It was 1626, Isolt was just about to finish telling Chadwick and Webster about Hogwarts for a bedtime-story.
"...And they have 4 houses named by the founders of Hogwarts," Isolt told the boys, "Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuf and Salazar Slytherin."
The boys were fascinated by this story.
"Can we go there?" asked Webster.
"And learn magic?" asked Chadwick, his eyes glittered with excitement.
Isolt looked at them with a little sadness in her eyes, she didn't know how to tell them that they can't go there.
"I'm afraid you can't," she answered.
"What? Why?" Chadwick asked, disappointed.
"So… We can't learn magic?" Webster asked, his sadness was heard in his voice.
"You'll learn magic, I promise" Isolt said.
"How? We can't go to Hogwarts" Webster looked at Isolt, hoping she'll say something good.
"I will teach you, but only when you will become 11 years old, this is the age students start to go to Hogwarts, and this is the age that you grow and supposed to start to learn magic" Isolt told them and the boys were jumping on their beds from excitement.
"I'm afraid it's time to go to sleep" Isolt told them, "Good night".
"Good night" The boys answered and Isolt left the room.
"It can be a castle, a big one" Chadwick said, "With a lot of classes to learn magic!"
"And 4 houses" Said Webster.
"It will be cool if we call the houses by our names" Chadwick called, inspired by Isolt's stories about Hogwarts.
"You're only 3 people, what name are you going to give to the 4th house?" James asked them.
"Your name" Webster said.
"Yeah, you're in this, too!" Chadwick agreed.
"I have no magic, I don't have to be a part of this" James told them.
"You're one of us" Isolt told him, "You get your own house".
James smiled at them, appreciated that they think about him as one of them "James Steward, it sounds good" James said and imagined the house.
"Isolt Sayre" Said Isolt, trying to imagine a house named after her.
"Chadwick Boot can be a good name for a house" Chadwick said.
"I don't think it's a good idea, a house named Webster Boot has no chance to win in something" Webster said to them, "I think it's best if we name our houses on something else" He told them and canceled the idea.
"Maybe fantastic beasts?" Chadwick suggested.
"It's a good idea" Isolt said, "Do you have any ideas for your fantastic beast?" she asked the three of them.
"I think I'll choose Jackalope, " Webster said.
"Jackalope?" Chadwick laughed, "Are you sure about that? I don't think Jackalope deserves it's own house, it's like calling the house in a really stupid name. What describes the house?"
"Okay, I get what you're trying to say, I'll change it" Webster told him and started to think about another name.
"I will choose Snallygaster" Chadwick called.
"Are you sure? I don't think it suits you" Webster looked at Chadwick.
"You think so? I was debating between Snallygaster and Thunderbird" He thought a little bit and then said "Ok, I think that it's better to take Thunderbird instead of Snallygaster" He imagined a symbol of Thunderbird "Yeah, it's better".
"What about you?" Isolt turned to Webster, "Did you choose something else?" Isolt said to him, urged him to choose.
"Yes, I know, I'll take Wampus" Webster said, "I like it much more than Jackalope".
"I will take Horned Serpent" Isolt said, she knew What she would choose right when Chadwick suggested they'll use fantastic beasts, "What about you, James?" She asked James, who was quiet and seemed lost for all over this conversation.
"I don't know" He told her slowly, "I don't know much about magical beasts".
"There has to be something, I told you about a few fantastic beasts" Isolt said.
James thought a little and then a little smile was seen on his face, and he said "I guess I'll choose the Pukwudgie, your stories about him always makes me laugh" He chuckled as he thought about Isolt's stories.
That's how the names were made.
"It can be blue, what do you think?" Isolt asked James.
"I think it's a really good color," James answered, "What do you say about combining blue and red?"
"Is that the color you chose?" Isolt asked him and looked at him, but before James could answer, Chadwick came to the kitchen, where Isolt and James were.
"Are you talking about the uniform?" Chadwick asked and Webster came to the kitchen, too.
"Yes, we were just talking about the uniform's colors" Isolt answered to Chadwick question.
"What did you decide?" Webster asked.
"We were thinking about blue and red" James told them.
"Why those colors?" Chadwick asked them, confused.
"Well, I picked blue because Ravenclaw house in Hogwarts" Isolt said, "I've always wanted to be there, and that's how Hogwarts will be in the uniforms" The three looked at James for explanation for his color.
"I chose red because I like cranberry" James said, a little embarrassed, and shrugged his shoulders.
Webster started to laugh and asked "Those are the reasons? Those are bad colors to combine".
"Why? Do you want to choose the colors?" Isolt asked Webster, and Webster didn't respond.
