The sky was inked black by the blanket of storm clouds blotting out the blue sky and sun. The rumbling of thunder and the howling of gale winds shook the prison of Azkaban to its very foundations. Flashes of lightning provided the only light within the cold damp cells of the prison. Amongst the chaos of the storm and screaming of the prisoners, a woman let out a wail.

This woman's name is Bellatrix Lestrange and the source of her pain came from her plump round abdomen. Before she had been arrested she had conceived a child with her husband, Rodolphus. She conceived with him for the same reason she married him in the first place, duty. She had to continue the Lestrange bloodline which she has succeeded.

The Death Eater wailed in pain as she gave a final push. Lighting and thunder greeted the young child as he met the damp cold stone of the prison cell. The baby let out a high pitch wail as Bellatrix gently picked her child off the floor. Looking down at the child she saw that she had given birth to a boy.

She felt joy, pure joy, "My beautiful boy, my little Rastaban." She held the baby close to her chest before she felt the air begin to chill. Her joy turned to rage, "Go away! Stay away from us!"

The steel door to her cell flung open revealing a Dementor. The cloaked creature crept towards Bellatrix as she scrambled away clutching her child tightly. Soon she pressed against the wall with nowhere to go. The Dementor barred down on her before delivering the kiss. Bellatrix felt her joy and energy seep out of her body. Her arms go limp as Rastaban rolled back on the cold floor.

The sudden cold caused the baby to wail. The Dementor ceased its punishment noticing the small child. It leaned down to face the small child investigating him. He continued to lean down as if to kiss him before a blinding light engulfed the cell.

"Expecto Patronum!"

The blinding light drove the Dementor out of the cell. Behind the source of the light was an Auror, Alastor Moody. His bulbous magical eye flickered its gaze around the room. Stepping inside the cell he made room for Headmaster Albus Dumbledore and Professor Minerva McGonagall to enter.

"Looks like Snape was right." Mad-Eye stated as Minerva gently lifted the child off of the ground and wrapped him in her robes, "She hid it well."

Bellatrix fell on her face before she began to wriggle towards the three wizards, "Asterix, Asterix" She moaned using what little energy she had to try and reclaim her child.

"She had been in Azkaban for two months." Albus stated, "She must have been on her second term of pregnancy, easy enough to hide even without magic." He said before they walked out of the cell shutting the steel door.

"What are we to do with him, Albus?" Minerva asked as she rocked the child.

"The boy must be sent to his family." Albus answered, "Andromeda and Ted would take the child in."

Walking down the corridors Minerva replied, "Narcissa won't like that, not to mention Malfoy."

"I'll speak to the minister of the matter, get the boy to his family." Albus says, placing a small hand on the boy's head calming him.

"Asterix!" Bellatrix howled from her cell as the three wizards disappeared.

Rastaban Corvus Lestrange was born on Christmas Eve in Azkaban Prison to Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange.

14 years later

A trio of ravens soared across the dawn sky above the England countryside. Atop a lone hill stood a white house where the Tonks family lived. One of the ravens descended downward before landing on a windowsill. The raven hopped into the room and landed on the wooden floor before the raven suddenly grew into a boy.

Rastaban let out a content sigh before he stretched his arms. The young teen had become an Animagus just before he finished his third year at Hogwarts. His cousin, Nymphadora, helped him brew the potion. They tried it thrice before and each time they failed either because Aster let the mandrake leaf fall out of his mouth or because he forgot to recite the incantation one day.

He was lucky when he finally got it right just before the end of term. The first time he transformed he panicked. He was in a completely new body without hands, lips or less toes than he usually had. It took him a while but he eventually grew accustomed to his new body.

A pair of deep raspy croaks grabbed his attention. Turning around he saw his two ravens land on the window sill. The ravens weren't regular ravens; they were Odin Ravens. They were highly intelligent, always came in pairs, as large as an eagle and faster than most planes. They were a gift for his eleventh birthday from Newt Scamander for his first year at Hogwarts. He sent the eggs to Professor Dumbledore along with a letter addressed to him.

The letter was vague in regards to why he sent him the eggs. Apparently Scamander was close to a distant relative of his. It was however detailed on how to care for them and how to raise them as they grew. It also came with other important information such as their lifespan, appetite, behavior and habitat.

He still had the letter folded neatly in his desk.

Speaking of his desk.

