I know it's been a very long time since I've uploaded.. Apologies but there is a slim chance I will finish Neko-Files for Noragami. This is also my first Legend Of Zelda story. AU. Enjoy! I own nothing, not even a plushie.. lol

Zelda took a deep breath to calm her nerves after she escaped the castle before someone had the chance to notice the crime. Loosing her high heals along the way, she got to the carriage that brought her to the event but not before disposing the dagger in the fountain.

Thinking back to only a couple hours in the grand ball room, tasked to finding and killing the male her "advisor" told her about three weeks prior..

[3 weeks ago, Zelda's study]

A letter fromt the neighboring Twilight Kingdom, celebrating the queen and kings coronation. Being of great terms with the Kingdom, she happily agreed to go. Her advisor, a tall, tan male with orange hair along with a beard.

Reading over her shoulder at the piece of paper, placed in her hand.

"Princess, I have suspicion that the ball is a ruse to overthrow the Hyrulian Kingdom! You must decline at once!"

"Ganon, they have been on fantastic terms with us since my parents ruled Hyrule. We never had any dispute. I am attending this event. You cannot stop me."

The elderly gentleman 'tsk'ed' then looked toward the blonde woman, placing a slightly worn sheath with a dagger sleeping inside."Take no chance, princess, you must do this. It is the only way to protect the palace." Ganon spoke with a poison on his tongue when he spoke her title.

Now, sitting in the carriage drawn by her white stallion, Storm as he trotted along the cobblestone path leading to the large courtyard that was surrounded by beautiful flowers of different colors and scents. She had the sheath wrapped around her right ankle, in her hand lied the weapon that was trusted upon her. Zelda began to shiver, partly from the chilled late spring air then gripped the dagger tighter; refusing to look at it.

A few moments later, her driver stopped Storm to a hault as he gave the horse a gentle pat on his neck before be began to open the silver door for the woman inside as he held out his gloved hand to help down the steps.

Zelda got out of the carriage and started walking toward the stairs that led up to the large, opal colored door after she gave her steed a nose rub and pat on his neck. She tried to hold up her dress to make her not trip but still low enough to hide the leather stap attached to her shoe. Finally reaching the main entrance, she was shown to the grand ball room in the west wing of the golden-tinted casstle

Two hours into the party, the blonde was at the buffet table with a punch glass in her hands as she placed the ladel down into the crystal bowl. A slightly taller male walked up to the beauty with a friendly smile on his features.

"May I have this dance, miss?" he asled while ending up startling her.

"Yes, I would be honored to dance."

The newcomer led her to the floor, gently yet firmly holding her hand as he placed his right hand around her waist as she placed her left on his shoulder. The pair began to dance the quiet music playing nearby, with Zelda ending up resting her head in the crook of his neck.

She had a sinking feeling in her stomach when she got a closer look at him, royal blue..? This is the color of the royal family, right? She didn't want to think that this is the man... No! Shaking her head as her golden locks bounced in her braid down her back. It cannot be the same person.

"May I ask, princess, what is your name?" he pulled back a bit with the same friendly smile he had before.

Princess? D...does he know already?! No. Zelda, he most likely doesn't. Calm down..

"My name is Zelda, and yours sir?" She immediately cringed after hearing his answer.

"Link, nice to meet you."

Damnit! I hoped he wasn't the person I was supposed to kill tonight!

"Likewise, uh...Link, is it getting a tad bit crowded in here?"

Truth be told, it was getting a bit more full while they were dancing. Link agrees and takes her to the garden on the southern side of the castle. In the flower garden she seen before.

Looking up at the clock atop the center tower, it nearly being 11:35pm, so close to midnight and the time to strike the man she started to fall in love with only a meer three hours ago.

Zelda let out a shiver as she began to shake as the hands on the clock worked s way to midnight. A stray tear fell down and before she could wipe it away, Link drew his thumb across her cheek and softly placed his lips against the salt trail it left.

The larger hand on the clock made the bell chime as the clock stroke midnight then she bent down to hide her ears from the dreadful noise of the loud bell.

Her right hand grasping the tag-a-long on her ankle, she reached out for his neck with the left hand while stabbing his chest, blood starting to coat the blue of his jacket making it a faint purple tint.

Link looked horrified at the woman he loved stabbing him like it was so easy, he didn't notice the sorrowful expression on her face before his vision went blurry from too much blood loss. He did however heard the breaking voice of her apology along with a sob.

"I am truly sorry, Link... I love you.."
