Hey everyone, I'm sorry that I haven't been making my updates like I'm supposed to however I decided to take advice from someone to overlook my writing grammar before updating them and make my stories more detailed as possible for my readers because of my bad habit of rushing whatever I make.

I have been thinking for the longest time about whether I wanted to do a story about Gohan in Dragon Ball Z and the My Hero Academia Universe. I saw a Youtube video from Jaxblade on his thoughts and even though I never really liked crossovers unless I genuinely thought it made a lot of sense for it to happen. Gohan fits so well into the MHA Universe that it almost isn't funny, so I figured it would be great to make this crossover happen but with a few twists in my fanfic.

I thought about making this fanfic since no matter what I couldn't get it out of my mind. I updated this on Gohan's birthday which is May 18th as a sign of respect. I wasn't able to come up with an opening to this story that would catch people's interest and question how much I wanted to change certain things from both franchises by adding OC characters. Until now, I decided to go with my original ideas without coming at people with too much info. I also won't be responding to comments anymore because it will take up too much space for my chapters, so feel free to PM if you like.

In this fanfic, I am going to use Gohan's scrapped design and put in "filler" stories and even movies from the Dragon Ball lore which are actually well-connected in certain events that happened in the main stories. If some problems need to fix to make it more organic to the series then I will gladly make some adjustments of my own to make it logical.

Of course, not every movie or "filler" story will be put in Gohan's backstory but I will make references from those movies that won't be included during his journey in my fanfic to show I acknowledge their existence even if I may dislike some of them. I will even make references from GT and Super; although, there are a lot of things I really don't like in both series for various reasons. I absolutely despise one over the other; however, I still intend to make references from both respective series for this fanfic in the future for comedic purposes (if possible) or even a tribute in a unique fashion for them to show I won't let I personally feel affect my writing.

Just don't expect things like God Ki, "Ultra Instinct", and SS4 in my fanfic because even though I want to make this work exclusive to the fans who like those franchises; I will not mindlessly give out fan service to please literally everyone for my creation. I simply made it for myself for people to enjoy it as well. Heads up for the MHA fans, I will address the "Doctor" from the villains by his real name whether anyone likes it or not.

The reason why is because it is to show how people use to be from the past but we should be learning from their mistakes and not repeat them anymore instead of covering them up for our own insecurities. We have to see life for what it is and not for how we pretend it to be. So, if anyone has a problem with it despite that then please do not read or review my story at all.

I will use some logic from Z which means the Dragon Balls can grant 3 wishes, not two. I want to make my work entertaining and give off the old Dragon Ball feel from the original and Z on what made those series so great mixed with how it will play into effect with the My Hero universe on the way they view things. I will make some changes in the MHA Universe but do some of it will be a bit more logical on how a certain school does things and certain characters due to Gohan's existence in the story but the changes won't be THAT major (you know what I mean). I want this to be entertained for those who are and not fans of either franchise.

This shows how he challenges the view of the MHA Universe and how they challenge his views as well on certain occasions. Basically, they will learn from each other and play a factor in each other's growth as the story progress. There is a chance I may also add in things from the Vigilante and Team Up Mission series from My Hero as well. There is a chance I may give other characters their spotlight if I have something in my mind for them. I might even have chapters with other characters being the main focus besides Gohan or without him being involved if no one has a problem with it.

Anyway, back to Gohan, this Gohan is similar to his Buu Saga counterpart but uniquely different because I want to make him a well-written character that actually lives up to his potential by adding things that happened in his childhood that I always thought were essential to his character growth later on. The last thing I want to do is make Gohan a flawless character that can literally do anything he sets his mind to from start to finish by being all-knowing and powerful. He will be a very capable individual; however, he has his flaws just like everyone else and willing to learn more about himself from them.

This version of Gohan is way weaker than the Gohan everyone is very familiar with but he is much smarter, observant, self-sufficient, and philosophical. He will be able to make up for his weakness with his intelligence and skills whether it be inside or out of martial arts due to the influence of certain characters in MHA. MHA characters won't have ki native in their world; however, I have something in mind as the story continues. Also, in this fanfic, Goten and Trunks are not Super Saiyans at the early point either; although, that doesn't mean they may not get it at a certain point. I hope my readers will enjoy this story whether fans or not of the real franchises!

