A/N Hey guys, I know you're wondering why I'm starting a new story after I just began the last one...well, this idea was in my head and wouldn't go away while causing writer's block with my other stories so I decided to put down this chapter to get it over with so it wouldn't cause me to just sit here and not be able to update my other stories.

Anyway, this story is a remake of my Beastars one since I wasn't satisfied with how the original was going, but I've recently watched Matt Damon's Bourne Identity and it got me thinking about what would happen if similar events occurred in the world of Beastars with a human having no memory of what his life was like before after being found in the ocean shot twice and being capable of taking down a group of attackers easily.

If you don't know what I mean, then let me clarify that this human is basically the Jason Bourne in the world of Beastars while he tries to figure out his past as he goes to Cherryton Academy and spends his time there with the first two arcs showing the human discovering how he was part of an illegal assassination program that only a select few in the government are aware of and going to confront the one in charge of the program, following the ending of Bourne Identity while the Riz fight was happening.

One more thing, I've discovered that humans do exist in the world of Beastars because of Paru Itagaki confirming it during an interview once, only they are a rare species in the world of Beastars so my character is going to be stared at a lot during his first several days in Cherryton Academy, and he's going to be paired up with Legoshi so this story will be slightly AU because of it but still follow the events of the anime/manga.

Well, enough of me rambling and one thing you'll be surprised is that my character isn't an ordinary human who is trained to be highly lethal and very adaptable to any situation, but I'm not going to spoil it and the only hint I can give you is that it has something to do with his DNA being tampered with by the people who are in charge of the project so sit back and enjoy.

(3rd POV)

In the Mediterranean sea, it was pouring down heavily with lightning and thunder raging on while a boat was cruising across the ocean, the boat looking like a regular supply boat as some of the crew members that consisted of carnivores on one side and herbivores on the other were playing cards, then a fox laid down his hand and he won while taking a pack of cigs as he and the others were laughing and talking in Italian.

At that moment, a deer put on his raincoat and flipped the hood up before lifting up a box and exiting the lower deck as he stepped outside, the rain soaking the coat he was wearing while he went to the front of the boat and opened the cargo hold to place to box inside until something out in the ocean caught his eye.

The deer adjusted his glasses to get a better look while his eyes squinted in confusion, seeing what appeared to be a flickering light close by until his eyes widened in shock when the blinking light got closer and he saw that it was a shape that looked like a body as it floated closer.

The deer quickly put down the box and rushed back into the lower deck to inform the other crew members about what he spotted, prompting them to hurry outside in raincoats and went to see the body as it kept floating on the surface before one of the crew members had the boat captain steer the boat over to where the body was until the boat came to a stop next to the body.

The crew members got to work and used rope to secure the body so that they could pull it out of the water until they managed to get the body onto the boat, then the crew members were surprised to see that it was a male human who looked really young like he was in his late teens as he wore a wetsuit with combat boots before the crew members laid the body down onto the deck and stared at it in wonder.

"(W-What is that thing?)" a doberman wondered in Italian, causing the fox to look at him.

"(What's the matter, never seen a human before? Anyway, he's dead and that's a damn shame since humans are a rare species these days,)" the fox said, just before the body twitched suddenly and it caused the crew members to jump back with startled yelps.

"(My god, he's still alive!)" a coyote exclaimed before he and the other crew members quickly went to lift the human up while making sure not to hurt him by accident.

The crew members hurried over to the entrance of the lower deck and carried the human down the stairs while the boat's doctor, a gray wolf, had them cover the human up in a blanket to warm him up since it was possible he was suffering from hyperthermia and they needed to dry him off as a couple of the crew members cleared off the table they were playing cards on before laying him down on the table while the doctor got his kit.

Once that was done, the doctor ushered them out so that he could work without interruptions and the other crew members left, leaving the wolf alone as he carefully turned the human over so that he was laying on his stomach, showing two holes in the back of the suit until the doctor opened his kit and took out a scalpel.

After he finished drying the human off, the doctor used his scalpel to carefully slice through the wetsuit and open up the section where the holes were located so he could get a better look at the injury, revealing two bullet holes in the human's back that looked recent and still had the bullets lodged in them.

The doctor went to grab a pair of tweezers from his kit and concentrated as he started removing the bullets, taking one out and holding it up to examine it with a thoughtful frown while he wondered what happened to the human that caused him to get shot twice, though he went to drop the bullet in a small tray and focused on removing the second bullet until he carefully took it out and put it in the tray.

Wanting to see if the human had any other injuries the doctor was unaware of, he used his scalpel to slice open the rest of the wetsuit and pull it open until he spotted a small thin lump in the human's right hip, prompting him to use his scalpel to carefully cut open the lump and used his tweezers to pull out a small object covered in blood.

The doctor walked away from the human and went to the bathroom, washing the object in the sink and he could see the object was metallic as he looked back at the human with a questioning look, only the person on the table was unconscious and couldn't answer any questions that the doctor had on his mind so the wolf headed over to his kit and took out a magnifying glass.

