"And that wire goes... there." Izuku says to himself, connecting a small wire to an even smaller connection port, before pushing himself back in his rolling chair, a small silver box with a golden topping sitting in front of him. Out the top pokes the head of a small pink bust. "Ugh, I wish I could be outside training with the others right now…" The greenette looks out the window, seeing some explosions. "...On second thought, maybe it's best I'm in here with you, Asuna."

A brunette woman in a business suit smiles, looking at Izuku before cringing a bit at the noise outside. "Yes, I think I'd have to agree with you there." The woman says, before getting up to look at the box device. "It seems to be coming along quite nicely, Izuku. I think if you keep at your current pace, you should have it finished by tonight." She says, before looking back at the boy. "That said, I can't help but notice you've been a bit quiet today. Usually when you've worked on the rewiring of Gashat's, you're much more talkative. Is there something on your mind?"

Izuku looks back outside, the explosions getting larger, before quieting down for a moment. He gazes at one of the mountainsides, before letting out a sigh. "No, i-it's nothing." He says, before attempting to scoot his chair back forward. Asuna stops the chair with the bottom of her shoe, Izuku looking up at her in a confused shock. "Did I do something wrong?"

Asuna lets out a sigh herself. "No, Izuku. It's what you're not doing that has me doing this." She says, taking her leg back before kneeling to meet the boy close to eye level. "Izuku, as someone who's been part of your family for over two hundred years, as well as a medical practitioner, it's my job to take care of you. Not just your physical wellbeing, but your mental one as well. I know putting together your ancestor's old tech can be tedious, but-"

"I know, I know." Izuku says, looking away. "But it's nothing to do with putting together this tech, I like doing it like you said, it's just…" Izuku takes a breath, before pulling out a large buckle, colored in a bright neon lime green and neon pink. "I'm the successor to my how-ever-many-times-great-grandfather, a man I never met, but is heralded in history as one of the greatest medical professionals in history. But, unlike his dream of saving lives in a hospital, I chose to save people out on the streets, or forests, or anywhere I'm needed. Not to mention, I'm also inheriting a title with a legacy even longer than that, one that hasn't been touched in who knows how long." Izuku puts the belt away. "Not to mention everything that's been happening lately. What with the I-Island incident a couple weeks back, the Hero Killer before that, and I'm convinced that half the class, myself included, still have nightmares about the USJ. It's just… Am I doing anything right? Or am I just struggling in vain?"

Asuna looks at the dejected look in Izuku's eyes, before getting up and shuffling closer to him, before hugging the boy. "Izuku, you know from how often I say it, that everyday you remind me more and more of Emu." She backs away, holding her hands on the boy's shoulders. "And while he may not be here, me and Parad are so proud of the people that have come after him, and that includes you. And I know that Emu would be so proud of you as well, if he were here." Asuna looks over at the Gashat on the desk. "Izuku Midoriya, the quirkless gaming genius, so hurt by the world he learned as much as he could about medical and surgical practices and procedures, learned as much as he could about coding and engineering to repair that old device in his attic, and has done everything he could to save anyone he could see in need of help. That gashat, and all of the others you've worked on so far are proof of that." She looks back at Izuku. "The legacy of your title is one that shouldn't be contested either. If any of the originals were alive today, they would've looked upon you with pride. Never forget that Izuku. You are just as incredible as people say you are."

Izuku looks at Asuna, before nodding, a small smile on his face. "Thank you, Granny."

Asuna smiles. "Been a long time since you called me that, it feels nostalgic." Asuna leans back upright, letting out a resolute breath of air. "And you're more than welcome. You know that you can come to me with any problems. Whether it be these heavier ones, or lighter stuff like your crushes."

"A-Asuna!" Izuku squeaks, causing the woman to giggle. "L-Let's just get back to work, o-okay?!" He squeaks again, a blush covering his face. He zooms forwards to the desk in his chair, grabbing the gashat with a fumble, before trying to get back to work. He looks at the device with vested interest, before raising up a spare wire, twirling it around his finger idly.

Asuna recognizes the action, but says nothing about it. Whenever Izuku wants to talk about the girl he's copying the motion from with Asuna, will be whenever he's ready.

It was later that night, after having made a curry that was at least serviceable, that Izuku looks out into the forest.

