The Games Begin
In a city known as Sapporo, Japan, the lives of three young people are going to change forever. One of them was at school right now, but the day was over. He finished changing out of his school's uniform and just waited for someone. This young guy was about fifteen, but he was just an average looking guy. He had brown hair with a set of green goggles on his head. He wore a simple white shirt that had the symbol for sun on it with a red vest and wore brown cargo shorts with black wristbands. He waited around until he saw who he was looking for.
"There she is." The boy said. His eyes were on a pretty young girl with straight blonde hair. She wore a lavender shirt with a jean skirt. He gathered all the courage he could to go and talk to her. "Hi, Mira."
"Hi. It's Sid, right?" Mira asked.
"It's Seth, Seth Satoshi."
"Right. Sorry." Mira said. "You're usually the quiet kid. You don't seem to say or do much."
"I'm not usually one to stand out. Anyway, I have this cool game that I thought you would like..." "To meet me." A jerk came by and pushed Seth away from Mira. He was pushed by someone who looked like a stereotypical jock with blonde hair and had muscles.
"Jaco..." Seth groaned.
"Jaco, you didn't have to push him." Mira said. "That was rude."
"I was doing you a favor. You didn't want to hang with this loser." Jaco said. "Let me be clear about something, Satoshi. Mira is smart, pretty, and top of her class. She's out of your league, especially since she's my girlfriend."
"I never agreed to that." Mira said.
"Why don't we talk about it some more." Jaco said as he escorted Mira away and left Set back. Seth couldn't stand him.
...
Down at another part of town, a young girl was leaving school as well. She had pink hair in pigtails. She wore a blue buttoned blazer with a red tie and skirt. She also had navy blue socks that reached her knees. As she was on her way, some of the other girls of her school were talking about her.
"Look. There's Rin."
"What a snob."
"Look at her, prancing like she's better than us." All of them were laughing at her, but they stopped when Rin glared right at them. She didn't seem to really care as she just kept walking.
...
Down in another part of town, there was another boy who road a skateboard through the streets. He wore sandy brown pants with a yellow shirt and a vest that was half black and half green. He had spikey blonde hair with a green visor around his head.
"Hey, Mr. Mongu!"
"Hey, Freddie. How's your mother?"
"She's doing fine!" Freddie called. He kept skating around the street and greeting people as he went until he got home. He acted like he didn't have a care in the world. What these three didn't know was that their lives would change forever.
...
Seth
After school, Seth went straight home. When he got home, he went straight to his room. Things with Mira might not have gone well, but he always has his favorite game.
"Time to get back in the action." Seth said as he turned on his computer. He reached inside his drawer and pulled out a red handheld device with a screen. It also had a lens on the back and button on the bottom. He plugged his computer into it and started up a game. "Hello, Digimon." Digimon is a online game that Seth loves playing. It's where you have a digital companion and go on lots of adventures and fight battles. "Let's do this R-mon." His digimon was a small white creature with three black fingers. The top of his head was red with pointy ear-like pieces.
...
Rin
Seth wasn't the only one who played the game. Rin plays it to. She has the same kind of device, but it's blue. Her partner was a wolf-like digimon standing on two legs with pink stripes on her back and pink crescent moon on her chest.
"All systems are a go, Cressmon." Rin said.
...
Freddie
Freddie plays the game too. His device was yellow and his digimon was a small dragon-like creature. He looked like he was made out of molten rock.
"Yeah! Let's go, Vorvomon!" Freddie cheered. All three of them play this game, but none of them were aware that it's a game that will change their lives.
...
Seth
Seth continued playing the game. It was actually his favorite game of all time. As he was playing it on his computer, he saw another digimon approaching R-mon.
"Let's see who we have here. Good thing I have my trusted D-scan." Seth said. He was referring to the device plugged into his computer. It gave him data on the digimon R-mon encountered. "Gaossmon. A rookie digimon, and his attacks are Kilo Flame and Head Strike. Let's see how tough he is." Seth tried putting in some commands to help R-Mon fight off against Gaossmon. He kept the attacks going until he saw Gaossmon turned to data. "Simple and easy. It must be so cool to fight like that. I wish I could be a part of this." His wish would soon come true. Seth loved playing this game, but it changed when he saw a whole lot more Gaossmon coming in. "Where did all of them come from?" Seth thought this could be a real problem, but he was glad he saw fellow digimon helping out R-mon: Cressmon and Vorvomon. "Sweet. Looks like I have some backup." Seth was going to keep playing until he saw the screen froze. "Oh man." The screen wasn't doing a thing until a message popped up.
"Do you want to play the ultimate game? Yes or No."
"What's this all about?" Seth said. He wasn't the only one who got that message. Rin and Freddie were getting the messages too. "The ultimate game? Let's see." He clicked yes, as did Rin and Freddie.
"Hold up your D-scan to the screen."
"This is weird, but maybe it unlocks a cool part of the game." Seth said. He held out his D-scan to the screen. Freddie and Rin did the same thing. When they that happened, a bright light shined through their computers and each one of them were pulled inside.