He walked over to his desk and slid the drawer open and pulled out a bag of peanuts. He unzipped the bag and reached in pulling out a handful of peanuts. He walked over to the window before throwing the peanuts down to the grass below. The pair let out loud croaks before they soared down and quickly picked out their own food.

He smiled watching the birds fly around the field searching for peanuts. They had taught him how to fly. It was the hardest part about his new form.

"Rastaban!" Andromeda called his name from downstairs.

Actually, now that he thought about it, the hardest part was keeping it from his aunt and uncle.

"Coming!" He replied before making his way to his mirror and quickly got ready.

Rastaban jumped into a pair of jeans before he put on a red shirt and black sweater. He quickly grabbed a paint brush and dipped it in a tube of black pain before he drew a '7' across his cheek. After slipping on his sneakers he grabbed his wand and rushed out of his room. Thumping down the stairs he jumped over the last few steps before he made his way to the kitchen where he found a plate of eggs, bacon and sausage waiting for him.

"Go on and eat." His aunt ordered, "We'll be headed over to the Weasley's as soon as Dora gets back."

His cousin, Nymphadora, has just been deemed qualified to be an Auror. She's been trained under the watchful eye of Mad-Eye Moody, one of the best Aurors. She's gone a lot of the time much to the dismay of her mother. Aunt Andromeda worries over her constantly and she doesn't calm down until Dora returns.

Rastaban nodded before he grabbed a fork and began to eat, "How do you know the Weasley's again?"

Rastaban knew of the Weasley twins from school, their brother Ron was friends with Harry Potter and of their sister Ginny.

"We all attended Hogwarts together, your uncle and Mr. Weasley were close friends. They've remained close since they both work at the ministry." She explained as she placed a cup of juice in front of him.

Uncle Ted works at the Ministry in the Improper Use of Magic Office. He helped catch wizards and witches who risked breaking the Statute of Secrecy. He doesn't get to do much since most wizards aren't all too keen to be around muggles anyway. He tries to make it sound exciting but he mostly helps punish underage witches and wizards who use magic outside of school.

"Speaking of uncle Ted, where is he?" He asked curiously, "He said he'd unlock the shed so I can get my broom." He took a gulp of juice.

Andromeda waved her wand and the dishes flew into the cupboards, "He said he'd meet us at the campsite. Don't worry darling, I'm sure he didn't forget."

They heard the roaring of flame from the living room, "Let's get our Quidditch on!"

Rastaban chuckled as his cousin popped into the kitchen. Nymphadora was clad in a Bulgaria jersey. Her hair was scarlet red to match her jersey. Rastaban and Nymphadora have both been rooting for Bulgaria ever since England was beaten out of the world cup.

"Dora." Andromeda sighed in relief, "Rastaban, get your things and your scarf it'll be cold."

Rastaban downed what remained of his juice before he got to his feet. He ran up the stairs and into his room before grabbing his black dragon leather satchel. He picked his Bulgaria team jumper out of his closet and quickly ran downstairs. Then he found a strange sight as Dora waved her wand over her mother's hair.

"Aunt Andromeda?" He uttered.

His aunt turned around to reveal a green streak in her hair, "What, don't you like it? Thought I'd show some Irish Pride."

Rastaban huffed out a laugh, "It looks great Auntie."

"Do you wanna show some Bulgarian pride, Rassy?" Dora offered twirling her wand.

"Sure." He laughed as Nymphadora raised her wand over his head.

"Crinus Muto." She said aloud as a white light emitted from her wand.

Streaks of scarlet appeared in Rastaban's wild raven hair. Satisfied, Nymphadora put her wand away. Rastaban looked over at the mirror above the fireplace and inspected his hair before he smiled.

"I like it." He nodded.

Clapping her hands Andromeda announced, "Alright let's go."

"I'll go first." Dora stated scooping floo powder into her hand from the white bowl they keep by the fireplace. Throwing the powder green flames erupted in the fireplace, "The Burrow!" She said clearly before walking.

"Now you darling." Andromeda gently nudged Rastaban towards the chimney, "Remember to speak very clearly."

Rastaban gave his aunt a content smile, "I know how it works." He states before looking into the green fire, "The Burrow!"

He walked into the emerald flames and the familiar feeling of being sucked in overcame him. He kept his arms tucked in as he spun around. He squinted and looked around before he caught sight of Dora. He aimed for the exit and dived through.