"Hey, Midoriya!" One Kyoka Jirou shouts, catching the greenettes attention. "Was wondering when we'd get you back to Earth man. Where's your mind been?"

"Oh, s-sorry, Jirou. I was… I was just worried about Kota, is all." Izuku replies, getting a nod in response from the girl. "I saw him head off in that direction, and I don't think he's eaten."

"I get it. Always worrying about someone, huh, Midoriya?" She asks, getting a small blush out of the boy. "You know, I think there might just be enough left in the pot for a small plate, if you want to bring that to him."

"R-really?" Izuku asks, getting another nod from the girl.

"Mhm. I'll even bring it over to you, so you can spare your legs just a little more for the trip." She offers, getting a smile from Izuku in response. She walked off, twirling a jack around her finger, before coming back with a small plate like she said a few moments later. "Here you go man." Kyoka says, before handing the plate over.

"Thank you so much, Kyoka. This means a lot to me." Izuku says, getting a small wave off from the girl in response.

"Hey, it's no problem man. Just make sure to come back before lights out, alright? Don't want you getting in trouble. And hey, maybe at some point after the training tomorrow, we can hang out." She says, looking away.

Izuku looks at her slightly shocked, before turning away. "I-I'd really like that." He says, before turning off and walking away. If Kyoka blushes a little at her successes, nobody says anything (for fear of getting their eyes poked out).

It took only a few minutes for Izuku to find the young boy who was living with the Wild Wild Pussycats. The kid had been sitting at the edge of a cliff somewhere towards the inner part of the forest. "Hey, Kota." Izuku greets, getting only a look away in response. Izuku chuckles a bit, having expected this response. "I-I uh, brought you some food." He says, further receiving no response. He steps closer, looking out at the sky. "It's a really lovely night out tonight, huh? You sure don't get stars like this back in the city." No comments. "You know, I'm jealous you have a place to look at them like here. I wouldn't have been able to find it normally, but I followed some scratch marks on the trees to get here."

Kota lets out a grumble, which isn't much but it's something. Izuku shuffles a bit closer, but that just sets the kid off. "Can you just leave already?! I don't mind you prancing around, because you weren't out trying to show off your Quirk like the rest, but if you don't get out of here, I'll hit you where it hurts again!" Kota shouts, Izuku taking a step back. The boy looks away in a huff, before speaking again. "Trying to improve on that quirk stuff is so stupid. Showing off in front of others… So pointless."

Izuku looks at Kota worryingly, before looking away. "Uhm… About your parents… They would have happened to be the Water Hose heroes, would they? The ones with the water Quirks?"

Kota looks back in anger. "Who told you?! Was it Mandalay?!"

"N-no, it's just that… Well, sorry. I heard a little about what happened to them, and based on that I figured… I remember reading about what happened to them." Izuku explains, Kota looking back away.

"Whatever, just go away already. Everyone here is crazy, calling people stupid things like 'heroes' and 'villains', and then killing each other because of it. Always focusing on their stupid Quirks. If they hadn't been showing off, they'd still be here. Idiots." Kota scowls, kicking a rock off the cliff. "We're done, now go back to camp with the other losers, and get back to your stupid quirk training."

Izuku tightens his grip on the plate of food, a small frown forming on his face. "Kota… I'm actually quirkless." Izuku says, the kid looking at him in a slight confusion. "I-I figured you wouldn't know what that is, we're not exactly a big group. But um, basically, I was born w-without the ability to have a quirk. I'll never develop one, not unless there's some sort of miracle where a quirk can be passed onto me."

"What are you talking about? Of course you have one, you're like all those other idiots down there." Kota says, Izuku shaking his head.

"No, Kota, I'm not. Everyone down there, they're training extensions of themselves that could save lives, while I'm stuck inside, trying to figure out different ways to keep myself and others alive." Izuku walks over to the boy, crouching down and setting down the plate of food, before fully sitting with his legs hanging off the cliffside. "I've faced a lot of hardships in life because of it. Did you know that All Might, the Number One hero, told me to my face that I could never be a hero?"

Kota looks at Izuku in surprise, before quietly sitting next to him. "He did?" The kid asks with a sort of scared amazement in his voice.

Izuku nods. "One of the worst days of my life. But, I decided to keep trying anyways, and you know what? That very same day, I proved him wrong. I ran in and saved lives, because all of the other show offs were too busy gawking in fear to do anything."

