4:21 A.M. – Somewhere in the Mountains
As he continued to pace around his lair, monitoring everything that he'd been working on recently, he couldn't help but chuckle at his good fortune.
Not a single person from that wretched W.O.O.H.P. had come looking for him for the longest time, due to believing that he had died in the avalanche at that ski resort.
Well, so sorry for them, but they should have checked for the body.
Doctor Gelee typed in a few commands on the main console to periodically check on his latest creation before returning to the machine that formed the core of his newest scheme.
"Those three little wretches won't know what hit them this time," Gelee laughed. "This world will be a world of ice and snow before long, and nature will once again reign supreme without the blight of humanity to ruin it."
Knowing that the spies would most likely discover his plans sooner rather than later, Gelee began to make preparations to deal with that eventuality.
"But... a good king needs a queen to reign alongside him," Gelee stated, looking over the profiles of the spies and the many new additions to their team since the last time they'd scrapped. If Clover wouldn't play ball, he'd find someone else who would.
Eventually, Gelee stopped on two particular spies as his targets.
"Well, my dears, I hope you're all prepared to reign by my side in an endless winter," Gelee laughed. "Because once I'm finished... well, I think you know what will happen."
Gelee began to laugh manically, his laughter echoing throughout his lair, before he had to cough a few times from laughing too hard.
"Wow. Maybe I am a lunatic," Gelee quipped. "Eh, that just makes it more fun for me, honestly."

Totally Spies: Stay Frosty
Story Rated: T for Teen
Story Created: May 5th, 2021
Story Summary: The thirty-seventh joint project between Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger, collectively known as Totally Spies: The New Adventures. It's winter vacation, and the spies are headed to Resort Ridge, a popular winter spot, to enjoy their vacation and generally not worry about school. However, Doctor Gelee, long thought to be dead after getting caught in his own avalanche, rises from the "grave" and kidnaps Melissa and Dawn with every intent of making them his "Winter Queens" to reign alongside him once he freezes over the planet and eliminates all of humanity. But this also means that Nick now has an enormous beef with Gelee, and he's going to get his sister and cousin back even if he has to trash the entire mountain to do so...
Author's Note from The Blue Time Ranger: It's time for an old foe to (Altered Beast voice) RISE FROM HIS GRAVE (end Altered Beast voice) to take on the spies once again! Yep, everyone's favorite ice age whackjob has returned for another shot at revengeance, and during what's supposed to be a fun winter vacation, no less! And, as I've said, we're inching ever closer to the season finale and our big movie, so look forward to that! But enough babbling, time to break this ice! ROLL IT!
Author's Note from Mat49324: Well, we're one step closer to our Season 3 finale of Totally Spies: The New Adventures. We're only two away from the season finale, and our second movie project. As of right now, the time period here is December 2007. We certainly hope you've enjoyed this third season so far, and be sure to expect a fourth season coming soon. Speaking of which, our second movie project is likely going on The Blue Time Ranger's page since I authored Beyond the Looking Glass HD Remix. For now, we hope you enjoy this current project, Stay Frosty.

Episode 1: Icebreakers
11:42 A.M. – Resort Ridge
"Oh my holy crapbaskets, this place is amazing!" Alex gasped as the spies came to a stop at the front gates of Resort Ridge, a recently-opened ski resort that had just begun business last winter. Apparently, it was quite popular around Beverly Hills, even drawing in people from other states.
"Yeah, Jerry wasn't kidding about that part," Sam replied. "And this is all being paid for by W.O.O.H.P?"
"Correct, Sam," Jerry answered from Sam's X-Powder. "Consider this a gift for your services."
"So, basically, just have fun up there, all right?" RiCO answered.
"Oh, that's absolutely gonna happen," May laughed. "Well, come on, everyone, let's check in already!"
Once the spies had done just that, they all stopped by their rooms for this vacation time, which they had decided to split up as evenly as they could, considering there were fifteen people in this group. So with that, Nick and Alex decided to take one room (with Klee following them, of course), Sam and Mat took another room (with Kana following them, of course), Clover and Blaine took a third room, Haruka and Bridget took a fourth room, May, Britney and Nozomi took a fifth room, and Melissa and Dawn took a sixth room.
"Wow, this is a nice place indeed," Mat commented when he looked outside to see the view.
"It IS very nice," Sam remarked when she got a look at the view, too.
