A/N: This is a story set in The Lightning Thief during when Percy, Annabeth, and Grover were on their quest. It's about how the different Cabins felt about the war that they thought was going to start between the gods! Enjoy!

It's inspired by the song from Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief Musical. The song is called 'Pick A Side' not a song fic but if you like the story I'd recommend listening to it! Enjoy - dragon628

Cabin Four

"Katie…?"

"Yeah, Miranda?"

"Do you really think we're going to go to war?" Miranda looked terrified as she asked her head counselor a very, very important question.

"...I don't know…"

"What do you mean 'you don't know'!?" Billy sat up from where he had been laying down on the top bunk of his bed.

"She means she doesn't know, Billy!" Brian growled.

"Stop fighting." Katie told her siblings.

"Seriously…" Miranda whispered disdainfully.

"But-" Billy started.

"No, nope, we're not doing that. Clearly you have concerns, so instead of fighting like Ares Cabin we will talk calmly about those issues, understand?" Katie was very good at handling fights.

"...Fine." Brian got down on the floor, and the other three sat down next to him.

"So you're worried that Percy, Annabeth, and Grover won't stop the war?" Katie asked.

"Yeah. Mom sent me a dream last night. She's supporting Zeus… she thinks Perseus stole the bolt, but… I don't agree. How can we fight for a cause we don't believe in?" Miranda gave Katie a fearful look.

"I feel the same. Percy seemed like a good kid, and-and-and I don't want to go to war, sis!" Billy looked even more scared then Miranda.

"We won't have to fight." Katie told them.

"Really?! Do you seriously think that a war among the gods will stay in the heavens? When it does happen, they'll want us fighting by their sides!" Brian cried.

"That's enough!" Katie put her hand up for silence, though she was getting kind of scared now too.

"We're not going to war! And if we do… then we fight side by side, like a family. Now go to bed, I don't want to hear anymore about this! Am I understood?"

Her cabinmates got up off the grass that was on the floor of Cabin 4, and muttered a chorus of 'yes' 's, and 'fine' 's.

Katie wondered ruefully if she could indeed keep her cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Five

"Why is dad backing fish breath?!" Sherman was sharpening his sword, with his feet kicked up on the Cabin's desk.

"I agree. It would've been much better if he sided with Zeus, he'll just get in trouble if Zeus wins like the last war." Ellis commented angrily.

The rest of the cabin started to agree with the two campers.

"Shut up." Clarisse walked into the Cabin, and stalked over to Sherman. He was only up to about her chest, and she towered over him. "Don't question our father."

Sherman actually got up, and stood face to face with Clarisse. "I do what I want, I don't care if you're the head counselor." He growled.

"I fight in the name of Ares, little brother. I will fight until I physically can't. If you side with Zeus, and I face you on the battlefield I will not hold back." She growled the last bit.

Finally she turned to the rest of her cabin. "That goes for all of you." She shouted.

Her siblings averted their eyes until one of the newer campers, Landon, spoke. "Hail Ares." He said confidently.

"Hail Ares!" Frances chorused.

"HAIL ARES!" The entire cabin started to chant except Ellis, and Sherman who both looked down in shame at their earlier comments.

"Hail Ares." Ellis whispered once everyone had quieted down.

"...Hail Ares…" Sherman didn't look happy to be saying it but he did anyway.

Clarisse wondered ruefully if she could indeed keep her cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Six

Annabeth was on a quest with Poseidon's spawn and Malcolm couldn't be more unhappy about the situation.

While he brooded, his siblings were trying to figure out how to bring up the 'what are we doing about the to be war' subject.

"M-malcolm?" Jay asked.

"Uh-huh?"

"We… wewerejustwonderingwhatweresupposedtodoabouttheloomingwar!" He blurted out.

"What?" Everyone asked simultaneously.

"We-were were just wondering what we're supposed to do about the looming war!" He whispered.

"Oh, that…" Malcolm growled. "We support Zeus. Hail Athena." He told them.

"Hail Athena." They echoed, almost automatically.

