"Love, are you ready?" Draco asked Astoria, as she finished putting her shoes on.
She grabbed her purse and hurried along to the door, excited that he had agreed to explore Muggle London with her.
"Yes, let's go!"
"Did you get the umbrella?" he asked.
"Yes, I did."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course I am!"
Draco stared at her accusingly.
"Tori, please check your bag again to make sure you put the umbrella in this time?"
She huffed. "Honestly, I find your lack of faith disturbing."
"Alright, then," he shrugged, taking her hand. "Let's get going."
They Apparated to a silent and empty alley, and, as soon as Draco pocketed his wand, Astoria took the lead guiding them through streets, and in and out of shops. She pointed excitedly to every little thing that she found interesting, and it was clear to her that Draco was more interested in staring adoringly at her than actually paying attention to what she was talking about.
Halfway through the afternoon, the drops of rain started hitting them on the shoulder and heads. Astoria shuffled through her purse, as Draco hid her from the eyes of Muggles who would undoubtedly have questions if they saw how deep her arm was in that tiny purse. She moved her hand frantically, and tried to summon the umbrella, but nothing came.
Astoria looked at Draco guiltily. "It turns out that I didn't get the umbrella."
Draco suddenly had a funny expression on his face. It was a mix of exasperation and sudden realization.
"What is it?" Astoria asked.
"I'm married to Neville Longbottom," he deadpanned.
Astoria laughed and hit him in the shoulder. He shook his head resigned, and reached inside his magically enlarged coat pocket to take out a black umbrella. He rolled his eyes, and wrapping a hand around her shoulders, he pulled her closer and away from the rain.
The thing is, Astoria didn't have to remember anything, because she could always count on him to take care of her.