"I admit, it's my first time at a ski resort," Mat told his steady girlfriend. "And it's WA-AY different from back home..."
"There's no snow in Hawaii?" Sam wondered.
"Well, there is," Mat answered. "But it's not in the area of Hawaii I grew up in; if you lived in Hawaii like me, it's all sun and sand – zero snow. Plus, you haven't forgotten that in Hawaii, any temp under 70 is considered cold, eh?"
"Hard not to forget," Sam chuckled.
Sam and Mat went back in to see Kana occupying one of the beds there. That certainly put smiles in their hearts to see Kana enjoying herself, and as their future daughter in general. They even shared a hug and kiss.
"I guess if at all, I'm glad Jerry's agreed to take me home for Christmas and bring me back after this stay here," Mat told Sam.
"I'd feel the same way in your shoes, Mat," Sam quipped as they kissed again.
"I take it you're excited for this, Alex?" Nick asked.
"Oh, heck yes I am!" Alex laughed. "It feels like it's been too long since we've been to a ski resort for winter vacation. I honestly missed it."
"Yeah, considering that the last one you went on got interrupted by Doctor Gelee," Nick responded. "Alas, poor fool got crushed by his own avalanche..."
"Let's not think about the morbid stuff, okay, papa?" Klee quipped. "Let's just enjoy our winter vacation and not think about school for a few weeks!"
"That's definitely the plan, Klee," Alex answered.
"Wait, is May already going for the slopes?" Klee asked as she looked out the nearby window to see May heading for the slopes
"Of course she is," Nick laughed. "Well, how about we take the hint and have some fun in the snow?"
"Sounds like a plan!" Alex exclaimed.
Blaine, Clover, Klee, Haruka, Britney, and the others came out... save for Mat and Sam. Kana had come with Klee.
"Kana, where's Sammy and Mat?" Clover wondered.
"Oh, I can see them," Haruka giggled, looking back at the balcony of their room.
Sam and Mat were on the balcony kissing again.
"Ooh la la!" Haruka laughed, only to be grabbed by Nozomi. "HEY!"
"Let them smooch, okay?" Nozomi stated. "I thought you'd cooled off with that, anyways..."
"But it's fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun," Haruka groaned.
"Some things don't change," Britney laughed.
"We're no different, Brit," Nick quipped as he held Alex.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Mat has anything to say about this snowy weather," Clover laughed.
Bridget looked over to see Mat and Sam leave the balcony and catch up with the rest of the spy team.
"Oh, I think they're coming," she deduced.
Klee and Kana were having a brief snowball fight when Sam and Mat caught up. The others could see May already having a blast on the bunny slopes.
"Good thing we don't have to worry about the whacked-up coach like last time," Sam replied when she and Mat made their ways to the group.
Mat was still breathing in an attempt to keep warm; obviously he wasn't used to the snow and cold.
"Getting used to it," Mat remarked, beating everyone to a punch in case he was asked. "If I had my way, I'd pick a hotel with a pool and 80-degree weather."
"I'm not surprised," Alex chuckled.
"We know you're heading home immediately after this stay here, Mat," Melissa replied. "And personally, I'm glad you still have a family to go home to yourself."
"Totally," Alex commented. "Unlike our moms who are in Europe."
"I'll say," Nick remarked. "And you have us as well, so you're not alone, bro."
"You got that right," Mat replied and gave Nick a fist bump.
"You think Jer might make arrangements for Hawaii, too?" Alex wondered.
"That would be pretty fun to go back there for a bit," Nozomi admitted. "I don't think we've all been there since our last mission in Tachikawa..."
"I still can't get over how Souji and Akira acted," Nick laughed. "I'm guessing they're not used to Hawaii-like weather in Japan, huh?"
"Well, I'd like to say 'only in Hawaii can you have a beach day in December'..." Mat laughed.
"Ain't that the truth," Bridget chuckled.
"I wouldn't mind a beach day in December myself," Sam quipped.
With the exception of May, everybody was in agreement with Sam's statement.
"WHOO!" The spies heard May scream as she went off the bunny slopes again.
Back at the top, Kana was figure skating nearby the spy group.
"I'm gonna try it now after seeing May ski," Haruka quipped.
That was when May came zooming down the hill again, and everybody got a front row seat at her jump.
"Now I know what it feels like to be Jeremy McGrath away from the test track," Mat stated.
Alex and Clover chuckled at that.
