Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. Mr Dursley was a very successful Sales Director at Grunnings Drills. Mrs Dursley looked after number four to the best of her abilities and was part of the Privet Drive Neighbourhood Watch.
Their perfect son, Dudley, studied at the alma mater of Mr Dursley and was a boxing champion at the school who was adored by his parents.
Then there was the nephew. Harry Potter. The son of Mrs Dursley's sister, Lily, he was the unusual one of the family. The reason behind his unusualness - he was a wizard.
Harry, despite showing the "perfect Gryffindor" persona, had a secret. From the age of 13, he had been responsible for a crime wave that had surrounded Little Winging.
Obviously, he deflected the blame onto a local gang, which happened to be led by his cousin, much to his amusement and the annoyance of his Aunt Petunia who was down the local cop shop every few days with their lawyer, supporting her precious Dudderkins.
It wasn't as if Harry took things easy. At the age of 13, he had started off with spraying graffiti all over the shop with spray paint he found in Dudley's bedroom. He would spray tags that he knew were Dudley's gang or the gang that lived in the nearby Greater Winging.
At the age of 14, with his hormones playing up, he had broken into the local magistrate's house and stole several things, including a gold ring, arranging for them to be sold to Gringotts via Bill Weasley to make a bit of extra cash.
Then there was the time when he nicked the local traffic wardens car and took it on a bit of a joyride, smashing it up. Fortunately, he had managed to escape with no injuries, with the Traffic Warden losing his no claims bonus.
And at 15, having seen Cedric die, he kept stealing, this time vodka, scotch and lager from the local off licence, hoping that Muggle drinks would help his depressive spiral, and started sleeping with Piers Polikiss's twin sister, Perdy.
It was the summer after his Sixth year that his time as a rebellious teenager would end, as Harry found himself down the local nick, facing charges of assaulting a police officer, having decked the copper during a drunken night of vandalism.
But instead of coming quietly, he started laughing his head off as the Police Sergent was bundling him in the cop car. On his way into the nick at Greater Winging, he saw one of his year mates, Tracey Davis, walking past.
"Oy oy sexy" Harry shouted over to her. "Show us yer knickers."
Seeing her smile as she walked past, he thought he heard her giggle. Unfortunately, he didn't get to see her that year, as he had got sentenced to a year in a Young Offenders Insitute.