Kota looks at Izuku in awe, the greenette glad to have the boy's attention. He might be traumatized, but he's still a kid. Tell an interesting story, and they're bound to listen. "I still remember it like it was yesterday.

The heat of the flames licking at Izuku's skin, the amorphous slime attached to Kacchan's body, the monstrous glitching creature having spawned from the blonde who was currently phasing in and out of existence. The old devices in the greenette's hands, and the rushing of the wind in his hair. The crowd of civilians and heroes behind him, and the injured man among them all, staring at Asuna, who stared at Izuku in hopes.

"Kachaan's fate… Will be decided by my hands!"

"MIGHTY ACTION X!"

"I guess what I'm trying to say though, Kota, is that in the end, it's not about the quirks. Quirk or not, there are people out there who would do anything to hurt others, and in return there are people who would do anything to help others as well." Izuku raises a hand hesitantly, before giving the boy a pat on the shoulder. "I… I know it's a lot to think about, but give it a try, okay?" Izuku requests, before standing up, and walking away.

Kota watches him go, before looking at his plate of food.

A new day rises, and Izuku is finally outside, the green and pink belt strapped to his waist, as he holds the now refurbished Gashat in his hands. "So, we're finally going to be training with this one, right?"

"That's right!" Asuna cheers, the woman now dressed in a very bright pastel yellow, green, and pink outfit, her hair also pink to match. "Though, there are some important details to consider before you do that." Izuku tilts his head in confusion, before Asuna crosses her arms. "This Gashat is the most powerful one you'll have used so far, blasting you from Mighty Brothers' Level Twenty, up to Level Ninety-Nine. Along with that, you'll have some very powerful abilities that could make or break any confrontation. From here on, every Gashat you repair and train to use, will need to be warranted with this question: Are you prepared to handle the kind of power this game possesses?"

Izuku looks at her in caution, before looking at the device. "W-what can it do, exactly?"

Asuna sighs, as she remembers the days of old. "This game was created in a time of desperation, just as your next will have been as well. However, this one came at a time when we needed to change the outcome of a situation. This power will grant you the ability to rewrite certain aspects of things. The closer it is to data, the stronger the rewrite will be. Moreover, you do have the ability to rewrite aspects of people, possibly including-."

Izuku's eyes widen. "Their Quirks."

Asuna nods. "It's only theoretical, of course. That said, I still think it wise to consider using this power as little as possible. So, I ask again: Are you prepared to handle the kind of power that this game possesses?"

Izuku looks at the Gashat, before looking at Asuna. "I am."

Asuna smirks. "Then let's start the training." She says, before snapping her fingers.

"STAGE SELECT."

Izuku runs through the forest, trees caught in a blue blaze, as smoke piles into the sky. How did the villains find them? None of this was publicized, why are they being attacked? What's going to happen to them? Are his classmates going to be okay? Is K-

The sound of shifting rubble interrupts his thoughts, and Izuku shakes his head clear. "Kota!" He shouts, wrapping his arms around the boy, before rolling out of the way of a large fist. Izuku comes to a stop, still holding the boy in his arms. "Kota, are you okay?" He asks, before letting the boy go.

"W-why?" Kota mutters, watching as Izuku gets up to stare at the man attacking.

"Oh, you were one of the guys on the list." The man speaks, Izuku tensing a little. "Yeah, the head wanted you for, oh what did he say… Oh yeah, 'Beating my game without permission'." The man smiles wickedly, glaring at the teen.

'Damn it, I came up here hoping to keep Kota from getting in contact with villains. To think one would show up here… Shit, my phone broke from the impact too! The only person who knows I came this way is Asuna, but she's busy evacuating everyone else… I can't expect backup, it's just me up here…' Izuku thinks to himself, standing up as he slaps the buckle to his waist. 'I'll have to do this myself.' He pulls out a thinner pink Gashat than the one he had been working on, keeping his gaze on the villain. 'I need to fight… But I need to keep Kota safe while I do so… Damn it, if I hadn't left Mighty Brothers back home this would be no problem, Deku could have fought this guy, while Izuku kept Kota safe…' Izuku looks back at Kota, the boy looking at the man, tears in his eyes. 'No, I can't think like that. I've gotta believe and take that risk!'