"I have to admit that Mat's got the right idea with what he said earlier about picking a hotel with a pool and 80-degree weather..." Blaine told the group.
"Killer jump, May!" Nick commented to May.
"Look at me go!" May shouted. "SUCK IT, SOUJI!"
"You can tell she's having fun, huh?" Haruka laughed. "...wait, what does Souji have to do with this?"
"Apparently, May wasn't so good with skiing in her youth," Nick answered. "Souji apparently tended to tease her about it, considering he could ski. But now, it looks like those tables have turned."
"No kidding," Bridget quipped.
"Hey, Nick, you wanna give the slopes a shot with me?" Alex asked.
"Sure, I'm game," Nick replied. "Let's show some of these posers how it's done."
"Go, mama, go!" Klee exclaimed.
The spies had no clue that they were being watched from far away in the mountains by Doctor Gelee.
"Just have to wait for the right moment," Gelee laughed.
Later that night, Nick and May were both heading back to the resort after another run on the ski slopes (May wanted to send a video message to Souji to show him up), while the rest of the spies had made a quick pit stop in their rooms to prepare for whatever their next activity would be.
"Man, it feels good to not have to worry about school for a while, huh?" May giggled.
"Speaking some free-range truth right there," Nick replied.
"Hey, thanks for coming out to the slopes with me, Nick," May stated, leaning over to kiss Nick on the cheek.
"You know I wouldn't have missed it, May," Nick answered. "Now how about we head to the lounge and get some hot cocoa before we head out to our next activity?"
"Oh, I'm all for that," May laughed.
However, on their way to the lounge, Nick's psychic senses picked up on the fact that something wasn't right.
"Everything okay, Nick?" May wondered. "Do you sense trouble?"
"Something of the sort," Nick quipped.
Now suitably on edge, Nick and May continued their way back to their rooms so they could make sure everyone else was all right before they went flying off the handle.
But when they walked by Dawn and Melissa's room, that's when Nick's senses picked up again. Slowly but surely, Nick opened the door to find nobody in the room, a slightly askew bed and a rather obvious hole in the skylight.
Nick knew that Melissa and Dawn had been the first to return to Resort Ridge before everyone else, so this kidnapping must have happened before the others came back.
Nick's eyes were then drawn to a letter that lay on Dawn and Melissa's bed, no doubt belonging to whoever had seemingly kidnapped them.
Taking a few shaky steps forward, Nick took a good look at the letter, only to find it was addressed to him.
"...what does it say, Nick?" May asked, knowing that Nick was most likely about to fly off the handle any second now. Trying to compose himself, Nick read the letter out loud.
To the boy, I know you're going to find this, so I'll make this as clear and concise as I can. Your sister and cousin belong to me now. They are going to become my new Winter Queens and rule at my side when this world is frozen over and culled of humankind. I figured I'd be courteous and let you know this ahead of time so you can wallow in your despair. So sorry to upset you.
Sincerely,
Doctor Gelee
"W-wait, Doctor Gelee?!" May gasped. "I thought he'd been killed by the avalanche that he caused, and..."
May trailed off when she noticed Nick's expression changing rapidly. Before she could say anything to him, Nick clenched his fist hard enough to rip the letter asunder before storming out of the room, leaving a flustered May to catch up.
Naturally, this attracted the attention of the other spies as they began to exit their rooms as well.
"Hey, where's Nick going?" Nozomi asked.
"And why does he look like he's going to strangle something?" Haruka asked.
Running up to the edge of the nearby ski slope, Nick let his psychic aura burst to life around him before taking off for the mountains, no doubt in pursuit of Doctor Gelee.
"Hey, May, what's the matter?" Alex asked. "Why did Nick just take off with murder on his face?"
"Long story short, Doctor Gelee 'rose from his grave' and kidnapped Melissa and Dawn, and Nick is believably pissed," May responded, activating her own Jetpack Backpack. "I'm gonna follow Nick and see if we can find anything. You all just get in touch with Jerry and RiCO, then join us as soon as you can, got it?"
Not waiting for an answer, May took off after Nick, leaving the rest of the spies to call Jerry and RiCO.
Nick eventually touched down in a rather flat area of the mountains, noting that it didn't fit with the rest of the area, most likely meaning this area had been recently landscaped for the sake of Gelee's lair.
"All right, you son of a bitch, where the hell are you hiding?" Nick growled.
"HEY, NICK!"
Nick spun around just in time to see May land in the same spot he had.