Disclaimer: I obviously do not own DB, DBZ, DBGT, DBS, or MHA/BNHA. The Dragon Ball franchise is owned by Akira Toriyama and the My Hero Academia franchise is owned by Kohei Horikoshi. I also don't own this Gohan design and the fanart belongs to allofmywhy. If you guys want to see more of this Gohan design then please check out Kagari-Asuha and Kurosaikikiriku's stuff on Deviant Art. This fanart will be removed at the request of allofmywhy or any companies. Viewer's discretion is advised and I hope you enjoy the fanfic.

Chapter 1: A World Full of Heroes

Somewhere far away from the outskirt of an unknown city in broad daylight. There was a nice scenery of a plain filled with smooth grassland, a strong breeze accompany the scenery, and a cliff where people and animals could hear the sound of the tides of the ocean from the bottom where it could have sharp rocks underneath it. Birds and rabbits were moving about trying to find food within the arena; however, they ran out of fear when a mysterious white light appeared at the center of the area. The light remained for a brief moment before it was starting to reveal the unknown individual or being that was within it from head to toe.

The light revealed a black-haired fifteen-year-old, who wore a purple jack similar to a certain time traveler but with white sleeves and black lines on the shoulders. The light kept going down as it reveals his black shirt, carrying a light blue Large Everyday Travel Duffle Bag in his right hand, orange pants with a black belt, and shoes before the light disappeared in sparkles. The teenager had his eyes closed this entire time before he opened them and looked at the scenery.

"So this is where Shenron sent me...?" The boy thought to himself as he examined the area with curiosity and interest at his situation

"As nice as this whole thing is..." The half-breed thought to himself "I have a business to take care of... I came here for a reason after all..."

The boy flew high up into the air and noticed that there was a city far away from here

"Is this city the place that will help me on my quest..." He thought to himself with a mix of uncertainty and hope "Well... here goes nothing...!"

"My journey begins now!" He said loudly before flaring his ki and flew towards the city as if to find somewhere to land

The teen flew towards an alley where he knew no one was there and landed softly on his feet. As he ran his way out of the alley and turned right he felt a hand touch his shoulder. It took every fiber in his being not to let his fighting instincts over and assault this person or take a defensive position as he froze in his tracks and slowly turned to his right to see who stopped him with a concerned look on his face.

It was a very skinny blond hair man with sharp, angular features and long limbs, his neck long and his eyebrows absent. His eyes were black and his pupils were blue. He wears baggy clothing which was a white shirt, army green color pants, and brown shoes. The man had a surprised look as he quietly asked the boy if he was really flying.

The half-breed was never good at lying and if this man really did see him moments earlier then it is probably for the best if he admitted what he had done. The teen let out a shaking smile as sweat from his face became more apparent and sheepishly scratched the back of his head with his left hand before replying to him.

The man assured Gohan he wouldn't tell anyone and introduced himself as Yagi. He offered Gohan a handshake and the teen accepted it. Yagi seemed to have noticed the strength of Gohan's grip as his facial expression shifted to being surprised for a brief moment into curiosity and interest while he was staring at the handshake. Gohan noticed this and felt a little uncomfortable as if he might have used a little too much force on his grip and nervously chuckle.

Yagi's facial expression became serious as he stared at Gohan; even though the half-Saiyan felt no hostility from the man he did sense he had taken a certain interest in him as if he was trying to figure him out. The skinny-looking man decided to make this known as he decided to speak to him by asking if his power allowed him to do more than fly.

Gohan started to become even more nervous at that because he really doesn't know what this man was talking about and he couldn't tell this stranger too much about himself. The best thing Gohan could do was make up some excuse to get out of this situation by running away and say he had to go to school.

"Yo-Young Son, wait!" Yagi spoke out but the teen was already long gone "Shit...!"

The scenery then switched over to Gohan running until he found an actual school building to hide from Yagi. The teen then examined his surroundings and he was wanted to make sure no one was around except the fishes. He even went so far as to sense their ki but it turns out he couldn't detect anything. He let out a deep breath of relief when he found and sensed no one here with him. Internally scolding himself for his lack of ki control to make his suppressed state very obvious. He hasn't even been here for a day and already aroused suspicion which is truly pathetic...!

