We all know the tale of Naruto Uzumaki. The tale of the Number One Unpredictable, Knuckleheaded Ninja of Konoha who became the thing he always wanted to be: The Seventh Hokage. However, what if I gave you a different scene, one with a different character who is similar to Naruto in one certain way. As we all know, Naruto is/was the Jinchuriki of the Nine Tailed Fox known as Kurama, and we do know that it is possible for others to become a Jinchuriki of a Tailed Beast by someone sealing part of their chakra within someone else such as Sora.

So what if during the time of when Naruto was still a kid, there was someone else who had Kurama's chakra within them, but the chakra that person held evolved into their own version of Kurama. This person is Taro. He is the Pseudo-Jinchuriki of his version of the Kyubi. He is a member of Team 7 along with Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and their leader, Kakashi Hatake. His destiny lies within another world and he will take that world by storm as he is not only the only shinobi and Jinchuriki of that world, but one of the saviors of that world as well.

This is his story.

I, Tr33zy, present to you...

The Tale of the Pseudo-Jinchuriki (AN: This Title might be changed if I can think of a better name)

"NARUTOOO!"

"TAROOOO!"

"SASUKE!"

Three shouts. Three screams. Three cries. The shouts that you hear are from former friends now turned enemies turned at this point in time.

Sasuke Uchiha of the famed Uchiha Clan: A strong headed boy who wanted power in order to defeat and kill his brother in order to get revenge for his clan after it was massacred by him. His search of power lead him to Orochimaru, who was one of Konoha's legendary three Sannin before he defected. Orochimaru promised Sasuke that he could give the boy the power to kill his brother and avenge his clan and in turn, Sasuke would give his allegiance to him along with something more valuable that Orochimaru had his 'eyes' on. Sasuke accepted Orochimaru's offer and became his pupil, but before Sasuke could truly defect from Konoha, he ran into his two friends; Naruto Uzumaki and Taro.

Naruto Uzumaki of the Uzumaki clan: The boy is the son of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze (Although Naruto does not know this yet) and his wife, the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero, Kushina Uzumaki. This is Konoha's Number one, unpredictable, knuckleheaded shinobi, known for his disasters pranks and blatant disregard for any type of respect; Naruto has grown stronger since the day he first became a Genin, especially since he has been mentored by Jiraiya, one of the Sannin as well. Jiraiya even taught the boy one of his father's jutsu: The Rasengan. Naruto is also the Jinchuriki of the Kyubi. One of the things that Naruto prides his self on is not going back on his 'ninja way' and he made a promise to his other teammate to bring Sasuke back no matter what. He originally was going to do this alone, but his other teammate came to join him.

Taro: Taro's origins are unknown even to the current Hokage of the Leaf, Tsunade and the previous Hokage, Hiruzen. One day, the dark skinned boy was found outside of Konoha's gate unconscious, hungry, and a little bit bloody as well. Taro's most noticeable features are his spiky, black hair (AN: Think of Broly's base form from DBS: Broly) the two whiskers he has on his face, similar to the three that Naruto has on either cheek and the spiral-like seal on his stomach with six tomoe around it (AN: I decided to give him his own seal as well to make him more unique). When Taro was brought back to health by one of the medical-nin, he said that he did not know his biological parents as they were killed as soon as he was born, but he was adopted by another man and has a step brother as well. As a special request by the Third Hokage, Taro was to become a Genin when he was ready and was also put under the tutelage of Kakashi. During his time under the Jonin, Taro learned he has an affinity for Lightning Release, similar to that of his teacher. He also learned the Chidori from Kakashi just like Sasuke did. It was during the fight between Zabuza that Kakashi learned that Taro was a Jinchuriki and too his shock, The Jinchuriki of the Kyubi, but that was impossible for him to be the Jinchuriki as Naruto already has the Kyubi inside of him. To this day, Kakashi still hasn't learned why or how Taro is Jinchuriki. Taro has not been able to make contact with his Kyubi at this point in time. Taro has also learned Fire Release Jutsu and Water Release Jutsu as well, but he does not know a lot of techniques from either nature at this time.

Valley of the End

Taro went flying back as Sasuke advanced towards him. The Uchiha fired off more fireballs at Taro, who ran across the water and dodged them. The two former friends stared at each other with the intent to kill in their eyes.

"SASUKE!"

