Hello once again, and here is my new MLP story after months, a parody to Gordon Ramsay's, " Hell's Kitchen", here I have the first chapter of " Tartarus Kitchen".
18 Chefs competing.
The Rainbooms, Sunset, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash arrived at the building.
" Well, here it is, Tartarus Kitchen", said Sunset.
" Where we get to meet the famous celebrity Head Chef Ramsay", said Pinkie Pie.
" Let's go in then", said Rainbow Dash.
" Not yet, we were told we have to wait for the others to arrive", said Twilight.
" How many are we expecting", said Rarity.
" Including us we expecting a total of 18 students", said Applejack.
" So, we still have to wait for 11 more people", said Fluttershy.
" I'm afraid so Fluttershy, this will take a while", said Sunset.
" Hey, someone's coming already", said Pinkie Pie.
It was then they saw stepping out of a cab, a certain magician girl.
" Make way for the Great and Powerful Trixie", said Trixie.
" Trixie, you're competing too", said Sunset.
" Of course I am", said Trixie.
Soon, another cab appear, and a guy stepped up, much to the dismay of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, it was Zephyr Breeze, Fluttershy's brother.
" Woah, this day is just getting better", said Zephyr.
" What are you doing here", said Rainbow Dash.
" Competing, just like you are", said Zephyr.
" Shit", groaned Rainbow Dash.
" Do you know anything about being a chef", said Fluttershy.
" Flutter Butter, I know a lot about being a chef", said Zephyr.
" I hope so, if you can't prove yourself, you'll be the first one gone", said Fluttershy.
Soon another cab arrived, and two more people stepped out, Pinkie's sister Maud Pie, and Applejack's brother Big Macintosh.
" YAY MAUD", cheered Pinkie Pie hugging her sister.
" You excited sugarcube", said Applejack, pulling her brother into a hug.
" Eeyup", said Big Mac.
" Soon another cab appeared, and four more men stepped out, Flash Sentry, Bulk Biceps, Micro Chips, and Sandalwood.
" YEAH, TARTARUS KITCHEN, BRING IT ON", shouted Bulk.
" Woah dude, take it easy, save it for once were in there", said Sandalwood.
" By my calculations, it should be soon, as there are still three more people to show", said Micro Chips.
Flash then approached Sunset and Twilight.
" Hey you two, how have things been since graduation", said Flash.
" Nothing much, we all still hang out, but not as much as we used to", said Sunset.
" Oh, because of work and family business", said Flash.
" Yeah, not to mention the pandemic, so we couldn't even hang out even if we had free time to", said Twilight.
" So, this contest is a chance for you seven to hang out more", said Flash.
" Yeah, after being tested and quarantined for a couple of weeks, we were able to get make it here in Las Pegasus", said Sunset.
Soon, the remaining three contestants arrived, Derpy, Wallflower and Vinyl.
" Why was everyone from the same school been chosen for the contest", said Wallflower.
" The description said he was going to get contestants from the same school to compete, plus Canterlot city is one of the few cities that hasn't gotten any cases yet", said Sunset.
It was then a man from inside opened the door and greeted the competitors.
" Welcome to Tartarus kitchen, I am Jacques Pierre, and I will be the Matrie'd, you may now enter, and follow me as I will show you where you'll be staying for the next four weeks", said Jacques.
Head Chef Ramsay stood in front of the 18 competitors, all former students of Canterlot High.
" So, recent graduates, and ready to take on the real world, in reality it takes years to become a head chef, but for you 18, one of you will have the chance to earn that title, in Manehatten a new Restaurant is opened, all it's looking for is a head Chef, and it could be one of you, over the next four weeks you'll be tested to you're absolute limit, every other day we'll have a service in Tarterus kitchen, each service will show who has what it takes and who doesn't, and in the end, one of you will win a grand prize of $250,000", said Head Chef Ramsay.
That amazed the 18 students by a long shot.
" Today is your first day, and that's where you begin your first challenge, creating your signature dish, you'll have 45 minutes to do so, but before we begin, we need to sort you out in your teams", said Head Chef Ramsay.
He then pulled out a black box, " In this box are 18 napkins, 9 are, and 9 are blue, one by one, you will each Alphabetically pick a napkin, and stand in front of the kitchen with that color".
Applejack went first, she drew a blue napkin, Big Mac was next, he too drew a blue napkin.
Bulk Biceps also drew a blue napkin, as well as Derpy.
DJPON3 drew a red napkin, so did Flash Sentry.
Fluttershy drew a red napkin, while Maud drew a blue Napkin, Micro Chips drew red as well, Pinkie Pie drew pink.
