Hey guys! Okay, since is written for my lovely friend hummingbird as she likes the pairing of Kallura. However, I do not ship Kallura in VLD so I decided to twist things up a little and crossover ship VLD Keith with DoTU Allura and now it's become an OTP. This is set after the episode 'Hole in the Sky' but before 'The Journey' so Shiro isn't back yet. I am also writing this for the Chimera Creator challenge for 'New Beginning' in the part of Limbs, 'Castle' in the part of Specialised Organs and 'A Whole New World' from Aladdin in the part of Languages. Now that all this info is out of the way, this is my first time writing something like this so I hope you enjoy it.
1. Where am I?
Whispers floated around her as Allura slowly opened her eyes, looking around. Something felt odd, even as the whispers slowly died down. This place…it did not look like the Castle of Lions that she had become so accustomed to seeing, the place she had grown up in. Her gaze slowly moved down to her wrist, her eyes widening at not seeing her wedding band there either as well as her skin being a lot darker. Had someone attacked her and she had passed out, then woken up like this? As her gaze moved across the room, she saw Keith and Hunk, but at the same time, she wasn't certain it was them. They looked similar but at the same time different in a way she couldn't explain. They felt like strangers and yet somehow, she also felt they were not.
"Allura, are you alright?" Someone asked. This caused her to jump a little, startled, not sure how to respond.
Allura opened her mouth to ask the person who they were but realised that may come across as rather rude so she dismissed that idea. There had to be a better way to say that.
"Where am I?" was what she asked instead, looking at the person who had spoken. He had orange hair and a curly moustache to match it.
"You're in the Castle of Lions," he replied immediately. He sounded worried when she asked the question. "Princess, are you feeling alright?"
The Castle of Lions? This looked nothing like the Castle she was used to but maybe she had hit her head and not everything was clear yet. Her blue eyes scanned the room before they stopped at Keith.
"Keith," Allura spoke softly. "What's going on? Everyone looks different and Lance and Pidge aren't here. Even you and Hunk look a little bit different." She thought keeping her words simple and to the point might be a good way to figure out what was going on right now. "Even I look different."
"Princess, we're right here," Lance said confused before Keith could reply. "How come you recognise Mullet and Hunk but not us? I'm wounded, Princess. I thought you loved me." He put a hand to his heart and Allura stared at him. She supposed he looked somewhat like Lance, but her Lance did not speak this way, especially now that she and Keith were betrothed.
"Lance, you might want to tone down the flirting," Keith said, confirming whom Allura thought he was before turning to her. "I'm not sure why we look different, Princess but what's the last thing you remember?"
Lance's words were confusing and what Keith called it (flirting?) didn't make sense either way. She looked between Keith and Lance before speaking up again.
"If that is Lance, why would he flirt with me? He knows I'm betrothed to Keith," Allura said, not entirely sure if she was addressing Keith in this or asking Lance himself to address her concerns. Right now, just having some answers would be nice.
"WHAT?!" Lance said, rounding on Keith who turned bright red, trying to sputter out something but he couldn't seem to get even a single word.