The two boys looked over to see Naruto come charging in and landed a fierce punch on Sasuke, sending the Uchiha flying backwards into the mountain. Naruto continue his attack leaving, Taro to collect himself and his thoughts. The boy looked at his reflection in the water. His hair was spiked up all over the place than it normally was (AN: Think of Broly in his Wrath state from the new movie) and red chakra all over his body that formed into the silhouette of a fox with one tail sprouted from his back. His fingernails were sharpened to the point that they almost looked like claws, his whiskers had darkened, and his teeth had gotten sharper; especially his canine teeth were starting to get longer. (AN: Think of a Smilodon/Saber-tooth Tiger's canine teeth, but a lot shorter at the moment).

"What is this?" Taro asked to himself. He looked up over at Naruto and saw that the boy was covered in the same red chakra he was except his noticeable features were somewhat different, yet similar at the same time. "Naruto is covered in this chakra as well. The only time I remember feeling this power was when I helped Kakashi-sensei fight Zabuza."

Taro stared at his reflection again before shaking his head. "It doesn't matter. If this power can help me kick Sasuke's ass and bring him back to not only Konoha, but to Sakura as well then I'll use it." With his resolve confirmed, Taro ran on all fours across the water, only to see Naruto come flying towards him. The blonde Genin crashed in Taro at a ridiculous speed, causing the two of them to go flying across the water.

"Naruto! What the hell was that for!" Taro yelled irritably.

"Oi! Don't blame me, blame Sasuke!" Naruto responded, rubbing his head as he and Taro both got up. The two of them turned to see Sasuke staring at them from across the water, his three-tomoe Sharingan flaring in the distance.

Sasuke stared at them before smirking and speaking, "You two should just give up! I'm far more special then either of you, especially you Taro!" Sasuke sneered as he said Taro's name. The Curse Mark then began to spread all over Sasuke's body, causing his hair to grow wildly long and become blue. Sasuke's skin became a dark-grey, webbed-like clawed shape wings formed from his back, and he gained a dark, star-shaped mark across the bridge of his nose.

"You're a nobody Taro! No one knows what clan you originate from or even who your biological parents are! You're nothing more than a cheap, knock-off version of that idiot next too you!" Sasuke yelled.

Taro glared at Sasuke with so much hatred that is was almost overwhelming. Before Taro could even speak or retort, Naruto beat him to the punch.

"You bastard! You take that back!" Naruto yelled. Taro looked over at Naruto in shock.

"...Naruto.."

"It doesn't matter if Taro doesn't know his real family or not! He's just as special as the rest of us!" Naruto turned and looked at his red-cloaked friend and smiled. "As far as I'm concerned we're Taro's family! You, me, Sakura, Kakashi-sensei, Granny and the whole entire village!"

Taro looked on at Naruto with awe and shock in his eyes before letting a small smile grace his face. "Thank you...Naruto"

The Jinchuriki in turn smiled his annoying little smirk at Taro before turning his attention back towards Sasuke. "What do you think Taro, isn't it time to bring Sasuke back home!"

Taro looked back at his opponent as well before settling his resolve. "Yeah! Let's do it!"

The three friends turned opponents stared at each other.

"CHIDORI!" Blue lightning appeared in Sasuke's hand before it turned a mixture of both black and grey, almost like a chrome color.

Meanwhile, Naruto gathered a Rasengan in his hand, but it was darker than it normally would be, almost a dark-blue/purple color.

"CHIDORI!" Taro's Chidori gathered in his right hand, starting in it's regular blue coloring before turning a dark purple

The three former friends launched at each other. The two Jinchuriki side by side, while the Uchiha was all alone. Their attacks collided with each other, Sasuke's hitting Naruto's gut, Naruto hitting Sasuke's forehead protector, and Taro hitting Sasuke's shoulder.

"CHIDORI!"

"RASENGAN!" "CHIDORI!"

A black dome of energy surrounded the three Genin, but the only one who seemed to notice this phenomenon was Taro.

"What is this dome of energy?!" Taro mused. He knew that their attacks colliding would do something, whether it was a significant amount of damage to each other or the surrounding area, but he didn't expect anything like this to happen. It was then all of sudden, the dome began to suck Taro into its self. Taro thrashed with all of his might to try and stop himself from being pulled in by the dome, but to no avail; his thrashing didn't matter in the end as Taro was sucked into the dome.