Gohan remembered Yagi's facial expression; even when he looked into his eyes, the teen knows the man has seen some serious stuff in his profession. The boy figured Yagi must have been very experienced to know his grip was abnormal even if he did have a "Quirk". If he had to guess the man had to be some kind of war veteran, maybe even considered a "hero" by his peers for his services.

"But what even are these things called "Quirks" and what is this about having costumes with a license?" Gohan said to himself contemplating his thoughts; they were interrupted when he heard an explosion sound and yelp

Gohan immediately looks around to see where it could have come from by looking from left to right and even turned around to find someone or something.

"What?!"

It was too late for him to know that it was above him as a slightly burned notebook fell on his head and into the water. The teen coughed as he wiped the dust off him and he heard some teenagers talking about something from above, thanks to his acute hearing.

"Most top first-string heroes have stories about them from their school days." A teen said but Gohan couldn't see nor they see him since he was a few stories beneath them; he could fly to get a good enough view but choice to stay hidden because he didn't want to be the third wheel

"I want the shine of being able to be called the only student in this school to make it into the U.A. from this mediocre city junior high school."

"Heroes? U.A.?" Gohan repeated to himself low enough for no one but himself to be heard

"They will realize that I am legit and the next big thing." The boy further elaborated to whoever he was talking too "It's not ego talking, I just know I am good. I mean, I am a perfectionist."

"Honestly, this kid sounds petty and egotistical as hell." Gohan thought to himself in a mixer of amusement and annoyance as he grinned at this statement

"So, anyway, don't apply to U.A., nerd." The boy said as Gohan kept listening to the conversation

"Come on, you could at least say something back." A second voice from a different boy commented

"Don't say that." A third male voice chimed in "He's pathetic. He still can't face reality."

Gohan's grin was removed and replaced with a stone-faced expression on his face as he listened to what he was hearing from these junior high schoolers

"If you wanna be a hero that badly, there's a quick way to do it." The familiar voice stated "Believe that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life and take a last chance dive off the roof!"

Gohan bit his lip and clenched his fist as he tried his best not to let his ki flare or cause the ground to shake as he heard him say that to this person. Sure, he doesn't know what is going on and is just an outsider of all of this taking place but this level of harassment has gone way over the line. He was genuinely debating on whether he should finally make his presence known and give this boy a piece of his mind or see how this plays out between them. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard explosive sounds again.

Gohan remained where he was standing as he didn't know how this was going to end but he did know he will get involved if he hears too much unnecessary roughness from either side or if the person would actually commit suicide for what the boy said to his classmate. The teenager didn't hear anything else after that however he did hear the same voices and footsteps from coming out of the building.

As the teenager heard their footsteps outside leaving the building, Gohan looked up to see if the person was about to jump but didn't. The half-Saiyan softly put down his bag and quickly ran a good distance towards the building where he could see them but hopefully not see him and kept looking back to see if the kid would do it.

Fortunately, they were all facing forward as Gohan got a look at their appearance and the back of their heads as they were gone. They all had black school uniforms with each boy having a different hair color. The one on the right had brown hair, the left had dark hair, and the guy in the middle had spiky blond hair. They all looked like they were at least a year younger than him.

Gohan really wanted to teach those boys a lesson but he reminded himself that he was just an outsider who doesn't really know the whole story behind all of it. Besides, he cared more about this individual's life then harming the aggressors who were probably unworthy of his wrath. He decided to ignore them and go back as he got this person's notebook out of the water that was being eaten by fishes. As Gohan got it, he noticed something that caught his interest.

"Hero Analysis for the Future?" Gohan spoke as he examined it but didn't open the book out of respect for their privacy

"U-Um..."

"Huh?"

Gohan turned his head sideways with a confused expression on his face as he saw a timid green-haired kid with the same uniform as those boys from earlier.

"Th-That's my book..." He said shyly even downright weakly as Gohan widened his eyes in realization as he let out an awkward chuckle

"O-Oh! I'm so sorry! Here you go!" Gohan said as he gave it to him

"Thanks..." The boy replied as he took it back "Not to be rude but who are you..?"

"Allow me to introduce myself..." Gohan said politely "My name is Son Gohan."