"MIGHTY ACTION X!" The device yells as it's activation button is pressed, a large holographic screen forming behind Izuku, various blocks and bricks moving out from it

"Kota, it's all going to be okay." Izuku says, a shaky smile on his face. "I'll protect you and your smile."

"'Protect you and your smile'? That sounds just like what someone who wants to be a hero would say." The villain smirks, pink flesh sprouting out from his arms. "Hey hey, I bet you didn't know this kid, but they call me Muscular. I'll be the one killing you today, got it?"

A sudden gust of wind blows through Izuku's hair, his shaky smile turning serious. "No, there won't be any killing today." Izuku spins the Gashat, before transferring it to his other hand. "Dai Henshin!"

He slams the device into his belt, before opening the handle, a holographic screen appearing in front of him. "GASHAT! GACHAN! LEVEL UP! MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MIGHTY MIGHTY ACTION X!" The device and belt scream, as the screen passes over Izuku, pink adorning his torso and upper arms, black dressing the rest of his limbs as they attach to neon greens. The helmet forms along his head, starting with the goggles that turn into the familiar orange eyes of Mighty, the Genm Corp mascot from years and years ago.

"Tch, you all are so alike, showing up and talking about justice. But this is just fine. Your name is Midoriya, right? We were told to take the initiative to kill you. I'll make sure to torment you thoroughly, so show me your blood, kid!" Muscular shouts, throwing aside his cloak and revealing his blood red shirt. He launches forwards quickly, throwing a right hook at the boy… Which is caught quickly. Muscular grins wildly, if confusedly.

Izuku struggles to hold the punch back, before finally being launched into the cliff side. A single piece of his health bar is stripped away.

"Oh, I almost forgot. If you happen to know, please tell me, where's that kid named Bakugou?" Muscular asks, standing up with a grin.

Izuku gasps a little. 'Kacchan?! They're after him?'

"Despite how much I'd love to stick around and play with you, I still have a job to do!" Muscular shouts, dashing to Izuku and punching a hole in the cliffside.

"Shit!" Izuku proclaims in english, just barely missing the attack. He takes out a red Gashat from his holder, blowing at the bottom. "Dai Dai Dai Henshin!" He shouts, before pressing on the trigger, and repeating the process of transformation.

"GEKITOTSU ROBOTS! GASHAT! GATTAN! GACHAN! LEVEL UP! A GACHA! BUTTOBASE! TOTSUGEKI! GEKITOTSU PUNCH! GEKITOTSU ROBOTS!" A second holographic screen appears in red, Izuku jumping through it, as red and white armor adorns his torso, a large metallic fist now covering his left hand.

"I'm gonna take that as an 'I don't know'. That's fine right? Well then…" Muscular crouches a bit, before launching himself forward, kicking out a leg. "Let's play!" He screams, reaching for Izuku's chest. The armored teen catches the leg with his arm, just barely softening the blow.

'Did he get stronger?!' Izuku thinks to himself as steam begins to pour out from the robotic limb. Izuku just manages to push the kick back, before punching out with his normal arm. It's not going to be as strong as the other, but his stats are still heightened in this form regardless. His fist connects with the man's arm, more pink flesh wrapping around the appendage.

"Huh? Is this all you've got? You're quick on the draw kid, but I don't think you're as strong as Shigaraki made you out to be!" The man tosses Izuku to the side, the armored teen scraping against the ground. A couple more segments in his health bar are lowered, he can feel it. "See, my Quirk lets me power-up my muscles! I increase my speed and strength by increasing the fibers so much that they break out from my skin! What am I trying to say?! I'm bragging! A punk like you in armor like that doesn't stand a chance against someone like me!" Muscular pounces, punching into the ground in front of Izuku, the quirkless gamer jumping out of the way. The villain then launches up, following after the boy. "Do you understand how I feel? I can't help but laugh!" Muscular punches Izuku back into the ground, the health bar lowering further. Izuku was right, the man was getting stronger by the second. The armored teen rolls along the ground, pain coursing through his body. "You'll protect him?! How'll you do that?! Don't just spout bullshit unless you can pull it off! Be honest with yourself!" Muscular raises an arm, getting ready to throw it back down on Izuku, before a small rock hits him in the back of the head, causing him to turn around.