"Naruto!" Taro screamed out, but it didn't matter as once he was sucked into the dome, it exploded, sending Taro flying even farther through the energy. He could feel the dome practically zapping him of the red chakra that was surrounding him, making him almost go unconscious.

"D-dammit...I'm sorry Kakashi-sensei...Sakura...Naruto-oo" With those names uttered out of his mouth, Taro's eyes closed, finally slipping him into a state of unconsciousness.

Western Air Temple

Things were certainly interesting at the Western Air Temple. For one thing, the invasion plan that Sokka had planned during The Day of Black Sun backfired on not only him, but the whole gang as well as the Fire Lord wasn't at his palace during the attack. Instead, it was his cynical, manipulative, and crazy daughter Azula was waiting their for the Avatar and his friends to appear. Now you're probably wondering; Where was the Fire Lord?

Well the good ole Fire Lord was in a completely separate chamber, where he was confronted by his traitorous son, Prince Zuko. His son revealed the truth. That Azula had lied about him killing the Avatar and that she did it, that the Avatar was in fact alive and well, and to top it all off, Zuko said that he was going to join the Avatar in order to defeat his father and truly bring back honor to the Fire Nation. Fire Lord Ozai was enraged by his son's remarks and when the eclipse was over, he blasted lightning in the direction of his only son, only to have it redirected at him by Zuko.

Speaking of the traitorous Prince, Zuko had followed Team Avatar on a war balloon and ended up joining their group at the Western Air Temple after a mishap with Toph and a subtle, but serious threat made by one angry and distrustful waterbender known as Katara. Zuko has gained the trust of Toph as she vouched for him, but so far he has not gained the others trust...well not yet anyways.

"Has anybody seen Aang?" Katara asked the main group, not including Zuko. She still doesn't trust the Prince despite the fact that he says that he has changed. Not after what happened at Ba Singe Se.

"He was training with Toph earlier." Sokka said.

"Do you know where Toph is then?"

Sokka shrugged. He was sure that Aang was fine wherever, he was, but he knew his sister wouldn't rest until she found the boy known as the Avatar. "She should be by the fountain."

Katara smiled lightly at her big brother. "Thanks Sokka."

Sokka nodded his head at Katara, before the master waterbender went to walk towards the fountain and sure enough, Toph was there, picking her toes over the fountain, much to the disgust of Katara.

"Toph"

The previously mentioned earthbender didn't even bother turning around to answer Katara. "What's up Sugar Queen?"

Katara couldn't help, but slightly scowl at Toph for the nickname that she gave her when Toph was just getting accumulated to the group. It annoyed her to no end and Toph knew it. It was the reason she always called her that or either 'Princess'.

"I was wondering if you knew where Aang went off too?" Katara asked.

Toph stopped picking her toes and turned to 'face' Katara. "Eh Twinkle Toes said he was going to go meditate on the top of the hill. He said that he felt some type of disturbance and needed to 'seek the council of the other Avatars'."

That perked Katara's interest. Aang usually never ever sought out the other Avatars' aide unless it was something serious.

"What kind of disturbance?"

Toph shrugged her tiny shoulders. "He didn't say and I didn't bother to ask."

Katara let out an annoyed sigh. Of course Toph didn't try to ask Aang what disturbance he felt. "Well thanks Toph-"

SPLASSSHHH

"AHHH!"

Toph let out a girlish scream as something heavy dropped into the fountain and sprayed water all over her. Katara covered herself with her arms so she wouldn't get splashed by the water.

"What was that?!" Toph asked. Katara walked around to the other side of the fountain and what she found was something that shocked her. A boy with the skin of someone native to one of the two Water Tribes, spiky-black hair, and two whiskers on either cheek along with a strange red/black shirt along with black pants that go down to his ankles. He also has a brown bag tied around his waist and a strange headband on his forehead. He also wore black boots as well.

"It's a boy."

"A boy?" Toph asked in a confused manner.

Katara nodded her head. "Yeah he looks like he's from one of the Water Tribes, but he's wearing this weird clothing, including a headband with metal in it."

Toph perked up at the mention of metal. "Lemme touch it!" She ran over to the other side of the fountain that Katara was at and reached to touch the metal that she sensed despite the fact that she could barely 'see it'.

