In a groggy state the grey eyed girl slowly sat up on her knees, sand cascading from her mousy hair. Her expression melted into horror as the confusion and horror set in. br /em"Where am I?" /emspan style="font-style: normal;"she asked herself, her voice shaky. She brought herself shakily to her feet before she began to trudge through the sand, tears streaming her /"Hello?!" She called. "Papa? He was tall, leather clad, and obviously not human. She couldn't remember what she noticed first, whether it was his grey skin, his long, mechanical tail, or the third eye that rested on his forehead as he lay on his back, baking under the sun. Slowly she knelt next to the...whatever it was, and began to shake its shoulder./span/p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;""span style="font-style: normal;"Sir?" She asked, a timidness in her voice. A mixture of both relief and fear washed over her. br /"/spanemHe might know where we are, he could get me out of here!" /emspan style="font-style: normal;"She told herself as she reached for his shoulder to jostle him again, only to stop mere inches away as his stomach growled again. /spanem"Or he could be a monster that'll eat me soon as he wakes up."/emspan style="font-style: normal;"br /span/p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 150%;"span style="font-style: normal;" She juggled the possible outcomes in her head. Be eaten by a monster, or die slowly, lost and alone in the desert. She swallowed her fear as she gripped his shoulder, and shook /"Mister you have to wake up!" She begged. "Please, I'll feed you, please just-"br /The sound of heavy wing beats cut her off, and she turned to look to the sky as a hoard of what she could only describe as giant dragonflies began to block out the sun, before they began their descent. She quickly turned back to the male, shaking him frantically as a sandstorm began to /"We have to get out of here!" She cried. "Wake up, wake up, wake-"br /She was tossed back by a large gust of wind. The sand blinded her, forcing her to lose sight of the sleeping man. One of the beasts whipped past, its wicked teeth only grazing her shoulder as it tore the fabric from her sleeve, it's speed too quick to correct herself. He brought his clawed pinkies to his lips and let out a shrill whistle and the thunderous roar of an engine broke the short silence.