...
"What's happening?!" Seth called as he, Rin, and Freddie were taken through some sort of portal. When Seth arrived at the end of the ride, he rolled down a grassy hill until he hit the bottom. "Ouch. That wasn't fun." When Seth tried to get up, he was tackled by Rin and Freddie when they crashed down as well.
"Hey. Watch where you're standing." Freddie said.
"Maybe you should watch where you're falling." Seth complained.
"What's going on? Where am I?" Rin asked.
"I don't know." Seth said. "By the way, are you two okay?"
"I think so, but that was a wild ride." Freddie said.
"I take it that since you two are just as confused as I am, neither of you know where we are or what's going on either. Just who are the two of you?" Rin asked.
"Uh... My name is Seth, Seth Satoshi."
"How's it going? My name is Freddie Mizuno."
"I'm Rin Riverdale. Now that we got introductions out of the way, what are we doing here? Where is here anyway?" All of them looked around and saw they were in some sort of grassy field.
"This is weird. Is this the ultimate game?" Seth asked.
"Hold on. Were you both playing that online game called Digimon? Did you two get a strange message too and hit accept?" Freddie asked.
"Obviously all three of us did or else we wouldn't be wherever we are." Rin stated.
"What the heck is going on?" Seth questioned. They didn't get the chance to answer as they heard someone walking over to them. What surprised them the most was the fact that they were the Gaossmon from the game. There appeared to be a lot of them as well. "No way! Those are the Gaossmon I was battling against in the game!"
"Same here!" Freddie said.
"They're somehow real. Were we somehow pulled into the game?" Rin questioned.
"Uh...they don't look too friendly." Seth nervously said. The Gaossmon were snarling at them and looked ready to pounce.
"Here's an idea. How about we...run!" Freddie claimed as he and the others turned around and started running up the hill. As soon as they started running, the Gaossmon chased after them. This was all very strange and random to the three of them and they had no idea what to do. Right now, they're just focusing on not getting eaten by them.
"Kilo Flame!" Each one of them launched fireballs at them. The landing fireballs caused Seth to trip.
"Oh no!" Freddie said as he and Rin saw he was in trouble. A Gaossmon went to take a bite out of him. Seth thought he was done for, but someone came and saved him as Gaossmon was kicked back.
"No one is eating this guy while I'm around!" Seth couldn't believe what he saw. He was faced with R-mon himself.
"R-mon?!" Seth said.
"That's me. I'm so flattered that you know my name." R-mon said. Seth couldn't believe it. His own R-mon was right in front of him and actually just saved him.
"That's the same digimon I saw on my game." Rin said.
"Same here. Where'd he come from?" Freddie questioned.
"The same place we did." Freddie looked to his side and was surprised to see Vorvomon.
"You're lucky we came here when we did." Rin was shocked too to see Cressmon.
"They're real?!" Rin said. All three of the humans were amazed and couldn't believe any of this. It just seemed too good to be true.
"Cressmon! Vorvomon, let's take them!" R-mon said as he and the other three digimon went to attack.
"Sun Beater!" R-mon called on a metal staff with a sun on it. He bashed it against the Gaossmon as hard as he could.
"Crescent Claw!" Cressmon launched crescent-shape blades from her claws and slashed against each of them.
"Petit Flame!" Vorvomon spewed fire and hit some himself. All three of them were able to fight them off with Seth and the others amazed. This is probably someone has no one have ever seen before. The three of them were able to fight off the Gaossmon easily as they retreated.
"Yeah! You better run!" R-mon shouted. The three digimon turned to the humans with all of them still amazed. "No need to thank us, but fill free to do that."
"Hold on. What the heck is going on? Where the heck are we?" Seth said.
"You're in the Digital World. Duh." Vorvomon said.
"Digital World?!" All three of them said as the surprises just kept on coming.
"You three are humans. You're not suppose to be here." Cressmon said.
"Humans? Cool!" R-mon said.
"Can you three help us? We don't have a clue as to what's going on around here." Seth said.
"No worries. Look over there." R-mon said as he pointed further ahead to show them a village. "There's a digimon down there that can help you with your questions. Trust me when I tell you that it's never a dull moment with me."
"I might take your word for that." Seth said. It would seem that the three of them have just stepped into something incredible.
...
Meanwhile, in another part of this Digital World, dark forces were at work. These dark forces are within a castle in a dark wasteland. One figure looked over a map of an area, the same are Seth and the others are in.
"Things seem to be going well in the reports." He said as two other figures stood with him. "Piece by piece, the Digital World shall be ours, and no one shall stand in our way." Seth and the others seem to have gotten themselves into some sort of trouble. Whatever the game they just agreed to play, it's going to be unlike anything they've ever played before
Seth: This is crazy. I thought Digimon was just a game, but apparently they're real. I can't believe I'm actually talking to R-mon. It's about to get more complicated because some evil army is attacking. R-mon may have had a good first impression, but it's not looking that good this time. Apparently, I have to do something to help him, but what the heck am I suppose to do? It's all happening next time.