"Toph, I don't think is such a good idea. We don't even know who this is! What if he attacks you or something?" Katara asked in a worried whisper.

Toph snorted at Katara's wariness. "Jeez Sugar Queen, it'll be fine. Besides, I can somewhat sense and hear his heartbeat and he's still unconscious."

Reaching down to grab the metal, Toph hunched over the fountain to grab it with her tiny hands. As soon as her hands got close to the headband, someone's hand immediately grasped hers and squeeze hard, making her cry out in pain. It was the boy.

"AHHHH!"

"Toph!"

Katara was going to use the water in the fountain and freeze the boy who grabbed Toph's hand, but when she stared directly at the unknown boy, she froze. Looking directly back at her were two red piercing eyes that had slits in them. Katara could've sworn that she saw the silhouette of giant red fox with two large canine teeth staring right back at her.

"PRINCESS A LITTLE HELP PLEASE!" Toph screams as she tries to get her arm out of the boy's tight grasp. She stomps her foot on the ground and a small rock comes out of the ground. Pushing her other fist forward, the rock comes flying towards the boy. He notices the rock coming his way, let's go of Toph and jumps over the rock. Katara rushes over to the earthbender.

"Toph! Are you alright?!"

"I think he broke my wrist." Toph winces as she uses her uninjured hand to feel her other wrist. She could practically feel the bones were not only out of place, but cracked in various other spots as well. At this point in time, Toph wishes she didn't have her seismic sense as it made her pain feel even worse than what it actually was.

"I'll have to heal you later, but right now we need to get away from this boy." Katara says urgently. She grabs Toph's right arm and tries to guide her away, but the boy from earlier jumps in front of them, blocking their path.

"I don't know who you are or how you got here, but I need you to let us pass. I don't want to hurt you." Katara warns. "Can I really hurt him though? His eyes...it's like I'm staring back at a raging spirit just waiting to attack me."

The boy just glares back at her with his red slit eyes before opening his right hand. Suddenly, purple lightning begins to form in his hand much to the shock of Katara and Toph.

"He's a firebender?! Did Zuko lead them here? Is he in lead with Zuko?!" Katara thought to herself angrily. It wouldn't surprise her if the so called Changed Prince had brought this boy here to kill Aang or even take him back to the Fire Lord. She didn't have enough time to dwell on her thoughts as the boy finally spoke his first words.

"CHIDOR-AGGKK!"

The boy suddenly keeled over much to the surprise of the two benders. He fell face first onto the floor.

"...What just happened?" Toph asked. She felt the boy conjuring up lightning and now, all of sudden, could feel him on the floor.

Katara shook her head. "I have no idea Toph."

"Toph! Katara! Are you ok? I heard yelling and who is he?" Sokka points to the unconscious boy just attacked them previously. He then notices Toph's injury. "Toph! What happened to you!?""

The two female benders stared at each other before sighing. "Snoozles, you might wanna sit down. This may take a while." Toph mutters.

Inside the Seal

Taro didn't know for how long he was unconscious, but when he woke up, he had no clue where he even was. He remembered the ending of his and Naruto's fight with Sasuke and that dome of energy sucking him into it and then becoming unconscious, but he certainly didn't expect to end up here of all places...well wherever here is. As far as Taro can tell, he's in some sort of maze that had water all over the ground.

"...So how do I even get out of here? Where do I even begin to go?" Taro asked out loud, even though he was pretty sure that no one could here him.

"GRRRRRRR"

"What was that?" Taro asked. "Was that...a growl?"

"GRRRRRRR"

"There it is again" Taro began to walk through the maze towards the sound of the growling as if he somehow knew the proper direction to walk towards. His feet pushed him forward going past every brick wall and random staircase until he was brought in front of a gigantic gold cage with golden doors. From what Taro can see there's nothing inside the giant cage in front of him...that is until two red eyes and a giant row of teeth make an appearance.

"Come Closer, Boy"

Taro gulps loudly. "This THING can talk?"

Doing as he was told, Taro takes a step forward towards the gate of the cage and as he soon as gets just a little bit closer...

...

...

...

BAMMMMM!

Two gigantic claws come out of the cage and tried to almost killed Taro, but the shinobi backflips just in time to dodge the attack.

"I'm impressed. It seems that my jailer is a lot smarter and tougher then he looks."

