Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back for another story. This one about Crash Bandicoot. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own CB; Naughty Dog and a few others do.

Cortex smashed his head into the panel in front of him. This plan was bound to fail, just like the last plan was.

"Those blasted bandicoots have existed for far longer then we could have envisioned." Cortex said which got a frown as he turned around.

"And yet you continue to fail…" Cortex heard as he looked over his shoulder. "These super soldiers should be the last thing you create." Cortex heard from Uka Uka.

"We both need soldiers if we're going to kill those blasted Bandicoots." Cortex said while turning around to tap a few buttons with interest. "Besides, I wont give up that easily… The next wave of Cortex Commandos will rain down on the islands. They will conquer everything that can possibly be conquered." Cortex stated as he shook his head.

He knew very well that there would setbacks for his plans. There would probably be Crash to deal with at the moment. Yes, there would be far more issues to defeat…. But Crash would fall sooner or later.

"DNA matrix alert." The computer said as Cortex blinked with shock. "Subject being released, Tree Kangaroo, 'Tay'." The computer stated as the pod hissed open.

"NO!" Cortex yelled as his lab assistants swarmed the room. "STOP HIM, HE'S ONE OF THE RARER MUTANTS I WAS ABLE TO CLONE!" Cortex screeched as Tay turned to the duo and fled out the window.

"BLAST IT!" Cortex yelled and smashed the console next to him. "I've been working on a small army of animals native to Crash's DNA site. I designed mutants like Tay to be on par with those meddlesome bandicoots, and now he's gone." Cortex stated and shook his head.

"And this one? 'Danian?'" Uka questioned which got Cortex to grin.

"Why don't I show you why he's the leader?" Cortex asked as he grinned and pressed a button.

Uka Uka's eyes glistened as the tube lit up. He chuckled upon what he saw at the moment.

"This will be the general of a new army of Cortex Commandos… Crash has no idea what's coming." Cortex said and chuckled with amusement.

(With Crash)

Crash blinked upon what he saw as the figure continued moving through the trees.

He tilted his head as he started to look around. The figure moved like a bullet through the tree line.

"Crash, what is it?" Crash heard which caused him to look over his shoulder at his sister.

"Whoa!" Crash said and pointed at the figure as it moved through the trees.

Coco watched; it wasn't normal… Then again? She doubted ANYTHING upon the island could possibly see as normal.

She knew for a fact that things would be possible and monsters ruled the island. She couldn't understand what was happening, but if something was off? Then Cortex had to be behind it at the moment.

"Another one of Cortex's mutants?" Coco questioned while looking around with interest. "Doesn't he ever give up?" Coco questioned and shook her head.

"Well, we should stop him if he's working for Cortex." Coco said as the figure vanished into the treetops with interest.

"C'mon, let's cut him off!" Coco yelled as she started to take off into the jungle. "I'll try and slow him down." Coco stated and slid down one of the trees.

Crash washed as Coco flipped and landed in the middle of trees. She knew very well that whatever this creature it wouldn't be normally.

She could only ponder what was coming. What powers would this mutant have? What abilities would she have to overcome, there was far to many ideas to consider what would happen next.

But she wasn't backing down… And neither would her brother, they had foiled Cortex countless times. She wouldn't allow this time to go any differently, either for the island… Or anyone beyond it.

She could only hope that Crash could win… No, he would win this time, just like he had done before… And always would.

Little did she know this time would be far more different… For this was not a foe… But someone would become far more personal then she could possibly thing.

"What kinda mutant is he?" Coco asked before something tackled her from the branch.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out this story takes place in the Crash of the Mutants time line but will sometimes crossover to the regular timeline. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Tay meeting Coco and explain his powers and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
