
"She bit me!" Dani accused.
"She pulled my hair!" Little Mandy whined.
"You started it!"
"I did not!"
"Girls, I don't care who started it. Up off the floor, both of you." Olivia ordered sternly.
Olivia examined Dani's finger where Little Mandy had bitten her and examined Little Mandy's head and neck where Dani had pulled her hair. Neither little one was injured and Olivia launched into a lecture about fighting. Little Mandy and Dani both gasped when the word 'spanking' was brought up.
"But, Mama, Dani and I can be friends again!" Little Mandy assured her.
"Yeah, we won't fight anymore!" Dani promised.
"Glad to hear it, but I'm afraid you're both still getting spankings. Go to Mandy's room and I'll be there in a minute." Olivia swatted their bottoms to get them moving in the right direction.
"Does your Mama spank hard?" Dani asked nervously. They hadn't been told to sit in the corner again, so they sat on the bed to wait.
"Hard enough. She usually just uses her hand, but sometimes if I'm really naughty she uses the wooden spoon." Amanda explained.
"My Daddy's going to kill me." Dani pouted. Daddy always punished her again if she got in trouble at a friend's house.
"Maybe we can convince my Mama not to tell him."
"Even if she didn't tell him, he'd see my red bottom when he gives me my bath tonight." Dani pointed out.
"Oh, yeah." Amanda hadn't considered that.
"I'll be okay. It's not like I haven't been spanked lots of times before."
Both girls looked up when Olivia walked in the room holding the wooden spoon. Amanda's lower lip trembled, but she had expected it.
"Mandy, go sit in the corner. I'm going to spank Dani, then it will be your turn." Olivia sat down on the bed.
Little Mandy obediently sat on the time-out chair, not quite sure if not having to go first was a blessing or a curse. She began to cry as she listened to Dani cry, feeling horrible that her friend was in trouble. It seemed to go on forever, but finally it was over. Olivia held and comforted Dani and gave her arnica, then when Dani stopped crying it was time for the girls to switch places, though she didn't make Dani sit on the chair. Dani stood in the corner and rubbed her bottom while Little Mandy walked over to her Mama. Olivia saw that Little Mandy was already crying and wiped her tears away.
"Do you understand why you're getting spanked, baby girl?"
"Yes, Mama. Because Dani and I were fighting. I'm sorry." Amanda sniffled.
"I know, sweetie. Mama's not mad. Let's get this over with." Olivia pulled down Little Mandy's pants and diaper.
Little Mandy cried and sobbed as the wooden spoon punished her naughty bottom. She did her best not to wriggle too much and accept her spanking like a good girl. It would be over faster if she didn't fight Mama. Amanda didn't even realize it was over until she felt Mama rubbing arnica onto her bottom. Then Mama picked her up to cuddle her until she stopped crying. With puffy eyes and red bottoms, Little Mandy and Dani hugged and were friends again.
"Mama, do you have to tell Dani's Daddy what happened?" Little Mandy asked.
"I told you, even if she didn't tell him, he'd find out anyway." Dani said.
Little Mandy pouted, not liking the idea that her friend was going to get spanked again.
"I do have to tell him what happened, but I'll tell him that as far as I'm concerned it's over and forgiven, and maybe that will help." Olivia said.
"I really am sorry, Ms. Olivia." Dani apologized again.
"Me too, Mama." Little Mandy reached back to rub her bottom.
"I know you're sorry, babies. You were both very brave girls for me and I'm very proud of you. Dani's Daddy will be here in about two hours, so let's go make dinner. I'm making spaghetti tonight."
After Dani left, Little Mandy was practically falling asleep in the tub during her bath, exhausted from the day. Dani did get another spanking, but only a hand spanking since she had already been spanked with the wooden spoon. Mama read Little Mandy a story, tucked her into bed, kissed her goodnight, and turned off the light. Little Mandy was asleep before Mama even left the room.