" Wait, pink, how was that possible, there was meant be just red and blue", said Gordon.
" Oh, I'll fix that", said Pinkie, shaking the napkin and it turned red.
Moving on, Rainbow Dash drew red and Rarity drew Blue.
Trixie drew red, Twilight drew blue.
Sunset was soon to be next, if she drew red she'll be working with Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, if she draws blue, she'll be working with Applejack, Rarity and Twilight.
Sandalwood drew red and joined the red team.
Sunset was now up, she drew her napkin, revealing the color blue.
That leaves Wallflower and Zephyr breeze.
Wallflower drew the red napkin, which leave blue for Zephyr, much to Rainbow's dismay.
The two teams have been revealed.
In the red team we have DJPON3, Flash Sentry, Fluttershy, Micro Chips, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Trixie, Sandalwood and Zephyr Breeze.
In the blue team we have Applejack, Big mac, Bulk Biceps, Derpy, Maud Pie, Rarity, Twilight, Sunset and Wallflower.
" Alright, the teams have been decided, as I said, signature dishes, and the team who presents the best dishes will be rewarded, 45 minutes, starting, now", said Ramsay.
The time was ticking, and everyone began bolting into the kitchen, the red team in the red kitchen, and the blue team in the blue kitchen.
45 minutes went by, and each chef has finished and sealed their dishes under the steel domes, and placed their dishes on the till.
Ramsay stood in front of a table, with a glass filled with water, and a bin under the table, and cutlery.
" You may present your dishes", said Ramsay.
Applejack and DJPON3 went first.
" Now, girl in the blue, first off, take of your headphones, secondly, I read in your application you're mute, you're DJPON3 right, also known as Vinyl Scatch.", said Ramsay.
Vinyl Nodded.
" Okay, is it okay if I call you that from now on, or DJ", said Ramsay.
Vinyl gave him the thumbs up.
" Excellent, now, what have you presented", said Ramsay.
Vinyl opened the tray, revealing a plate with chips, a small cup of unknown sauce, and a glass of a beverage.
" Here, take these, and discribe you're dish, I'm sure you could've done more than just that in 45 minutes", said Ramsay.
Vinyl wrote down her dish, then presented the note to Ramsay.
" Okay, chips seasoned with some herbs, like in bars, true, you're own special sauce, okay, and the drink is a cocktail, mixed with pieapple juice, lemon juice, other kinds of fruit juices and vodka, with a lemon slice for garnish, well, at least you made it fancy on the garnish", said Ramsay.
He picked up a chip, dipped it into the sauce and took a bite of the chip.
He then spat it out.
" You improvised didn't it, the sauce tasted disgusting, maybe if you take your headphones off you'd have less of a distraction and done better, I score you 1 out of 5", said Ramsay.
He then turned to Applejack.
" And your name is", he said.
" Applejack", said Applejack.
" Don't tell me you served a cocktail as well", said Ramsay, earning a few giggles from a few people.
" Not Exactly, I present to you, a pear parfait, with Applesauce", said Applejack.
" Hang on, you're part of the Apple Family, but you're serving a pear dish as you're signature dish", said Ramsay.
" I'm half Apple, Half Pear", said Applejack.
" Okay, that makes sense", said Ramsay.
With the spoon, he took a piece of the parfait and ate it.
" It tastes too sour, you could've lessened the sugar on the Applesauce, that was the problem, and the presentation wasn't that good either, but it's better that Vinyl's dish, at least you showed more effort, I'm giving you a 2 out of 5", said Ramsay.
After that, the blue team lead the rank 2-1.
" Next", said Ramsay.
Big Macintosh and Flash Sentry stepped forward with their dishes.
" Name", said Ramsay to Flash.
" I'm Flash Sentry", said Flash.
" And your dish", said Ramsay.
" A honey soy glazed Chicken, with salad for the sides", said Flash.
" Okay, you did great on the dressing for the salad, and the salad's also amazing, and the chicken is perfect, presentation is also beautiful, very decorative, I'll give you a 5 out of 5", said Ramsay after trying the chicken and salad.
The red team cheered for their first 5 for 5 signature dish.
" And now you", said Ramsay, looking at Big Mac, " Name".
" Big Macintosh", said Big Mac.
" Hang on, are you by any chance her brother", said Ramsay pointing at Applejack.
" Eeyup", said Big mac.
" What's with that Eeyup thing", said Ramsay.
" It's his catch phrase", said Applejack.
" What's your dish Big Mac", said Ramsay.
" It's an Apple Pie, the Apple family's special recipe", said Big Mac.
Ramsay tried the pie only to spit it out disgustedly.