The doctor used the magnifying glass to study the small object and discovered that it was a laser device, something he found out the hard way when he accidentally aimed it at one of his eyes and the laser nearly blinded him.

The doctor aimed the laser at the wall and saw that the laser reveal numbers that belonged to a safe deposit box in the city of Tokyo, which was situated in Japan while the doctor was curious as to why the human had something like this in his hip and shut off the device before turning around and discovering that the human was gone as he widened his eyes until he was grabbed from behind.

"What the fuck are you doing to me?!" the person shouted in English as he threw the wolf up against the wall and the doctor could see that his attacker was the human, who was wide awake and his eyes were wild while he looked panicked as he started choking the doctor.

"(Stop, wait!)" the doctor gagged as he felt his airways being cut off.

"What the hell are you doing?! Goddammit, where the fuck am I?!" the human exclaimed as the wolf was choking and holding his hands up in surrender.

"A boat! You're on...a shipping boat...we pulled you out of the water," the doctor wheezed out in English, then the human started looking confused and scared as he shook his head frantically.

"What water?" the human questioned as he loosened his grip, letting the wolf breathe as he coughed harshly and pointed at the bullets that were in the tray.

"You were shot, see? There are the bullets," the doctor said, just before the human started looking dizzy and he let go of the wolf before stumbling around and the doctor grabbed him to make sure he didn't fall.

"Look, there is a number for a bank, so why was it in your hip?" the doctor asked as he handed the laser pointer over to the human, who weakly took it and gazed down at it with a confused look.

"My hip? My hip," the human babbled as the doctor decided to ask him for his name and see if he could calm him down before he hurt himself.

"Yes, it was in your hip under the skin," the doctor confirmed as the human swayed with a dazed look.

"Oh god, what the hell are you doing to me?" the human groaned as he lost his balance and the wolf held him up so he wouldn't fall.

"Easy now, you need to rest so lie down," the doctor instructed as he helped the human back onto the table.

"It's okay, I'm a friend and my name is Ezio, so who are you? What's your name?" Ezio asked gently, causing the human to look up at him while looking lost and scared.

"I don't know...oh god," the human whimpered before his eyes rolled up into the back of his head and he fell back onto the table, causing Ezio to widen his eyes in alarm as he quickly checked the human's pulse and sighed in relief when he discovered that the human was still alive and decided to disinfect the wounds before bandaging them.

Meanwhile, in a government building in Japan, a coyote in a suit walked through an office section of the building and headed to a single room before knocking on a glass door.

"Come in," a male voice said, then the coyote went inside and stood before a male german shepherd that was also dressed professionally and sitting at his desk.

"It's been confirmed sir, mission failed," the coyote notified the german shepherd, who started frowning as he gazed down at the surveillance photo that showed a large yacht and began contemplating on how to deal with this shitstorm that just happened.

(Unknown POV)

It has been several days since I woke up without any memory of who I was or how I wound up in the ocean shot twice, now I was pulling my own weight by helping unload cargo or doing other chores while I discovered a few things about myself that seemed normal enough but one thing that caught my attention was that I could speak multiple languages fluently that ranged from french to german.

Not only that, I had the number 10 tattooed on my left foot and it had me wondering who I used to be before I lost my memory while the days went by.

One day, everyone was having lunch and I was busy studying the maps to figure out where I came from as I heard footsteps behind me until they stopped, and I could somehow tell it was Ezio due to the way he walks and how heavy his footsteps were.

"If you want to eat, then you better get in there," Ezio told me, but I didn't turn around and frowned thoughtfully.

"You know, based on these charts, I think I may have been closer to the coast," I said as I heard Ezio pick up something.

"What's this, you tie these knots? So, it starts to come back?" Ezio asked and I shook my head.

"No, it doesn't start to come back because the knot's like everything else...I just found the rope and did it, the same way I can read, I can write, add, subtract, make coffee, shuffle cards, and play chess," I listed while turning around and looking irritable.

"Yes, it will come back," Ezio reassured before I gritted my teeth.

"No, it's not coming back, goddammit! That's the point because I'm down here looking through this, all this shit for two fucking weeks and it's not working so I don't even know what the hell to look for!" I shouted in frustration, then Ezio sent me a look of sympathy.

"Listen, I'm sure it will come back eventually so you should rest," Ezio said calmly, just before I sent him a bitter expression.

"What if it doesn't come back? We get there tomorrow, and I don't even have a name," I stated quietly, then I gave up looking through the sea charts and went to have lunch with the others.

Tomorrow morning, I had gotten dressed and went onto the upper deck before coming to a stop at the front of the boat and just watched the view as the boat started arriving in Japan, seeing the city before me get closer as I heard Ezio approach me from behind and he stopped next to me before I was handed some yen, Japan's currency.