"Figured you could use some help," May quipped.
"Are the others coming, too?" Nick asked.
"They're just contacting Jerry and RiCO to let them know what's happened, and they'll be here as soon as they can," May answered. "But, down to business. We've got a mad doctor to find, right?"
"Precisely," Nick stated. "He probably has no idea the target he painted on his back for what he did."
"Let's actually find him first, and then we can rip him a new hole for snatching up your family, 'kay?" May replied.
Nick nodded, reaching out to hold May's hand as the two of them ventured into the mountains in hopes of finding Gelee's lair before it was too late.
Back with the rest of the spies, they were all in disbelief.
"Doctor Gelee?!" Clover exclaimed.
"Here we go with another mission!" Britney groaned.
"And I wanted time to detox from the semester!" Bridget exclaimed.
"Time to contact Jerry," Sam quipped as she got out her X-Powder.
"Afternoon, spies," Jerry greeted as his visage appeared. "How goes the vacation?"
"It started out well," Mat answered.
"But we've got a problem now, Jer," Alex added.
"According to Nick, Doctor Gelee has supposedly 'risen from the dead' and has spy-napped Melissa and Dawn!" Bridget exclaimed.
"Oh my..." Jerry groaned.
"We'll track Melissa and Dawn through their X-Powders," RiCO added. "Where are Nick and May?"
"They got a head start," Alex answered.
"Nobody had any idea until May told us," Klee remarked.
"We've just gotten a read on both their X-Powders," Jerry stated.
"Well, let's hear it," Mat replied.
"It appears that their signals have stopped somewhere deep in the mountains," RiCO answered.
"We're on it. Thanks, guys," Sam quipped, then turned to the spy team. "Are we ready?" she asked.
"Not quite," Mat replied. "We've got no gadgets, and more importantly... what about Kana?"
"Not to worry, Mat," Jerry remarked. "RiCO is willing to look after Kana until you spies return."
"If one of you leave your devices behind, I'll appear and keep Kana safe until further notice," RiCO continued.
"I'll also send in a few W.O.O.H.P. agents to add to Kana's safety," Jerry added.
"I'll leave my DS behind then," Mat volunteered.
"We'll be back for sure, hon," Sam told Kana.
Mat took out his DS and RiCO's visage appeared.
"And not to worry, spies," Jerry added from Sam's X-Powder. "I've also dispatched the W.O.O.H.P. jet to send you extra appropriate gadgets."
The spies immediately saw the extra W.O.O.H.P. agents outside Sam and Mat's room once they left there for the back entrance.
There were thirteen other parachutes that appeared in front of the spies.
"I'll give Nick some of the extra gadgets," Clover quipped.
"And I'll handle May," Blaine added.
"So much for a ski vacation..." Alex chastised as they moved on.
"I think I'd take Mat's preference of a hotel in 80-degree weather now," Clover commented.
"As long as there's no distasteful test from Jerry, I'm in agreement," Sam added, remembering their botched Hawaii vacation.
With that, the spies moved ahead to find Nick and May.
2:01 P.M. – Unknown Location
("Don't Wanna Lose You" by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine plays)
"Nick, can you pick up a signal yet?" May wondered.
"Not yet," Nick grumbled. "And what would Doctor Gelee want with Melissa and Dawn anyway?"
"The letter said something about making them his 'Winter Queens'," May answered.
"I swear, if he even touches one hair on their heads..." Nick growled.
"Nick!" Haruka exclaimed.
May and Nick looked to see Haruka and the others just beginning to catch up.
"Jerry has a reading on Melissa and Dawn!" Mat exclaimed.
"Let's hear it," May quipped.
"According to RiCO, their X-Powder signals are deep into the mountains," Bridget stated.
"Oh, we were just on our way up there," Nick teased, trying his hardest to stay calm. He still vividly remembered the last time he'd lost control of his emotions, and he definitely didn't want to repeat that mistake.
"What exactly happened?" Alex asked. "Why the heck is Doctor Gelee back?!"
"No freakin' clue, but when Nick and I got back to Resort Ridge, we noticed that Melissa and Dawn weren't in their room and there was a big hole in the skylight," May explained. "And mister doc left a letter to Nick, saying something about making them his 'Winter Queens' after freezing over the world."
"Sounds like he's still up to his old tricks," Haruka quipped.