"Those are the colors we chose, so those are the colors of the uniforms" Isolt said to the boys.
Webster shrugged his shoulders and left the kitchen.
"I came here to remind you that my 11th birthday is coming soon," Chadwick said, a little nervous, "And you promised that when I'll become 11, I'll get a wand of myself"
"We remember, don't worry, you'll get your wand" Isolt said to Chadwick and after he left the room, Isolt looked at James and said "I don't know any kind of cores for wands, how can we give him the wand in time?"
"Don't worry," James comfort her, "He will get the wand on his birthday"
"James, wake up!" Isolt whispered to James.
"What's wrong?" James asked, still asleep.
"I've got a part of an Horned Serpent's horn for Chadwick's wand" She said, "I need your help and your skill with the wood".
James woke up and they went to the kitchen, to work on the wand. They took a part of prickly ash, and Isolt gave James the horn's part. They started working on the wand.
In the morning, Chadwick woke up, excited that it's his 11th birthday and a few minutes after him, Webster woke up and they went together to the living room.
Isolt and James smiled at him and welcomed him with "Happy Birthday!", and then they brought him the wand he has been waiting to get for so long.
The boys were impressed and excited from the wand.
"I love it!" Chadwick said in excitement and Isolt and James looked at each other, happy.
"We happy that you like it" James told him with a smile on his face.
"I can't wait to get my wand too!" Webster said in impatiently.
"You'll get your own when you'll become 11" Isolt told him.
"Don't worry, until then, I will let you use my wand" Chadwick told him, with a little smile on his face, and Webster was grateful and happy, after that, they both started to discuss about the things they're going to do with it first.
"In 1544, a british wizard named Jarleth Hobart thought he managed to create a flying charm," Isolt told the students. "He invited a lot of people because he wanted to show them his invention, and after a few speeches he used the charm on himself. It worked well, in the beginning. After a while he understood that he can't fly, and he fell on the ground. Apparently, the charm he created was a levitation charm, and not a flying one. The spell is called 'Wingardium Leviosa' and we are going to learn it today."
"Can I ask a question?" Sokanon from the Narragansett tribe asked.
"Yes, of course" Isolt answered and smiled at the girl.
"If the spell didn't work, then why are we going to learn it?" Sokanon didn't understand.
"Yeah, I didn't understand it either," Tatoson from the Wampanoag tribe agreed.
"Well, because it works on subjects and that's why he fell" She explained to Sokanon and Tatoson, "Now, are you ready to learn the spell?" Isolt asked the students and they were excited to learn the spell.
"First, you need your wand and a feather, and you need to remember to do the spell like I am going to show you" She told the students and they held their wands and Isolt gave every student 2 feathers. "Now, you need to take your wand, and watch me" Isolt took her wand and showed them the move and said "Wingardium Leviosa" and her feather flied a little and she said "Your turn, now"
Chadwick, Sokanon, Oiguina, Tatoson, and Petonowit tried the spell. Oiguina's and Chadwick's feathers stayed in the same place, Tatoson's feather went up a little and when he got excited it fell. Only Petonowit succeeded in the spell.
"Don't worry," Isolt said to those who failed, "The first time is always hard".
Chadwick, Oiguina, Sokanon and Tatoson tried again and this time Chadwick succeeded in the spell.
After a few more trying, everyone succeeded in the spell and Isolt told them "Good Work" with a smile on her face.
For Webster's birthday, Isolt decided to make his wand from a Horned Serpent's horn for a core like Chadwick's wand and by the time of his birthday the wand was ready.
Webster woke up in the morning, excited. Chadwick was already awake and waited for him to wake up, too.
"Happy Birthday" He said to him with a smile.
"Thanks!" Webster smiled at his big brother and they both went to the kitchen, where Isolt and James were already there.
"Happy Birthday!" James told him, while Isolt gave him the gift he has been waiting to get for a long time- his wand.
Webster immediately took the wand in excitement and said "I love it! Thank you".
"No problem, it's your birthday gift after all" Isolt told him, smiling.
Webster felt like it's the best day in his life.
"It's been a few years since we opened this school, and we finally have enough students to start something we wanted to do, that Chadwick and Webster dreamt about ever since we started planning the school. We decided to make a competition between the houses" Isolt explained to the students, "If your behavior is good, you'll get points. If your behavior is bad, you'll lose points. At the end of each year, the house with the most points wins. We're starting it this year"
Author Note: Isolt didn't answer to Chadwick's question because she didn't want to scare the boys with the story of Gormalith. I decided to make Chadwick and Webster to think about Jackalope and Snallygaster because they will be the fantastic beasts that help Isolt and James in creating wands.