"Mi-Midoriya Izuku!" Midoriya replied, "Ar-are you a new student here, Son?"

"So it is a custom to refer to people by their last names, huh?" Gohan thought to himself with curiosity and interest

"I wouldn't say that but I am definitely new around here." Gohan replied smiling "Say Midoriya, do you want to hang out for a bit?"

Midoriya gave him a momentary stare before letting out a smile of his own yet it was warm and sincere

"Sure thing, Son." He replied as if he had been a little uplifted "Follow me."

As Gohan and Midoriya wandered around town; the hybrid asked him everything he wanted to know about this place. At first, Midoriya was really confused by this because it was something everyone was supposed to already know this stuff.

Gohan explained his parents were very protective of him to the point where he couldn't live in cities for certain reasons. This wasn't really a lie and the boy seemed to accept the reply but chose not to pry any further as he told Gohan everything.

Midoriya even went so far as to tell him about how he is "Quirkless" and really wants to be like his idol; All Might, The Number One Hero! Gohan sympathized with the boy because even though he wasn't born with a "Quirk" he still wants to be a hero despite his disadvantages.

He can tell this All Might person meant a lot to him because of the way he speaks and looks at the man from the picture on his phone... it reminds him of the same way he viewed his dad and Piccolo when he was little... Gohan knew those two have never considered themselves as heroes nor the idea of becoming one ever remotely interest them but they were always his heroes...

Truth be told, he no longer wishes to be a hero nor considers himself to be that kind of person either yet he can tell this boy really wants to be a hero... He just hopes this man is true as Midoriya and many others believe him to be...

As Gohan was on his way elsewhere and say goodbye; Izuku was attacked by some green sludge monster while the hybrid kept walking. When he didn't get a reply back, Gohan turned around and saved the boy with one simple punch before turning around to see All Might behind him with a somewhat surprised look on his face.

When Gohan saw the renowned hero behind him, Gohan asked the man to give Izuku an autograph because he was his biggest fan (which he probably hears a lot) by handing him his book. This was a huge invasion of privacy which Gohan is extremely against and ashamed of; however, he figured the kid wouldn't mind if he knew the reason. He also couldn't help notice the man had the same clothing Yagi wore.

As All Might contained the villain in a bottle; Midoriya woke up and gave his thanks to All Might who he thought saved him as they both went with it. As The #1 Hero was about to leave; the boy grabbed him as the man jumped away which startled Gohan. He ran to follow them but not too fast that people might think he is using his "Quirk".

As he kept his eye on them, he noticed the bottle fell off him and landed somewhere but still followed them to make sure they landed safely. When started to see some form of mist appearing on All Might yet saw them landed on a building, the teen decided to head back to where the bottle landed. Unfortunately, he couldn't tell exactly where it landed as he kept searching for the villain.

When he heard explosions somewhere far from his position around the area; Gohan checked his surroundings, flew there, and landed on the top of a building. The hybrid saw a bunch of people cry out in horror and others saying they need some heroes and officers to save someone from the sludge villain.

Gohan was going to end it until he realized the victim was that blond kid which caused him to let this continue. He wanted to get a kick out of watching the boy squirm more until the hybrid decided he had enough or if someone was going to be killed.

This went on until Midoriya ran out to rescue the boy which surprised Gohan greatly as he finally decided to help by throwing a strong punch that caused a gust of wind which only got stronger when All Might emerged from the crowd and gave a strong punch as well. The combined power a tall and powerful tornado that remained for almost a minute. Before it disappeared, the weather changed as clouds gathered and rained on sight as it put the flames. Gohan was strong enough to take the villain on his own because he was really holding back from killing him. All Might's interference was just a bonus but hoped the villain didn't actually die from it.

Gohan had a relieved smile on his face that no one actually died through this whole thing and that Midoriya was safe. As the demi looked on at the scene and listened to the praise these people were giving to the famous hero; the teen felt someone staring at him and noticed the man seemed to be staring in his direction as if he saw him despite the distance between them but didn't make it obvious to the crowd. Gohan realized the hero seemed pretty tired as he was trying his best to keep a strong image for the public. Gohan nodded his head at All Might and gave a friendly smile before leaving the area without anyone but the renowned hero noticing his departure.