"Regardless of what his big scheme is this time around, Doctor Gelee has no idea the target that he just painted on his back," Nick proclaimed. "If there's even one hair out of place on either of their heads, he's gonna wish that avalanche actually killed him!"
"Well, let's actually find Gelee's lair first before we can make good on those threats," Sam stated.
With that, the spies began following the signal through the mountain area in hopes of finding Melissa and Dawn before something happened to them.
However, after about ten minutes of searching, Haruka gasped in surprise when she saw the signals vanish from her X-Powder screen.
"Um, you guys? The signals just disappeared," Haruka stated. "That could only mean either something happened to their own X-Powders, or there's something disrupting the signals so we can't track them."
"Crapbaskets, they thought of that," Alex groaned as the group stopped by a cliff face to rest and ponder their next move. "I hate it when villains do that."
"Okay, now Gelee's really pissing me off," Nick growled, walking a few steps forward before lashing out to punch the nearby wall out of frustration. Surprisingly, with Nick's psychically-enhanced strength, the wall actually crumbled apart to reveal...
...a tunnel leading deeper into the cliff, lined with computer displays of different shapes and sizes.
"...okay, was not expecting that," May quipped.
"If I were a betting man, I'd say that this is definitely the way into Gelee's lair," Mat stated.
"Then let's head inside and find Mister Freeze," Clover responded.
Nothing more needed to be said as the spies made their way down the tunnel.
2:39 P.M. – Doctor Gelee's Lair
Doctor Gelee continued to check his computer readouts to make sure everything was going according to plan, and that all of his plans were on schedule.
"Looks like we're on time," Gelee chuckled. "I'm amazed that those spies haven't interfered with me sooner. I guess that's a great advantage to people thinking you're dead, isn't it?"
"You know, you're probably gonna wish you stayed buried," Dawn proclaimed. Both Melissa and Dawn were currently bound to the nearby wall by handcuffs made of solid ice.
"If you mean those wretches, I don't fear them, even if they outnumber me," Gelee cackled. "Numbers don't always equal victory, after all."
"If I were you, I'd be more worried about my big brother," Melissa shot back. "When he finds you, you're gonna get it..."
"What exactly about this boy is something that I should be 'scared' of?" Gelee laughed. "He doesn't seem to be any different from the others, from what I can tell of him."
"GELEE!"
Melissa and Dawn both let their gaze travel towards the doorway into the lair, which suddenly buckled and eventually broke off of its hinges, crashing to the floor with a loud scrape of metal.
The cause was Nick, his psychic aura flaring around him, having punched the door down.
"And the prodigal heroes arrive," Gelee laughed.
"I don't want to hear any of your bullshit, Gelee, so listen and listen good," Nick growled. "Let my sister and cousin go this instant or there's going to be consequences."
"Is that so?" Gelee responded. "Well, I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, boy, but your family belongs to me now. They're going to be my queens, since little Clover here clearly refuses to play ball, and when the rest of humanity is wiped clean off of this planet... well, I think you know where I'm going with this."
Gelee pressed a button on his main console, and a large ray gun device descended from the ceiling and blasted both Melissa and Dawn with a large beam of blue light that completely froze them in blocks of ice, followed by the ceiling opening and sucking them away to parts unknown.
"Now what was that you were saying, boy?" Gelee laughed, only to stop laughing when Nick flew over and slugged him in the face with a vicious right hook that sent Gelee crashing into a nearby computer console, causing him to flip over it and hit the opposite wall a second later.
"I'm not playing games with you, asshole!" Nick shouted. "I warned you what would happen if you didn't listen to me!"
"Well, too bad for you, because I'm not one to listen to petulant children who can't accept reality," Gelee cackled as he grabbed a rather large ray gun off of the wall he'd been slammed into and aimed it for the spies, firing off a similar beam of blue light that covered everything it touched in solid ice.
"Oh, lordy, he really is turning into Mister Freeze!" Clover shouted.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a project to be overseeing," Gelee laughed. "So for now, I must bid you nuisances adieu."
Gelee pressed a button on a nearby console before exiting the lair through a nearby secret door, though Haruka thankfully managed to throw a tracker on him before he could leave.
When the door closed, however, the entire lair began to rumble.
"Let me guess, self-destruct protocol initiated?" Alex groaned.
"SELF-DESTRUCT PROTOCOL INITIATED," a computerized voice proclaimed.
"CALLED IT!" Alex exclaimed.