" Is this meant to be a joke, I don't know what kind of sugar you put in, but the pie taste like shit, it tastes salty, didn't you check the labels on the sugar", said Ramsay.
Big Mac smiled nervously, the pressure during the challenge got him to slip up, failing to check on the sugar and thought it was sugar when it was salt.
" I give you a one", said Ramsay.
Now the red team lead 6-3.
Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps were next, Fluttershy hesitantly presented her vegetarian casserole, and Ramsay gave her an average three out of five, meanwhile Bulks protein stew gave him a three as well.
It was now Micro Chips and Derpy.
There was a reason why Micro Chips was better off a computer scientist and not a chef, his signature dish gave him a one, meanwhile all Derpy did was make muffins.
" Enough muffins for all of us, not really the kind of dish I was looking for, but at least it's tasty, better than Micro's Dish, I'll give you a three", said Ramsay.
The score was now 12-7 in favor of the red team, it was now Pinkie Pie's dish, versus Maud Pie's dish.
" Hang on, you two are siblings as well, sisters", said Ramsay.
" Yes indeedy, we have a lot in common", said Pinkie, standing next to her sister Maud, who stared with an emotionless face.
" Okay, Pinkie, your Dish please", said Ramsay.
" I call it, death by Chocolate Pudding", said Pinkie Pie.
Gordon tried the pudding, and then nodded.
" It's an average at best, three", said Ramsay.
He then turned to Maud.
" Are you sure you and Maud are sisters, I don't think you two have anything in common", said Ramsay.
" That's just on the outside, it's the inside that counts", said Pinkie Pie.
" Okay then, so Maud, what would be your dish", said Ramsay.
" Rocky Road Brownies", said Maud.
" Rocky Road, geez, in your Application I heard you are obsessed with Rocks, but, you're getting a rocky start yourself", said Ramsay, he picked up a brownie and took a bite, he then gave the thumbs up.
" Maybe I was wrong, you two do have something in common, you're both great at desserts, only Maud's brownies was better, 4", said Ramsay.
Up next was Rainbow Dashes Pizza versus Rarity's Beef Stroganoff, maybe it was luck, but Rainbow's pizza was delicious earning her a four, while Rarity only earned a 3.
Trixie and Twilight were up next, it was Trixie's fried Halibut vs Twilight's Chicken Parmesan, the Halibut wasn't cooked properly and the Chicken was decent, Trixie earned 2 points, and Twilight earned 4.
Up Next was Sandalwood vs Sunset, Sandalwood's dish was a vegetarian lasagna, while Sunset's dish was a salad, Ramsay gave Sandalwood a four out of five for the great taste and texture that was put with the Lasagna, and Sunset was given a one out of five, for not dressing it.
" In fact, Sunset, the Steak is still raw in the middle, well, we're now down to two, even though the score is 25 - 19 in favor of the red team, I like to see how these two fair", said Ramsay.
Zephyr Breeze and Wallflower approached the table.
" And your name is", said Ramsay.
" Zephyr Breeze is my name, and cooking is my specialty", said Zephyr, it took Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash a lot of effort not to die of embarrassment.
Zephyr then present Ramsay with a Caesar salad.
" Mmh, looks interesting, only one problem, a Caesar salad is not just a pile of lettuce, there other stuff to go with it, don't freaking tell me you spent all of 45 minute just to create this shit, one out of five, not like it matters as your team wins the reward challenge, no thanks to you", said Ramsay.
Wallflower then presented Ramsay with a steamed salmon, despite tasting bland, and no matter what Ramsay scored her, which is a 2, her team still lost.
" Well, the winning team with a score of 26-21 is the red team", said Ramsay.
The red team cheered in their victory.
" Out of the 18 of you, only one of you scored a 5 out of 5, and that's Flash, he is the best by far, but this is just the beginning, anyway, for your reward, there is a little something waiting for you at your dorms, meanwhile Blue team, tomorrow night we begin our first service, opening night, and we always begin with clean set tables, as well as clean dishes, it'll take you hours to get done, also in the meantime there are recipes for the food you'll be serving, if any of you thought today was tough, today was just the beginning, tomorrow the real nightmare begins", said Ramsay.
And so, he left the 18 chefs, and while the blue team spent the rest of the day cleaning up both kitchens, the red team relaxed in there dorms and enjoyed the snacks of cheese, biscuits, salami, chocolate and wine.
The next day, everyone was beginning prepping for tonight's opening service.