Taro originally was going to yell an angry retort at the beast in front of him, but instead opted for answers. "Where am I?"

"You are inside of the seal that is on your stomach."

"Ok...and who are you...what are you?."

The beast grins a malicious smile. "I'm the beast that is going to break free from this cage and kill you and the whole entire world!"

The beast's revelation caused a shiver of fear to run down Taro's spine. It was then that Taro realized that he felt an all too familiar chakra from this beast.

"It's you isn't it..." Taro mutters and then turns to face the beast. "You're the one producing that red chakra!"

"I was right to say that you're smart. I am the one who produces and gives you MY CHAKRA!"

"Well I suppose I should thank you." Taro smiles. He soon regrets smiling as the beast roars loudly, causing him to fly backwards onto the ground.

"I do not need gratitude from a ignorant and stupid human like you!"The beast sneers. "I only gave you my chakra so that I would not die from your idiocy because if you die then I die!." The beast looks like he's going to yell at Taro again, but then lets out a bellowing laugh and smirks with malicious and teasing intent,

"Since you made it this far Boy, I shall congratulate you and as your reward..."

Water mixed in with red chakra began to swirl around Taro. It pushed him up towards the top of the cage right in front of the gigantic beast's eyes. It was then that Taro's expression transformed into one of shock, horror, and awe as the beast made itself known to him. The beast in front of him turned around to be something that every shinobi of any nation feared. A Tailed Beast, but not just any Tailed Beast.

This Tailed beast is a red colored kitsune with black fur around its eyes that stretched up to its ears, along with nine, long swiping tails. It also had two large rows of teeth along with it's front canines being extremely long (Just like a saber-tooth Tiger's). The kitsune also has an upper-body structure of a human, complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands. The beast also has two whiskers on each cheek just like Taro.

This is the Kyubi.

"I am the Kyubi!" The nine-tailed beast roared loudly and then looked deeply into Taro's eyes. "This isn't the last time we'll see each other, Boy. For now...it's time for you to go!"

The Kyubi release the water that was surrounding Taro and the shinobi falls, letting out a scream of fear before falling into a pool of water and going unconscious once again.

Western Air Temple

Taro woke up with a gasp before breathing heavily. He blinked a couple of times before lifting up his shirt and looking at the seal on his stomach.

"Why do I have the Kyubi sealed inside me? I thought the Leaf sealed it inside someone else...Was that person me?" Taro lets out a sigh before pulling his shirt back down. It was then that the shinobi realized that he wasn't back at the Valley of the End, but was in some type of room with bandages and a bowl of water in it.

"Am I back at the village?" Taro said out loud. Looking more at the room he was in, it didn't look anything remotely close to the hospital in Konoha. Before he could even get out and explore the room further, the door suddenly opened, causing the shinobi to jump into a fighting stance.

"Woah!" The boy in front of him said. Taro looked at the boy in confusion. The strange boy had arrows all over his body from the top of his head all the way to his legs. He was also wearing some orange and yellow robes as well.

"Hey it's alright!" The boy put his hands up in a calming gesture. "I'm not here to hurt you."

"Like I'll believe you!" Taro responded. "Where even am I?! Who are you?!"

The boy in front of him smiled and put his hands down slowly. "You're at the Western Air Temple..."

"Western Air Temple? There's no such thing in the Elemental Nations." Taro mused.

"And as for who I am...My name is Aang and I'm the Avatar." The boy now known as Aang stated.

Taro didn't say anything at Aang and only stared directly at him with a blank look. Aang, who was starting to be unnerved by the staring was going to say something else, but was beat to the punch by the boy in front of him.

"What the hell is an Avatar?"

AN: I hope you guys enjoy this story. This story is going to be a "What If" story as it'll take a different route from my "Jinchuriki's Mission" story. I am making it clear that this new story is NOT replacing 'Avatar: A Jinchuriki's Mission' in any way, shape or form. I repeat it is not replacing 'A Jinchuriki's Mission.' I hope you guys will enjoy the idea of an Pseudo-Jinchuriki actually having it's own Tailed Beast instead of it just being the beast's chakra like it was for Sora and the Gold/Silver Twins or whatever their nickname was. I personally like the idea and think it'll be very interesting.

If you guys have any questions, lemme know in a review and I hope to see you all again soon. Stay safe!