"Let's get out of here, you guys!" May shouted, and the spies all beat feet for the tunnel, though Nick took one last glance at where Melissa and Dawn had been.
This isn't over, Gelee, Nick thought as he followed the spies.
Thankfully, they made it out of the tunnel and back into the mountain area just in time, as an explosion resounded that signaled the collapse of the abandoned lair.
"Holy crapbaskets, that was close," Nozomi sighed. "I'm glad we didn't get caught in that."
"...does anyone hear that?" Sam asked when she heard another noise.
Nick looked upwards and saw that a massive concentration of snow was sliding down the nearby mountainside and towards them.
"Are you for real?!" Klee shouted. "Now we have to out-run an avalanche?!"
"That settles it," Alex quipped. "Fate is out to get us!"
"Let's move, everybody!" Nick exclaimed as the spies all began to run from the incoming avalanche.
"Anybody get flashbacks of before?" Sam wondered, thinking back to when Mandy, Caitlin, and Dominique fell under the influence of the Inventor's spy-sassins potion. (A/N: Remember the S4 finale, Totally Busted Part 2?)
"Good point, Sammy," Alex quipped. "We barely made it out of there alive, no thanks to Mandy and the others."
"And they turned us against each other," added Clover, remembering they were turned to spy-sassins themselves.
Bridget looked back and noticed the avalanche was swallowing their gap faster than Pac-Man eating his dots.
"Geez, this isn't going to end well soon!" Bridget exclaimed.
"I know how we can save our backsides..." Nick proclaimed and summoned a psychic bubble that encased everybody.
Bridget took that as her cue and poured on the steam.
"Here we go! Sonic Mode, online!" Bridget shouted as she moved faster than a swift and a roadrunner put together and managed to outpace the avalanche.
Before long, the avalanche was no more, and the spies were safe; Bridget was catching her breath a bit from using her Sonic Mode.
"Wow, we owe ya one, Bridget!" Nozomi exclaimed.
"All of a sudden, Mat's idea of a hotel with a pool and 80-degree weather doesn't sound so bad after all," May groaned.
"I say we trade in our fur parkas and layered jackets for some bikinis and beach clothes after THIS!" Clover chastised.
"Totally!" Sam exclaimed in agreement. "But first, we got a maniacal doctor to stop!"
"'Screwed up' would be my preferable term," Mat quipped.
"Not sure where to go now," Blaine remarked as the spies trekked on.
"I'll try to get a reading on where he got to," Nick stated and used his psychic radar.
"Find something, papa?" Klee wondered.
"I can sense something about ten clicks that-a-way," Nick replied, pointing to the northwest.
"How lucky that's where my tracker is telling us to go," Haruka giggled.
In the meantime, Mat was using Sam's X-Powder to check in on Kana's safety just for peace of mind.
"Kana's perfectly fine," RiCO told Mat and Sam.
Hearing that put Mat at peace of mind; Sam was no different.
"That's good," Sam sighed. "Because I would not want to subject Kana to this freak at her age."
"We should be close now," Nozomi told the others.
("Cock On" by Goddo plays)
There was a trail near them that someone or SOMETHING left behind.
"Allow me," Sam quipped and used her X-Powder to scan what the tracks were from.
"What do you got, Sammy?" Clover wondered.
"It's from a snowmobile," Sam answered. "And I think I know who was piloting it..."
"We won't need three guesses on whom that was," Nick quipped, knowing it was Doctor Gelee.
"Are we gonna need three guesses on this?" Mat asked, finding a pink and yellow scarf.
However, Nick immediately recognized that.
"This is... Melissa's scarf," Nick stated right away.
"All right, let's not go that route thinking Gelee did what we hope he didn't," Haruka told Nick.
"Exactly," Britney replied. "We're ALL pretty resilient, and I would highly think Gelee hasn't done... THAT!"
"I wonder if he's going the chess route like he did with me," Clover told the others. "I SWEAR I was gonna die of boredom since I'm no chess master like Sam."
"Chad Reed would be sick and tired of LOSING – even at chess, in my book," Mat commented.
"Don't we know it," May remarked, remembering what Mat went through.
Bridget was then sniffing something in between the tracks. Klee was next to smell it, too.
"You smell that?" Klee asked the others.
The others took a whiff, too.
"It's gasoline," Britney deduced. "That should mean they couldn't have gotten far."
"Melissa, Dawn, I sure as hell hope you're okay," Nick stated.