In the red kitchen we have Flash on the meat station, Pinkie was on deserts, Sandalwood was on the appetizers, Fluttershy was on Garnish, Micro Chips was on Fish, Rainbow Dash was on the Pizza's, Vinyl was the Bartender, and Trixie was waiting tables, and Zephyr Breeze was the Donkey, cleaning up the place.
In the blue kitchen we have Applejack on the fish station, Big mac on the meat station, Wallflower on Garnish, Maud was on Appetizers, Bulk was on Pizzas, Rarity was on Desserts, Sunset was waiting tables, Twilight was doing bar service and Derpy was the cleaner.
Everyone lined up and Head Chef Ramsay stood in front of them.
" Now, in a few minutes opening night will begin, the chance to prove to me how worthy you all are, Trixie, Sunset, you two are waiters, so get yourself ready and follow Matrie'd Jacques, Derpy and Zephyr, you two are the cleaners, make your way out the back and get ready for any upcoming dirty dishes, Vinyl and Twilight, you two are the bartenders for this evening, and one more thing, I haven't revealed the sous chefs for Tarturus kitchen, well, this season, we have two chefs who own a restaurant in Manehattan called Tasty Treat, Coriander Cumin, and his daughter Saffron Masala, Coriander will be Sous chef in the blue kitchen, while Saffron will be Sous Chef in the red Kitchen.
" Now make your way right now to your stations", said Ramsay.
He then called out to the Matrie'd.
" Jacques, open up Tarterus Kitchen.
7:00 PM.
The kitchen opened, and costumers began arriving, Sunset and Trixie began taking the orders, and each of them presented their first orders.
Ramsay turned to the red kitchen.
" First table for the red kitchen, one Halibut, one mushroom risotto, one pineapple Pizza", he called out.
" Yes Chef", responded the team.
He then turned to the blue kitchen.
" First table for the blue kitchen, one BBQ Pizza, one pumpkin Risotto, one cod", He called out.
" Yes Chef", said the team.
7:10 PM.
It was only 10 minutes into dinner service, and already, something's not right.
" Fluttershy", called out Ramsay.
" Ye... Yes Chef", she responded.
" The mash potato is too salty, don't overdo it", said Ramsay.
" Sorry Chef", said Fluttershy.
Another 10 minutes go by, the Risotto was sent to the pass, Ramsay then looked at it and groaned.
" Sandalwood, come here", he said.
Sandalwood Approached him.
" Taste that", said Ramsay, given the hippy boy a spoon, who then tried the risotto.
" The rice is still not soft enough", said Sandalwood.
" And you expect me to serve that kind of rice to the customers", said Ramsay.
" Sorry Chef, it won't happen again", said Sandalwood.
Half and hour went by and it was now 7:50 PM.
Nearly an hour into dinner service, and the blue kitchen has made a big mistake.
" Who the F*ck was doing the pizza", said Ramsay.
" I did Chef", said Bulk.
" It's burnt for god sake, once you leave something in the oven, don't just dilly dally in you own freaking fantasy you Donut", said Ramsay.
He then turned to the risotto, tested it, but then spat it out.
" I just turned to Bulk about a messed up pizza, and minutes later I have a messed up Risotto, Maud, it tastes bland, are you sure you're sister with Pinkie, because I'm starting to think otherwise", said Ramsay.
It was now 8:20 PM, over an hour of dinner service, not many orders were taken in, and it was fustrating.
" PINKIE, WHY WOULD YOU SEND ME THIS", Ramsay shouted, showing a plate of the chocolate pudding.
" You added to much sugar, a pudding like that would kill someone, either you get it together, of piss off, same goes for the rest of you", said Ramsay.
5 minutes go by.
Sunset sent a ticket, to Ramsay on the pass who read it.
" Sunset, come here", said Ramsay.
Sunset did, nervously.
What was this supposed to say, I can't make it out with your shit handwriting", said Ramsay.
" Oh, it was meant to say Halibut", said Sunset.
" Thank you, maybe in the future get some spelling lessons", said Ramsay.
The time was now 8:35, over an hour and a half over dinner service, and Ramsay has had enough with one of the teams.
" SANDALWOOD, YOU MESSED IT UP AGAIN", shouted Ramsay, slamming the pan of risotto onto the table.
" You Don't even know how to cook rice do you, you've served it under cooked, and now it's overcooked, in fact some of it's burnt", said Ramsay.
" It won't happen again chef", said Sandalwood.
" You said that last time, do me a favor, get out, up to the dorms with you", said Ramsay.
Sandalwood then did so, frustrated that he couldn't cook rice properly.
The time was now 9:00 PM, only one hour remained to dinner service.
" BULK, come here", said Ramsay, Bulk approached him.
" What is this", said Ramsay, pointing at a pizza.
