Blue swirled around the painted walls, and she stared at the delicately swaddled baby boy.
Izumo crouched down and smiled at her little boy, carefully pulling him into her arms, and cradling him, safe and sound there.
Bon smiled as he stared at his beautiful family that went from two to three in what he could only describe as a blur and a bit of a strangely slow one. It had felt like years had happened in the span of a little over a year, but also as if time had slowed to an absolute stand still, and he still wasn't used to it.
But yet, it felt right. It felt right to reach out and hug his wife and stare down at their son in her arms, and maybe all of this will be a blur one day too, but in a moment, Bon feels like it's the happiest roller coaster ride of his life, quick and fast, with all of the right turns. Even if sometimes they nearly go careening off the track; it doesn't take any of this joy away.
And when their son peeks open eyes, still so shyly, all Bon can see is his wife in their boy, the little squirt will probably be all kinds of crazy one day, but even so, Bon can't help but smile at his baby boy and cherish his very uniqueness.