"Hey, we'll get them back," Alex responded. "And then we'll make Gelee pay for trying to be a creeper."
"It's just... the way he said what he planned to do with them," Nick responded. "Just the implication alone is enough to make me sick..."
"Trust me, Gelee's not gonna get away with his whacked plans," May proclaimed. "When we find him, he's gonna get a big, big taste of the almighty anchor!"
Nick just nodded, wrapping Melissa's scarf around his neck as the spies continued to make their way through the snowy mountains in search of Nick's missing family.
Eventually, the group came across what appeared to be another dead end, staring right into a rocky cliff wall.
"Another roadblock?" Clover groaned.
"The tracker's signal still leads further this way," Haruka answered.
"Then excuse me while I make a door," Nick quipped, taking a few steps back and aiming his right hand for the cliff wall, which was now glowing a bright green. "FINAL SHINE ATTACK!"
Nick unleashed a bright burst of neon-green energy towards the wall, blasting enough of a hole in it for the rest of the fake wall to follow suit and reveal the pathway into another one of Doctor Gelee's lairs.
"No amount of fake walls are gonna stop us!" Alex exclaimed. "I hope you're ready for a thumping, Gelee!"
As the spies traversed the tunnel, Sam made sure to snap photos of the nearby computer consoles, which all seemed to show schematics for something in particular, no doubt Gelee's secret plan.
"Looks very, very overkill," May quipped.
"If he intends to freeze the core of the planet like he tried before, he'd probably need something pretty elaborate," Sam replied.
"Is he nuts?!" Bridget exclaimed. "Doesn't he know what freezing the planet's core does?! That means, putting it extremely lightly, every single person on the entire planet is BONED!"
"A lot of our villains are pretty nuts," Britney answered. "And I'm sure he's got some special way to protect himself from all of that so he can 'take his rightful place' when he's finished."
"Yeah, him and his... queens," Nick growled, the very implication of the words 'Winter Queens' making him want to flip out and break something.
Thankfully, Nick would get his chance to break something when the spies reached the lair's main control room to find Gelee poring over one of his readouts. Sadly, Melissa and Dawn were nowhere to be found.
"We really have to stop meeting like this, spies," Gelee laughed as he hefted his freeze ray gun on his shoulders and turned to face the spies.
"Yeah, well, when you pull crap like this, multiple meetings are to be expected," May shot back, summoning her anchor to her hands. "Now tell us where Melissa and Dawn are before I waltz over there and introduce this giant metal anchor to your frozen face."
"You really think I'd keep them in a side lair?" Gelee cackled.
"Wait, they do that?!" Mat gasped.
"Rules for villains, number sixty-eight," Haruka replied. "When taking hostages, keep shuffling them between your lairs to throw the good guys off their trail."
"Answer the question, Mister Freeze!" Clover shouted.
"They're away from you," Gelee proclaimed. "That's all you need to know. After all, I need time to prepare them to become my queens so we can recreate this undeserving world together."
That set something off in Nick's mind, and his psychic aura exploded to life around him, rattling the walls around them. Klee did the same thing, her own aura surrounding her body and attempting to intimidate Gelee.
"You made a big mistake messing with papa's family, mister mad scientist," Klee proclaimed. "So I hope you're ready to reap what you sow!"
"Cute intimidation tactics, little one, but nothing more," Gelee chuckled. "I told you, your family is going to be mine now, and if you want them back, you'll have to take them over my cold, dead body."
Nick took a step forward, his eyes filled with pure, unyielding rage that actually caused Gelee to take a step backwards.
"Okay, buster," Nick snarled. "I can arrange that."
To be continued...
On the next episode...
Gelee: I would appreciate it if you let me get back to my work, spies.
Mat: Out of the question, mister snowman!
Nozomi: You may have forgotten the big thing when it comes to our circle: you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!
May: And that doesn't even count Nick over here. I really think he wants to bean your face in, buddy.
Gelee: Is that a fact, boy?
Nick: Don't test me, asshole. You do not want to know what's happened to certain villains who've sent me over the edge, and I definitely don't think you want to get added to my 'list'.
Sam: Hey, I think I see our chance!
May: Well, since Nick's busy fighting the freeze guy, readers, I'll do the preview line. It seems like things are ironically heating up, so don't you dare miss the next act of Totally Spies: Stay Frosty, "License to Chill"! ...okay, how did I not see that one coming?
