A/N: Just a little thought that I had. It's set about… I don't know 70-80 years in the future? If this story is liked I might turn it into a series. If so, mostly all the one-shots will be told from friends of Percy's POV… not telling you anything else! Have fun, and enjoy! - dragon628
Nico POV
Nico was 84 (168?), he lived with his husband William, and their 5 children who had all already moved out.
But this isn't a story about the Di Angelo-Solace family, that story will come another day.
This story is about how I help pass on the legends of my friends and I's adventures.
I shadow traveled into Camp and smiled at all the campers.
Cabin 13 had 3 kids in it. One who was 19, one who was 14, and one who was 7.
My father wasn't as bad as other gods, but in the spring and summer when Persephone was gone he got lonely.
Cabin 3 had 7 kids in it. Amphitrite wasn't happy that's for sure.
But do you know who was even less happy? Hera. Cabin 1 had… wanna take bets reader?
1 kid?
10 kids?
20 kids?
35 kids reader. Zeus had made it his personal mission to repopulate his cabin after all those years when he couldn't sire kids (Though it didn't stop Thalia, and Jason's birth did it? Nope.)
Apollo Cabin's population was low, and had been since Apollo's little trip to earth. He hasn't even thought about going back to his old ways, and he was an active participant in the kids he did sire's lives.
But we're getting off track. So I walked swiftly to the dining pavillon where a group of campers were sitting, and waiting for the famed Nico Di Angelo.
"Good morning campers!" I sat down at the head of Cabin 13's table. Fiona, the current head counselor of Cabin 13, was teaching sword fighting today, because of this fact I was glad to sit in my old chair, and face the campers who were very excited to hear the tales of Perseus Jackson.
Chiron had suggested this to me and a few of Percy's remaining friends about a month ago. Today would be the first day of this class, and I was the first teacher.
Today I would recount to these young campers the tale of 'Percy Jackson and The Olympians'.
We'd voted on the name, but I wanted it to be called 'Perseus Jackson and The Incredibly Annoying People In The Sky Who Kept Asking For His Help',
or
'Percy Jackson and The Extremely Enthusiastic Fans Who Were All Waiting For Him To Realize He Was In Love With Annabeth'.
Good names right?
So back to the story.
"So kids, you've all heard vague tales passed down through the grape-vine, but starting today you will get the complete story from the people who were actually there." Everyone cheered.
"I'll tell you a story today, and if things go well another hero will come in next week and tell you another story."
I smirked. I'd let these kids ask what story they wanted to hear. I'd do his best, no matter how hard it was to tell, or how much I wasn't there for.
"Now children, what story should I tell?"
There were several requests shouted at the same time, and it made me laugh softly.
"How about I give you an option of three stories, and you tell me which you want to hear.
For option 1 I could tell you about how I infiltrated The Tower Of Nero.
As for option 2… I could tell you how I learned I was a Son of Hades.
And finally for option 3 I could talk about my adventure to get the Athena Parthenos back to camp." I gestured to said statue which still stood proud next to Thalia's Tree.
"Raise your hand if you want to listen to option 1." I had done a head count beforehand, and knew that there were 56 campers here.
28 of them raised their hands for choice 1. Well majority rules. (I did this randomly and without thinking, so this is 100% 'random choice'.)
"Good choice everyone! And if this goes well Clarisse La Rue will come to camp next week, and tell you a story."
The campers looked very excited at the prospect of not just meeting the famed demigod hero Nico Di Angelo, but possibly Clarisse La Rue too!
"So… I had gone down to the home of the Troglodytes with Rachel Dare, my boyfriend at the time who I ended up marrying; William Solace, Meg McCaffrey, and Apollo; who'd been a mortal named Lester 'cause Zeus got mad at him, but that's a story for another day, kids."
Said children looked at me with wide eyes, and curious expressions. It reminded me of a time when I was like that too, a time before Bianca's death.
"We had just defeated the Tauri Sylvestres, also known as Forest Bulls… or so we had thought. Right as we were about to make peace with the Troggs the remaining bulls showed up, and split us up."
This day had been extremely stressful for me. Will was convinced his dad was gonna die, and I couldn't even tell him he was wrong.
"Now Tauri Sylestres are almost invincible, and only have one weakness! Can anyone tell me what it is?" I asked. If the campers had been listening to Chiron's lectures they'd know.
Several hands were raised, and I picked on a 10 year old from Hecate Cabin. "You have to get them to fall in a hole! They like, burn themselves out with anger or something?"
I smiled warmly. "That would be correct! So that's what we did. It's funny that the Tauri are enemies of the Troggs who dig holes.
Said Troggs were a big fan of hats, so through this whole story you can imagine me as a 14 year old wearing a cowboy hat, with my boyfriend who was wearing a lampshade right behind me." This elected a bout of laughter from the crowd.
"Apollo and Meg went and gave themselves up to Nero so that if we did indeed convince the Troggs to help us, Nero would be distracted.
Finally after almost 2 hours we convinced the Troggs to help us. Then it was simple. Camp Halfblood was summoned, and Chiron led a charge while the Troggs bit through the wires, and just plain messed up what they called 'shoddy workmanship'."
I shook my head. This next part was… complicated. "So after making sure the Troggs were doing what they said they'd do I ran into Nero's tower, and went looking for ol Lester.
And I got to say we wouldn't have a sun god, and Cabin 7 wouldn't exist anymore if I hadn't shown up, not to brag." Said cabin paled, and looked up at the sun.
"Apollo was incredibly injured, and a guard had a sword pointed towards his throat. I killed the guy, and sent him to the Fields of Punishment. We found Will, and got Apollo patched up.
Soon after he ran back into the fray with Will, while I helped where I could. I met up with Apollo and Meg just in time to finally kill Nero.
Of course we had to stop the sadistic emperor's Sassanid gas which would've killed us all.
Then not gonna say I'm proud of it, but I charged Nero, and got back handed… hard. I flew twenty feet and passed out. I vaguely remember hearing Will shout 'No one hits my boyfriend, and no one's killing my dad.' But its still fuzzy." Many people giggled
"When Will finally revived me, Apollo was uncounsion. Finally he woke up, and was saying some weird nonsense, that I never really found out what he meant.
Nero had died while I was half asleep, and Apollo was ready in only minutes to go face Python… the rest of that day I tried to hold it together for the rest of camp, and most of all Will." I shook my head.
"Apollo showed up 2 weeks later, and we were assured that Python had been thrown into Tartarus.
My next adventure was rescuing the Titan Bob, I assume you're all familiar?" The children nodded, and I smiled.
"Good, but sadly my time is up kids. That will have to be a tale for another day." I got up and shadow traveled home where Will was waiting for me.
I was the first of many to be passing on our legacy. Long live the demigods of Camp Halfblood.
