Hi, I'm Lu and this is my first fanfiction. I'm sorry for the potential mistakes, English is not my birth language and I don't have a beta. I would appreciate any feedback in order to know if you like the story and how I can get better at writing it.

Rachel Berry is a music teacher who really enjoys playing tennis. Especially when a gorgeous woman joins her club.
Rachel Berry was a music teacher. For a long time she thought that she wanted to be a star -a Broadway star-. However, when she finally achieved her dream, being cast as the lead in Funny girl, she understood that it was not for her. The little diva realized that she only wanted to be a star to be loved by her fans, but she already had a lot of love in her life, from her fathers and friends. Eventually she understood that teaching was her thing and she ended up getting a teaching job at NYADA.
She lived in a comfy flat in New York and she usually spends her weekends with her friends Kurt and Mercedes or grading some music theory papers -that's why she always prefers the practice-. Rachel wasn't dating anyone, she felt lonely sometimes, like something -or rather someone- was missing, but she doesn't know what she was looking for.
However her new hobby was tennis. At first it was Kurt's idea to enrol in the MT tennis club. He claims that he wanted to get closer to a cute colleague from Vogue so he has dragged her and Mercedes along. Rachel turned out to be pretty good at tennis and she loved winning, so the Friday practice was something she was looking for each week. And it was Friday.
She arrives early at the club. She knew that Mercedes and Kurt would be late, they didn't care about the sport, they just wanted to watch good-looking guys. The changing room was usually empty at this time so Rachel was really surprised to see a woman that she hasn't seen before. And what a woman! She was gorgeous with her long curled black hair. And damn those arms. The other girl was wearing a sport bra and damn those abs and-
"Hi?" she said, she obviously caught Rachel staring
"H-Hi I'm-m Rachel. I'm Rachel. Yeah Rachel that's me, that's my name" God kill me right now "Are you new here ? I haven't seen you before" The girl was clearly amused by Rachel's embarrassment.
"Yeah kinda" The other woman answered before leaving the room.
What did she mean "kinda" ? How was it even possible to be "kinda new"? And that was rude, wasn't it? Rachel decides that she doesn't like the other woman. She couldn't deny being attracted to her, but she was often attracted by other women. Even though they don't necessarily look that hot and -ugh I need to think about something else, Tennis, ball, sport bra girl, racket, changing room girl, winning, winning this girl heart -WHAT?.
Once she had cleared her thoughts Rachel found her way to the Tennis area. She spotted Blaine -The cute boy from Vogue-.
"Hi Blaine! I hope you're having a great day. I really do. See I saw a beautiful girl in the changing room. I think she's new. Maybe we can teach her how to play. Or maybe not. No, I don't want to seem like a creep seeking attention. I'm going to act uninterested and mysterious to catch her attention"
"Hello to you too Rachel" he chuckles "I don't think you're capable of acting mysterious or uninterested"
Rachel raises an eyebrow "What do you mean? I'm a very talented actress. I was the lead on Funny Girl you know" He definitely knew, Rachel was almost incapable of having a conversation without mentioning her Magical Broadway time of her life.
They started doing their warm up before playing a few games waiting for Mercedes and Kurt to join them. Rachel was winning. She thought that was because she was a very talented tennis player. But Blaine was a way better player, he just knew that Rachel was annoying when she lost. Rachel was glancing at the mysterious woman, she was talking with the instructor. She hadn't touched a racquet yet.
"RACHEL HAVE YOU SEEN THE WOMAN WHO'S TALKING TO THE INSTRUCTOR?" Yelled Kurt why running toward Blaine and her.
"You need to ask her out, she's perfect for you. I mean I don't know her but she's gorgeous, not too tall and she looks like she can dance. And you definitely need someone. You've been single for two years, that's forever." Rachel could swear Mercedes was coming out of nowhere
"I can't ask her out. I don't know how to talk to pretty girls. And what if she's straight?"
"Just ask her to play tennis game with you then. And if she's straight she can be your new friend." Kurt was pushing Rachel toward the woman while talking "We know you love us, but you can't have only three friends, you need to go out sometimes"
I can do this. I'm a very attractive woman. I'm smart. I'm funny. I'm talented. Rachel was walking toward the woman with fake confidence in her eyes.
"Hi. I mean Hi again. I-I was wondering if you wanted to play a game. I can teach you, you know - I mean since you're new figured you couldn't play. But maybe you can play and my offer still stands." The other woman was looking funny at her while she kept rambling "I'm Rachel- I told you earlier. I don't know if you remember, we met in the changing room"
"I do remember that was thirty-five minutes ago. But sorry I'm not in the mood for a game, maybe next time"
"Maybe you're in a mood for a drink? A drink with me I mean. Even though I'm perfectly confident that you can drink by yourself"
"Are you saying I'm an alcoholic Rachel?"
"What? No! Sorry I can get nervous when I talk to pretty girls" Rachel could see that the other girl was holding back a laugh.
"Alright, I have a deal for you. Next Friday we can play. If you win, I'll go grab a drink with you"
"Great! Perfect! Amazing! See you next time!"
Rachel was in heaven. She practically had a date with a gorgeous woman. Well, maybe not a date. She runs toward her friends to tell them about the woman of her life.
"She said yes for a drink if I win our game next week - which I obviously will. Tennis is my thing"
"Rachel that's amazing. Have you heard that Blaine Rachel is going on a date with this gorgeous woman" Kurt pointed at the girl. Blaine looked shocked when he saw the girl he was talking about.
"Oh honey " He looked sorry at Rachel "I think it was her way to say that she is not interested".
"Wh-what do you mean?" Rachel trying to understand the look Blaine was giving her.
" Well, that's Santana Lopez. She is a former Tennis champion. I think she even won the Olympics once."
