(A/N: This one-shot is set between March of the Oni and Masters of Forbidden Spinjitzu. This is part of my very first original story that I wrote. I had to remove Birth of an Heir to avoid spoilers)

On Wednesday night, which was two nights later, outside the museum, a cloaked figure walks up the stairs as a white van was nearby. The side of it said, 'Rocky Dangerbuff's Cakes on the Sidewalk', with an image of Cole, wearing his signature fake moustache, red chef's hat, red chef's jacket, grey jeans, black boots, and orange apron, on it, holding a cake in his right hand and left hand on his hip while standing on a sidewalk and winking. (A/N: Do you know someone who can do a fanart of that?)

Inside were Zane, in his Titanium form, Cole, Gewuji, Simon, Tommy and Mantis. "All teams, Lightning has just entered." Zane said into a headset.

"Copy that." Lloyd replied through the headset.

On the rooftop of a nearby building, Lloyd, Nya, Geoff, Maggie and Wilhelm were at the edge while Wilhelm had a Barrett XM500 by her side. "Guys, are those thermal cameras installed?" Nya asked.

"Just a few wires to go." Blake replied through the communicator.

Close by, Kai, Cornelius and Sean, all wearing electrician's work uniforms, was looking up as Blake, also in an electrician's work uniform, was installing a camera. "Now I know how Geoff feels."

"Will you just hush and get that camera working, you dipstick?" Cornelius asked.

Blake soon crossed a wire and the camera light comes on. "Camera is operational. Can you see me?"

Back in the van, Mantis tapped a few keys and sees Blake, through thermal vision, waving at it. "Affirmative." Zane replied into the headset before Blake soon went out of view as he climbed down and the view showed the inside of the museum. They see the cloaked figure moving along. "I can see him now." The figure heads up to the chair that opens the passageway.

"Where is he going?" Mantis asked.

"That's where the secret room is." Cole replied.

"Nice." Mantis then took a sip of a nearby coffee cup before groaning since it was empty. "Dragon's turd!"

"Sorry, I drank from it." Zane said.

"I didn't think Nindroids could even drink coffee." Gewuji replied. "You owe him a new one."

"By the way, about the van's cover name, whose idea was it to name it 'Rocky Dangerbuff's Cakes on the Sidewalk'?" Kai asked through the headset. "Such a stupid cover name."

"I agree."

"Uh..." Cole tries not to answer.

(A/N: "Because 'Cake by the Ocean' was already taken by Joe Jonas, and I really love cake. And my cover name." "What a rubbish excuse." The writer said)

Inside the museum, the figure comes up to the chair and pulls the backrest forward, opening the secret door. "I'm about to head in." He said into his communicator. It was Jay.

"May the First Spinjitzu Master be with you." Nya replied through the communicator, encouraging her husband.

Inside the secret room, all the breeding tanks and Krux's equipment had been removed and instead there was a roulette table, blackjack table, poker table, and many other stuff involving gambling. As Jay walked along the room, a waiter soon came up to him with a tray of champagne glasses. "Care for a drink, sir?" He asked.

Jay takes a glass and moved along, slowly sipping the champagne before stopping with his back facing a wall to study the room. "Okay, I got my back to a corner." He said into his communicator.

"What do you see?" Zane asked through the communicator.

Jay turned to one table where he sees some familiar faces, looking at some cards before two of them groan and one stood up in victory. It was the mailman. "That incompetent mailman. And he's sitting there with Fanglongous and Rattla."

"Serpentine are allowed in that casino?" Gewuji asked through the communicator.

Jay turns to another table where the roulette table was to see more familiar faces. There was Fanglongus, Skalidor, Selma, Jacob Pevsner, Ray and another person, but Jay couldn't see due to having his back behind him. The individual was wearing a black suit jacket, white shirt, blue jeans that have a little oil on the right legging and brown work boots. "I see more Serpentine, the Master of Sound as well. And there's someone else. I can't make out his face though. And, Nya... your father is here too."

"What?" Nya asked through the communicator.

"No more bets." The roulette dealer said as the ball soon came to a stop on Red 19. "Red 19!"

The individual cheered, raising his arms high, as the others soon groan with Fanglongus slamming the table in anger, and walked away. "I'm rich, I'm rich!" The individual cheered.

He soon turned around as he was cheering, causing Jay to immediately become shocked. "No." He said. The individual as it turned out was his father, Ed.

"What is it?" Mantis asked through the communicator.

"Uh... yo...re ...rea...ing u.." Jay made up an excuse before he quickly turned his communicator off, and heads off to follow Ed as he went to get his chips redeemed.

"I cannot believe it." Ed said as he counted his collected money before Jay grabbed hold of him, and drags him away. "Whoa, hey! Please, just take the money, I don't want any trouble." Jay pulls the lever down, opening the secret door.

In the van, Zane, Cole, Gewuji, Simon, Tommy and Mantis see two thermal reading leaving the casino, coming out to the museum. "What is going on?" Tommy asked. "Do we move in?"

"Negative." Zane replied. "His heart rate is only a little high, like he is concerned. Must be someone he knows."

In the museum, Jay lets go of his father as he immediately turned to him in anger. "Look, is this about the money I won?" He asked. "It was a lucky bet." Jay soon took his hood off, revealing his face. "Jay?"

"Dad, what the hell are you doing here?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Did you and mom have a fight over money? Or do you like to do this in your off time?"

"Well, Jay, ever since the Oni almost destroyed Ninjago City weeks ago, we never got paid for the scrap metal to repair the city. So, while drowning my sorrows at a bar, I heard about this gambling ring from someone and I had been going for the past two weeks."

"So, you're gambling everything away?"

"Well, not tonight, kiddo, that bet I made on red, made me rich. I plan on using it to not just help your mother, but you and Nya too."

"Look, there is a small matter I have to deal with in that casino. Now, go home."

"What?"

"Go home, now!" Jay forces Ed to the doorway.

"Alright, alright." Ed starts to walk away, putting the money in his pocket. "I'm going."

Jay quickly turned his communicator back on. "Sorry, had a little malfunction." He lied as he puts his hood back on, and heads back to the secret casino.