" It's a pizza Chef".
" I know it's a pizza, whats wrong with it".
" Nothing Chef".
" Exactly, every time a pizza is ordered, you screw it up the first attempt, and now this time, you haven't messed it up, you finally made a perfectly good pizza on your first attempt, but nobody has even ordered it", said Ramsay.
" Do you want me to throw it out", said Bulk.
" And waste food, no thank you, get out of here, and take this with you, F*cking Bon Appetite", said Ramsay, shoving the pizza onto Bulks hands.
Half an hour went by, and another dish was messed up, and Ramsay had just about had enough.
" Jacques, bring Vinyl and Trixie over, I have just about had enough", said Ramsay.
Soon, all eight chefs were in front of Ramsay.
" I've just about had it, first off I asked for a well done steak, if this is well done I'm a vegan, it's burnt, and Flash, you had the best signature dish yesterday, I expected more from you, and micro Chips, you served me Raw F*cking scallops, I've had enough, do you guys know what the problem is, none of you are showing good team work, but you can do to make up for that is make your way to the dorms, and come up with two individuals who you think are dead weight, piss off", he shouted.
Once the red team began leaving, the blue team continued service as normal, and ended it successfully.
The red team stood in their dorms, deciding on who to nominate.
" Any nominees", said Zephyr.
" First off I think Sandalwood, sorry dude, but you messed up on the Appetizers", said Flash.
" All in Favor on Sandalwood", said Trixie, eight hands were shown.
" Can I decide who should also be nominated", said Rainbow Dash.
" Okay, who do you think", said Micro.
" You or Flash, since you two were the ones who messed up on the scallops and steak", said Rainbow Dash.
" What about Fluttershy, she sent in an over seasoned garnish early in the service", said Micro Chips.
" Or Pinkie, she made that pudding that had too much sugar in it", said Trixie.
" That was just one mistake", said Pinkie Pie.
" Actually, I have someone else in mind to nominate", said Rainbow Dash.
" Who", said Fluttershy.
" Zephyr", said Rainbow Dash.
" She's right, do you really think you should stay here, after presenting a plate of lettuce as a signature dish", said Trixie.
" I'm not the one who messed up on tonight's service though", said Zephyr.
Later on, the blue team sat down on seats, and watched as the nine chefs of the red team, Vinyl, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Sandalwood, Zephyr, Trixie, Flash and Micro Chips stood in line in front of the kitchen, facing head Chef Ramsay.
" Rainbow Dash, has your team reached to a conscientious", said Ramsay.
" Yes we have", said Rainbow Dash.
" Who is your first nominee and why", said Ramsay.
" Our first Nominee is Sandalwood, he was not doing so well on Risottos, couldn't even cook the rice properly", said Rainbow Dash.
" Who's your second nominee", said Ramsay.
" Flash, after getting a 5 in the signature dish challenge, he should know better than to overcook a steak", said Rainbow Dash.
" Okay, Flash and Sandalwood, step forward", said Ramsay.
The two called out did so.
" Flash, why should you stay on Tartarus kitchen", said Ramsay.
" I should stay because I've been very confident, and I only messed up on the steak, and I've done really well until that last dish", said Flash.
" Sandalwood, why should you stay", said Ramsay.
" Look, I know I messed up on the rice, but I am very valuable, I just wasn't thinking straight, and under a lot of pressure, if you give me another chance, I'll improve myself", said Sandalwood.
" Okay, I made my decision, the person leaving Tartarus kitchen... is...
...
...
...
...
...Sandalwood, take off your Jacket, and leave the kitchen", said Ramsay.
Sighing defeatedly, Sandalwood took off his jacket.
" I appreciate the confidence you have Sandalwood, but, you are not ready to be the Head Chef, good night", said Ramsay.
Giving the jacket to the head Chef, Sandalwood left the kitchen.
Sandalwood's final comment, " It's a shame I left early, I was hoping to make it further than I thought, well I guess it's no ones fault but my own that I left very early".
Meanwhile Ramsay turned to everyone else.
" That's one down, and unless you want to leave the same way and Sandalwood did, wake up, now get out of here", said Ramsay.
As the remaining seventeen chefs headed back to the dorms, Chef Ramsay hung Sandalwood's jacket on the hook.
Ramsay's final comment, " To be a great chef you need to cook your dishes perfectly, not overcooked or under cooked, Sandalwood just didn't seem to get that, so now his time in Tarturus kitchen is overdue".
18th place: Sandalwood.
17 Chef's remaining.
And that's it for now, 17 chefs remain, who will be eliminated next will be revealed in the next chapter, until then, that's all for now.
