Sirius's return!
'Sirius Black is innocent: - Declared the Ministry of Magic and is acquitted from Azkaban'
Hermione reads out this piece of news as Ron and Harry are having their breakfast in the big and noisy Great Hall. Sirius Black's release has become the hot topic for gossip among all the houses. Every student has the Daily Prophet and is looking at the live picture of Sirius Black being released after spending years of his life in Azkaban.
The Gryffindors and Slytherins get up and start rushing towards the first floor of the North Tower with clueless faces as they didn't know who is teaching them the Defence Against the Dark Arts this year. Everyone enters through the huge door and settles down. Harry, Ron, and Hermione sit on the second bench from the front, right opposite Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle.

As everyone whispers among themselves, the classroom door opens abruptly, letting in a shaggy black dog entering the classroom. The people sitting nearer to the door shrieked and scooched at their tables to avoid being closer to the scary and awkwardly dirty dog. Malfoy got off his seat, smiling from the corner of his mouth. He pulled out his wand, aiming the Levitation Charm on that fearless-looking dog.
"Wingardium Leviosa," he said, waving his arm like a windmill, swishing and flicking his wand. But that dog leaped and landed on the desk just a few steps away from him before the spell could be cast on him. Everyone was awe-struck as the dog transformed into a middle-aged man with shoulder-length hair, wearing a grey striped shirt, black pants, tuxedo vest, and a trench coat not washed for ages. He had waxy skin and yellow teeth with tattoos all over the visible body parts. He had a straight face with a mischievous look in his eyes.
"Sirius Black!" Everyone shrieked in astonishment as he kept sitting on the desk. The students around that desk moved away out of fear. Right then, Professor McGonagall came in through the open door. She had her severe-looking face shut the chitter-chatter among the students.
"Stop scaring the students, Sirius" ordered McGonagall and walked stiffly towards the front of the class. Sirius followed her towards the front of the class but stopped right next to Harry's desk and gave him a friendly look as if they know each other.
"James" he mumbled to himself as he hallucinated progressing towards the front desk. He stands next to Professor McGonagall in a cool manner with his right leg bent and left leg stretching forward, leaning on the table while resting his hands on them.
"Attention everyone! You all might be knowing him or would have heard about him somewhere. He is Sirius Black, your new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher this year" McGonagall notified everyone. She shakes her hand with him and is about to leave when she turns to tell Sirius something.
"You are now a teacher, so maintain discipline in the classroom" she warns him. She walks out of the room stiffly right after her whisper with Sirius. He chuckled as McGonagall left.
He looked at the class from right to left and could see students were still not ready to believe that it's him.
"How can a criminal be our teacher? What was Dumbledore up to when he hired Sirius?" Whispers broke out in the class.
"Hello everyone. I am Sirius Black, your new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Now please can you all tell me your names." introduced Sirius with a friendly look on his face. He was sensing insecurity and fear in the classroom. But instead of saying words of comfort to make the environment of the classroom light, he asked a student to start introducing herself.
Right then, Malfoy blurted "You are that criminal from Azkaban"
"You must be Lucius' son. Surely, you've got a manner like him" retorted Sirius in an amusingly taunting way.
"My father will hear about this" reacted Draco.
"Sure" Sirius replied coldly showing that he doesn't care about that. Meanwhile, the Gryffindors titter within themselves, having fun with Malfoy being insulted along with his father "Okay, begin with telling me your names." tells Sirius, silencing the students. He sees the environment of the class getting lighter than what it was when McGonagall introduced him a few minutes ago.
"Lavender Brown," she introduced in an inaudible voice.
"Parvati Patil," she said in a girly tone.
"Padma Patil," she told in a rather serious but fearful tone.
All students told their names in a row, somewhat believing that an 'Azkaban-experienced' person is their teacher for the most crucial subject. He did not lift his head and just strolled around the front desk casually as everyone introduced themselves.
"Harry Potter," Harry said in a monotone. Sirius lifted his head and had parental eye contact with Harry. Harry sat down looking confused and looked on his left side towards Ron and Hermione. Harry could read their faces and sense their curiosity building onto his. It visibly showed that all three of them were having the same question.
"The way he looks at Harry is odd," Ron scribbled on a chit and passed it to Hermione and then Harry.
"It is clear as a demiguise in hiding. Harry, he knows you" Hermione said out of surety. "His eyes clearly say that."
"Who wouldn't know Harry Potter, Hermione?" Ron snorted.
This left Harry burdened with the thought of what more problems are going to come next.