"It's not much, but it should last you for a few days until you make it to Tokyo," Ezio told me, and I sent him a grateful look.

"Thanks," I said as we shook hands and waited for the boat to dock at the harbor, then I got off and looked around while I could see carnivores working before I began my journey to Tokyo so that I could find out who I am.

I located the nearby train station and bought a ticket for Tokyo, then I got on the train and relaxed as it pulled out of the station and traveled the countryside while I was lost in thought and stared at the fields passing by, not knowing what was waiting for me in Tokyo but I hoped the address on the laser pointer would give me answers since that bank sounded like a lead.

After a while, the train arrived in Tokyo and came to a stop in the station so I left the train and gazed around at the number of carnivores and herbivores walking around, only the carnivores were staying at a certain distance from the herbivores and I was being stared at by other people as I continued to leave the station just before it started to get dark.

I was tired and realized that I didn't have a place to stay or had enough yen for a hotel, so I searched for a place to sleep as the sun went down and night approached until I found a bench in a park before I laid down on it feeling cold, scared, and alone while I shivered from the freezing weather and tried to get some sleep.

I eventually fell asleep and tried to stay warm but I was woken up by someone talking to me in Japanese and a light shined down at me, causing me to shield my eyes as I turned my head to see two police officers that consisted of a kangaroo and a cheetah as they stared down at me with one of them holding a flashlight.

"(Hey, can't you read the signs? Come on, let's go so on your feet,)" the cheetah officer ordered as I went to sit up.

"(The park is closed, so there's no sleeping in the park,)" the kangaroo officer told me as I sat up fully with my hand up to shield my eyes from the light.

"Okay, I'm getting up," I mumbled as I felt nervous at the thought of being arrested, then the kangaroo officer shut off his flashlight and holstered it before I lowered my hand and looked up at the officers meekly.

"(Let's see some id please,)" the cheetah officer said while I was shaking my head to clear the cobwebs.

"No, I don't-" I tried to reason and the officers started frowning suspiciously.

"(You're American and a human, so show us your id and passport,)" the kangaroo officer insisted and I looked nervous as I gulped.

"I don't have my id and passport, I lost...(I lost them, my id and passport...I lost them,)" I explained, then I did a double-take at how I just spoke Japanese fluently at the last part of my sentence without even realizing it while I held a look of complete confusion.

"(Okay, let's go so put your hands up," the cheetah officer ordered while I was trying to understand how I knew Japanese and just shook my head.

"(I just want to sleep, so can't you make an exception for tonight?)" I asked in Japanese, surprising me further as the kangaroo officer took out his baton and scowled firmly.

"(If you don't get up, we will forcibly remove you from this bench so stand up, now,)" the kangaroo ordered sternly as he tapped my shoulder with his baton, then I suddenly grabbed the baton as my eyes quickly turned cold and detached while my body language became far too calm as the kangaroo officer tried to yank back the baton.

"(Hey, let go!)" the cheetah officer demanded as he went to grab his taser.

At that moment, I suddenly reacted by quickly disarming the kangaroo officer before striking him and the cheetah officer with the baton in fast vicious attacks as the kangaroo officer pulled out his revolver, then I knocked out the cheetah officer with a heavy strike to the face and dropped the baton as I grabbed the kangaroo before flipping him to the ground and kicking him in the face until I aimed at him and the cheetah officer with the revolver.

I snapped out of it and realized what I just did, making me breathe heavily as pure panic started to settle in and I took apart the revolver without realizing it before I removed my winter jacket and left it at the scene as I started running, mostly in fear from what I've done and I was terrified of what I was capable of as I left the park and kept fleeing the ara.

I didn't know how long I ran, but I eventually came to a stop in an alley and rested against the wall until I slid down and just stared at my hands that were trembling as I started hyperventilating, feeling scared shitless as I picked up a strange smell nearby that was making my mouth water.

"What the hell am I?" I whimpered as I fell onto my side and curled up until I sobbed quietly for an unknown amount of time, then I heard the sound of footsteps that indicated a large male as he got closer and I picked up the smell of cigarette smoke as the man came to a stop a couple of feet away from me.

"What do you know, a human in the black market so talk about shitty luck for you. Damn, you look like a sorry sight for sure," the man said in English as I went to look and saw a large muscular panda with scars on his face and a cig in his mouth as he rested something on his shoulder.

"W-Who..." I tried to say and the panda chuckled.

"Just relax, kid, you're in safe hands," the panda assured gruffly while my vision grew dimmer and everything went black as I passed out from the shock.

A/N I'm sure you guys know who that panda is so hope you're excited for the next chapter, and what did you think about this one? Seems like something is going on behind the scenes and our amnesiac human appears to be right in the middle of it, and I'm sure those who are familiar with the Beastars anime/manga know what the number tattooed on the human's foot mean, but I'm not spoiling anything for those who don't know what the tattoo stands for.

Well, let me know what you think and stay tuned.
