That's point, Kagami and Luka were created for NOTHING more. Of course it's a shame, potentials lost in a sea of writing stupidity. More then likely, that's a great fanfic idea. You should do that. Fighting akumas is never easy. (Well Mr. Pigeon being the expectation) Still there is no Ladybug without Cat Noir. They must always be in sync, ready for the unexpected.
Their powers to backfire on them? To alter and harm them? No, never prepared for that. One suffers the other feels their pain, a partnership needs trust, understanding. There is a reason Plagg never told Adrien the true power of the cataclysm. . .

With that shout he leaps after the darken butterfly. Nothing but a quick dusting as the akuma clenched in hiss right paw gone. Destroyed with nothing left thanks to his cataclysm..
Cat Noir lands from the sky in a somersault, he feels a dizziness come over him. Fights it down, as an anger snarl nearly rips from his throat.
Ladybug's Miraculous Cure already zooming around fixing everything in sight. Yet all Cat Noir can see, can feel is a feral intention deep within.
Ladybug waves to the couple that was reunited. Turning to her partner, finding him staring transfixed on his beeping Miraculous.
"Well Kitty, great work. Sorry for-"
"I can handle things, you know." He states cutting her off. "Later LB." It comes out kinder.
Using his sliver baton he leaves without a backwards glance. Bluebell eyes watch he leave, her lips in a pout of concern.
INSIDE ADRIEN'S BEDROOM. . .
Cat Noir leaps into his room. Taking a relaxing breath before dropping his transformation. Plagg floats silently watching hiss Kitten. Adrien yawns looking drained. The kid's emerald green eyes show a fire of energy needing to extinguished.
"Plagg, goodnight-"
"Kid, call up Little Red."
He smirks seeing Adrien's smile at the mention of Kagami. With his back turned grabbing his cell phone. Adrien doesn't see the relief shine in Plagg's acid green eyes.
