At the bridge leaving Ryme City

Coach looks toward a long stone bridge that leads to gentle fields and pockets of forests. They are thinking of leaving Ryme City, for good.

"I guess… this is it."

They keep being reminded of their old friends here, despite said friends not being able to remember a thing about them. They remember when they met, and the countless adventures throughout the many regions they explored.

"I should to go. Its… probably better that they don't see me. Everyone will be safe."

That's the rationale, right? Because Coach remembers the trouble they caused, and the terrible moment where their friends almost gave up their lives to protect a scared, weak human.

The memories were making it incredibly painful, but the thought of leaving was not much of a relief either.

"Then… why can't I move?" They ask out loud, as if the answer was going to jump out at them. They glance to their right, over the railing to see the beautiful fields meeting the city limits. They lean over and stare for a bit, until the sound of wings flapping gently snaps them out of their momentary zen.

They turn to find a Honchkrow perched to their left along the railing, seemingly oblivious to Coach's presence as it preens its wings.

"Oh, hello there." The bird Pokémon greets, sounding quite nonchalant. "Hope you don't mind. I've been travelling for some time, and I just needed to give my wings a rest."

Coach doesn't say anything, but is nonetheless intrigued by the large creature. They've never seen one so up close before.

The weary Pokémon stretches it's massive wings, then looks at the curious Coach, "You're a human, right? I've never seen one so up close before."

"Huh? Oh, uh, yeah." Coach answers, becoming used to the fact that they are a rare sight, even in a big city like this.

"Hmm, you don't say." The lofty bird Pokémon exclaims, then looks out towards the view of the city.

"I heard rumours that a human was travelling across the regions," he continues. "But I didn't think much of it. Rumours can be so silly, you know!"

"Heh, yeah." Coach replied. It was odd, but they felt slightly relieved to have small chitchat with someone.

"I even heard… that a human was travelling with a group of fighting types!" The shady-looking bird quips, chuckling at the thought.

Upon hearing that comment, Coach looks at the bird Pokémon, wondering where this conversation is going. The Honchkrow looks toward Coach, revealing its scheming eyes under its fedora-like crest. "But… I guess that's not the case anymore, is it?"

There's a palpable stillness in the air. Coach then dares to break that silence, and begins to back away. "Um, so it was nice talking with y—"

Before they can finish the sentence, they bump into something solid behind them. Coach turns to find an Obstagoon, arms crossed in front, towering over them. The large Pokémon growls and snaps at the wide-eyed human, cackling as they barely miss Coach's face. Taken by surprise, Coach land backwards and see the Obstagoon flanked on both sides by a Bisharp and Aggron.

"You have no idea how long I've traveled, just to find you." The Honchkrow explains. "Let's not make this difficult." The shadows move closer, engulfing Coach. Before they couldn't decide if they should leave. It seems now, they won't have a choice.

"I guess… this is it."
