What an I do with water

This is going to be a story centered around a self insert character who has the ability to manipulate water. Go through the journey of me trying to find a balance of power that isn't pathetic or rubbing my own ego. First story so I need criticism or tips to help me improve.

I am an anomaly of sorts. Out of place in this new world of incredible superpowers. This world of great heroes and power hungry villains. I was reincarnated into this world. You may think that this was a fantastic opportunity, one that you would grab in an instant if you were in my shoes. Which is understandable, however i was too busy being an angsty shit too realize the chances I had been lucked into at rebirth.
