Kakashi and His three Genin

They just finished training with Kakashi Sensei. Their sensei's understanding of "training" was bossing them around while he lazed around. Usually, he would just disappear after they finished their D-rank missions. Today though, he treated them to dinner.

"The food was so good wasn't it Sakura-chan??" Naruto screamed next to her ear.

Flinching back, she reached out to touch her ringing ear. She was about to yell at him when she saw he was looking at her guiltily. Well, it's not his fault that he's such a big fluffy ball of energy.

"The 'food' was ramen, of course, you'd think it was good." On the other side of her, Sasuke huffed. Kakashi Sensei called from the front as Naruto was about to retaliate.

"Nee, Sasuke, from the way I saw you practically inhale your bowl I would think you enjoyed it too." Sensei had turned his head to smile at them with his visible eye.

Sakura chuckled as she saw Sasuke duck behind the collar of his shirt. A blush on his cheeks. To save him from further embarrassment (probably from naruto) she pointed at their Sensei.

"We wouldn't have been so hungry if you had helped us at some of those missions Sensei!"

Sensei stopped and turned around.

"What will you learn if I keep helping you three?" His weird novel was out but his attention was fully on the three of them. For the first time since being a Genin, Sakura was thankful that the novel existed. She decided right then and there that having their sensei's undivided attention was not something she wanted.

Then the atmosphere shifted and their lazy, aloof sensei was back. Putting the hand with his weird novel on his hips, he ruffled Sasuke's hair with the other. "Besides it's fun to see my cute genins work together!"

Behind the mask, she could see his smile. Smiling came naturally to him.

Sakura wondered if any of his smiles were real.