"B-but Annabeth said-" Sofia started but was cut off.

"Annabeth is off her rocker!" Nolan shouted.

"She trusts that Cabin 3 sea spawn!" Christy added, in a cry of dismay.

Malcolm was known for being one of the most loyal second in command in the entirety of Camp Halfblood. So as a good second he stood up angrily, with a murderous expression on his face.

"Do. Not. Question. Annabeth." He punctured every word. "She is our Cabin Leader! Your speaking traitorous words! You betray Athena by questioning her choice of a head counselor."

Nolan and Christy were thoroughly terrified, and took a step back. "Annie will see." He promised them. "She'll rejoin us, and we will be up there with the other gods and goddesses supporting Zeus!"

He turned back to his desk, and began organizing Capture The Flag strategy plans.

"To bed with all of you!" He shouted behind him, and everyone shuffled off to do as they were just told.

Malcolm wondered ruefully if he could indeed keep his cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Seven

Cabin Seven was quiet. Too quiet. You'd wonder why, but it was nine o'clock! They were practically always asleep by the time the sun went down.

Suddenly Will Solace woke up suddenly. He had a terrified look on his face, and it was for good reason.

"Lee! Lee! Lee!" The boy ran to his head counselor, and shook him awake.

"William Solace, what the fu- heck, I meant heck, what the heck are you doing awake at this time of night?"

"D-dad, h-h-h-h-he sent m-m-m-m a dre-am!" The young boy stuttered.

Lee's expression immediately turned slightly grim. "It's ok bud, it's ok, I promise. I'll wake everyone else, and you can tell us about it, ok?"

Lee walked over to a small radio that Cabin Seven used as an alarm clock. Suddenly 'Yeah' by Usher started playing.

It made all of Lee's cabin mates wake up immediately.

"Lee?! What in the f- ip, flip, what in the flip are you doing waking us up at nine!?!?" Micheal looked at his watch, and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

"Will had a dream, everyone gathered round." Lee announced putting an arm around his younger brother. Will was only eight.

The siblings sat down and Will hugged his knees. "D-dad talked to me. He's supporting Poseidon, as is Auntie Artemis."

"He wants us to fight doesn't he…?" Violet's voice was small.

"Yes…" Will's voice was barely audible even in the quiet of the night.

"Crap." Micheal growled out only for Lee to turn a glare on him.

"No cursing in front of the little ones!" He covered Will's ears.

"Cwap!" Six year old Austin giggled.

"Micheal!!" The entire cabin shouted causing said second in command to wince.

"Sorry." Micheal was trying not to laugh at the fact that he just taught Austin, Will, Kiel, Aylla, and Kayla their first curse word.

"Cwap, cwap, cwap, cwap!" Kayla said in a sing-song voice.

"Kayla stop." Micheals voice held an authoritative tone to it. He found this less funny.

Lee sighed, and sent everyone back to bed. He walked over to his desk, and pulled a photo that he had taken just the other day.

He ran his finger over all the faces in the photo. His siblings.

Lee wondered ruefully if he could indeed keep his cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Eight

The Hunters of Artemis were settled around a campfire. Zoe was in charge, thanks for Lady Artemis being called back to Olympus for an emergency council meeting.

The scene was grim. The girls knew that there would be some kind of conflict. They knew they'd have to fight. They didn't like it.

"Z-zoe, how can w-w-w-we even th-th-i-think about f-f-f-f-ighting this war!?" Phoebe asked, a terrified edging lacing her already stuttered words.

"I agree! We… we'll die! We'll be fighting gods! We can't do this!" A huntress named Maria exclaimed.

"We… we fight in the name of Lady Artemis, and we will continue to fight by her side until the end of eternity. It is the oath we vowed." Zoe's voice was unsure but she spoke the words she truly believed in.

"Hail Artemis." Zoe added for good measure.

"Hail Artemis." The campfire echoed before once again falling into a grim silence.

Zoe wondered ruefully if she could indeed keep her hunt together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Nine

"Charles!" Shane called Cabin Nine's head counselor to the desk where she was working on a new weapon for Capture The Flag that friday.