"Water Hose…" Kota begins to speak, Izuku listening in closely to the boy. "Papa… Mama… Did you torment them like that, too, before you killed them?!" The boy asks through shuddered breaths, Izuku's eyes widening underneath the helmet. This man… He was the same who killed Kota's family…?

"Huh? Seriously? Your parents were those two? This must be fate! You know, it's thanks to those two that my left eye is artificial now." The man points at his eye, smiling all the while.

"It's your fault… It's because of guys like you… That things always always turn out like this!" Kota screams, tears stinging at the edge of his eyes.

"Kids are always shifting the blame like that." Muscular says, shocking Izuku and Kota both. "That's not good. It's not like I have a grudge about the eye or anything, you know. I just wanted to kill, have a bit of fun. And those two wanted to stop me. It was the result of all of us doing what we wanted. What's wrong is being unable to do something that you just can't do." Muscular states, before walking towards Kota, a malicious grin on his face. "Just like your mommy and daddy!" He stops, before turning around. "Which means, you're coming now aren't you, you piece of trash!" He swings a fist… Only to meet empty air. Muscular looks down, seeing the robotic fist launching upwards, hitting him in the chin. It's an empty attack, obviously, but not what he was expecting.

"You're the one who's wrong!" Izuku shouts, coming from above, his heel slamming into the back of the villain's head, propelling himself towards Kota. He lands on the ground, his feet sliding as he breaks to a stop. "It's not a matter of whether or not a person can do something! A hero's job, whether they be a pro or not, is to risk their life to make those dreams you've called bullshit into a reality!" Izuku turns around, presenting the silver and gold Gashat he had been working on.

'Why…? He's the one getting beat up, but he's still worrying about me…' Kota thinks to himself, as he looks up at Izuku.

"And what can you do? I've already blown past you several times, kid. I'll admit that armor is tough, but sooner or later it's gonna crack and I'll be able to see that blood of yours spilt on this cliffside. Hell, maybe I'll even kill that kid for a bit of fun too." Muscular boasts, swinging his arm a bit.

"This encounter you've called fate, if it ends in bloodshed like you said, then I will change it… Kota's fate will be changed by my hands!" Izuku screams, the orange eyes of his armor glowing brightly as he presses down on the button of the game.

"MAXIMUM MIGHTY X!" A small bout of dramatic music plays alongside the announcement, a new holographic screen appearing, the outline cased in a dull bronze. Izuku removes the devices from his belt, placing them in the holders, before taking the one in his hands and placing it into the belt instead. "MAXIMUM GASHAT!"

"Max Dai Henshin!" Izuku shouts, closing the panel of the belt, before opening it once more.

"GACHAN! LEVEL MAX~!" The screen raises into the sky, floating back slowly, as a giant replicant pair of the helmet's goggles start to form out from it. "SAIDAIKYU NO POWERFUL BODY! DARIRAGAN! DAGOZUBAN! SAIDAIKYU NO POWERFUL BODY! DARIRAGAN! DAGOZUBAN!" The belt loops, as the giant metal structure forms. The red armor dissipates from Izuku, leaving him back in the regular armor, before the teen slams on the bust of the game, popping it into the rest of the cartridge. He jumps up, as the goggles split open like a mouth, swallowing the armored boy. Golden, silver, and grey limbs sprout out from the sides, arms ending in giant pink mechanical fists, and legs in huge green mechanical boots. "MAXIMUM POWER~ X~!" The helmet pops out from the top, huge golden spikes forming along the shoulders, as the hero student crashes back down to Earth.

The three figures atop the cliff stand in silence for a moment, before Izuku shifts the mecha suit a little. "Kamen Rider Ex-Aid… Level Ninety-Nine!" He shouts, clanging the fists of the suit together.

Muscular stares at the boy, before laughing maniacally. "BAHAHAHA! You know, I thought the pink was a bit much, but this is just kind of ridiculous! If you really think that something this dumb will do you any good, then come on!" He taps his chest, lowering the muscles in that spot a little bit. "Hit me right here!"

Izuku stands still for a moment… Before he's gone in a flash, dust left behind in his wake. Muscular and Kota look in surprise, before Izuku reappears right in front of the villain, a fist reared back, before launching the punch forwards… And forwards… And forwards and forwards and forwards, the limb attached to the fist extending on and on along the cliff, pushing the man back more and more, before pulling him back in, only for Izuku to punch the side of his head with the other fist, launching him into the cliffside. "I told you, a hero's job is to turn dreams into reality. Using this power, I'll stop you, and save Kota!"

