A/N: Well, here is my story: The Flash v The Avengers. There are a few things you need to know about the timeline as I have made a few changes to it: Let's just say the whole singularity thing didn't happen either (I mean, I don't want Barry being a massive hypocrite). Henry Allen is dead, I will explain how he died in this chapter. Ronnie is also dead, I know I said the whole singularity never happened but let's just say Thawne killed him but couldn't kill Stein as Barry had stopped him. Barry is a famous and wealthy billionaire, not a CSI.
Remember, I moving the entire timeline of The Flash (not the entire Arrowverse) back by two years. This way the Battle of New York (which Joe died in) happened just before the end of season one. This also means that Barry was born in the year 1987 and that his mother was murdered in 1998. If you want, listen to the piano cover of A Beautiful Lie while reading this chapter. That's all the timeline changes for now, on with the story!
Bold words mean narration by Barry Allen.
There's only one thing I know about life.
On March 20th of the year 1998, a funeral proceedings of both Henry and Nora Allen continued as the graves holding their dead bodies were both drenched in the fierce rain as was the umbrellas of everyone that was there. Everyone except 11-year-old Barry Allen, who was standing in the rain without an umbrella but he didn't want to be dry, he wanted his parents back. The memories of the event that took his parents from him flashed through the young boy's mind as he felt his heart cracking at each memory.
A tornado of red and yellow lightning surrounding his mother, who was on her knees, helplessly calling out her son's name.
"Barry!"
I know somethings happen by chance.
Barry ran to his home, where he saw his dad in handcuffs while being dragged away at the hands of two police officers.
"Dad! Why are they taking you?" Barry cried.
"Barry!" Henry called out. "Your mother...oh my...I swear to god, I wouldn't hurt her, son. Don't go into the house!"
Barry ignored his father's orders as he ran inside and saw a blue tarp, covering something in the middle of the house. Barry got kneeled behind the tarp as he pulled it off, revealing the dead body of Nora Allen, his mother.
During the funerals, Barry felt his heart cracking more and more until it broke as the pain was too much for him to handle. The young boy freed himself from Joe's grip as he ran away from the graves. Joe noticed this as he called after the boy in failed attempts to get him back.
"Barry!" Joe yelled. "Barry! It's okay, son!"
But Barry didn't listen, he just kept going, he continued to run and that's what he wanted to do: run. Run away. Run away from the pain, the heartbreak, the suffering, he just wanted to run away and be free but even these efforts were in vain as with every step Barry took memories of the event overtook his mind.
I know somethings happen because we make them happen. And that sometimes things happen because we're the reason that they happen.
Barry ran out his house as he saw his father being pushed into the police car, Henry was resisting, demanding to speak to his son.
"Dad!" Barry cried.
"Barry!" Henry cried out.
Henry shoved the officers away as he ran towards his son, who was doing the same for Henry. For a split-second, Barry felt a form of relief when suddenly a gunshot was heard. Henry stopped running as a red dot of blood overtook his chest, he dropped to his knees, the life from his eyes being drained down to the last bit as Barry stared into Henry's face in horror. Henry fell to the side, revealing an officer who was holding a gun, the cold winds revealing smoke from the hole of the pistol. The police officer stared in horror as many other officers restrained him.
"Dad!" Barry cried, shaking his father's bloodied and dying body.
Henry gasped and gasped, sucking in his final breath as one word escaped his lips before the life in his body was completely drained.
"Nora." Henry barely whispered.
Barry continued running as he entered the forest, the rain pouring from the skies, drenching him as if he had jumped into a pool and come out. But he didn't care, he only wanted to run. The young 11-year-old kept running as he tripped over a branch and fell onto the leaf-covered ground of the forest, Barry got up to his feet and continued running, ignoring the accelerated beats of his heart, begging him to stop.
Barry kept running when suddenly, he ran over the top of a mine-shaft. The wood cracked and broke under Barry's feet as the 11-year-old fell under, falling and falling for a few feet before landing on a leaf-covered floor with a loud Thud! He didn't bother getting up, he simply laid down, not moving an inch as the dark clouds poured with rain, roaring with thunder but most of all lighting up with lightning. Lightning, his fear.
Suddenly, a tornado of orangish-yellow lightning surrounded Barry as the young boy got up to his knees. The tornado of lightning was familiar, it was the orangish-yellow lightning that was there when his mother died. Barry cried in fear as the tornado of orange/yellow lightning stopped, revealing a man in a red suit. The suit was made of some form of fiber from the neck down, a white emblem with a gold lightning bolt on it. There was also a helmet in red metal that covered the top and back of his head with a grey visor that covered half of the man's face, leaving his chin and mouth exposed to the air.
Barry stared in fear of the man, his eyes bloodshot and his cheeks wet not from the rain but from crying, the man was just as wet as Barry was due to the rain. He didn't say anything to Barry nor did he to him. They both simply stared at one another until Barry broke the silence.
"Who are you?" Barry asked.
Instead of replying, the man simply held out his hand. Barry hesitated for a moment as he was wary of whether or not he could trust him.
"It's okay." the man whispered. "Don't be afraid."
Barry accepted the man's hand as the man in the red suit pulled him up to his feet. The man held Barry's waist with his left arm, he then pointed the other arm downward at the ground. The man in the red suit then started moving his arm at an impossible speed as Barry stared in shock, the speed of the man's arm was generating tornado-like winds that were pushing both the man and Barry upward. Both Barry and the man started levitating as their feet were lifted off the ground by the force of the winds.
The two kept levitating for a few moments as Barry felt the sun shining down on him, the rain had stopped, the sky had cleared and the lightning - the lightning was gone. The man and Barry kept levitating until they reached the top of the mine-shaft to which they both got out and stood on the wet ground of the forest. Barry looked at the man, who was lightly smiling, in shock.
