Combining Lucifer and Hazbin Hotel makes no sense being crossed over. So here it is some one-shots for your viewing pleasure. I thought it would be funny if different characters reacted to meeting Lucifer's daughter. Details will be more accurate to Hazbin Hotel but acknowledging Lucifer lore makes this possible. This one is felt like an AU.
Spoiler Warning for Lucifer!
Spoiler Warning for Hazbin Hotel!
Prologue:
Lucifer took a vacation after separating from his wife of almost three hundred years, Lilith. Leaving that life behind he spent five months on earth before meeting detective Decker. Meanwhile, stressed with work and not on speaking terms with her mother, Charlie decides to pay her dad a visit.
Lux, L.A.
Once in the club Blitzo turned Loona and Charlie loose to find the King of Hell.
Charlie found her way through the crowd, over to the bar. Maze was working the bar. She wove hello, the torturer didn't seem to recognize her. Remembering her glamour hid her real form, she made her way over to the hell's finest torturer, "Hi, Maze! Where's my Dad?"
Maize's eyes lit up with recognition. "Charlie? What are you doing here?" She let out a yelp of surprise when the deadly bartender pulled her into a hug, "I need your help, Lucifer needs to go back to Hell." Charlie was released from the torturer's embrace, she smiled, "You don't know the half of it. Where's my dad?" "He's probably upstairs. Take the elevator."
Charlie thanked her and slipped through the crowd to the elevator. The doors closed with a ding.
The doors opened to exactly what she expected, a penthouse with a view, a fully stocked bar, a grand piano, and Italian marble. The only thing she wasn't expecting was her dad making out with some skank in front of said piano.
Lucifer, the king of Hell, quit his job to run a night club in Los Angeles, and was hooking up with some human, leaving her to attempt at doing his job for him. Never mind that he wasn't even supposed to leave hell. She forced a wide smile and decided to ruin it for him, "Hi Dad!"
Her dear old father nearly jumped out of his skin, "Charlie! What in the blazes are you doing here?" the woman recoiled from her dad in embarrassment, "Wait, Lucifer you have kids!"
"She is obviously visiting unannounced. Now if you would both not freak out for a moment." Lucifer stook straightening his collar and refilling his drink, he stepped back towards the bar facing the two women, "Detective, this is my ONLY daughter Charlette. Charlie This is Detective Chloe Decker. We've been working together some five months at the L.A.P.D. Now that you've been introduced, please tell me why you're here?"
Charlie smiled, taking slight sadistic pleasure from seeing him squirm in discomfort, then realizing why "You're dating this woman?" Lucifer sighed one of his best qualities was his honesty, "Yes, you probably already knew but your mother and I aren't getting back together."
The detective looked as if she felt very out of place, "Lucifer, should I leave?" Lucifer turned back Chloe, "No, no, that's not necessary. Obviously, you both have questions." "Are you ever coming home?" the devil sighed, "Lux is my home now. You can visit obviously-" Charlie interrupted, "So the cheating slut wins? You ran away to play cop and let her have your house?"
Lucifer's calm exterior ran thin snapping momentarily, "Charlette! Manners!" Charlie stopped herself seething in anger. Lucifer looked over to Chloe, who was similarly confused, "We're divorced, Chloe. We're happily divorced before I came to L.A. The primary reason is her decided unfaithfulness."
Chloe stopped him. "How long were you too married?" "Since before Charlette was born." The detective nodded, and turned to look at Charlette, "So, his whole pretending to be the devil thing? How do you deal with that?"
Charlie only hesitated for a moment, "Well, no one calls him 'The Devil'. He's just my dad, regardless of profession-" she paused and looked around the room, "or lifestyle." She added.
The detective didn't seem satisfied with the answers but pressed on cautiously asking Lucifer, "Does she know about your dad?" Lucifer didn't react, he just shrugged, "I don't like talking about him you know that, even less so with the one person I'm trying to do better than him for."
The detective looked surprised. His answer was so mature by comparison to his usual behavior.
The elevator doors opened. Blitz, M, &M, entered the penthouse guns drawn. "Hey Charlie! Did you find the target?"
"LAPD, Put the gun down!" "Fuck you lady! I thought this was America!" Blitz, Millie and the detective started a standoff while Moxxie complied with the police officer's request.
"Damn it Moxxie!" "Sir we haven't done anything wrong!" Lucifer set down his drink and did his best to defuse the situation. "If you shoot anyone in my club; I'll make a handbag from your skin!"
Blitz flinched hearing the king of hell threaten him, then put his flintlock back in his jacket, "Sorry, Ma'am I've been on edge, I hate this city."
Millie put her weapon away as well. Blitz turned to Charlie, "Okay we found your dad, can you pay us so we can go?"
Charlie nodded, "Yeah I've got my checkbook here."
Ms. Decker stopped her, "Hang on, I want to make sure you have registrations for all of those firearms." Blitz gave her a blank look. "Registration? Ma'am we don't live in L.A. I don't have California registration, but if you're curious my pistol is an antique," he handed his flintlock to the detective who looked it over, "It was a gift from a British naval officer, back in my carnival days."
Chloe put up a hand to stop him, "Ok I don't need your life story." "right ok anyway the rest of the firearms are owned by my business. We are a P.I. firm that does security work on the side. When business is slow. Investigative Management Personnel, or I-M-P. Were based in Jacksonville, Florida, but have a lot of potential for growth in the next few years."
The detective looked over at Charlie, "So you hired private investigators to find your dad, because he ran away from home? Amenadiel didn't mention that." Lucifer spoke up, "It must have slipped his mind. Chloe, I think you should go home, we can catch up tomorrow at the precinct."
"Okay, I'll see you there."
The detective left, and Lucifer rounded on Blitzo, Pinning him to the counter. The imp let out a yelp of surprise. Lucifer's face turned red, his eyes black, and any inkling of doubt in their minds he was the king of Hell vanished like dew on a summer morning. "You do not get to come up here and threaten people!"
Blitzo could only nod and try not to whimper. Lucifer let go of him, his devil face disappearing. He let a breath, calming himself, "Imp? What a stupid cover." "Actually, it stands for Instant-" "I don't care. You three, get out!" Lucifer turned back to Charlie as they left.
"I can't do it, dad." Charlie's eyes started to water, "I tried really hard. I can't do what you do. Keeping everyone in line. I'm not strong enough." She let out a breath, she wouldn't cry if she could help it, "Mammon took over Lulu World, Satan turned half the ring of wrath into a warzone, Seviathan is trying to ruin my relationship with Vaggie, Imps are in full revolt on the seventh ring, and Mom is actively undermining my first client's improvements by screwing him in MY hotel."
Charlie fought back tears, "I don't even know if redemption is possible. Am I wasting my time?" She looked up at her dad, was he going to be mad? She was supposed to be his daughter, the princess of hell, she screwed up so much. He was going to throw her out or- the thought process was cut off.
He pulled her into a warm hug. She hugged back. The tears finally came. "I'm so sorry Charlie, for everything." Lucifer tucked a loose strand of hair behind Charlie's ear. Charlie needed a moment, Lucifer gave it to her, just holding her, letting her emotions spill out. "We can straighten all this out don't worry. You and I."
"Thanks Dad."