"Yeah, Shanie." He walked over but was currently focused on disassembling and reassembling a rubix cube.

"Can you take a look at this, please? The gears aren't doing what they're supposed to."

Charles nodded, and looked at the spear-like weapon that Shane was creating. "What even is this, sis?"

"It's a spear that turns into a pocket watch. I got the idea from Percy's pen!"

He nodded in acknowledgement. "Cool-cool-cool, oh I see your problem! It's the-"

"Charlie!" Selina ran into the cabin with a distraught look on her face.

Charles ran over to her immediately. "Selina whats wrong."

She shook her head. "They're on different sides." She whispered.

"Pardon?" Nyssa asked, coming into the conversation.

"Aphrodite's fighting with Poseidon… Hephestus is backing Zeus though…" Selina's face portrayed one of the most panicked expressions that Cabin Nine had ever seen on anyone.

Charles' face fell and fit Selina's exact expression. "Shi-oot." He growled.

"I… I have to get back to my cabin… I'm sorry Charlie." She kissed him on the cheek, and gave him a quick hug.

Once she left Jake moved to stand next to his counselor who looked like he was trying to figure out a complex math equation.

"Charles? Are… are we gonna have to fight?" Christopher asked.

It took their brother a moment to answer, but he did. "...no, no of course not. It's time for bed anyway." He shook his head, and sat down in one of the desk chairs.

He put his head in his hands and tried to figure out how they could stop this war if Percy failed. Hephestus help them.

Charles wondered ruefully if he could indeed keep his cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin 10

Selina's cabin was in an uproar. No it wasn't because there was going to be a war among the gods! Nope you can always count on Aphrodite Cabin to focus on the important things!

Like Drews missing hairbrush. Of course the fact that she thinks Mitchell took it is more important than the fact that they were about to go to war!

Selina couldn't handle this. If her siblings were willing to murder each other over something this tiny and insignificant then-then-then they'd NEVER survive the upcoming war!

She ran out of Cabin Ten to go find her boyfriend.

Selina wondered ruefully if she could indeed keep her cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Eleven

Luke was happy. The others were not. So instead of going into a huge sadistic story about why Luke was happy, Connor Stoll will tell us this story.

Luke disappeared, but no one could really blame them. Hermes had just sent them a hologram letter telling them he was fighting alongside Zeus.

Travis tried to get everyone to calm down, but to no avail did they.

"War!? War!?! I don't want to go to war!!!" Cecil Markowitz threaded his hands in his hair, and wore a terrified expression on his face.

"Cecil! Calm down no ones going to war!" Connor grabbed his younger brother, and tried to get him to sit down.

"Yes we are! Dad just said that!" Lei sat down on her bed, and pulled her knees to her chest.

"No. Percy'll stop it. We won't have to fight." Travis sat down next to Lei, and put an arm around her.

"It's almost bedtime everyone, Luke'll be back soon, and you all know how he gets about being in bed by ten." Connor remarked.

Everyone nodded, and headed off to bed.

Connor wondered ruefully if he could indeed keep his cabin together through this upcoming war…

Cabin Twelve

The door to Cabin Twelve opened slowly. Both Pollux, and Castor were busy reading. Because of this fact they did not in fact hear their father enter their cabin.

"Boys." Dionysus's voice wasn't harsh, but it wasn't kind and friendly either.

"Yeah, dad?" Castor sat up from where he had out his feet up on the ladder of the bunk beds.

"We're fighting with Fish Brains." He told them while shrugging.

"Ok." Pollux shrugged, and went back to reading.

They had a small cabin, and a great relationship with their dad. They honestly couldn't care less.

So Castor and Pollux did not in fact wonder ruefully if they could indeed keep their cabin together through this upcoming war.

A/N: Sorry if they were a little OOC. I'm thinking of either adding, or doing a different series about little one-shot family moments about the gods. 'One Big 'Happy' Dysfunctional Family' will be updated soon! Thanks for reading, please review! - dragon628