How did you do that? Barry wanted to ask but he was still in pain so he didn't bother. The man got onto his knees as he lightly placed his hands on Barry's shoulders, giving an encouraging smile.
"It's okay." the man whispered.
Before Barry could say or do anything, the man disappeared in a flash of orangish-yellow lightning. Barry stared in shock before looking around the forest, which was now ruled by the light coming down from the sun. The young boy looked up as he saw the brightness of the yellow sun, reigning down on the earth. Barry raised his hand up to shield his eyes from the brightness, he felt a flicker of hope light up inside at the sight of the sun's bright light. The light would grow and grow but unknown to the young boy it would fade and darken as would the world around him when the time came.
In the dream, I was taken to the light - a beautiful lie.

The Avengers are introduced to the world.
New York, NY
The Battle of New York wasn't reaching it's peak, it had gone far, far beyond it. A flash of orange lightning was visible through the streets of New York City as The Flash, Central City's Greatest Protector, skidded to a stop on the damaged streets. Had his mask been remove, people would've recognized the face of billionaire Barry Allen. Flash was wearing his red suit, blood was dripping from the side of his mouth. He had just stopped the Reverse-Flash but at a cost, Eddie Thawne, Iris' boyfriend, Flash's friend, killed himself to save Flash.
The Scarlet Speedster was overwhelmed with guilt but he was too busy to feel it, while he had arrived to help out in New York, he had mainly come here to save Joe and Iris West, his adoptive father and sister. Flash breathed heavily, inhaling all the oxygen he needed as he continued running through the streets, saving civilians where he could. Flash stopped a mile or two away from the building where Joe and Iris supposedly were. He tapped his comm link as he tried to get in touch with Joe.
"Joe?" Flash said. "Iris?"
In one of the buildings in New York, Joe West secretly answered the call on his comm link as his daughter, Iris, was standing near him.
"Barry?" Joe called out.
"Joe, listen to me, you have to get everyone in the building out of there." Flash said as he ran around the streets, saving more and more civilians but not enough.
"I got it." Joe replied as he turned to face everyone in the building. "Alright, everyone we got to move, now!"
Everyone in the room obeyed Joe's orders as they all warned the people inside the building to evacuate with them. The building was being cleared except for both Joe and Iris, who were staying behind to ensure that everyone was out of the building.
Outside on the streets of New York, Flash continued getting people out of New York City and away from the island. He was saving as many people as he could or at least he was trying to, Flash finally stopped when he got a pair of civilians a few miles away from the island of Manhattan. He then looked back at the island as he could partially see the building where Iris and Joe were, Flash once again tapped his comm link as he spoke into it.
"Joe!" Flash called.
"Barry!" Joe said as Iris listened, tears forming in her eyes as she knew what was in store for her.
"Joe, c'mon get out of there." Flash said.
"I can't, Barr. It's our time."
Joe handed the comm link to Iris, who tearfully took it as she spoke.
"Barry, it's me." Iris said.
"Iris." Flash gasped.
"I am so sorry."
"It's okay, you're going to be fine..."
"I love you-"
The communications were cut off before the comms went static as the building Joe and Iris were in came crashing down due to the leviathan crashing through the bottom of it. Flash stared in horror at the sight of the building.
"JOE!" Flash screamed at the top of his lungs as he ran off at super speed, going as fast as he could.
Flash kept running and running, he wasn't fast enough and he knew it but he didn't care, he just wanted it, once. For once in his life, not to be late. Flash stopped at the building as dust overtook his surroundings, the dust eventually cleared as Flash looked around in horror. The building had crumbled to pieces, the Scarlet Speedster looked around the streets of New York and noticed all the destruction, all the death. Flash then noticed a little girl, petrified with fear, standing under a column of concrete.
She must've gone there to protect herself. Flash thought. Suddenly, the column of concrete creaked as it tipped over, ready to crush the girl to bits. Flash charged at super speed as he jumped and scooped the girl in his arms before skidding on the other side just before the column crashed on the ground. Flash put the girl onto her feet as he lightly held her shoulders.
"It's okay, you're okay." Flash said as he put on an encouraging smile. "You know what? Let's find your mom, where's your mom?"
The girl immediately burst into tears as she pointed her finger up, Flash looked at the direction the girl's finger was pointed as his smile vanished. Papers were flying everywhere like leaves in a forest, the part of the building the girl was pointing to as completely severed off from the lower floors. Flash turned his head back to the girl as he pulled her into a hug, letting her break down in his arms.
"She said she would come." the girl sobbed.
"I know." was all Flash could say.
Losing a parent at a young age, Flash knew that feeling. The Scarlet Speedster then looked up at the sky as he instantly glared at it in fury and pure rage, he saw a man in a red and gold, metal suit but not just any man - the Iron Man. One of the six bastards who had created this mess in the first place. Flash held the girl close as he didn't want her final moment to be watching the Iron Man fly a nuclear missile into the portal in the sky. Anger built up in Flash's mind as dam burst open in his mind, it was time to begin his mission. He swore he would never let this happen again. Ever. He would take revenge to the psychopath 'Avengers' who caused all of this. He wouldn't be the Avenger the world wanted but the one they needed. It was time to be The Flash, but this time things he would be different. This time, there would be no holding back - at all.
A/N: Well, there you go folks. The first chapter in my Flash v Avengers story. I know I said I would release it in June but I couldn't help myself. Please note that I will take my time updating this story, I am in school and it is May so as you know there is a whole lot of homework. But I will do my best and update this story whenever I can.
For the part where young Barry was rescued, yes, that was future Barry Allen.
