Long before the rise of humanity, there were the natural parliaments. The parliament of decay, which is the death and rot of all things, the parliament of limbs, which is all life of animals and things with blood, and many such others. The parliament we will focus on in this story is the parliament of Trees, which is all plant life in the universe, and the boy who became the avatar for the parliament, Swamp Thing.

15 years ago...

"C'mon mom! I wanna see what my Quirk is!!" A young boy said as he pulled his mother to the doctors office inside the hospital.

"Alright Izuku slow down!" A young woman with green hair and portly build chuckled as her son, now named Izuku, dragged her through the office door and up to the counter. After signing in and waiting for the nurse to call them in they sat in the doctors office waiting on Izuku's quirk test results. Just then the door opened and the doctor stepped in with a manila folder in hand and walked over to his chair and sat down.

"So doc what's my quirk?!" Izuku asked excitedly.

"I'm sorry kid, it's not gonna happen." The doctor said.

"W-what?" Izuku asked.

"You'll never develop a quirk I'm sorry."

At this revelation Izuku's mind completely shut off the rest of the conversation as he sat there in his own thoughts.

'Never have a quirk? Why? Is there something wrong with me? I-I'll never be like all-might now...'

"Izuku!" The boy jumped when he heard his mother shout his name, "are you alright hon?" They were in the car now on their way home and Izuku hadn't spoken since the doctor told him he wouldn't develop a quirk.

"I don't know mom...what will I do now?" Izuku said slowly starting to tear up.

"Oh sweetie I'm sure things will work out. Hey, maybe you could be a botanist! You've always liked plants and flowers right?" His mom suggested. Izuku sat there and thought about the suggestion. It was true he enjoyed flowers and plants, he even had a small bonsai tree in his window sill next to his bed that he'd look at and care for every morning. After much thought he made his decision: if he couldn't help people as a hero, he'd help the environment and it's foliage. This decision would be the biggest of his life because it was soon about to change.

15 years later...

In a small hut in a swamp just near Musutafu, Japan, the lights and sounds of electric lights and bubbling chemicals can be heard as a young man rummages around the small building for beakers and test tubes and the like for his latest experiment.

"I've done it!!" The young man shouts in joy as he lifts his goggles and holds a test tube with a florescent green mixture inside, "After countless hours of painstaking work and lack of sleep I've finally developed a formula that will revitalize plant life!!" The young man, Izuku Midoriya, smiles at his triumph in scientific botany when suddenly he hears a knock at the lab door.

"Coming!" Izuku called believing it was his mother, Inko, bringing him his dinner. He quickly walked to the door and opened it only to find it wasn't his mother at the door but three boys his age one with spiky ash blonde hair and a devilish grin on his face.

"So this is where you've been hiding huh, Deku?" The ash blonde said stepping inside the lab without being invited in and looking around the place. The other two boys were the ash blonde's "friends" who only hung around him to suck up and give the boy praise he didn't deserve.

"W-What are you doing here kaachan?" Izuku asked clearly afraid of this boy and the two others. See the ash blonde, Katsuki Bakugo, bullied Izuku ever since he found out Izuku was quirkless and made fun of the fact he studied to be a botanist which, to him, was a profession for sissies and women since it was about flowers and junk.

"I've come to see where you've been all this time? You haven't been to school in a while so they asked me to look for you and bring you today." Bakugo said which was partly true in the fact Izuku hadn't been to school as he'd been working on his research, but the rest was an excuse, " So this is your little lab eh? Kinda boring if you ask me. Nothing but stupid plants and dirt."

"Kaachan i-if you're here to bring me to school let's just go. I've finished my work for today anyway so let's.." Izuku began before Katsuki picked up a pot with a geranium in it and said, "I wonder what would happen to your plants if I used my quirk on them?" Before and explosion erupted from his hand with the pot in it causing the pot to explode and the plant to burn.

"No!! Please Kaachan let's just go! Leave my plants alone!" Izuku said trying to jump towards Bakugo but his two friends grabbed him and held him in place.

"Oh c'mon Deku you act like you care more about these gay plants than you do people..that isn't true is it?" Bakugo said standing over a large table made into a small garden with small sprouts growing from them.

"No of course not now please let's just!" Izuku began before one of the boys holding him punched him in the gut silencing him.

"Aw Deku I'm hurt! You actually care about this stupid lab than you do me? Well let's just change that shall we?" Bakugo said and started destroying the lab.

"Stop it!! Please!! You'll destroy my work!!" Izuku cried now with tears falling from his eyes as he watched his lab burn and plants die.

"Hmm what's this? Egh it's green? Gross!" Bakugo said picking up the test tube with Izuku's formula in it and ready to blow it up but Izuku broke free of the other two boys and rushed foreword towards Bakugo only to be too late as the explosion and formula splashed onto Izuku and setting him on fire.

"Oh shit..." Bakugo said shocked at what he'd done.

"C'mon man this place is gonna crumble!! Forget him! He's a dead man" one of the other boys said before the three ran out of the burning lab and Izuku screaming. Izuku, thinking of the only thing he can do, quickly ran out of the lab and into the swamp water and dove into it dousing the flames but he was so badly hurt and in so much pain he passed out from exhaustion before finally succumbing to deaths embrace. But as he sunk deeper and deeper into the swamp roots and vines grew and wrapped themselves around Izuku's corpse, dragging him into the swamp bottom below.