Muscular coughs a bit, pulling himself out from the cliffside. "Hehehe...HAHAHA! YEAH, GET ANGRY! NOW THIS IS A GAME!" Muscular pokes at his artificial eye, swapping it with a different plastic bit. "You even have me switching to my serious eye. Oh, I'm really going to enjoy this playtime."

"'Game'? 'Playtime'? Is all that people's lives are to you?! The murder of life is nothing more than sick kicks to you?!" Izuku shouts, stepping closer to the man. "This is nothing more to you than another day… I'll change that. I'll make you face the truth for every action you've committed against others. If this is a game… I'll clear it, with no continues!" Izuku shouts, poking the chestplate of his mecha armor with a thumb.

Kota looks up in awe at the teen, tears still stinging I'm his eyes. 'Why…? Why go so far for me? I-I hurt you! I hated you! Why…?'

"Haven't you learned by now?! Don't make promises you can't keep, boy!" Muscular yells, pouncing at Izuku once again. The teen meets hands with Muscular, the two grappling, as more and more muscles pour out of the villain. The two continue to struggle against each other, Muscular gritting his teeth as he continues to push against Izuku. The helmet of the armored teen stares back, the orange eyes glowing as his arms begin to push back further, no sound leaving his lips. "Damnit kid, you aren't kidding with this strength… I'll just have to add even more!" More and more muscles pop out from the man, as steam begins to pour from the joints of the mech suit. "Hah! You're really pushing it's aren't you kid?!" The villain grins wickedly, before Izuku shakes his head.

"No. In fact, I'd say you're the one who's struggling." Izuki says, as the steam pouring out covers up his helmet, and Muscular finds his legs now dug into the ground.

"What the hell?! Were you holding back on me?!" Muscular yells, as he grows muscles in his legs, tearing away at his clothes, as he starts trying to push against the teen. The steam clears away, and Muscular finds that the helmet has disappeared. "What?!"

"Hah!" Izuki yells, kicking at Muscular's back, shocking the man. He turns his head, just barely seeing the teen in the same form he was when he first transformed, the head of the Gashat popped back out. "Muscular… For Water Hose… Kota… Mandalay… For everyone you've hurt… Your game ends here!" Izuku closes the panel of the belt, kicking his leg back as he readies himself to strike.

"KIMEWAZA!" The belt and Gashat scream, as green and pink energy begin gathering in Izuku's feet, the same energy building in the still present mech suit's fists. Izuku opens the panel back up, the orange eyes on the helmet and chest plate of the mech glowing even brighter for a moment. "MAXIMUM CRITICAL BREAK!"

The mech suit drags Muscular out from his hole in the cliff before throwing him upwards. Izuku sprints forwards, the mech clasping its fists together, before boosting Izuku skyward. The teen matches up with the villain quickly, before striking him with a kick, and another, and another and another and another as Izuku bicycle kicks away at the man, pausing momentarily to perform a series of mid-aid cartwheel kicks, followed by a pair of roundhouse kicks, before finishing with another flying side kick as the two begin crashing down to the ground. "Haaaaaa… HAH!" Izuku shouts, as he kicks the man into the cliffside, his quirk retracting on impact as he falls unconscious.

"KAISHIN NO IPPATSU!" The belt screams, as Izuku lands back on the ground, the mech suit walking up behind him.

"Game… Clear." Izuku says, before turning to face Kota.

'Why…? You barely know me… Why would you go so far for me?' Kota thinks to himself, as he watches Izuku walk up to him.

"Kota… Are you okay?" Izuku asks, crouching down, watching as the boy tears up. The teen gasps a little, before tilting his head to the side. "In a situation like this…" Izuku mutters to himself, before kneeling down, and pulling the boy in close for a hug. He pats at the boy's head, nodding his head. "There there. It's all okay, I won't let anyone hurt you."

Kota tears up more, sniffles leaving him. 'That's right… It's because you're a hero…' Izuku picks Kota up, holding him up on an arm, before turning to look over the forest. Kota clutches at the teens armor, a small warmth attached to it.

'My hero…'
